In the U.S., GMOs can be snuck into our bodies because they don’t yet have to be labeled.
Under the new “Monsanto Protection Act” GMO crops can be planted and grown without courts stopping them, even if there is evidence of danger (see Section 735 of H.R. 933), until an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is prepared — which can take years.
The Monsanto “rider” (Section 735) was snuck into a 240-page government funding bill and was hidden so most politicians, who rarely read the actual bills, probably did not even know it was there.
To date, no one in Congress claims ownership of Section 735, though speculation is emerging that Roy Blunt, a Senator from Missouri, is responsible. Blunt has serious financial ties to Monsanto. Monsanto’s home state is Missouri.

In Europe, which has mostly banned GMOs, the tide turned when people actually took to the fields to destroy the crops that were destroying their farms and their lives. We need to ask ourselves where self-defense starts when toxins are being snuck and forced into our bodies through the food, water, air and “laws.”

Bullet Points — Paying for Ammunition That Might Be Used Against You?

I have been asked by various people to comment on this recent article in the mainstream financial magazine, Forbes: 1.6 Billion Rounds of Ammo for Homeland Security? It’s Time for a National Conversation.

I am happy to address the article because it brings up some useful perspectives for us all to inspect. I encourage you to read the Forbes article, if you haven’t already, before reading my analysis below. It will make a lot more sense that way!

As reported, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has an open purchase order for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, some for hollow-point rounds (forbidden by international law in war), and a large amount for specialized snipers. This would be enough to sustain a war in America for more than 20 years…less than 6 million rounds a month were used at the height of the Iraq war.

So, first there is the critical question:

“Why in the world would the US domestic security force need enough bullets to wage an Iraq-style war for 20 years?”

When the DHS was first caught buying these huge volumes of ammunition, the official excuse was that they were for “training exercises.” That didn’t hold up, because even the military doesn’t use very expensive, hugely destructive “hollow point” bullets for target practice.

So the next reason concocted was that the government was saving us, the taxpayers, money by “buying in bulk.” So as they are cutting back on teachers, roads and air-traffic controllers, they are spending outrageous amounts on bullets that would destroy the entire target for which they were supposedly to be used?

It’s scenarios like this that are awakening people to the dire need for critical thinking. The good news is that Forbes is a very mainstream publication and they are actually covering an event that is inexplicable without some sort of understanding of a much more far-reaching and systemic agenda for consolidating of control.

In the Forbes article, they only follow the money/motivation as far as the notion that “bureaucrats are running amok” with their irresponsible spending. They distance themselves from the only sentence that gets to the heart of the matter by writing that “scaling back” on such expenses would “somewhat defuse, by the government making itself less armed-to-the-teeth, the anxiety of those who mistrust the benevolence of the federales.”

So if the notion of covert planning of an illegal or immoral nature, i.e. – “conspiracy,” has seemed far fetched before, perhaps now would be a good time to reconsider.

It’s worth noting that it took Forbes eleven months — almost a year to catch on to — or be willing to — publish this news. Paul Watson, Alex Jones and the Infowars team have been covering it since last summer — through tracking government procurement bids — what used to be called “investigative reporting.” I was alerting people to these developments on my trips to Australia and Mexico in the fall.

The government rationalizations clearly don’t make any common sense, so in what context can we understand such actions? Is there a lens through which this is explainable? I believe these bullets are in preparation for domestic blowback that those perpetrating the agenda for domination and control anticipate is coming. If you’re living in the United States, that means these deadly bullets are being purchased by your military to use against you here on your home turf if you resist the plan that is being implemented. If that sounds hard to believe, let’s look at the evidence.

The IMF, the World Bank, Goldman Sachs and the so-called Washington consensus (the mega-banks and multi-national corporations operating through the US government and military) have already taken down Ecuador, Chile, Panama, Tanzania, Bolivia, Thailand, Japan, Russia, Iceland, Greece, Spain and other countries around the world with the sort of debt, austerity and assassination strategies described by John Perkins in “Confessions of an Economic Hitman.” In every country taken over this way, there was “blowback” — people resisting in the streets. This resistance is usually mislabeled with such terms as “insurgency” and “terrorism.” The perpetrators know it is always going to happen when they steal people’s resources and ruin their lives. This awakening and resistance is the same dynamic that is beginning to grow in America, as we experience the deterioration of our rights, our privacy, our paychecks, our retirement, the safety of our communities and the value of our currency. The demise of the US economy is a critical part of a documented plan to impose a one-world government that transcends national sovereignty and puts the entire planet under the thumb of the financial elite using the World Bank, the WTO, the UN and NATO as their fronts (see the movie, THRIVE, for more on this). The purchase of nearly two billion deadly bullets by an agency whose only jurisdiction is America is not a mistake; it is not random; it is not benevolent. It is a dangerous threat to us all.

The stock market has been artificially pumped up by the Federal Reserve printing presses (diluting the actual purchasing power of your dollars) in what they candy-coat with the name “Quantitative Easing.” And the precious metals markets, especially gold, appear to be artificially suppressed by covert manipulation. Both of these strategies fool many people into thinking there is a real recovery going on and they should stay in the stock market and out of the street protests.

But let’s look through the lens of an Agenda for Global Domination, as described in the documentary film, THRIVE, that includes the demise of America. If you were planning the collapse of the economy, trying to institute a global authority and preparing to handle historic blowback, you might want to:

Dismantle constitutional rights
✓ Patriot Act

Create and authorize total surveillance
✓ Drones, TSA, diluting FISA, Bluffdale, Utah Cyber Spy Center

Prepare to take control of the Internet
✓ Jay Rockefeller’s Cyber-security Act

Prepare prison camps for dissenters
✓ FEMA camps

Legalize indefinite detention, torture and assassination of “dissidents”
✓ NDAA, Natural Defense Resources Preparedness

Accustom people to military maneuvers in urban areas
✓ Blackhawk helicopter drills in Minneapolis and Oakland

Move heavy weapons to strategic locations
✓ Tanks being moved around the country

Authorize the use of the military against US citizens
✓ Cancel Posse Comitatus, Executive orders

Create plan to centralize authority in the Executive Branch
✓ COG — Continuity of Government authorizations (Cheney, Rumsfeld)

And you would want to:

Take away as many guns as possible from those who might object to the globalist plan — especially the automatic weapons that would be a match for the soldiers imposing martial law and rounding up protesters.

Stockpile lots and lots of bullets — to use against those of us resisting and to deplete the market for those citizens wanting to purchase ammunition.

So when you try on this perspective… (just do a browser search for any items with which you aren’t familiar) does the fact that everything on this list has already been done seem like mere coincidence? Does it seem like it is all to protect us from foreign “terrorists” who hate our freedom? Or does it start to seem obvious that Henry Kissinger was serious when he said publicly,

“Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.”

Most of the “Global Domination Agenda (GDA) list” above (from Railway cars with shackles to Drones authorized for use over US communities) has actually now been covered to varying extents by the mainstream media — usually 6–12 months behind the alternative sources.

So what to do?

Wake up. Speak up. Link up. Stand up.

Sandy Hook — Tragedy, Drugs, Rights and Common Sense

With the holidays and all the travel of I have been doing with THRIVE, I find myself missing being more in touch with this amazing network. I will be starting to share some reflections and my interpretation of the news on a few of the prominent issues of these times.

First I want to address the truly sad tragedy of the Sandy Hook massacre of children and teachers… Tears had barely begun to flow before the panderers started trying to use it to obscure critical thinking and take away more rights. With the utmost compassion for all the victims and their families, I invite us to – in their honor – look more deeply into underlying mental health, security and human rights issues.

The stakes are obviously high given the unprecedented government response to undermine the right to bear arms as highlighted in the Second Amendment. There are two key areas where facts and understanding are vital.

First, Adam Lanza was reportedly on an anti-psychotic medication called Fanapt.

Here is a completely mind-boggling, but still only partial list of recent incidents correlating the use of mind altering SSRI, “anti-depressant” type drugs with mass violence.

Here are two videos conveying the same message:

I have seen the behavior of people I know go totally bizarre on these drugs and get even worse when they try to break the addiction to them. The film The Marketing of Madness goes into great depth explaining and documenting this dangerous phenomenon.

I know one renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Rima Laibow, who has effectively treated mental illness in young people without using these pharmaceuticals. In this video, she mimics the viral YouTube clip “I am Adam Lanza’s Mother” to speak generically about the challenge of mental health care by truly listening to and interacting with disturbed young people.

Second, regarding so-called “gun-control”… I personally underwent a dramatic transformation in my understanding over a decade ago. For much of my life, I assumed that if we just get rid of guns, there will be much less violence and people will be safer. I finally encountered facts that made me think deeper.

Here are some hard facts that need to be integrated into any truly comprehensive critical thinking about the issue.

A Little Gun History

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

During World War II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

One of the hardest realizations to face is that the most dangerous murderers have been tyrants waging war against those within their own borders who disagree with them and might undermine their power and control. Most Americans think it can’t happen here, but it is already. In my travels, I have talked with people from Italy, Russia, Germany, Spain, Argentina, China and other countries who consistently share that the early stages of the destructive tyrannies in their countries were just like what is happening now in the US — as well as in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe etc.

Are we really supposed to believe that all of the following Draconian measures — occurring in the US in just the past decade since 9/11 — is mere coincidence?

Patriot Act
NDAA, FEMA camps
Military Commissions Act
Cyber-Security Act
National Defense Resources Preparedness
NSA 1.2 Billion hollow-point Bullets
Drones over US territory
Checkpoints in Malibu
Blackhawk Helicopter drills in Minneapolis
Tanks being moved around the country
Total Surveillance
TSA groping
RFID Chips
… and much, much more …

And that it just so happens that now the US government is going after civilian’s ability to protect themselves FROM THE GOVERNMENT!? A new leak seems to indicate that Obama’s new litmus test for military commanders is whether or not they are willing to fire on US citizens.

So the notion that the “authorities should be the only ones with powerful guns” has got to be unpacked to the next levels. Switzerland has one of the highest rates of armed and trained citizens and one of the lowest rates of gun violence.

The 2^nd Amendment was not just about hunting or home invasion. Its primary purpose was to empower people to protect themselves from corrupt, authoritarian government. So if the tyrants have powerful assault weapons, what will sane people who demand freedom use to protect themselves?

But where do guns fit in with the Principle of Non-violation? The key is the “non-initiation of force.” Aligning with non-aggression does not preclude people from protecting themselves, other innocents and their property in self-defense. Mahatma Gandhi himself was an advocate of the right to bear arms and recommended “training in arms.”

Martin Luther King had armed guards (deacons) for marches in 1964:

Here’s Thomas Jefferson on the right to bear arms:

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

And of course it is critical for us to keep inspecting the actual facts themselves when a story fits the gun grab agenda in such a timely and perfect way. Look at the contradictions, inconsistencies and suspicious omissions in the Sandy Hook story — starting at 6:25 of this video:

Obama is trying to impose as much of his agenda as possible by dictatorial mandate — what we now call Executive Order.

And how do the drug and gun issues come together? The mainstream press would rather keep the drug risks buried for now until the guns are taken. They also want to protect their top paying commercial sponsors — Big Pharma.

So what is the answer to all of this tragedy, posturing and authoritarian theft? I believe a thoughtful and careful transition to an entirely new paradigm of social organizing, where instead of political posturing about which right will be taken and who gets to grab what from whom, we move beyond coercive consolidation of power and force to the equal empowerment of all, where our morality and accountability can’t be hidden behind legislative authoritarian rule.

This requires a new way of relating to ourselves and to each other. So does living in a police state. I honestly believe that is the choice we are making…whether we work for true freedom or fall prey to the distraction of the ever-increasing “totalitarian tiptoe” that gun control surveillance, kidnapping, torture, assassination and all the rest represent. What true liberty means, how it works and how we can get there will be my major focus in the next two years — and probably the rest of my life.

Reality Check

One of the motives I had for making THRIVE was to make it easier for us all to engage in more informed and effective solutions. Debating information when facts can be known is a dangerous distraction from the more important and leveraged conversations that we need to be having, so we invested in having third-party fact-checking to verify – or not – our research.

We’ve now put together “Reality Check” – a quick, fun way for you to check your facts on critical information. You can take it here, and then share it with friends and family to have a common understanding of what’s really going on – and what we can do about it.

The first of the top 10 actions that we recommend in the movie THRIVE, is to “get informed, speak up, and connect with others”. Taking THRIVE’s Reality Check is a great way to get informed and connect with others – share it and see where the conversation leads. Why is knowing the facts so important? Because your understanding of reality shapes your actions.

For example: if you know that the Central Bank in your country (such as the Federal Reserve in the U.S.) is privately owned and operated and that no other agency can overrule actions that they take, then it becomes much more obvious that transparency and an audit of its actions are a reasonable first step solution. However, without this fact, you may think your Central Bank was just another inept government institution already subject to oversight. Instead, getting the facts straight allows us to consider the implications of having private central bankers in control of the money supply. It begs new questions: What role did these bankers have in the recent economic collapse? If they are independently in charge of the money supply, are they responsible for our current economic situation? How can we avoid making the same mistake again? What would meaningful reform look like?

Another example: say you’re talking about 9/11. Here are some basic facts: Building 7, a 47-story skyscraper was not hit by a plane, yet it collapsed in 6.5 seconds in the exact manner of a controlled demolition [1]; no high-rise steel-framed building has ever collapsed into its own footprint from fire alone [2]; there was very little visible airplane debris where flight 93 supposedly crashed in Pennsylvania; and the impact zone on the Pentagon was nowhere near the size of the Boeing 757 that supposedly hit it, and all local security videos that would have recorded the crash were confiscated by the FBI.[3] Some videos were released following a FOIA request and none of them show the impact. The 3 closest surveillance videos, which should show what impacted the Pentagon, have been kept in custody. These are facts, and knowing them can help generate an informed discussion about what really happened, what the ramifications might be of a misleading official story, and what can we do about it.

So, with that, I encourage you to take THRIVE’s Reality Check and share it with your network so that we can get on with informed discussions and grounded solutions that can truly meet the challenges we face.

Georgia Kelly, founder of the Praxis Peace Institute in Marin County, has posted a fearful review of THRIVE on the Huffington Post. Ms. Kelly has been active in Liberal Democrat politics, and she mistakenly assumes that I am a covert Right-winger, and then goes about attacking that position and me. Her supposition is not true, so she seems to end up missing both the value of THRIVE and critical insights that can inform breakthrough solutions strategies to help humanity escape our lethal situation and flourish. Patrick Bruner, one of the Occupy Wall St. organizers, on a recent Nation panel, disagreed with both Naomi Klein and Michael Moore that a massive state intervention was what was needed now, saying that Occupy was rejecting the usual “political binary” and seeking solutions that were not dependent on the “corrupting institution” of government. I believe had Georgia Kelly been there, he would have disagreed with her, too.

I am grateful to Ms. Kelly for the impetus to explore publicly what moving beyond the “political binary” might look like, although I’m sorry about her substance-less name-calling that I will address later. I believe paradigm-shifting solution strategies are the most compelling issue of our times. They are also some of the most challenging to address because to question government’s role sounds heartless if the yardstick used to measure compassion is how many services the government should provide to those in need.

I will begin this exploration by stating unequivocally that my intention in exploring a new paradigm of social organization is to help eliminate human and environmental suffering and to have all people experience true liberty and a chance to thrive. I do not mean just the majority, or as determined by someone else, but in essence, as the fundamental building block of self-realization and justice.

What I had found with both left and right wing positions was that the bird that both wings are attached to is something called Collectivism.

Collectivists on the so-called Left and Right seem to agree that:

1. Rights are derived from the state;

2. The group is more important than the individual;

3. Coercion is the preferred method to bring about reform;

4. Laws should be applied differently to different classes;

5. Providing benefits (redistributing wealth) is the proper role of government.

The main disagreement among them is over how those principles should be applied. Looking into the principles themselves is where the moral dilemma arises because so long as rights are derived from the State, then they can be taken away by the State. That is why the key distinction, I believe, for our survival is not between red shirt fascism and blue shirt socialism (which both want big government to enforce their own agenda on others), but between collectivism and absolute respect for human rights.

The Right grows government to wage war and subsidize mega corporations and the Left grows government to take over virtually every aspect of our lives. And the bankers smile all the way to...well, the bank.

To find a new way, I believe a deepening of logic and morality is required... along with a practical plan — based on principles rather than politics — to transition compassionately from where we are now to a truly free and thriving world. That is why I propose the 3 stage strategy in THRIVE and on the website, where we keep the goal of true freedom and voluntary association in mind, while taking care of those most in need with money saved by cutting way back on the military expenditures and getting rid of the Federal Reserve and its associated robbery.

Stage 1 generates greatly increased income for people by ensuring an honest money system and reducing the military budget, and uses the support of government to fund existing programs and take care of those most disenfranchised without creating further violations in the form of involuntary taxes. This is especially where social democrats like Georgia Kelly and Dennis Kucinich could contribute greatly as advisors in the short term transition, but only in the context of decreasing the size and authority of government as integrity and prosperity are restored. As people have more money they can afford to provide for themselves and each other some of what the government has been providing — and allows them to do it with ingenuity, diversity and without the control that government “support” always imposes.

Stage 2 shrinks government as people are increasingly empowered to choose for themselves how to create and sustain their communities. People would be able to afford and to choose the schools, healthcare, insurance etc. that they feel works best for them, rather than be mandated by force to be indoctrinated in state schools, vaccinated with toxins against their will, forced to eat GMO foods, drink fluoridated water, be deprived of natural supplements and all the rest. All of this, along with getting rid of the Federal Reserve and getting out of foreign wars of aggression, is where people like Ron and Rand Paul could be very effective. This staged process is an essential part of the strategy proposed in THRIVE. The key determining factor of the Stages is the essential concept voluntary — people can choose to have others make decisions on their behalf and pool money to do so. It is simply not at the threat of violence if they choose not to.

Stage 3 is a fully voluntary system of social organizing that relies on the empowerment and prosperity of individuals that honest money systems and voluntary associations make possible.

If there were a way to have good roads, accessible quality education and healthcare, a respected system of justice etc. — without anyone being violated against their will — would you want that? There are brilliant people who have spent years exploring these new paradigm systems. Most have not adequately dealt with transition strategies and can sound heartless when they don’t address getting compassionately from where we are to the voluntary system they articulate. But we are capable of developing the transition strategies and taking advantage of the profound thinking they have done to guide our transitions to a new beacon of true liberty for all. The fact that their thinking is incomplete does not render it useless. Some Americans used to anguish that the economy would not survive without slavery. Then a moral imperative was acted upon. We are at a similar crossroads with the dictates and abuses of the State.

In the 3 staged solutions process we propose, there would be prosperity arising out of Stages 1 and 2 that would allow people to take care of one another much better than the State ever has. People have been shown to be much more inclined and able to take care of themselves and one another through civic, service and neighborhood organizations than State authorities — Katrina is but one example.

As for Kelly’s comment that I “lump democracy in with bigotry, imperialism, socialism, and fascism and says they all — including democracy! — violate the "intrinsic freedom of others." I welcome the chance to address this:

I spent many years stretching my own understanding in a quest for why our system of governance is not working and what principles, rather than politics, can steer us toward thriving. I had to let go of socially comfortable beliefs again and again to finally find what felt like the core that we have been missing.

I came to realize that in a democracy no one has inherent rights, no inalienable ownership of self. Their supposed rights are what the majority decides to let them do or have. A lynch mob, slavery, prohibiting women from voting are all acceptable, legal even, if they are the will of the majority, because the idea of the “State” is given pre-eminence over the rights of any individual... and thus creaks open the gateway to tyranny and destruction. Is Democracy better than fascism? Sure. But why should those be our only options?

I am confident from Ms. Kelly’s life and work that she is a compassionate person dedicated to a world where people can flourish. I asked her in an earlier correspondence if she was an avowed socialist and she responded, “I lean socialist because I find that philosophy to be more humane.”

It is easy to think that the State redistributing wealth and the means of production and distribution to the “people” would be better than the current state-subsidized corporate takeover. But note that it is the State granting this redistribution, not any intrinsic right that we have to ourselves and our livelihood. This so-called remedy requires violation and is a slippery slope, as history has proven. After all, Nazi was short for the National Socialist Party.

The only “true North” I know of is integrity — starting with recognizing and honoring the nature of true freedom. Both Georgia Kelly and I want the sick to be taken care of, the poor to be fed, and the children to have fruitful education. What differs is how we envision that happening. Currently the good intentions of helping people in need are being manipulated to support just the opposite results. The “State” always does lip service to this kind of caretaking, while taking more and more of people’s money and liberty, and then by the time people catch on, we are in a police state — and we are very close. So the usual liberal strategy is to hope for “enlightened leaders”...but it has never, ever worked that way, because in a system based at its very core on violence (taking away a lot of your income, at the point of a gun if necessary), that core authorization always leads to further corruption and violation.

Ms. Kelly has mislabeled me as “right wing” and started lobbing word grenades over a self-created ideological fence. What I want to explore is “What is just” and “What works?” So I challenge Ms. Kelly and any who are interested in this conversation to answer the most fundamental moral question I know of:

Just exactly when, for you, is it OK for one human being to take your property — be it your body, your wages, or your privacy — against your will and under the threat of violence?

That is what mandatory taxation is, though we are not taught to think it through that way. If some individual does not feel it is just to have a mandatory portion of their hard earned income taken away, they will be fined even more, and if they still refuse, people with guns will come and take them forcibly to prison or shoot them if they resist. Throughout history, when a group gets that power, it builds inevitably toward tyranny (Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, Guantanamo, Torture, FEMA camps and now...The National Defense Authorization Act), and then ultimately revolution. But with today’s technological weaponry, a violent revolution could spell the end of life as we know it.

Many have heard the Einstein quote about problems not being resolvable at the same level that they were created. This, I believe, is one of those moments for each of us. If the one thing we can all agree with is that no one should be able to violate another, then it behooves us to evaluate the justice, even the sanity, of counting on a violence-based mandatory income taxation system to end violence.

We have been duped, you and I, and just about everyone else we know, by our schools, by our media, by our churches — from a very early age — to believe in the bank/corporation/government patriarchy as an absolute necessity, even our salvation.

We have bought into the puppet show portraying that the “good politicians” — the ones on “our” team — are going to save the day, and we should bail out the bankers for our own good. Barack Obama, with his promises of change and hope is the ultimate evidence of what the power structure and agenda really are. When he hires the guys from the Federal Reserve and Goldman who collapsed the economy to “fix” it, and the folks from Monsanto to head up agriculture, and a guy who advocated covert tranquilizing of the population through agents in the water supply as the health czar, and on and on...it is getting clearer to more people that he actually works for the five levels of corporate and banking forces above him who selected him to begin with.

Let me take a moment to address some of the unfortunate name calling in Ms. Kelly’s critique.

New Agey? - She complains without any explanation that THRIVE is “New Agey.” Was it the reference to love, harmony, and inner guidance? Since when did those get co-opted?

Pseudo-scientific? – I am unclear on what basis of expertise or evidence Ms. Kelly utters such a slur. We are receiving appreciations, papers and offers of collaboration from scientists from all over the world. One of the senior scientists at the Harvard Smithsonian Astrophysics Institute is now holding screenings for high level colleagues, stating on the record that,

“I would enjoy an extended conversation with [Foster], because I greatly admire and respect him for what he has done; I believe he has been on the correct path. I could hardly be more aligned with anybody in addressing such a vast topic.”

Reactionary? – The film responds to the lethal misunderstanding that a violence-based, coercive system, imposed against the will of many people will somehow lead us to non-violence and thriving. It seems the worn out, ineffective and dangerous right/left squabbling is what would be better termed “reactionary.”

Libertarian? - Not being a fan of political parties, I am not a Libertarian. My core commitment is to the freedom of every individual as the primary human ethic, and to not selling anyone out for the so-called “good of the group” (nice as it sounds at first blush), which is always the initial justification for tyranny. I ask you, Whose rights are you willing to violate for a majority vote?

Anti–government? - Government is the single most destructive force in human history, providing the means, motive and opportunity for killing over 200 million people in the 20^th century alone, the majority of which was within the State’s own territory against “their own people.” Yes I have a big problem with Mandatory Government, where a few have rights that other individuals don’t have and are backed up by a monopoly on money and force. That is what has led humanity to the brink of self-destruction. Again the key distinction for me is voluntary. People should be free to form any kind of voluntary associations they choose — as long as it does not violate the rights of others. I am all for rules and regulations — if they are based on the protection of individual rights and the commons. I am against rulers in any involuntary form imposing their will on others.

Radical? - Ms. Kelly refers to THRIVE as radical. If she means radical like “violent,” it is exactly the opposite. If she means radical like “extreme,” I would argue that protecting everyone’s rights is fundamental, not extreme. In the sense that radical means getting to the root of the problem, I will accept that as an unintended compliment.

I respect Georgia Kelly’s standing up for what she believes and I hope that she is also open to glimpsing something new that could finally lead to a world where ALL people can be truly free to thrive.

Foster Gamble's Response to THRIVE Critiques

Over one million people have watched THRIVE since its launch on 11/11/11!

And, as expected, our film has created some lively and deep conversations. While there have been many reviews, I wanted to address one particular article that was authored by Charles Eisenstein, as I have written a detailed response to some of things he states in his commentary (which you can see by clicking here).

I chose Charles’ piece to respond to at this level as it covers a myriad of issues that lead to pivotal conversations that can help shape the direction we are going.

Foster Gamble’s Response to Charles Eisenstein’s Critique of THRIVE:

Charles Eisenstein, the author of Sacred Economics, has written an article (Synchronicity, Myth and the New World Order) and a critique of THRIVE: What on Earth Will It Take?, that has engendered much discussion. I welcome this opportunity to have a broad and public conversation to look more deeply into some very important issues that he and THRIVE raise.

I took the time to read Charles’ book in depth, and though I disagree with much of what Charles proposes, I think his work has important offerings. My intention is that this on-going conversation further our mutual quest for core ethics, truth and effectiveness in transitioning to a world where all can thrive.

Correcting Some Inaccuracies

Before diving into the philosophical and strategic discussion, I want to clear up some initial inaccuracies in the review of THRIVE. The title of the review (“THRIVE: The Story is Wrong but the Spirit is Right”) immediately casts our discussion into the polarization of right and wrong. I recommend some different distinctions going forward: 1) more or less USEFUL, and 2) ETHICAL or NON-ETHICAL.

Charles’ assumption that I was invoking (p.3) and trying to wage a “war against EVIL” (p. 1) is contrary to the tone and claims in THRIVE. I do not believe there is some separate force in the Universe called EVIL. Perhaps he confused this with his own observation in his conspiracy article, “Evil and its expression as The New World Order...has like all other things its place in the world.” (P. 15) I do observe that some people, in certain mental/emotional conditions and self-justified by certain worldviews and institutions, do intentionally mean and destructive (“sinister”) things to others. I am very interested in protecting life by neutralizing the aggression of those individuals and transforming the systems and obsoleting the agendas of which they are a part.

Next, I want to be clear that THRIVE is not advocating or counting on some sort of “Technological Utopianism.”

Charles claims:

“...the film’s contention that the main reason for the misery of the Third World masses is lack of access to energy, and that unlimited clean energy would be a near-panacea for humanity’s problems and would usher in an era of abundance. The story here – call it “technological utopianism” – is that technology is going to rescue us, create a new and better world, and solve our problems.”

I believe that having cheap, clean and safe access to energy all over the planet would be a huge boost economically, ecologically and would provide useful evidence for a new paradigm of universal abundance. It supplements, but does not replace shifts in consciousness as well as financial and other systems. Access to energy and means for healthy commerce (i.e. an honest money system) are currently bottlenecks through which people can be impoverished and forced to put all their attention on subsistence instead of thriving. Thrivemovement.com goes into the myriad issues that accompany the liberated global access to energy and economic solvency. We emphasize the core transformation of energy and commerce systems because without that other changes are insufficient.

Though Charles writes in his book that “free energy technologies have been in existence for at least a century,” (SE, p.443), in his THRIVE review he contradicts himself by taking a swipe at our credibility in saying, “I won’t consider here the scientific plausibility of such technology, which appears to violate the Second Law of Thermodynamics.”

Let me clarify that first, a toroidal technology, like an atom, a human or a galaxy is an open system and the 2^nd Law applies to closed systems. It’s not the motion of the machine which is perpetual, (all matter wears down) it’s the source of energy! Second, what is the explanation for the fact that these inventors are getting raided, shut down, threatened and sometimes killed if they are actually all charlatans? It’s documented that the US Government has denied and confiscated over 3000 patent applications for alternative energy devices. Doesn’t it make sense that they might actually know something about how and which devices actually work?

In his book, Charles goes so far as to excuse J.P. Morgan’s suppression of Nikola Tesla’s radiant energy tower by writing “Perhaps Morgan was even on some level cognizant that humanity was not ready for Tesla’s gift.” (Sacred Economics, p. 443).

Wow. I wonder how all the people suffering from lack of energy and all the species rendered extinct in the course of dirty energy proliferation feel about that.

Eisenstein refers to THRIVE having attracted a “cult following.” This strange and inaccurate term, of course, has been seized upon and often repeated by government trolls and would-be debunkers to try to undermine the credibility of the thrive movement. More accurately, the movie has been seen by over a million people all over the world in its first month with over 95% rave approval and appreciation for providing coherent, fact-based information and grounded solution strategies. I request that intelligent critical thinkers who appreciate THRIVE not be dismissed as cult followers. There is no cult here and the people finding value in this critical information deserve more respect.

Charles has obviously done a lot of research for his book. I especially appreciate his detailed look into the history of money, alternative currencies, localization and his efforts to come up with some out-of-the-box thinking about what approaches might restore healthy lives and ecologies. It’s well worth the $16 he charges for it on Amazon – especially for its value in triggering critical thinking and exploratory interchanges just like this one.

My two biggest concerns about the Eisenstein perspective are that:

a) It can serve to lull people back to sleep and provide the temporary comfort of denial, while distracting from what is really going on...and

b) Many of its proposals, though sounding good at first blush, are ultimately based on government intervention backed by threats of violence - rather than the true protection of the rights of each individual.

Conspiracy

Although Eisenstein acknowledges on page 13 of his book that a totalitarian one world government seems to be approaching, he then goes on (pages 3,5,8,9,14,91) to undermine others from taking it any more seriously than to work on our egos and remember our oneness. An example:

“What if our emotions and beliefs actually attract experiential data that fits them...so that it looks like a conspiracy even if there are no conspirators?” (NWO, p.8)

No conspirators? People conspiring to accomplish certain goals is undeniable- the question is at what scale and to what end. I am personally encouraged to know that what we experience as systems-wide failure is not random or just the cruelty and incompetence of all of humanity, but instead the consequence of our unwitting participation in an agenda that we have the power to obsolete through non-violent non-participation.

Belief in conspiracy theories is a ...victim state. (NWO, p.5)

If we ignore the agenda for domination, we will end up experiencing a whole new level of meaning to the term “victim state.”

In one of his most unlikely conclusions, Charles states:

“A nefarious power, inimical to human well-being, manipulates the course of human events from behind the scenes, seeking the total control of every human being. Rather than an evil Illuminati, could that power be money? Could it be that it is rather the money system that controls the global elite?”

This is like saying the gun was guilty of the murder. Are the banking elite unaware of the unfair advantage the money scam gives them? They have the power to remedy it if it is not their intention. Our corrupt money system did not create itself, nor will it get rid of itself without dedicated effort.

Charles writes that...”conspiracy theories eventually bring most people to a kind of despair, even paralysis...” (NWO, p.14)

Gratefully, this is not the reaction we are getting to THRIVE. Viewers report that the tone, the coherence, the honoring of nature and the human spirit, and especially the in-depth solutions, provide a sense of motivation, traction and viable things to do with the energy that arises. Many people feel validated in their perception and more hopeful than ever now that we have thrivemovement.com through which to share vital information within a context of hope and activism.

He says: “The conspirators are not others, they are we, you and I and everyone...”

This is an example of where I think it is vital to remember our unification, while simultaneously recognizing our individual distinction. Why do we take care to avoid a dangerous street if we are walking alone at night? Some people are desperate and will harm others. That is true on small and large scales and pretending otherwise is dangerous.

Solutions

When I search for viable solutions being suggested by Eisenstein’s “sacred” approach, unfortunately a great number of them seem to play directly into the hands of the agenda for global control and undermine the individual’s rights and ability to take action.

Non-Action

Charles writes that:

“The dark energies have nearly run their course... Though some might try to hold onto it a little longer, sooner or later they will accept that their time is over, and they will bow out of service...” (NWO, p.15)

What is the evidence for this? I do not see any indication that they are going to go away on their own. In my experience, it always comes down to individuals waking up, speaking up and taking action if we are going to expose and transcend tyranny.

Choose a Belief that Feels Good

“I suggest we choose a belief, and the corresponding psychological state accompanying it...consider how each belief-state feels, what it implies about the world, about human

beings, and about oneself.” (NWO, p. 12)

How about logic and observation? How about going through the uncomfortable feelings that may come up around facts we wish weren’t true? Shall we pretend no one is starving because it doesn’t feel good to acknowledge it? I believe we can be empowered by feeling the discomfort - as anyone who has successfully navigated grief or rage can attest to. On the other side we feel the strength of knowing we are not victims and that we have the right to control our own lives, as long as we do no harm to others.

No Principles

“I, however, don’t live by principles, nor do I recommend it.”(NWO, p. 398)

I believe that in order for people to live without rulers dominating their actions, we need clear rules instead - based on the core principle of non-violation - that no one has the right to violate another person or their property except in true self-defense.

Just for the record, there are numerous principles Eisenstein recommends. Some of them follow.

“To charge a fee for service, or even for material good, violates the spirit of the Gift.” (SE, p. 401)

Impracticality

“The key to right livelihood is to live off gifts.” (SE, p. 397)

“Musicians, artists, prostitutes, healers, counselors, and teachers all offer gifts that are debased when we assign them a price...the only honorable way to offer it is as a gift.” (SE – 412)

Theft

“Most corporations and business owners are not ready to step into a gift-based business mode. That’s OK – you can give then a little push! Simply implement it unilaterally by “stealing” their products, for example by illegally downloading or copying digital content like songs, movies, software, and so on.” (SE, p. 411)

To imagine that people’s lives are going to be restored by others stealing from them is dangerously incomplete and self-serving in its logic. If you want to gift your goods then gift them. But to impose your choice not to on the creator of them is violation, and exactly what gives you the right to impose that violation?

Though Charles has written, “When we convert ‘have to’ into ‘want to’ we are free,” (SE, p. 358), many of his proposals seem to be ultimately based on force.

The state could determine by fiat who gets credit...” (SE, p. 456)

And we have confidence in this why? Every State in history has grown to violate its people. I believe people have the right to determine their own systems of exchange and that those that serve the real needs will prevail without State imposition or subsidy.

Fractional Reserve

Charles states: In a fractional reserve system, one way to view what happens is that banks are not creating new money at all, but simply allowing existing money to be in two places at once. (SE, p. 454)

This notion has reached its ludicrous exposure in so-called “naked short sales” where up to 300 people have been documented to be claiming to own the same shares of stock. It has been used by investment banks to manipulate markets to the disastrous destruction of many individual’s financial well-being.

He then says: “Is the money in your savings account “really there” or not? That is the question that bothers “real money” advocates, but ultimately it is not a useful question.” (SE, p.455)

”In a credit system, most of the credit should go to those who will put it to good use.”

(Who decides what “good” is? To prevent abortion? To support it?)

He goes on to say, “The “social function” I describe doesn’t dictate to whom it goes; it merely sets the conditions so that it will be most likely to go to a certain area that represents the social consensus of good use. This function can be adjusted.”(SE, p.456)

By whom? – The enlightened? Property is based fundamentally on our right to own ourselves, our bodies...and then the fruits of our labor. As soon as you eliminate property and give authority to a state, much less control over a fiat credit system, you have all the key historical ingredients for tyranny. I assert that the fundamental unit of wholeness at the human level is each individual, not the “social consensus.” It is of grave concern to me that Charles writes that the Marxist solution “does not reach deeply enough.” (SE, p. 185) If there is no valid property, do you endorse violating a person’s body? How about their home, their bank account, their income? Where exactly would you draw the line? What rights do you think an individual should be free to defend?

“We are using money to destroy money...

The time for the mindset of wealth preservation is over. Wealth preservation brings to mind a swarm of rats, each clamoring over the others to reach the top of the mast of a ship that is sinking.”

The desire to “kill” money, I believe, is better channeled into having an honest money system with no lending of money one doesn’t have, no printing of money that doesn’t correspond to value. It is about sound, honest and accurate money (medium of exchange) rather than, in effect, raiding someone’s investments, grain silo, or rainy day savings to re-distribute it against their will. This coercive approach is, I believe, based on the very notions of scarcity and fear that Charles is trying to overcome and ignores the creative capacity of humans to innovate how to do more with less (lighter building materials, more capable shrinking computers, zero-point energy devices, robotics, virtual communication, electric cars...) In agrarian societies of old, women managed banks based on honest interest repayable with the fruits of the harvest – fruits, grains, and offspring – tapping the creativity of nature. The Sumerian word for interest meant “calf.” (Web of Debt, Ellen Brown, p. 58)

Preservation of Existing Financial Structure

Charles says: “Perhaps most importantly, a credit-based system can accommodate all of the proposals of this book without the revolutionary destruction of the existing financial infrastructure and rebuilding of a new one.” (SE p. 457)

I suggest the key word is voluntary. It is not what kind of monetary system is the best for some to impose, but how do we preserve the freedom to have people be able to try different currencies, different kind of banks, different kinds of insurance and dispute resolution organizations so that the ones that are most trustworthy rise to the surface, and without state subsidies or bailouts, the less sound ones disappear. Is a “sacred economy” one where a few individuals who consider themselves wiser than the rest centralize control and try to manage markets, prices and money supplies, or is it the on-going flow of free individuals exchanging by reciprocal and mutual agreement?

Non-Aggression Principle

On page 78 of Sacred Economics is a dangerously misunderstood interpretation of liberty. It implies that the liberty perspective is somehow “dependent on impersonal and coercive institutions that govern from afar.” My research leads to exactly the opposite conclusion. I recommend to Eisenstein that he read more carefully the one person in his bibliography, Hans Hoppe, who does not write in favor of state controlled economics, and also to explore Stefan Molyneux, who will show countless viable alternatives to government that foster just and thriving community.

Charles has written, “Ultimately, I envision decentralized, self-organizing, emergent, peer-to-peer, ecologically integrated expressions of political will.” (SE, p. 187)

Here is an ethical level on which I believe we can all meet. I look forward to potential future collaboration in such an endeavor.

Conclusion

Consciousness growth is not a substitute for activism. I think that for us to be free and thrive, they need to be able to proceed hand in hand. I agree that to focus on the meta-psychology is of great value. There is no reason for that to impede or distract those who are waking up and standing up to take highly-leveraged, non-violent action.

Dear Thrivers,

Welcome to the inaugural message of Thrive Pulse – my personal blog.

First I want to say that I am deeply gratified by the wonderful global response to THRIVE. I was both excited and anxious about releasing our labor of love into the world. I send vast gratitude for your open minds and hearts and for valuing our work enough to share it with your trusted friends.

In just the first week, you have self-created over 1700 screenings, mostly in the US and Europe. Over two hundred thousand people have seen THRIVE and over half a million have viewed the trailer – with a “99%” like ratio.

My intention is to have these blog communications be succinct solutions-oriented explorations. I want to learn from the inspiring things you are doing and I will do my best to share my perspective on what is really going on in the world and to respond productively to your questions. This will not be the location for venting haters, government trolls or niggling over my relationship to Procter and Gamble or our charging to rent and buy the movie.

The most frequently asked questions for me so far are...

1 - Why did you risk undermining your credibility by putting UFOs in your movie?

2 - If one of the solutions is Free Energy, why didn’t you just put the formulas and diagrams in the movie or on the website?

3 - How can I help get Free Energy released to the world?

For this blog, I want to tie these all together.

First, we did not hold back on anything that we thought was a critical piece of the story, even though almost everyone had some segment they thought was “too far out” for the documentary. It was the coherence that comes from connecting of the dots that we felt was missing and that our research could provide.

Second, as Adam Trombly says in the film, “The suppression of UFOs goes hand in hand with the suppression of Free Energy. ” If we are being visited by beings from other solar systems or vibrational planes, they would not be burning fossil fuel to get here or traveling in normal space/time as we know it. Their visitation provides the proof of concept that would in itself undermine the oil economy. It is also a paradigm shift to imagine the implications of an abundant universe, where energy to propel beings through the cosmos could be tapped to provide equal access to clean safe energy for everyone and which therefore obsoletes the control of energy that currently dictates our deadly global power dynamic. The government has confiscated numerous working “new energy” devices. Over 5000 patent applications have been tied up as well. It is highly probable that many of the UFOs that are reported or even photographed belong to the military industrial complex, dominated by the banking elite.

I have had the honor to visit some labs and to see working devices, but they have virtually all been seized. I describe in general terms the variety of ways I think they work on this website. We also link to other people’s work, including diagrams, on the Resource Tree. I had the assistance of a physicist and an engineer to help me understand the inner workings of free energy devices, but I am not myself an inventor.

To help get this technology out, I suggest you sign up on the Critical Mass Action page in the New Energy section. In my opinion, it is going to take a considerable amount of money to assure the Development, Marketing, Security and Legal Defense aspects of bringing these technologies out. I believe that working together with funders, inventors, lawyers and an informed public en masse, we can do it. I will be keeping you posted on new developments in this field.

Numerous viewers have expressed their enthusiasm about sharing the film with their families. We have heard inspiring stories about healing conversations between liberals and conservatives, Republicans and Democrats as they find transpartisan common cause in understanding the higher level agenda affecting us all. They report reconciling on the basis of human rights and integrity, transcending the charade of partisan politics that has so obviously failed us.
