Goals are actually representations of your visions about you and your future. Goals should be achievable and realistic. Your goals allow you to take action and monitor your progress.

What exactly do you need to However, more is involved in just merely setting realistic goals. Remember that in order to achieve your goals, you must take action.

Here are some tips set your goals:

1.	Strategize. Strategic thinking is very important because this will allow you to be productive and focus on the activities according to your goals. You simply need to have a plan.

2. Mindset. Proper mind setting is very important in achieving your goals. Take the extra mile. Learning new things and facing challenges that will help you succeed.

Setting goals means that you are acknowledging your limitations and you are ready to work your way up towards success, professionally or personally. Moving forward, you also have to consider that there are goals that are just too hard to achieve on your own. Take heart. Get help. Find a friend or buddy that is working toward the same kind of goal.

Focus, focus, and focus, minimize distractions so you can work your goals. Create a support environment, clear your mind, visualize succeeding often. Keep a clear vision of you achieving those valuable goals.

Once your goals are achieved, sweet success knocks on your door commending you for a job well done.

Just like set menus from restaurants where different kinds of foods are served – from appetizers, to main dishes, to desserts – life also has its menu for an upbeat life.

Different people have their own individual menu that makes them cheerful and optimistic. If you take the time to find out what they are, they may help to keep your life meaningful, enjoyable, inspiring, and passionate!

Some thoughts on areas/actions you can do to enrich your life:

Help Others: helping in services, monetary value, or just lending an understanding ear can bring returns are ten fold. Giving something wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return is divine. Imagine yourself as the person on the receiving end. You can’t wait to return the favor once you get the opportunity to do so.

Play some great Music. Play your good old favorite songs and sing along. Sing your best. Sing carelessly or out of tune – whatever it takes to make your heart contented and whatever makes you laugh. Just hum the tune if you don’t remember the words. Sing until you laugh heartily.

Get out into Nature: The sound of river flowing, the gust of wind on a tree branch, waves on the seashore, and birds chirping are as natural as nature can be, and the way music should be. The sound of nature can make you optimistic because it is a beautiful and serene sound.

A party without humor and laughter is a dull one. The same is true in real life. Fill your life with lots of humor and laughter to keep it upbeat. The more spontaneous a humorous situation is, the more natural it is, and the better it can liven up your spirits.

You don’t need to fall into the stress mode of life. You can use breath to relax, rather than stress, your mind and body. Yoga helps you to relearn that natural state that your body and mind want to be in: relaxation.

Deep breathing is both calming and energizing. The energy you feel from a few minutes of careful breathe is not nervous or hyper, but that calm, steady energy we all need. Slow, steady, and quiet breathing gives a message to your nervous system: Be calm.

Whole books have been written on yoga breathing. Here is one 5-minute Breath Break. (Read through the instructions several times before you try the practice.)

1. Sit with your spine as straight as possible. Use a chair if necessary but don’t slump into it. Feet flat on the floor with knees directly over the center of your feet. Use a book or cushion under your feet if they do not rest comfortably on the floor. Hands are on the tops of your legs.

2. Close your eyes gently and let them rest behind closed lids.

3. Think about your ribs, at the front, back, and at the sides of your body. Your lungs are behind those ribs.

4. Feel your lungs filling up, your ribs expanding out and up. Feel your lungs emptying, your ribs coming back down and in. Don’t push the breath.

5. The first few times you do this, do it for 2 to 3 minutes, then do it for up to 5 to 10 minutes. At first, set aside a time at least once a day to do this. When you learn how good it makes you feel, you’ll want to do it at other times as well.

Just as one stressful situation goes into your next challenge, relaxing for a few minutes every day gradually carries over into the rest of your daily life and activities.

The goal is to reduce headaches, eliminate the need for complicated tracking schemes, and reduce the time you spend on your budget and finances to about 15-20 minutes per week.

Create a simple spreadsheet for your budget, if you haven’t already, and start by listing your income and your monthly expenses. Estimate, in round numbers, how much you spend on each expense every month. You can adjust later, but it’s better to err on the side of too high a number, rather than putting a low number and breaking your budget.

60 Percent Solution. There are many ways to structure your budget, but the simplest I’ve found is the 60% solution. Basically, this budget asks you to fit your regular monthly expenses within 60% of your gross income, so that you have room for savings (long-term and short-term), retirement and spending money (”fun money”). These are the things that most often break a budget, because most people don’t budget for them. Now, your percentage will vary, but the percentages given here are just rough guidelines:

60 percent: Monthly expenses — such as housing, food, utilities, insurance, Internet, transportation. This is the part most commonly thought of as a budget.

10 percent: Retirement — and if you’re doing it right, this is being automatically deducted from your paycheck for a 401(k) investment.

10 percent: Long-term savings or debt reduction. It’s best to invest this in something such as stocks or an index fund, and this can serve as your emergency fund. But if you are in debt (not including a home mortgage), I would advise that you use this portion of the budget to pay off your debts, and even draw some from the other categories such as retirement to increase this to about 20 percent for now. Once your debts are paid off, you can switch this to long-term savings. You still need to have an emergency fund, but while you’re in debt-reduction mode you can either create a small, temporary emergency fund out of the money from this category or the next.

10 percent: Short-term savings — this is for periodic expenses, such as auto maintenance or repairs, medical expenses (not including insurance premiums), appliances, home maintenance, birthday and Christmas gifts. For this savings account, be sure to spend the money when you need it — that’s what it’s for. When these expenses come up, you will have the money for them, instead of trying to pull them from other budget categories.

10 percent: Fun money — you can spend this on eating out, movies, comic books — whatever you want. Guilt free.

All of us have days when we’re out of sorts. You just wish you were in a better mood. You’ve had days like that, haven’t you? Perhaps you tried to get yourself into a better state of mind but struggled to achieve it.

1. Go for a walk.

Most people know that going for a short daily walk is one of the best forms of exercise. When you are feeling down it is even more beneficial. If you can, go into a natural environment with plants and birds. Can you think of such a setting not? What do you notice first? The different shades of greenery, the fresh smell of country air, the sounds of birds, or the sunlight shining through the trees? Make it real by taking a short stroll.

2. Listen to quality music.

Music can shift a listener’s state within moments. It’s effect can be nearly magical. Dig out that CD you haven’t listened to in ages or tune in your radio to something you’ve never listened to before.

3. Open yourself to discovering something new.

Read something (printed, not on line) different than what you would normally watch. There are a ton of different types of magazines can you get these days. Visit your local library or browse through a magazine rack. Pick up or buy a magazine you wouldn’t normally buy. You may discover something wonderful.

4. Find something to laugh at.

Laughter is one of the best ways to lift your spirits. Find a humorous book, or watch a comedy. Even better, try to learn a few new jokes and tell them to others.

5. Simple breathing meditation.

Breathing meditation is a great exercise that you can do anywhere. Simply allow yourself to sit comfortably with your back straight. Now close your eyes and become aware of the flow of air into and out of your nostrils. That’s all there is to it. Do this for 10-15 minutes. Notice how pleasantly surprised you can be at how you feel afterward.

6. Doodling for the fun of it.

Most people can remember when they were young and used to doodle for hours. Kids love drawing silly little pictures. Drawing is not just for kids or artists. Whoever you are get some pens, pencils, crayons or whatever you have and just draw for the fun of it. Notice how your state of mind shifts.

7. Think of others less fortunate.

The fact that you are reading this article suggests that you are probably much better off than most people on this planet. At times this may be hard to believe, but if you can read and have access to the internet, just those two things alone means you are better off than most people in the world. There are many human beings that barely have access to the basics of survival. There are people in lots of pain. Allow your compassion for them to grow.

These are all pretty simple. There’s nothing profound or life changing, but when all you need is a quick pick me up these may be just the thing you need. Putting simple ideas, methods, tools and techniques into action will help you achieve change more quick and easily–surprisingly so at time– than you imagine.

It has been a while since I have dug into the Universal Laws… this one struck me lately!

The Law of Abundance to me is mind goggling.

To contemplate the sheer volume that earth is capable of giving us… it is overwhelming to me.

Can you image just for a moment a meadow with tall green grass waving in the wind.

In the middle of the meadow stands one lone apple tree.

You lovingly water and care for the apple tree and it produces the most abundant crop of apples… hundreds of apples.

You take just six apples and plant all the seeds and lovingly care for all the seedlings

Now you have 3 dozen trees… 36 trees! Can you image how many apples can be produced from those trees?

If you continue planting new trees every year and caring for them, the meadow turns into an orchard. Apple pie for everyone!

Now imagine, source, god, the universe (pick the name you prefer), doing this all the time, every day of every year for us!

And if we were to focus our thoughts solely on the amazing wonderful abundance that is already available to us, can you imagine how we could multiple our abundance 10 fold.

I know that sometimes it is hard, when we are feeling down and when things just don’t seem to be going our way to turn our thoughts to abundance

But even the smalls thoughts, start with waking up this morning and having the choice to do something amazing with your life!

The first ebook has just officially launched last weekend with a great offline launch party.

To my Sisters with Love

The story begins with a letter Jill receives, not addressed to her, but to one sister searching for another across time. Prompted by the contents to heal her own life she also discovers the secret to how to defeat the “powers that be” both those who are trying to destroy our world around us and what is trying to destroy us from within disguised as abuse, anxiety, depression, addiction, illness and more.

Working against the 2012 timeline, Jill takes to the road. The adventure doesn’t stop, the next set of instructions and solutions can be found in The Lost Journals. The story is fiction, but the solutions are not. It’s not just another “you go girl” message, this one has lots of adventure and mystery as it combines a fictional story with very real solutions of hope for our selves and our world! Just because life can be serious doesn’t mean it can’t be fun!

You can also find my latest digital workbook on how to “Discover Your Life Purpose” being featured on the website: jillelizabeth.net It’s being integrated into an ongoing storyline that is all about empowering women in our world today.

But once you have set your mind to do these, you will soon realize that nothing is really simple and easy when it comes to this. There are so many things to think about and issues to be settled before it finally becomes clear what you really want to achieve.

Take One Step at a Time

To make sure that you will get to your goal no matter how long it takes, you should take the necessary steps to get there. The first thing that you have to fully understand is where you are going to. You have to define that goal. What do you really want to achieve? At this point, you must answer truthfully. You cannot aim to be a gold medalist in swimming when you don’t even know how to swim.

To help you in setting your goals, it will be best if you fully understand your strengths and weaknesses. You should comprehend all your limitations. You must not be too hard on yourself by wanting something that you don’t have the capacity to attain.

After you have defined your goals, it will be easier to plan how you are going to get there. But before you get serious with that, you have to analyze your current situation. Are you happy with where you are at? Because if you are, maybe you should rethink why would you still want to go on a different path?

On the other hand, if you feel like you are stuck on your current job and the circumstances where you are at, then you no longer have to think about what you should do. This is a very good sign that you have to move on. You have to get out of your current situation before it gets too late. Sometimes, people become too comfortable being in the zone where they are not required to excel. That should not be the case. This only means that you are no longer allowing yourself to grow. And when that happens, you may lose track of the goals that you have set to achieve.

When you have reached the point that you have forgotten about what you really want to attain, you must check on your old self. Go back to the point when you were still not where you are right now. Who are you back then? What did you dream of becoming and achieving at that point in your life? What were the things that made you happy and made you feel inspired? After realizing what you have missed, you must then think about what went wrong and what happened which caused for you to take a different route, farther than where you really would want to be.

Expand Your Horizon

No matter how young or how old you are, you still have chances to correct your mistakes. You still can take action in finding your passion. You can always go back to the point when you have chosen to turn right when you were supposed to turn left. Go back at that point in your life. And this time, make sure that you will take the direction to the left with a more positive attitude that this is really where you want to be.

Some people take a lifetime in realizing what they really want to do and where they want to take their journey. It will be best if you will know the essentials in finding your passion while you are still young. This way, you will have lots of time to fulfill whatever you want to achieve and enjoy its effects and benefits as well.

It is not that easy to know what you really want to do for the rest of your life. There are people who end up pursuing a very unlikely route while giving in to what they really want to achieve whenever they have time for it. The reason for such varies. For some, they want to pursue their passion only after they have gone through several failures.

To help you in this regard, here are some tips that you can follow.

1. You should look at things around you. Determine what or who inspire you to achieve whatever goals that you have in mind. They can be your loved ones or a specific person that encourages you to be better. These can also be things. What are the objects that create some sparks and enhance you to move forward? Use these objects and people in order to find out for yourself what you really want to happen. You can list down the things and people or places that may come to your mind when you are thinking about this so that you will keep track of what really matters to you.

2. Think about happy thoughts. Reminisce about the times when you were most happy in your life. What brought about such happiness? What made you happy? And while you are at it, you should also think about when was the last time when you experienced such moment. If it has already been a long time, what do you think caused such state?

3. You have to go back to the things that ignited your passion in the past. Read your favorite book. This may be a great time to find console digging through self-help books. This is especially true if you cannot talk to anyone close to you regarding the matter in ways that you hope to be understood.

4. If you are stuck in a job that you detest and your only reason why you are doing that is for money, then you will have a harder time in getting to know where your real passion lies. You may want to look back at the point before you entered this job. What were you back then or what were you thinking to achieve at that point? If you have already saved enough, you may want to consider quitting your current job. This way, you can allot more time in pursuing the things that you really want before it is already too late.

5. You have to be open to whatever possibilities life may bring. You need to expect more than what you already have for you to acquire such and reach a level beyond your comfort zone. This can be done by being bold enough to take a risk at a time. It doesn’t matter how small or how big it is. Once you start following your heart and mind to reach to the point where you think you will be happy and satisfied, you are on the right track. And finding your passion will be easier in the long run.
