Douro river and the Oporto wine homeland..

2014-09-21T14:35:00.000-07:00

UNESCO cultural patrimony

Douro high vineyards

Classified on category of cultural landscape, situated on nordeast of
Portugal, this region is well known for his famous Oporto wine, and the Douro river,so important from the begining of this commerce. The transport was made on the Rabelo boats,on this days on expo on the turistic Porto river, near D.Luis bridge.
Galafura place,Covelinhas and Regua eletric river facilities, are the places where this reportage was made.
From Oporto you take two hours to Galafura, from A4 to Bragança,and leave at Vila Real, direction Viseu on A24 then way out 13 to Galafura, ten minutes .When arrived to S.Leonardo place you have a huge view from the river and vineyards. Then you can comeback or
going douwn to Covelinhas, litle village near the river. Is a dangerous road but,you are in the heart of the vineyards, you can stop and taste the grappes.Arriving Covelinhas you follow the river until the electric Peso da Regua facilities where you can see how boats cross .From Peso da Régua you have the option to return to Vila Real and made the same way back,or continue
to follow the river to Porto and have more beautiful landscapes.

Oporto brave young people jump from bridge to river!

2014-07-23T14:22:00.001-07:00

The challenge from young generation.

Porto brave young people jump from the bridge!

Evry summer time from D Luiz I brigde, young people jump to the river,
In a a several decades tradition for all resident people from the two borders of
the Douro river. They all belong to fisherman and ancient dockers families.
They live on the historic old houses for generations. This challenge its became
a social issue, because after the first jump, kids get from the others(include adults) respect.
Even if they are so litle as twelve years old!
Its a dangerous jump, because sometimes the river take them away so fast that is
Impressionant, but they know and jump nears the border ; also have some
family members with a litle boat to help them if the are in danger.Them also
old jumpers, but connected for all life to ther river.
In the sequence of shots is a young girl with no more than twelve years old,
and i was on the place where they jump, must have a hell of courage!

Thanks for your visit and simpaty!

Lets take a walk on Provence(France) fields and rural places..

2014-06-22T08:09:00.000-07:00

Its summer time ,and the motorway A8 from Aix -en- Provence to Nice is full of turists who are driving direction to the mediterranean coast (Cannes,Nice,Menton,Monaco,Toulon,Antibes,St Tropez ).
Its weekend and i stay in the first station service from this motorway, name Aire the Rousset.
Its almost impossible with the hot weather to walk around,so i leave the place on the morning and
in the afternoon. The low light increase the colors and made this places so magic, the farms and the agricultural places made the rest, with the mountain as background.Sometimes when we travel on
motorways without kouwing we are so near of fabulous places, and need so mutch as an hour to
take wonderful shots.I hope you like his images and if you are around ,why not stop and take a look !

FROM ITALY WITH LOVE.

2014-05-05T01:29:00.001-07:00

BOM DIA

gostem e partilhem.

Muito obrigado

of mountains ,even the natural dificult issue, they fixed along

years and generations, and build auntentic art views. From the

north to the south landscape is getting diferent, like the tones

and light. From mountains and sea of Liguria,to the rural landscape

from Marche,to the mountains from Abruzzo. As limitate by time

this are the best pictures i can.So hope you like and share.

2013-10-19T09:27:00.001-07:00

André Indiana
A great portuguese music talent in a concert at the Hard Club in Porto.

A visit to Prato in Tuscany

2013-07-19T15:06:00.001-07:00

PRATO
TUSCANY
ITALY

This week i arrive at Prato to stay the night after a drive time from more than nine hours .I think even i was tired, was a good idea to visit this old and historic town from Tuscany. At some twenty miles from Florence, maybe is not so mutch visited as the famous neighbour, but what i see is a lovely place with lots of history and monuments.
Must walk almost four miles and start at seven pm as the light was not mutch.Walking side the Bisenzio river ,cross it and arrive to Porta Mercatale, who brings to piazza Mercatale where starts to see the old houses with pastel tones. The piazza Duomo and the statues,is catedral, the litle streets, the castel of the Imperatore, piazza s.Marco with a amazing sculture who represents the union of men and women, the imponent and magic stazione centrale. As the light goes a last picture from the Bisenzio river with the mountains as background.

Sei a espera. Sei a espera. Sinto a sua aspereza percorrer-me o corpo, ferindo-me e gozando do meu lamento. Sei a espera. Espero. Porque não sei mais nada.

PALAVRAS SOLTAS

Esperei que o tempo curasse;
Que a ferida fechasse,
A dor apagasse
E a vida seguisse.
Esperei;
Sentei-me impávida,
No banco dos derrotados,
Perto de uma estrada sem rumo,
Onde fiquei abandonada.
A solidão não nos dá asas;
Não nos arranca o passado da pele.
O tempo não varre memórias,
A tempestade continua
E eu não me quero abrigar.
Tento não pensar
Esforço-me por não querer.
Sou só vontades, sonhos desfeitos,
Num sopro esquecido pelo vento.
Quando me devo levantar?
Acho que já nem sei caminhar,
Enfrentar o horizonte,

Fotos e palavras

Sabe-me a sal a saudade da tua pele,
Cheira-me a felicidade o odor da tua alma.
