I received some sourdough starter from a dear friend and named my starter Stevie. Stevie Starter. For Stevie Nicks of course. My friend's starter is named Bread Pitt. After buying quite a few necessities I made my first sourdough loaf!! YUM! I started down this path because I have a gluten sensitivity and wanted to eat BREAD! NomNomNom

I miss my Grandma Nora Lorraine Carlson. She told me I was beautiful. She told me I was special. She told me that she loved me. Every Thanksgiving I get up early and spread butter and sugar on the 2 packages of lefse that we buy. Right before we eat I open a can of jellied cranberries and slice up the can shaped cranberries. I put them into a dish that is just like the one my Grandma Nora had. I play George Winston and let the tears fall in gratitude for a grandma that I will see again in heaven. I will grieve with hope. I love you grandma and I miss you.

Eldest son Josh left for his ministry opportunity with Casas por Christo!! (Homes for Christ) He made his way to El Paso, TX to build the video production crew as they watch servants from all over the world donate their time and talents to build homes for those that are homeless in Mexico. Thank you Lord for this opportunity!

Carla Nelson met Shelly Hieb on August 27th, 1980. The first day of 9th grade at Hughes Junior High. We were babies at 14 years old!!

Shelly and I celebrated our 45th Friendaversary on August 27th, 2025!! I flew out to Utah to spend several amazing days with my BFF!! Oh my goodness we DIED OF FUN AS WE ALWAYS DO!! Laughing, talking, reading old calendars, looking through old photo albums, walking down memory lane.
