The broken rubble of ministry

Renew my passion for ministry. Father, forgive me for all the times I've tried to proceed in my own strength. Forgive me for all the times I have pulled back, just when things were getting good. Show me how to break through the limiting habits and unconscious sabotages that I have allowed to restrain me.

Help me, Lord, to sort through the rubble of failed projects, broken dreams, false starts, neglected words of direction, lost focus and plans that have starved to death from lack of attention. Show me which ones are worth resurrecting. Show me which ones were ordained by you.

Help me, Lord, to become entrenched in life-giving habits of waiting on you, doing only what I see the Father doing, exercising faith, keeping my flesh in submission to the Spirit, knowing when the cloud is moving and following wherever you lead.

Praying for family

Father, I pray for my children and grandchildren and all the generations to come. Father, in everything we think and do and say, let our motives be pure, our attitudes right and our priorities in order. Help us to fulfill all the potential you’ve placed within us. In Jesus’ name and for your glory. AMEN. SO BE IT.

Lord, I pray that my children would be totally committed to serving you with all their hearts. Lord, help us all to become part of the passionate bride of Christ. Lord, I pray that their salvation would be sure and secure in you – radically saved, new creatures in Christ Jesus.

Help us all to grasp forgiveness for ourselves and release it for others. Let us be pure in heart - harboring nothing as guilt in ourselves or bitterness toward others. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and let the fruits and gifts of the Spirit be abundant and remain.

Lord, place within each heart a passion to serve you and a confidence in the power and privilege of prayer.

Help us to lay a strong and firm foundation that cannot be shaken. Ground us in the truth of your word untainted by religion and self-righteousness. Help us to get it right. Align us with your word and your purpose.

Give us a deep and abiding love and sense of responsibility for each other. Cause us to be a healthy family that loves and cares for each other. Help us not to overstep our boundaries, but cause us to be close and accepting of one another.

Father, strengthen us in the places where we are weak and vulnerable. Lord, keep us from addictive behaviors and substance abuse. Help us to turn from unhealthy lifestyles and to become all that we can be in you. Lord, I tear down every stronghold of lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life – I loose righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Let your kingdom reign in our family.

Show us the best ways to nurture and discipline each child. Show us how to raise children who are full of integrity, pure in heart, respectful, good students, hard working and clean in body, soul and spirit. Show us how to be organized and effective in everything we do. Help us to get things done and finish what we start. Show us how to work smart.

Be God of this family. Help us to keep you as the central focus of all that we are and do. Lord, help us to be totally committed to you.

Lord, silence the outside voices and influences that would turn the hearts of my children in wrong directions. Give them teachers and authority figures that will guide them in the way of truth and help them to be all that you have ordained them to be. Give them friends and cause them to be friends that strengthen and correct and enable each other to be better because of those relationships.

Father, heal all the wounded hearts in our family. Lord, I ask for deep and complete emotional healing and restoration.

Lord, give my children a deep abiding love for your word, your house and your presence.

Bless this family – in Jesus’ holy name. AMEN

Prayer for graduates

Father, I pray for all the graduates who are making life changing decisions about their future. Lord, help them. Guide them. Give them insight and wisdom beyond their years. Show them the path that you have ordained. Help them to make the right choices. Open doors of opportunity and close the doors that lead to mistakes.

Lord, I take authority over hopelessness and fear of failure. I bind lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life – you will not be in control of decision making. I loose righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost – Lord, let your kingdom reign in their lives.

Father, in everything they think and do and say; let their motives be pure, their attitudes right and their priorities in order. In Jesus’ name.

Thank you for the education they have received – now take over as teacher. Holy Spirit, be their personal life tutor and coach. Show them how to apply what they know.

Bless their future. Be the central figure in their future. Define their destiny. Lead them into your will and accomplish your purpose in them. Show them the straight and narrow way that leads to you.

Children of divorce

Father, I pray for divided families and crumbling homes: be their help in time of trouble. Heal those families. Take away the point of antagonism and bring peace and restoration of relationships. Align these lives and homes with your word and your will.

Father, I pray for the children of broken marriages. Shield them. Protect their hearts. Help them to find their true identity in you, Lord. Be their refuge. Help them to find stability in good places. Let your church rise up and be a covering for them. Give your church divine insight into how best to minister to these young ones who are at risk. Lead, guide, and establish your church as a resource to these hurting children of divorce.

In the name of Jesus’ I bind all the lies that the enemy would whisper to these vulnerable children. I loose the truth of your love, forgiveness and mercy.

I call forth teachers and adult authorities into their lives to guide them into healthy thinking and responses. I take authority over every root of bitterness that would become established in their hearts. Help them to turn to you for comfort and stability. Be a father to the fatherless. Nurture the motherless. Be the safety net for those who are falling through the cracks of broken homes and broken families.

Help them to see and know that all they need they will find in you.

Jesus, be their answer.

Tornado

Father, Help those who have been struck by these horrific tornadoes. Lead the rescue workers quickly to the survivors. Send your ministering angels to aid in every way possible. Father, help the churches in the area to be responsive and effective in ministering to all those in need. Show them the best ways to serve. Father, provide clean water, food, shelter and medical assistance.

Father, I pray that all those who would seek to take advantage of any who are involved in this crisis, would be stopped in their tracks. Do not allow them to prosper at the expense of those who are in need. Avenge the helpless and desperate.

Let pure and generous hearts reach out and assist. Bless the workers and show them how to work smart. Multiply the effectiveness of their efforts. Help them Lord. Show them what to do each step of the way.

Heal those who are injured. Comfort those who mourn. Be a very present help in this time of trouble. Lord, we pray for strength for all those who are assisting in the hospitals and medical facilities. Sustain, equip and empower them for the job before them. Guide them with your healing hands.

Lord, you know what they need at this moment and what they will need in the immediate future. Help them. Look ahead and provide. Let streams of provision begin to flow to them now – unhindered and appropriately distributed without being tainted with corruption.

Restore all that has been taken from these victims. Bless those who are hurting and those who are helping.

How to pray for missionaries

Father, we pray for the Ransoms and their ministry as missionaries to Ethiopia.

Harvest of souls: We ask for a great harvest of souls that will be won from the kingdom of darkness and discipled into the Kingdom of Light. Give them a hundred fold harvest and fruit that remains. Holy Spirit, go before them and soften hearts that have been hardened to the gospel message. Open doors of opportunity; give them favor with governments, law enforcement, tribal and community leaders. Let the gospel ring out loud and clear and accomplish all that you have intended.

Warfare for the mission and the missionaries: In the name of Jesus’ we take authority over every weapon of the enemy that is formed against them and we declare those weapons will not prosper. We raise the shield of faith that will quench every fiery dart hurled against them. Lord, be their defense and strong tower. Be their offensive coach and give them clear strategy and direction in their ministry.

Continuous flow of anointing: Open a living fountain of anointing that flows from them continuously. Help them not to be weary in well doing. Give them strength to go the distance. Remove those things that would try to sap them of anointing and energy for this mission. Teach them to flow in the gifts and fruits of the Spirit and keep their hearts pure under that power. Help them to walk in your strength and lean on you.

Blessing and provision for this ministry: Father, we ask you to open the treasure house of heaven and pour out abundant provision and blessing on this ministry and on this family. Supply the right tools for ministry that will assist them in being productive. Meet their daily needs for provisions of good food, clean abundant water supply, sufficient power sources, comfortable housing, transportation, communication, home schooling supplies, and special gifts for each member of their family.

Embraced by financial and prayer supporters: Lord, plant a passion deep within the hearts of many who will embrace this ministry with financial and prayer support. Help them to be faithful and tenacious in their support. We claim all the promises and blessings in your word for those who give.

Monthly support raised: We agree together and ask for committed, faithful monthly support. Father, we pray that you would open many streams of support and keep those streams flowing through the Ransom’s entire tour of ministry. Raise this monthly budget support quickly. Speak clearly to those you have assigned to support this work and cause them to be cheerful and ready givers.

Project fund raised: Lord, we see this lump sum of money to be raised as a mountain to be conquered. We want that mountain. We want to surmount this important preparation and enter this season of ministry well equipped and ready to serve. Provide, Lord. Look ahead and provide as only you can.

What should I give? Lord, I want to hear from you specifically. What do you want from me right here and right now. Show me my part in this ministry. Help me to be so submissive to your will that you can have whatever you want from me and I will give it without hesitation or regret.

Win the lost - the right way

Father, I worship you and press into your presence. Lead me beside the still waters and restore my soul. Lead me in paths of righteousness for your name’s sake.
Holy Spirit, what would you have me to pray about today?

Lord, help us to pursue evangelism with
the right motives.

We raise our hearts and hands in praise and we love you with all that is in us. We commit to serving you in ways that please you and meet your standards. We choose to love the lost because you first loved us. Move us with compassion for them. Help us to SEE them. Help us to recognize the opportunities right at our doorsteps and fingertips.

Help us to skillfully brandish the best of our weapons of warfare to recover those captured by the kingdom of darkness and bring them into the kingdom of light. Help us to counsel, nurture, and disciple them until they are part of your passionate bride.

In the name of Jesus we break the chains of deception and assumed lies that hold them captive. Let the truth of your love and mercies reverberate until those chains are shattered.

Breakthrough against Cancer

Lead those in cancer research to breakthrough discoveries and do-able answers. Provide the prevention and the cure to the masses. Heal us. Set us free.

Truth like a Lion

In the name of Jesus’ we take authority over every fraudulent political maneuver that would mask the truth and we stop it now. Disarm those who are guilty and protect the innocent. Let no weapon formed against the innocent prosper.

Father, remove the corruption in every level of our government, military, law enforcement, media and educational institutions. Fill the vacuum and void with righteous servants that command the respect of this country and the world.

Open Our Eyes

Father, give us a relentless addiction to your presence. Show us how to open ourselves to you and worship you more deeply. Open our eyes to see you in the beauty of your holiness and the majesty of your throne.

Open our eyes to see ourselves as you see us. Refine us and cause us to be the best that we can be. Develop those parts of us that please you the most. Help us not to waste our lives.

Flow through us in the divine gift of discernment. Open our eyes to see what is of you, what is of self, and what is of the kingdom of darkness. Show us which weapons of warfare are the most effective in each battle. Show us when to bind and loose. Show us when to speak to the mountain. Show us when to take authority over evil spirits. Show us when to speak and when to be silent and wait.

You said if we lacked wisdom to ask and you would not reprimand us for asking. We are asking. Give us divine sight and insight.

Warring Against Cancer

Father, I pray that you would raise up an army of 1000 intercessors who will wage war and win over cancer.

Lord, I pray for break-though in cancer research, cures and prevention. I pray for deliverance from the spirit of cancer. I pray for release of gifts of divine healings, faith and miracles. I curse the root and seed of cancer. I curse tumors and command them to be gone in Jesus’ name. I bind cancer in Jesus’ name and loose life and health to those who are suffering. I speak to the mountains of doubt, unbelief and hopelessness and command you to be cast into the pit.

I speak life to those who are under the sentence of death from cancer. I speak strength and comfort to the families and supporters who walk this journey with them. Send a refreshing wind of hope and faith. Be a very present help in time of trouble. Be our healer. Be our God.

Show us how to use these weapons

Holy Spirit, use me as your intercessor. Search the heart of the Father and pray through me prayers that are effective and accomplish His divine will and purpose.

Lord, teach us to bind and loose. Holy Spirit, be our tutor. Equip us with this powerful tool and show us how to wield it effectively. Educate us in our authority and temper that knowledge with humility and submission to your guidance. Show us how to please you in prayer, warfare, and intercession. We ask for a deeper revelation of your word in using this weapon of warfare.

Take us deeper. Expand our territory and authority in prayer. Use us and improve us. Lord, let the two-edged sword of the word in our mouth be honed like a surgical instrument and wielded like a “smart” weapon. Show us effective techniques in prayer.

Raise up an army of effective intercessors who will do battle against cancer; Who will press for cleansing of corruption in our government, our military, our educational institutions and our churches; Who will do battle for the lost souls who are bound in the Kingdom of darkness; Who will seek your will and see it manifested through prayer. Lord, teach us to pray.

Get the junk out

Father, in everything I think and do and say; let my motives be pure, my attitudes right and my priorities in order. Help me to fulfill all the potential you've placed within me.

Search all my deep and hidden parts. Cleanse every part of me. Remove every root and seed of bitterness and unforgiveness. I give you permission to unlock every door and shine your search light in every dark and secreted place. Lord, I need a spring cleaning. Clean sweep and bleach scrub until I shine with your reflected glory.

I surrender my right to be offended. I forgive every offense. I surrender my right to judge. Forgive my judgmental knee-jerk responses and change me right from the source that causes them. Heal the deep hurts and keep me from hurting others. Strengthen me in the places where I am morally weak. Remove every choking thorn that inhibits the growth of your word and the development of spiritual fruits.

Forgive my lack of discipline and strength. Cause the fruits of faithfulness to be evident and abundant. Remove my fear and hesitation to ask for patience and long-suffering. I want all you have for me. I know that your blessings make us rich and add no sorrow with it. I trust you with the schedule of my development and your choice of the course I must take to produce the “ME” that you want me to be. My life is yours. Completely.

Lord, I pray for the House Oversight Committee. Help them to ask the right questions. Arm them with questions that get right to the source. Overcome political and personal agendas and let the undeniable, untainted, un-spun truth be revealed. I call forth truth in Jesus’ name. I pray that you would unmask deception and protect the innocent. Help us, Lord. Be Lord of our Congress and Chief Chair of this committee.

Father, I pray that you would purge the corruption born in greed and malice from every level of our government. Fill each position with servant-hearted, capable people of integrity. Purge out those who just simply can't do the job and fill their positions with competent, faithful, and hard working servants.

Remove the unworthy from seats of power in our government, our military, our media and our educational institutions. Let your Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, reign through those whom you have placed in positions of authority and influence. Support the righteous as they stand for truth. Give them favor with the people and the press.

Let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Lord, forgive my prayerlessness. Forgive me for caving in under pressure and pain when I should be standing in faith and doing battle with your word.

Lord, I need you to renew my zeal and passion for ministry. Help me to carefully sort through the things on my to do list; help me to clearly identify the things that you’ve assigned to me and to disentangle myself from everything else. Clarify my vision and single my focus. Help me, Lord. Pour a new passion into my life for the things that you have commissioned me to do. Remove the dead weight of every other distraction that is sucking the strength out of me. Clean house, God. Do a clean sweep through my life until all that is left is exactly what you want there.

Renew, my vision for ministry. Show me again what your intent and purpose is. Reveal your heart and your desire. Make me over to be like you.

Show me the areas of my ministry that I’m trying to do in my own strength. Help me to prayerfully place them in your able hands and let them go in faith. Show me the areas where I’ve missed it. Redirect me. Instruct me again. Clean up my mess and bring it right. Replace the duty and drudgery with fiery fervor and passionate craving to please and honor you.

Saturate my life and each area of my ministry with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and your enabling grace.

Father, heal me and give me the physical strength to accomplish my spiritual missions. In Jesus’ name.

Protection for intercessors

Inspire and encourage us to pray. Let this time with you be an addictive pleasure and source of abundant life. Flow through us to accomplish your will and bring your kingdom reign into this world today.

Thank you, Lord, for humble heroes who have set the bar high. Thank you for saints who have laid the foundational examples of what a prayer life can be and what we can accomplish through prayer. Lord, raise up another generation with great intercessors like Andrew Murray, Reese Howell, Brother Lawrence, Watchman Nee and David Yonggi Cho. Raise up intercessors who will change nations and the course of history.

Protect your intercessors from the attacks of the enemy. Be their shield and strong tower. Protect and defend those who fall on their knees to serve you in prayer. Cover them with your glory and refresh them as they grow weary. Bless your intercessors and reward them richly.

Holy Spirit, fill us with the gifts of discernment, wisdom and knowledge. Teach us to pray directly at the source. Cause our prayers to be effectual and fervent.

Father, would you ward off the distractions and interfering elements that tug us away from your presence. Give us a singleness of heart and mind that is center around you. Help us to be focused on you alone.

Right here - right now

So many doors. Lord, these choices are too important to treat them like a game show. I need your direction. I will not open another door until you speak. I will not start another ministry or project, I will not commit my time to anyone else unless you specifically direct it.

Help me. Father, I pray for discernment between the things that are “good” and the things specifically directed by you. You created time – I know you can teach me how to manage it. Lord, I don’t want to just manage time. I desire to learn how you flow through time. Teach me. Show me how to make time my servant and aide me in my service to you.

Holy Spirit, I ask for a revelation and vision of what you want to do in this congregation, in this ministry, at this time. I desire to be in sync with you and your plan. I need you to give clarity and detailed direction. Show us the big picture first. Open our eyes to see the things you really want to do right here and right now. Then show us exactly what our part is in your plan.

Father, send the wind of the Holy Spirit to refresh and invigorate us. Get our attention with your sweet fragrance. Help us to breathe deep and be renewed.

Lord open a fountain of life within each of us. Lord, we want to go past “looking for someone else’s river” and open up the well you’ve placed inside each of us. Cause us to be the fountain head through which you refresh others. Let the rivers of living water flow out from our bellies. Spring up, O well, within my soul.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and direction. Show us what you want to accomplish through our Open Heaven Summit. Whatever you want, Lord, just meet us there. We desire you. We need you. Your presence is what we seek. Manifest your presence any way you like – just let us be there with you. We lay aside our preconceived ideas of what revival should look like. Cleanse us of religious mindsets. Surprise us with the freshness of what you desire to do in this new season.

It is you we seek. Shatter our limited expectations with more than we could ask or imagine. More of you. More of your grace. More of your mercy. More of your love.

Let our hunger for you be contagious among our congregation. Let excitement and hope spring from heart to heart as your presence fills the sanctuary. Let your glory be the magnet that draws your people.

It is you we adore. It is you we seek. Come, Lord.

Fill us with your love until it overflows and causes our “secular life” to be united with our walk with you. Remove the division of self that compartmentalizes you to only the “church box” of our experience. Fill all of our lives. Take over everything that is in all our other categories and cause us to be single-minded and clearly focused. Make us one with you.

Train us to recognize your voice

Thank you for the warmth of your presence. You are the great and mighty God and worthy of all praise and honor. I worship you.

Help me Lord, to be sensitive to your voice and responsive to your call. Teach me to be a ready servant.

Show me how to be effective in prayer. Teach me how to release my faith when it’s time to speak to the mountain, bind and loose, tear down strongholds, and pray the word. Teach me to pray the fragrant prayers that please you and accomplish your purpose.

Help me to switch my focus from self-centeredness to Christ-centeredness. I choose to put away all of my “stuff” and turn my attention to you, Lord. Swallow up my little world in the vastness of you. Absorb me into your essence and help me to abide there. I want to be where you are, to walk where you walk, to see through your eyes and to know your heart.

How can I serve you in prayer today? What needs to be spoken? What do you want to accomplish? How can I partner in agreement with you?

_That my people would know my voice._

“…and his sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” John 10:4b

Lord, I pray that your people – your sheep – would know and recognize your voice. Help us Lord, to silence the confusion and distractions of everyday life so we can tune our ears to hear your voice alone. Help us to be so familiar with the sound of your voice that we know it intimately. Help us to identify you with certainty. Protect us from those who would impersonate or imitate you and lead us away from your path and protection. Let us know your voice.

Lord, when your voice thunders from the clouds and you utter your voice before your armies, help us not to quake and be paralyzed with fear – cause us to rise to the battle cry. Help us not to run and hide from the sound of your voice as Adam did, but rather cause us to run to your embrace like the prodigal son.

Father, help us to be so submerged in your word that we are actually “of the truth” – that your word is in us to the point of becoming an integral part of our being. Let the truth within us resonate with the sound of your voice like a tuning fork. Put us on the same wave length. Tune us to the right/true frequency. We long to hear you clearly, Lord.

In times like these my cry for help is worship. I cry out my total dependence on you. You are my source, my Father, my deliverer and healer. All that I am and all that I have I lay in a broken heap at your feet. Consume this humble sacrifice so I can start over. Baptize me in your loving-kindness. Immerse me in your river of life until I am clean, refreshed and new. Help me. Be my God.

Now that I am emptied of all my “stuff” – I invite you Holy Spirit to come and inhabit this earth-suit. Pray through me, Holy Spirit.

Lord, I pray for those who are on the front-lines and invading the kingdom of darkness. Let your word be a ready weapon in their mouths. Be their shield and protection. Reveal the plots and tactics of the enemy against them. Forearm and prepare them for whatever lay ahead. Fight for them, Lord. Give them evangelistic strategy and a harvest of souls.

Roar, Lion of Judah. Roar until our enemy quakes in feeble surrender. Roar until the chains fall from the captives. Roar until the facades of man’s laws and policies fall like the walls of Jericho. Roar until the chains of addictions fall off. Roar until cancer shrivels and dies. Roar until the intimidators cower in fear. Roar, Lion of Judah! Roar out your fierce war cry until it becomes our sound of triumph. Roar until we dance in victory. The kingdom, the power and the glory are yours forever and ever. AMEN – So be it.

Freedom from pain

Lord, I give you my clock, my calendar, my agenda, my days and my nights. I lay them at your feet in total surrender. You have complete access and may interrupt, rearrange, reorder and use them any way you like. I am yours. You are my Lord. I worship you with all that I am and all that I have.

Jesus, I take the seat that you have provided for me in heavenly places. Thank you for the privilege and honor of using your name. You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and I worship you with all my heart.

Father, I pray for all that suffer from physical pain. Be our healer and deliverer.

In the name of Jesus, I take authority over every spirit of infirmity that has been assigned against your people. I cancel those assignments and break the grip of pain in Jesus’ name.

Father, I pray that you would go right to the source of whatever is causing pain and fix it. Remove the cause. Fix the problem. Show us how to prevent the enemy from having access in these areas. Change us and deliver us.

Lord, we ask for gifts of healing for cancer, arthritis, fibromyalgia and all other painful maladies. Cleanse us from these ailments, injuries, syndromes and diseases. Change us Lord, and cause us to walk in divine health and wellness. Heal us, Lord.

We lay hold of every benefit of the atonement – in Jesus’ name. SO BE IT! AMEN!

Work from that abiding place

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 NKJV

Father, I pray that through these Open Heaven Summit meetings that you would stir a hunger in your people for your presence. Bring us to that place where we experience a deeper level of abiding in you. We want more. We need more.

Help us to get our priorities in order. Show us how to work from that abiding place. Give us fruit that remains. We acknowledge total dependence on you. There is no success or fruitfulness apart from you. Root us deeper in your anointing. Cause us to be nurtured from the deep springs.

Show us how to walk in your presence day in and day out. Show us how to abide in you as we work and fulfill the demands on our lives. Teach us how to live abiding.
Show us the treasures and pleasures of your secret places. Open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that our homes cannot contain. Shower us with Heaven’s best blessings.

Help us to find healing, rest, answers, breakthroughs, forgiveness, strength, revelation and direction in your presence. Meet us there. You are our source and our supply. You alone have the words of life. You are our only source. Be God to us and in us.

Holy Spirit, pray through me for this Open Heaven Summit.

Lord, you’ve said through specific prophetic words to our congregation that you had put your name in this place. I know that was a significant promise and I “bring it to your remembrance” again.

2 Chron 7:16-17 “For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.”

Turn your eyes and heart to this house again. Meet with us. Abide with us. Sanctify this house again. Establish it as your perpetual dwelling place. Let your train fill this sanctuary.

Come and heal us. Come and reveal yourself and your word to us. We invite you to meet with us at this appointed time. Flood us with a special manifestation of your holiness and presence. Let your glory fill our house. Come, Lord, we invite you.
