Clashes also occurred with police near the prefecture of Haute-Vienne, with the throwing of projectiles, mortars, and tear gas grenades.

It shows that certain segments of the French population would consider leaving France if populist leader Marine Le Pen is elected president in the upcoming elections. A sickening case out of Belgium: A trial is in progress against three Pakistani men accused of gang-raping a university student at the University of Mons. According to the charges, the proprietor of a 24-hour food shop in Mons and two other men allegedly raped a university student after she stopped in to purchase cookies and a drink late at night. It is 06:34 when Laura regains consciousness. She is alone in the back room. Disoriented, she leaves the premises and encounters some trash collectors. They will later describe having seen a terrified young woman who was looking constantly over her shoulder.

Her clothes were disheveled. She was no longer wearing underpants.

Upon returning to her roommate. Laura tells of having suffered sexual violence in the back room. The two women go to the hospital for a medical examination at Mons, then at Charleroi. DNA of a man is discovered in her vagina.

The police quickly raided the business. Two men were present. The third was found hiding in a closet. The investigators also recovered Laura's panties left on the floor. Tests would reveal the presence of sperm belonging to one of the three suspects, discovered during a second search by the police.

The young woman has only partial memories of that night. Nonetheless, she has identified the three men who were arrested and placed in detention.

Monday morning, the three defendants appeared before the criminal court of Mons to answer charges of aggravated rape and false imprisonment.

One of them is already charged with an attempted rape of another client in July 2025. According to the charges, this woman, who simply wanted to buy a cigarette, was allegedly led to the back room. The defendant then allegedly tried to force a kiss on her with his tongue.

The prosecution does not believe them

At the hearing, the three men denied the charges.

The owner of the business told a completely different version. According to him, the young student reportedly tried to rob him of 7,000 euros that he had in his pockets. He did not explain the irrefutable scientific analyses.

Fortunately, the young woman can count on the support of her family and her mother.

Her attorney, Odile Maes, believes that the three defendants must be held accountable for what occurred in the store.

"That night, the three men knew very well what was happening in the back of the store. They all share responsibility," she argues.

The attorney also recalls the accusations brought by another client against one of the defendants. For her, the denials of the three men are not credible.

"They are sexual predators," Attorney Maes concludes.

The court will render its verdict at the beginning of November.

I have written a lot about Cornell University in recent years. In my opinion, the school has a lot of problems, mostly related to issues of left-wing activism and anti-Semitism. Currently, it is embroiled in what is arguably its biggest and most serious controversy, an accusation of a gang rape that allegedly occurred in a fraternity house back in 2024.

What seemingly everyone agrees on is that there was a party at a fraternity house in which many people were drunk and high on drugs. One young woman, identified as Jane Doe, either was raped or had consensual sex with as many as 7 young men. At this point, there are many different versions, and the details are very lurid. According to one version, the woman gave campus police a statement days after the event in which she stated that everything was consensual, at which point, the case was closed. She is now claiming rape.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed New York Attorney General Letitia James to head a new investigation. James, of course, is a controversial figure in her own right due to her legal pursuit of Donald Trump.

The Cornell Campus newspaper, the Cornell Daily Sun, is all over the story and has named the 7 men in question.

I am going to stop with the sordid details of the case here because I have no idea what the facts are. Let me just say this because I have very strong feelings on this subject. It goes without saying that this young woman has suffered terrible ridicule at Cornell since that night in 2024, and I sympathize with her.

At this point, it is crucial that the truth come out. If this woman was raped, then justice must be served, and whoever committed the act must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If she was intoxicated and made a very bad mistake by consenting, shame on the young men for taking advantage of an intoxicated woman, even if they themselves were intoxicated, but they should not be prosecuted for rape.

This, of course, even in the best-case scenario, is a bad reflection on Greek life on campus. This has been going on for many years in fraternity and sorority houses, and it is obvious they are poorly supervised. After I retired from the DEA in 1995, I taught a couple of drug courses at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia, and one required aspect of the course I had to cover was alcohol, which is also a drug. The reason was clear even though that school had no fraternity or sorority houses. Binge drinking was and is the biggest drug problem in our universities, and that directly leads to incidents like what happened at Cornell.

In closing, here is a teaching point that I hope Cornell learns and imparts to its students, and especially its young men. When you see a young woman who is intoxicated and in a vulnerable position like Jane Doe, it is your moral responsibility to get that woman to a safe place and not take advantage of her.

The city continued communicating the situation to the Moncloa and to (the ministries) of Interior, Defense, Territorial Policy, and Foreign. At 5 in the afternoon, it conveyed that more than 20,000 people may already have entered. According to the timeline provided by Ceuta, at this moment, there was no response by the Moncloa. Approximately one hour later, the Minister of Defense called Vivas to inform him of the decision to deploy the army.

"You would have to ask the government about that"

Vivas refrained from claiming the ability to determine what went wrong. Asked that question directly as he left the National Court, his response was: "You would have to ask the government about that. We tried repeatedly."

Pope Leo XIV is wrapping up his 4-day visit to France this week, and one of his central messages has been that the country, and Europe in general, must welcome the millions of migrants arriving in record numbers, whether legal or illegal. Like his predecessor, Pope Francis, Leo’s experience with migration has been mostly shaped by the Latin American experience, which is different in many ways from the situation in Europe. Sexual attacks are a recurring problem, and just this week, a 17-year-old Moroccan girl was raped and almost killed on Ceuta’s Trampolin Beach. Two Moroccan migrants, aged 42 and 21, are charged with the crime. While this was happening, Pope Leo was in France giving lectures to the French about welcoming migrants.

Also, while Leo was in France giving advice, a 93-year-old handicapped woman was murdered in her own home in Toulouse this week. When police responded to the house, alerted by neighbors, they found a 30-year-old male at the scene, nude and in a dazed state. During the arrest, a French police officer was injured in the scuffle. He also views with alarm the rise of conservative anti-migration political parties like France’s Rassemblement National, Spain’s Vox, Germany’s Alternatif fuer Deutschland, and others, blissfully unaware of why they are becoming so popular.

Somebody needs to explain to the Pontiff and to (Western) Europe’s political leaders that people are dying, and it has reached the breaking point. Nobody should have to die on the altar of political correctness and the Pope’s misguided idea of welcome.

He appointed a lawyer of his own choosing, who withdrew shortly after being informed of the closure of the investigation.

In court yesterday, the husband of the victim told how the daily life of his wife and their children has changed since 2024. "For almost a year, she could walk only with crutches. She has suffered so much."

The woman's sister added: "I was informed by telephone what had happened. My sister is a rock, but for her, nothing is like before. It is the same for us. These are things that leave a mark on you. There is no going back."

You will recall the House Subcommittee hearings on education a couple of years back when Magill and other university presidents were testifying before Congress, and none of them, including Magill, were able to articulate that calls for the genocide of Jews constituted a violation of their university's code of conduct. It all depended on the context, they said. Amid the firestorm that followed, Magill resigned from UPenn in December 2023.

Its most famous official is Jonathan Brown, a Muslim convert who has a long string of controversial statements on his resume, including a "justification" for Muslim slavery. Brown is the son-in-law of deported terrorist supporter, former University of South Florida professor, Sami al-Arian.

Let us also not forget that Georgetown has a campus in Qatar.

Therefore, he has announced the city government will oppose the project of a new center in Melilla, and will resort to whatever means considered necessary to try and prevent its construction.

"Of course, we categorically reject it, and we will fight as far as we can fight and we will go wherever we have to go," Imbroda affirmed, insisting that, in his judgment, the priority should be to reinforce available measures and modify legislation to accelerate the returns.

Every time I hear some university official talk about their institution's values, I want to throw up. It's as if they all have the same standard statement to make every time their school is embarrassed by the latest outrage.

After so many years of anti-Semitic incidents, most of which happened under the previous chancellor, the feckless Gene Block, but continue under Frenk, in my view, UCLA has no values. If it did, The chancellor, whoever it was, would step in and fire the dean of the law school and anyone associated with this invitation to Ms. Partow. Spain: The Invasion of Ceuta: The Latest "Wake-up Call"

For several years, migrants from North and Sub-Saharan Africa have used the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla (actually located on the North African coast bordering Morocco), as a point of crossing into Spain and the rest of the European Union. Periodically, dozens or even hundreds of migrants, almost exclusively young men, have stormed the fence guarding the border while Moroccan police and border guards do basically nothing, and have fought Spanish border guards and police. Once they made it across, they were basically home free. They would then be placed in reception centers as they requested asylum and their applications were processed.

Most recently, it was Ceuta that saw an invasion on July 30 that amounted to at least 70,000 migrants storming across the border, in many cases simply swimming to the closest Spanish beach. Dozens drowned in the process.

Spanish border guards and police were simply overwhelmed. The asylum center in Ceuta was already filled to overflowing, and these new arrivals could not be accommodated. The local government pleaded with the central government in Madrid under Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for relief. It was slow in coming. The leftist Sanchez government was already in the process of trying to give legal status to some 500,000 migrants already in the country. (Many of these were from South America and were already working in the country. Since they spoke Spanish and shared the same religion as Spain, there was a better possibility of assimilation, as opposed to the mostly Muslim, non-Spanish arrivals from Africa and the Middle East.)

The result was that tens of thousands of people found themselves stranded on the streets of Ceuta with no place to stay, no food, no work, and no possibility of continuing on into continental Europe and other EU member nations. Eventually, the majority of them voluntarily left and were escorted back to the border crossing into Morocco. However, to this day, some 5,000 or more remain on the streets and are camping on the beach. Predictably, there have been reports of sexual assaults; women are afraid to go out at night; and just this week, a group of migrants captured a baby dolphin swimming in shallow waters and proceeded to beat it to death. To them, it was all great sport.

Slowly, Spanish reinforcements began arriving in Ceuta, working 24-hour shifts, patrolling the streets and trying to prevent incidents. The army was shockingly ordered not to take any enforcement action against the migrants and was not even given firearms. In one incident about a week ago, a patrol was assaulted by a group of some 30-40 men throwing rocks at them. They were literally forced to flee for their lives, and their utility vehicle, which was not armored and was totally inadequate for the situation, was destroyed by the mob. The head of the union for soldiers and sailors angrily criticized the federal government, complaining that the "troops' hands and feet were tied."

The European Union reacted in shock at the events unfolding in Ceuta. A diplomatic rift between Italy and Spain erupted when Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that people arriving at Italian airports from Spain would be screened, notwithstanding the EU's Schengen Agreement, which allows unrestricted crossing of national borders of EU-member nations. Spain reacted in anger, and insults flew back and forth between Rome and Madrid.

As if Europe needed another wake-up call, this problem drew attention and alarm across Europe. How could such an invasion take place? Of course, this latest one was just the largest in scale, but smaller border crossings had been occurring periodically in Ceuta and Melilla for years. Sanchez and his government have come under immense criticism for their handling of this mess, and rightly so.

In addition, there was the question of Morocco's role in all this. It appears that the latest invasion was a result of a recent Spanish Supreme Court decision on July 8 that banned Spanish police from immediately deporting, the so-called "push backs", of those coming in this manner. The message was not lost on the migrants. That, coupled with the inaction of the Moroccans, who were doing very little to stop it on their side, if not facilitating it, spurred this latest mass invasion. It was charged that this time, the Moroccans actively facilitated the crossings. This is also the same country, of course, that has spawned the vicious Moroccan Mafia (Mocro Maffia), which is responsible for much of the cocaine smuggling into Belgium and the Netherlands, gang warfare, murders, and political assassinations. Morocco refuses to take back many of its criminals whom the Europeans are trying to deport. This is especially a problem in the Netherlands.

But why should Europe need a wake-up call after all the horrendous crimes and terrorist acts being committed by these illegal migrants, of whom Moroccans are heavily represented? The populations of Western European countries are crying out to their leaders to stop the flow and send the illegals and criminals back to their home countries. Deportations do occur, but at a very slow pace as more keep arriving.

Ceuta should also be a wake-up call for the US, as if we needed it after 9-11, and the open-borders policy of the Biden administration. While Biden was in office, we saw similar scenes on our Mexican border with hundreds of migrants lingering under overpasses on the US side and eventually just being allowed to move around the country at will. Many have engaged in crime, including the vicious Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela, a particularly bloodthirsty bunch.

Gradually, the Ceuta crisis will subside, and things will return to normal-until the next time it happens. On August 15, Moroccan police, under pressure from Spain and the EU, intercepted another large group of migrants in the hundreds after Spanish intelligence made public the fact that they were expecting another wave on that date. But it can't be a one-time event. Unless Morocco decides to act like a responsible member of the family of nations, and the Spanish government in Madrid gets serious about stopping the invasions, Spain will experience this crisis again and again.

Italy: Bangladeshi Girl Escapes Forced Marriage and Death Threats from Family
