Vi börjar med att ha ett par bilder under helt OK ljusförhållanden. Här är en taklampa tänd, men något neddimmad. Redan här börjar iPhone 4s få lite problem, och resultatet är inte lika fantastiskt som det är när man tar bilder under bra ljusförhållanden:

Och för sakens skull har jag tagit en bild med en iPhone 4. Den ger såklart snäppet sämre resultat – på gränsen till riktigt, riktigt dåligt:

Med samma mängd ljus, får du detta resultat med en Canon EOS 550D och ett fast 50mm objektiv (1,4). Det hade såklart gått att få ännu bättre resultat med stativ, lägre ISO-tal och liknande, men jag vill verkligen visa skillnaden med en snabbt tagen bild utan en massa krånglande:

Men, vi släcker ner nästan helt och hållet. Visst skulle det gå att använda den inbyggda blixten och få någon slags acceptabel bild men poängen är att testa vad den går för under riktigt dåliga ljusförhållanden.

Det ser inte så muntert ut va? En praktiskt taget oanvändbar bild. Och här kommer bilden som iPhone 4 klarade av att prestera. Självfallet ännu lite sämre:

Det är nu det blir riktigt intressant. En modern systemkamera klarar att leverera en bra bild även under riktigt påvra ljusförhållanden. Och det ska den självklart göra också. Mycket glas framför en stor ljuskänslig sensor slår mobiltelefonernas kameror på fingrarna ordentligt. Point proven, en mobiltelefonkamera behöver mycket ljus för att kunna ta riktigt bra bilder.

Remembering Steve Jobs

Det verkar vara många som är besvikna över Apples presskonferens ikväll och saknade en iPhone 5, men jag tycker ändå att iPhone 4s är ett helt OK kliv framåt. Det jag främst saknar med min mobiltelefon idag är en riktigt bra kamera, och iPhone 4s har just det – en riktigt bra kamera. En snabb kamera med en upplösning på 8 megapixels, men den stora grejen är att den verkar ha bra optik. Att kunna ha ett kortare skärpedjup när man fotograferar gör verkligen underverk för slutresultatet och testbilderna ser riktigt bra ut.

Utöver det så har den en ny smart röststyrning (som initialt inte klarar av svenska), en snabbare processor (dual-core A5, samma som iPad 2), samt 4G (snabbare dataöverföring). Telefonen lanseras den 22 oktober och som vanligt lär det bli svårt att få tag på en lur under de första veckorna. Priserna i USA blir
$199 för 16GB-modellen, $299 för 32GB-modellen samt $399 för 64GB-modellen.

Det börjar dra ihop sig för Apples stora event, där de antagligen presenterar två nya iPhone modeller. Apple Store har redan stängt portarna och bör öppna igen runt klockan 21 – och då vet vi betydligt mer om vad vi har att förvänta oss för godsaker under hösten!

Idag bekräftade Apple att de kommer att hålla ett iPhone-event den 4:e oktober i San Francisco. Antagligen kommer de att presentera iPhone 5 och kanske en billigare iPhone-modell också. Vi får väl se, spännande är det iallafall.

Många med mig har haft ett amerikanskt iTunes-konto i flera år just av den enkla anledningen att man har velat kunna hyra film till sin iPad eller motsvarande i iTunes. Idag verkar det som om man äntligen lyckats få till alla avtal med de svenska filmbolagen och lanserat både köp och uthyrning av film i iTunes. Mycket efterlängtat, och det var på tiden…!
