I'm trying to decide between a soft or hard case. My ex had a very nice soft case that he loved for his guitar, but I'm thinking for an 8 year old child, a hard case would be a better choice. Kids are rough on things, so a nice hard case to protect the guitar would be good. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm new to this, and have never owned an instrument. So I'll take any suggestions..lol!

Online Programs, Maybe?

This girl needs some focus! I have been so out of focus lately, not working when I should, not concentrating on the job at hand. It's not been good, but the thing I am most upset with is that I have lost focus on what I want to do with my life. I would love to work in the art field, preferably in graphic design. I've looked at some Online certificate programs and I am really thinking about saving up some money and going for it. I think it would really make me happy in the long run and would be worth the money. Anyone take any online courses? Do you like them?

Be Safe Out There!

So today while running some errands at the store and the bank, I ran across a horrible car accident. The use of medical air evacuation had to be used, so you know it was a bad accident. I hope that no one died, but I'm fairly certain someone probably did. It looked pretty bad. So this is my reminder to everyone driving on winter roads. Slow down, it's icy and getting to your destination a few minutes late is better than not arriving at all. Be safe!

Mother Nature is Crazy!

Today is January 20th, right? Right. Ok...at the beginning of January we had no snow. You could still see grass on the ground. Now we have a good foot and a half of snow! Crazy! She's like..."hahahaha...you thought you were going to have an easy winter, but you were WRONG!" siiiiigh...I really do not like winter. I should of been working, or cleaning, or doing just about anything, but instead I spent most of the day online. I spent part of the day looking up miller welders for my brother, and the other part yapping at my friend. Tomorrow I really have to get something accomplished. At this point, it could really be anything, and I would be happy. I'm not really sure when it happened, but I've gotten really lazy the last couple weeks. So I have to kick it into high gear and get my butt moving! Wish me luck!

A Scary Possibility

Well the neighbors are packing up and moving out. The neighbors that have driven me crazy for several years now, with they're constant banging around. Today though I couldn't of been happier when I saw him out there loading the contents of his metal buildings into a big trailer. I about wanted to throw a little party, but I refrained. lol! I'm kind of nervous now though. These neighbors were not the best, but what if our new neighbors are even worse? That's always a possibility, a scary possibility. That would be my luck too...lol. So is this a good thing they are moving, or not? Only time will tell!

Birthday Bash!

My brother always throws a big bash for his birthday, and this year was no exception. There were a lot of people there, including a lot of my friends, so I brought some Party enhancers, K6 herbal incense and Spiritual powders from Herbal City LLC. I figured why not? It's a party, so let's have a little fun. They also worked great to calm my anxiety down, so that was nice. I have a big problem with social anxiety, so big crowds of people kind of freak me out. With the products that I brought though, it was no big deal.

Next year I told him that we need to rent some place for the party. It started out as just a little get together at our house, for just our friends, and over the years has grown to a couple hundred people. The party usually spills outside onto the lawn and neighbors houses. I'm sure the neighbors that don't attend, just love us this time of year. lol. Oh well, at least we have fun, and we also have some great pictures and memories. Which is all what's it's about in the first place.

Hungry!!!

I'm waiting for boyfriend to get here with dinner, and my stomach is I think going to eat itself..lol. In any case I'm hungry, and I want my food!!! Maybe I'll go get a small snack to tide me over, but I'm also on a diet, so that's probably not a good idea. lol! I'm shocked at the prices that people are charging for maternity clothes. I know they are a special clothing item, but I think the prices that people are charging far exceed the amount they should. Because of that, I've been looking at deal sites. These are sites where you register once and benefit from daily or weekly deals. I found the site nomorerack.com and after reading some nomorerack reviews have decided that the chance of a nomorerack scam is not likely. It's always smart to check out sites, because you never know.

Anyway, I really like this site and am finding some great deals. I'm trying not to go overboard and buy a bunch of baby clothes and other things that won't be used, but it's hard. I haven't been able to buy for a baby in a long time, so this girl is going a little crazy! lol! I'm sure my friend will end up with a ton of stuff that she never uses, or only gets worn once. Oh well! lol! I at least had fun buying and saved money too!

Happy Hubby

Guest post from: Joe Castro

My husband is always complaining about not having time to watch his favorite shows. He says that he misses them by the time that he gets home from work, plays with the kids, and has time with me. This is actually true, because his favorite show is actually TLC’s “Swamp People,” which I can never understand. He loves it more than anything though, but seems to always miss it. He does so much for our family, and I wanted to truly get him a gift that would keep on giving this year. At first, I was just going to give him the DVD’s of “Swamp People,” but I wanted to get him something even more than that. So, I started asking around to my friends, and came up with the idea to get him a subscription to satellite TV through direct tv buffalo. I cannot wait to watch his reaction when he gets it! He is going to be so thrilled, and I guarantee the first thing he’ll do is program the recording of that weird show. But hey- whatever keeps him happy! ?

Sick of Being Sick

I am completely sick and tired of being sick and tired. I swear I haven't had one single day in months where I've actually felt good. Either my stomach is bugging me, my anxiety is giving me panic attacks, I've had a cold, or my head hurts. Today it's my head. I swear it feels like a marching band is playing in there. It's just pounding and pounding. My vision was messing up also, which kind of worried me a little. I'm going to relax a little tonight and take it easy. Hopefully I'll feel better...or at least a little better tomorrow.

Tomorrow's Chores

So my cousin is going in for laser spine surgery next week, so I've been recruited to do some cook and freeze meals for her. I'm not really sure how long the recovery time is, but I thought it's something little I can do that would help her out. So tomorrow I'll be doing that all day. I also have a bunch of cleaning to do. It never ends. I did 4 loads of laundry today. Four. Not one or two...but four. I'm seriously considering the nudist lifestyle. Those people have it made. lol.

Sinus Pain is the Worst!

So for the last several months I have been battling sever sinus pain. This pain is so bad, that I think I would rather give birth to another child, instead of growing through this. At least after child birth, you have a beautiful new baby to love and adore. This sinus pain though is horrible. It's been keeping me up pretty much every night for hours. No amount of pain medication helps. I've been on antibiotics for the infection for roughly a month, and there is no improvement.

I've been looking at home remedies, or for my Spanish speaking viewers, remedios caseros. Home remedies are an alternative to prescribed medicine, and often times work just as well, if not better. So I've been thinking about giving the Neti Pot a try. For those that don't know what it is, Google it. In short though, it's a small pot you put water in, you put the spout up to one nostril, lean forward and the water comes out the other nostril. It cleans and moisturizes your sinuses. I really think this might be worth a try. Right now though, anything is worth a try. Anyone else have any good home remedies for sinuses? Let me know!

Christmas!

It's only four short days away! I can't believe how fast this month has gone by. It seems like just yesterday, that it was December 1st. Ahh I guess time flies when you're having fun,.....or stressing about money, presents, and more money..lol. I really can't wait for this year to be over. It was a hard year, and I really just want a fresh start. I also want a fresh start on my diet. I need to lose 40lbs this year. All these Christmas cookies and goodies are not helping, that's for darn sure..lol.

Volunteering During the Holidays

Well it's almost Christmas, just 5 more days to go. I was wishing earlier that I had more time. If I did, I would of loved to do some volunteering this year. Our local hospital usually has many volunteers every year. They really get into the holiday spirit. They even decorate the little hospital carts that they push around with garland. It's cute and festive and really gets the patients into the holiday spirit, even when they're in the hospital. I just think it would of been nice to put a smile on someone's face this year, by volunteering. Have you done any volunteering? How did it go?

They Look so Comfy!

I've been so busy the last week or so. I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Christmas is just a really busy time of the year. There's no getting around it either. Stuff has to get done, whether you want to do it or not. I've been busy Christmas shopping, getting things around for my daughter's Christmas concert, and running some errands with my boyfriend. He just got a job as a Chef at the local assisted living here where we live, and he needed to pick up some Chef coats. I went ahead and went to the uniform place with him.

I probably shouldn't of done that..lol. While we were there I noticed how darn comfortable nursing scrub pants looked. My brother in law used to wear them for work, but would also wear them all the time at home. I'm thinking maybe he was onto something. Maybe I've just become lazier, but they look really appealing now..lol. I looked them up at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Men/ and I'm thinking about getting a pair. No, I won't where them outside of the house. I promise. lol!

Camping and Christmas

Since it's winter and we won't be doing any camping soon, I went ahead and packed all of that stuff up. I noticed though when I did that our tent has a huge spot gnawed in it. I'm think an animal must of got to it? I really have no idea, since it's so weird. So I got online today and looked at
kelty tents at RockyMountainTrail.com, and they look really nice. So I think when my mom asks me what I want for Christmas I'll tell her that. That way, we get what we want, and it's a gift. Win, win..I say! :)

Silly Mom

So my mom found a bunch of stuff outside that she wanted me to take to the dump, so I went over there to look at it. In the pile were perfectly good things, like a metal hose, a stool, a cabinet. I'm asked her why she was junking all this stuff, and she said she didn't need it anymore. I was like, well that's when you donate stuff, not junk it. Someone else could use it, and it would avoid going to a landfill somewhere. Silly mom!

Grrrrrr...

Why is it that when I'm trying to work, everyone and especially MY mother, thinks it's a good time to sit down and chat?! Can you not see that I have my headphones in and am working?! That's usually a hint to most people, that someone does not want to be bothered. I guess some people just don't get the hint. When I was walking around the yard, I went into the backyard, which I hardly ever do. I was quickly reminded of the pile of junk that I threw out there, and forgot about..lol. It was stuff that the last renters had left, and since I rarely go in the backyard, I forgot all about it. So I'm going to be making a call to Bellaire Junk removal, to have that taken care of.

My neighbor has probably been not so happy with me, since he does have a great view of it. I should probably wander over there one of these days and apologize for making him look at that awful site for so long. I have some other stuff that needs to be sorted and could probably go out with the junk removal too. I guess I know what I'll be doing over the next few weeks. Fun Fun! Oh well, I have to have something to keep me busy. It might as well be cleaning. lol.

Why Wait?

Thanks for the post from Lynn Guy

The other day I went to direct tv boiseto check out their deals and channels they offer. I was shocked to see how much prices have come down on Directv. They offer so many great channels, even on their standard packages. I’’m a pretty simple girl, but it would be nice to have access to all this stuff. Especially since I would get more for less than what I’m paying now. I delayed switching my services because I wasn’t sure that I would be able to get a better deal than I already had. I felt so dumb when I saw that I was overpaying for the service I had. I don’t even have access to all of the NFL gameI want to watch. If I sign up for Directv I’ll get NFL Sunday Ticket for free and I won’t have to worry about that anymore. I can’t believe it took me so long to make a move on this. I have just been throwing money out the window and not even realizing it. I am so mad at myself!

Unique Gifts

So I was think about Christmas gifts today, and trying to come up with something unique. I'm kind of stumped as to what to get a few people. I'm thinking of having a
custom coin made for everyone. I thought that might be kind of neat. Other than that, I'm not really sure..lol. I've been stalking the black Friday deals all morning, I'll be up late tonight trying to get a good deal on things. I don't know though, that stuff just never seems personal to me. I'd like something with a little more thought in it. This week has kind of been rough with work, and money is getting a little tight around here. With Christmas just around the corner, I'm starting to worry just a little. I had originally planned on using a check from and inheritance I'm getting from my Grandmother's estate, but I haven't received it yet. I guess I need to call the estate lawyer barrie and when I should expect to see it in my desperate little hands..lol.

I want my kids to have a good Christmas. I know that gifts aren't everything, but they certainly do make a difference when it comes to kids. My kids are still pretty young though and are still at that age that getting anything is "over the moon" unbelievable, so I have that in my favor. lol. It's definitely time to start hitting the sales and stalking the clearance aisle though. Any little bit helps and I'm going to take it. So what are you getting your kids for Christmas? Any must have items that your kids want? Any great deals you know of? Leave me a comment!

Rewind Button Please?!

So I was perusing the local paper today and ran across the birth announcements. I have never in my life felt so old..lol. There was a girl in their, that I remember being a little girl herself, that had a baby. She's now married and has a brand new baby girl. I think I stood there in shock for a good five minutes. Am I really this old? Did time get fast fowarded, because if it did...hit the rewind button! There's just certain things that when they happen, they make you really realize how old you are. That was definitely one of them. lol! So what was yours?
