This weekend I got to enjoy the company of five lovely ladies at a bloggers meet up in Oxford, organised by Natasha of Candy Pop. Natasha, Vicky, Zoë, Dulcie, Dina and I spent the afternoon exploring some of the city before taking high tea at the Randolph Hotel, where we enjoyed copious amounts of food and the sound of clinking tea cups and a grand piano.

I can’t even express how great it was to spend the day chatting to like-minded people about all things blog-related. I came home feeling inspired and with a camera full of outfit photos, which has been something of a rare occurrence recently.

Kertis is a label that is designed and handmade by talented New Yorker Jessica Kertis. Her current offering is a wonderful mix of bold graphic design and pared back minimalism. I especially love the combination of that colourful silk scarf and check print dress. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Winter has outstayed her welcome this year, but spring finally feels like it’s just around the corner. My weather app tells me it’s going to be a balmy 15°C this weekend – sounds positively tropical!

More pointless clutter, this time in the form of seven botanical drawings (£2.00 the lot) and a trio of seashell swans (49 pennies a piece).

Just as I was beginning to feel a little overdue on thrifting luck, I found this embroidered silk kimono-style jacket in a charity shop yesterday for a meagre £10. It’s quite delicate but remarkably well preserved considering that it looks like it could be quite old. I’m guessing it could be anywhere between 1930s to 1960s, but if any experts (or amateurs) in this field could help me out with dating it, I’d be very grateful!

tba hasn’t really been on my radar for the past couple of seasons, so it was a pleasant surpise to see these images pop up on their facebook page the other day. I’m rather intrigued by that pac man crochet (?) work and the silver pleated top, not to mention that stellar print. Currently these pieces are only available to pre-order, but that’s probably a good thing considering that I still ocassionally stalk eBay for that infamous ballerina print dress.

On a bit of a side note, I know some of you are keen for me to get back to posting original content and I know that I’ve yet to deliver the goods. I’m quite busy at the moment with general life going-ons (work being the greediest thief of my time) but I have every intention of getting back to outfit posts and whatnot soon!

I am completely enamoured with these paintings by Massachusetts-based artist, Jeremy Miranda. I’m not sure what draws me in the most, perhaps it’s his colourful botanical subjects or maybe it’s the contrast between the warm, bright interiors with the cold, stark exteriors. Either way, I can’t stop looking at them. There’s a real sense of isolation in his work, and I kind of love that too.
