Family Guy is one of the most popular animated cartoons shown on TV via the Fox Broadcasting Company

We here @ NOG Motorsport love the show and during a rather drunken online get together it was discussed as to who was who within our group and of course the subject arose to getting around to tuning a car to apply a tribute to the show. Of course the only possible car to apply our skills was on the Mazda Familia.

Luckily, we already had a car tuned for Forza 4 in D class which already had a top 100 time but was sitting in the back of NoGoldie's garage gathering dust waiting for the opportunity to shine .. and shine it certainly did.

Family Guy characters and logos were beautifully created by OldManDNO whilst the basic design and sponsors were added to the car by NoGoldie. Sponsors such as Quagmire Lubricants, Cleveland Logistics, Swanson Wheels, Quahof Tires & Quahog Motors were an absolute must, keeping the car fully themed to the Family Guy Show with a little wicked twist which I am sure is fully 'in character' with the shows production team.

Forza 4 - Tuning The BingoCams Berlinetta

BingoCams is an online gaming website that is frequently visited by many a forza widow. whose partners are just too involved in tuning forza 4 motors for their own and others gaming pleasures. (that would be me!)

According to the official BingoCams website there are a variety of online games available to entertain your partners while you've got your foot pressed 'pedal to the metal' on Forza Motorsport 4. There are obviously bingo games, as well as roulette, blackjack, slot machines and others available to keep your partner from walking in front of the TV while your trying to negotiate the dreaded carousel @ Nurburgring Nordschleife ...

Live Bingo with webcams is surely the way to go in respect to online gaming and some of the sights that are seen when winners are suddenly thrown up onto your screen has to be seen to be believed ... now, try and not to be too 'catty' when they do win, that would just be mean! .. Live bingo chat will also keep your partners well occupied as they moan about your latest racing exploits to total strangers on the net.

The Forza 4 Tuning process for this car all started from running an untuned version in an online lobby within the game @ Catalunya GP ...

To be quite frank the car was understeering quite horribly, yet, for a driver like myself the car was still turning in some pretty decent lap times in or around the 2:02.xxx to 2:01.xxx range. Close enough to my personal best time to give me the inspiration to tune the car to really see what it would do when the handling side of things were well and trully 'sorted out'

It wasn't too long before the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta was dropping some eye popping times with the best during tuning sessions being a 1:58.8xx and a definite new PB by some considerable margin of almost 3 seconds !

And, this was the point at which it was decided to give the car a lick of paint .. now, what paint shall we have? .. well, the answer to that one is plain for you all to see and was only decided upon following a rather quick heads up from my partner 'Dinkydoo' to demand a 'cup of tea' to parch her bingocams throat whilst waiting on the next game ..

Forza 4 Hyundai Veloster Turbo 2013

Forza 4 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

There are two versions of the all new Hyundai Veloster within the Forza Motorsport 4 game. The first being a 'standard' road going vehicle which starts off in the C Class catefgory the other being a fully fledged race car which for the purposes of this posting will no longer be mentioned.

It is with the c class car we will stay as this is the class we chose to tune the living daylights oit of the car to see what could possibly be acheived with this recent addition to the Forza 4 franchise. Initially, the car was given a full set of racing boots and all the race weight reductions we could find. However, having run the car to its limits it very much missed out on being anything that would give other cars in C Class a good race.

So with the assistance of LeeGT24 the car was re-built and rebuilt until the Veloster would drop sopme decent times around the place. The final decision was to go for all the horses under the hood and sacrifice some weight and grip to turn this into a real speed merchant.

Suzuka West was the first ribbon to fall to the charms of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo quickly followed by Nurburgring Nordschleife Full along with stages A, C & D. most of these times live in the top 100 places on the Forza 4 leaderboards.

Now, when it came to a lick of paint for the car, a good friend of mine, GeneralLeeCrap made the MAXXIS logo and the general paint and logo placements was done by me - NoGoldie. We think we got balance pretty much correct with the carbon fibre hood creation to the orange / black / white combo.

Forza 4 Tuning - Top 100 Cars

Since the introduction of Forza 4 here in the UK on the 14th October 2011 NoG Motorsports have been performing Forza 4 Tuning Tweaks to their online racing cars.

As discussed in a previous article dedicated to the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth we promised to provide some kick ass tuning to this car as soon as the game came out. We acheived our goals, and this particular car is available in both C Class (PI 425) and B Class (PI 500) ..

We shall bring you some of the top 100 times that this particular model acheived shortly, however we would also like to point out to you that there are other cars worthy of a mention in the top 100 forza 4 tuned cars that NoG Motorsports can provide to enhance your gameing pleasure ...

Forza Video & Forza 4 Videos by NOG Motorsport

Creating a forza video can be a very relaxing time for many forza motorsport enthusiasts, cutting and pasting clips from the original forza video provided generously by Turn 10.

Methods Of Producing A Forza Video

1. Direct from a Capture Card - We used Pinnacle Dazzle Platinum to produce some of our videos and we can genuinely say the results were very good

2. Forza Video via Digital Camcorders - If you have a steady camcorder tripod then taking a forza video becomes as easy as pressing a button. Once recorded the video on your memory card will need to be loaded into a suitable video editor ... we recommend Windows Movie Maker mainly because it is free ... you must make sure that your camcorder video is suitable for this program. If it isn't then an additional video encoder will be required. Once you get thru the technical aspects of things, this method gives a good result and totally suitable for Youtube.

3. Video Capture Via Mobile Phone - If your phone is high spec enough then you shouldn't have much trouble with this. Even uploading a forza video directly to your favoured video upload site. Obviously we chose youtube. However, our forza videos can be seen on other platforms.

Once Forza Motorsport 4 hits the street then you can be assured that we will have a forza video for you. We intend on providing all sorts of forza videos on most topics including : Forza Tuning from inception to release, how to paint your own forza racing livery, the best lines through the tracks, online forza racing action from our very own NOG Forza Racing Room and much, much more

Ford Escort RS Cosworth Finds Forza 4

Forza Motorsport 4 News ...

The 1992 model Ford Escort RS Cosworth is a very welcome addition to the Forza 4 franchise for us here @ NOG Motorsport ...

If there was ever a car that was top of our lists for tuning then surely it has to be the Escort RS Cossie. Now, let us all pray .. please, please let this awesome little speed freak be as devilish in the virtual world of forza motorsport 4 as it was back in my day on the little country roads of Wales, hammering the life out of the car whilst playing 'smoke on the water' at full volume at 3am in the morning!

Initially the 'real' Ford Escort RS Cosworth had what can only be described as a punchy 2 litre, turbocharged engine that used to rocket towards any available corner, squiggle on the brakes as the sudden realisation that it was probably safer to apply the brakes in the first place ... get its rear end nicely tweaked towards the bank and then throttle down and head for the exit again at what seemed then to be break-neck speeds. It trully was a classic feel to the car, probably due to the permanent 4 wheel drive system and the exceedingly generous 34 / 66% split on the AWD differentials.

Look out Forza 4 . .the escort cossie is heading straight for you and from the buzz I'm getting from the seat of my pants it will definitely be one of the first cars to get the NOG treatment upon release of the game. I'm pretty sure it will be tweaked for the likes of Positano where handling, speed and agility are pretty much paramount to laying down a good laptime. I can also invisage the car doing well @ Fujimi, Suzuka West, Laguna Seca and a few others hopefully.

Lets see what the official Forza Motorsport 4 release brings and I will be sure to update this posting once I get my hands on the almighty 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth ... it had better be almighty else I may cry !

Forza Motorsport 4

Forza 4 ... will undoubtedly be the biggest and probably the best release within the Forza Motorsport Franchise to date if current insider information from the Forza Community has anything to do with it. Hundreds of models of cars from more than 80 car manufacturers, the best driving circuits from around the globe with a few Forza 'specials' thrown in for good measure.

According to the makers of Forza 4, Forza Motorsport 4 will redifine the online community and is an entirely new car experience. NoG Motorsports are holding Turn 10 Studios to their words on these two counts and look forwards to once again bringing to the game some of the best tuned virtual racing cars within this gaming franchise.

NoG Motorsports was originally founded way back in the early days of Forza Motorsport 2 when a little known member of AG Tuning decided to hang up his 'reseller' boots and go and do some serious online racing rather than spend hours and hours buying, building and auctioning pre-tuned, pre-painted cars from the AG Tuning Garage.

In what seemed like a very short space of time and having been tuning his own cars with his son to dominate the online circuits, NoGoldie decided to release his first car to the Forza Community. If memory recalls that car was a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX that probably had one of the most basic paint jobs ever seen at the online auction house. The car did rather well and further tuning endeavours were forthcoming ...

The 'French Friar' VW Golf Mk2 was the next on the list and due to it's superior performance figures it became necessary to form the Nitrous Oxide Garage, aptly named because of the rag tag crew of people who came together to have a damn good laugh and to tune & paint cars within the game. Things just grew from there as more and more cars were put through their paces with a majority of cars ending up within the top 100 positions on the Forza Motorsport Leaderboards.

Then along came Forza Motorsport 3 ... with all new tuning requirements to make those virtual racing cars perform to their optimum level ... and NOG Motorsports was born ... again providing the very best tuned cars and stunning race liveries for the enjoyment of the Forza Motorsport Community.

And now, as Forza 4 approaches in the middle part of October 2011, NoG Motorsports will be there, alive & kicking and just iching to get our hands on the merchandise to once again provide Forza Fans everywhere with the chance to improve their positions within the leaderboards and more importantly to compete for those all important podium places within the 16 player lobbies. With new tyre logistics being provided by Pirelli, we're sure to have to up our game faces once again to a level where we can be proud of our NoG traditions. We're certainly looking forwards to our Forza 4 Motorsports opportunity to shine.

Are we done with saying enough about Forza 4 ... probably not ... we have an avalanche of stuff to share with you all regarding Forza Motorsport 4 right up until the release date and well beyond to bring you the best Forza 4 experience we can provide ...
