I´m so happy the 5D is weather-sealed. It was completely wet all the time, I had to wipe the snow and water from the LCD to check my histogram.

90 percent of my images are shoot with my 24-70/2.8, and so were these. Due to the low light ISO were set at 2500 & 3200, f/2.8 @1/25-1/100sek

A couple of months ago me and Mary spotted a pair of dress shoes in a rather fancy men´s shop (Gregers). I rarely shop there, but I had to give them a try, loved the look but couldn´t afford them. That´s life.

So I couldn´t let these goodies go. I´ve past up on similiar deals in the past and always regreted it later. Kinda learned my lesson here. Google is great when is comes to scouting clothes, gadgets and so on. Especially if you already know the serial-number. After some digging around I managed to find the serial-number for the shoes and just typed them into the search-bar. Easy.

I have done business like this a couple of times before. Hunting down stuff I really like on small webshops all over Europe. When it comes to shoes in particular, Belgium and the Netherlands seems to have much better offers then Sweden. This was true this time as well. I found a couple of dutch shops that were carrying my requested model. All of them didn´t offer shipping to Sweden though, and for those who did the prices were at both ends of the scale… One of the shops had a great deal though, and would be happy to ship to the very north of Sweden. Awesome. They arrived in one week. Very smooth transfer. Cool.

To the goods. Shoes are like rims and jewelry. An awesome, beautiful Aston Martin, or Bentley or for that sake a Audi or BMW doesn´t look by far as good as it possibly can with some dull, dirty and damaged 16″ wheels. Dress it up in some well-match 19″ or 20″ and the car will come a lot closer to the designers original intent. Well match wheels are a great way to ”dress-up” almost any car, and the opposite goes for a bad mismatch.
A beautiful lady in a beautiful dress deserves equally beautiful jewelry, right. They complement each other and create the perfect whole.

These are no Rolls-Royce (read Gaziano & Girling, Edward Green or John Lobb) but they have a similar style to G&G are are well made (but doesn´t cost + 500 euro). The burnished cognac color is easy to match to both a suit and jeans. Since these are what you would call Derby´s they can be worn to less dressed up clothes. Perfect for those of us that rarely wear a suit.

I left my tripod in the car, so these are shoot handheld on iso 4000.

Det är verkligen svårt att fota interiörer den här tiden på året. Nästan inget ljus. Mörka färger. Mycket rött.
Skönt att kunna vrida upp iso-talet! Bilden utanför huset är tagen på iso 5000 och alla interiörer på 3200. Bländaren är på f 2.8 hela tiden.
