My New Year's Eve!

I was at the Together As One show in LA for New Year's. I saw the countdown with Laidback Luke (above). I was standing near the front on the left side of the video. :D

Overall it was awesome! I didn't get to see Nero like I planned but I got to see Afrojack, Dada Life, a bit of Wolfgang Gartner and Rusko's sets, Pendulum and of course Laidback Luke.

I was inside the venue just before 9pm because the lines to get in were insane! Also, I was the only one in my group with a will-call ticket so while the rest of the gang got into the Entrance line, I first had to go through the will-call line to pick up my ticket and then get in line to get inside. This resulted in not meeting up with everyone until I was walking back to the hotel :|

Overall, though, I had an amazing time bringing in the new year. Happy 2011!

Saturday at Work

Hey, what's up.
Just a quick story: Yesterday at work I was putting some shirts back. This guy reaches for one on the rack and his hand bumps into mine. He says, "Excuse me. Don't think I was trying to hold your hand or anything, (laughs)."

I looked at him, and with the straightest possible face, I said, "That's too bad."

The dude's eyes got WIDE open and he pretty much power-walked away.

I thought it was funny, but maybe you had to be there.

I remember logging in to MySpace to see if my friends had posted any interesting bulletins. It used to be the usual bunch of surveys or some funny anecdote from the day's events, but now it seems that everyone is gone. All the bulletins I see most of the time are spam.

Can I Borrow Some Time?

I forgot my parking permit today. I drove my dad's truck to school yesterday and remembered to get the parking permit out of my car. Today, I forgot to put it back. Day passes are $5. Maybe I can get my five-note back if I bring in my parking permit to the Parking Services Office tomorrow. Or something. I doubt it.
Today, I took a Social Science midterm. It wasn't half as difficult as I imagined it to be. Or maybe I just got them all wrong. Only not really. =D
I have a 1-2 page paper due on Thursday for my Humanities class. I should get started on it. We have to write about the wants and needs of some of the characters in a movie we watched in class, A Man for All Seasons. I think that's what it was called. It was about Henry VIII and Thomas More. Apparently, Thomas got beheaded because of his values and beliefs. All he had to do was sign a piece of paper and he would've been released. Ah, well, to each his own.
My computer's getting a bit heated...

After a slight automobile mishap, Sandy and I finally headed out to the Royal/T shop in Culver City. The shop is amaaazing! And after waiting in a line that we didn't even need to wait in, I took pictures of almost everything. Yea. So here they are, in no particular order:

After the Royal/T place, we stopped at In-N-Out. That's where I snapped that last picture. I just had to, the bevel cut on that is beautiful.
Finally, I wanna add that I finally got to see a KAWS 4' Companion in person. It was awesome.

I tried to make something like this in Cinema 4D, and failed horribly:

I only got this far before I had to work on my "real" project for class. Which was awhile ago now... I'll probably never finish it.

So what's new? I'll tell ya. First off, I got a new laptop. It's a mac again and it's sweeeet. Also got CS4, the web premium. I had CS2 before this, and everything is pretty much the same except for the tool icons... Ah well, I'll find its in-depth uses soon enough.

Quick question: why do I go to sleep sooooo late (early?)?? I have trouble keeping my eyes closed.

Almost 2 months without blogging?? Wtf, right? Oh yea, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Anyway, I went shopping today. It was totally hetero, though. Kidrobot had some new releases so I went and got 'em:

I have to go back tomorrow... I opened the '77 edition and the wrapper was opened! Not only that, but the head was loose. Almost like a bobble head.

Has anyone seen the previews for the Nick & Norah flick? I watched it today and it's really good. Go check it out.
Anyway, I was hanging out with Sandwich and this is what happens:

I got my septum pierced. It kinda hurt more than I wanted it to. You might also notice that I have another piercing down there.

I got this one on Sunday. Coincidentally, I was hanging out with Sandwich that day, too. I'm starting to see a pattern there...

Let's just get to more pictures because I have TONS.

Fun times at the local wal-mart. I was campaigning on his behalf, since he can't be everywhere at once.

Heinous traffic. It takes almost half an hour to get from the school to the freeway entrance!! I was on my way to the San Berdoo courthouse to make another payment on that ticket. Two more and I should be done.

Random graffiti on a window at the VA building in school. I gotta remember to bring my markers... I mean, this damn vandalism is really getting out of hand. We must take action and put an end to those taggers!

See that? Look at the price of this book and try not to vomit in your mouth. $130 for one book? A book I'll never even read?? Good thing I'm not in accounting; that book cost almost two bills!

Pretty awesome, right? Somehow everything is better in only two dimensions...

So, as I've mentioned before, I have no job. Which basically means I have nothing to do. That's pretty sad, I know. I know. So since I have nothing to do, I spend most of my time online. MySpace this, eBay that. But all that surfing, I'm bound to run into something cheap and awesome, right?? RIGHT.

The Hundreds had a sale for their Spring/Summer line, and I nabbed this awesome tee. I had my eye on it since it came out, but my closet can't hold any more tee's! But c'mon, it was on sale...

I gotta give it up to The Hundreds, though:

They hook you up with the freebies! Apart from the shirt, they sent me a bunch of stickers and the Fall/Winter look book. =)

That same day I got the package from The Hundreds, I got two other boxes, too:

0_0. That's a lot of Seinfeld. I already have these, but I got them used the first time so my boxes were all torn and ratty. Not these!

A pair of shorts from Kidrobot. I know I don't wear a size 32, but I'm trading them for the right size to this dude from the KR forums board. Good times.

You might've noticed that in that first set of Seinfeld dvd's, it included Volumes 1 and 2. Yet here they are again:

I know. I know... See what happened was, I was bidding on this AND that other one at the same time, you know, just in case. But I ended up winning both of them. Not all is lost, though, because this set came with Seinfeld salt & pepper shakers and a deck of Seinfeld playing cards. You gotta look at the positive side, right?

The other day, I grew weary of just being in the house. So I wandered over to the backyard. What did I do there, you might be wondering. Well, I took some pictures of all the flora and fauna...

And I had two she could choose from, either some blue ones or these. But she said black jeans reminded her of work. So I guess I win. Now Denisse and I both have black skinny jeans from TR. She said we could be twinses.

First off, my guitar string broke, the high e:

I'm not sure if you can see it, but the string on the far right is missing. I was playing and it snapped off; it also gave me a small cut on my hand.

Did anyone watch the Olympics? I didn't. Except for one or two games of the women's beach volleyball. Don't ask me who was playing, or who won 'cus I couldn't tell ya...

Took this at the Stater Bros. I really wanted to yank out one of the Coke's in the middle there.

Who knew eBay took up so much time? Because I didn't. Well, I guess it wasn't just eBay. I'm also trying to learn to play my electric guitar, instead of just coasting on Guitar Hero. Real guitar is pretty hard. People make it look so eaaasy! But I'm not trying to learn the names of notes and all that, I just downloaded some tab and went from there...

I'm aware of the fact that my bed is without a sheet. Denisse was kind enough to reply to my pix msg with an 'Ewww there's no sheet on your beeed!!' or something like that. But I was cleaning the room and changing the sheet, so I was picking up everything from the floor and putting it on the bed. Geez, Denisse.

Ooooh, dusk! Or is it dawn? Idk it was about 5 am and I couldn't sleep. But I never blame the Jack in the Box.

This is my first post as an unemployed person. Feels kinda good... I just need to find things to do, on a daily basis. If only most of those things didn't include driving. Summer is the only time I'm not too keen on driving. Why, you ask? Because I don't have a/c, I answer. Worst of all, there's ZERO shade at my house, so anytime I want to get in my car, it'll be hot in there. Leather seats...

As you may know, the movie Pineapple Express came out TODAY. Well, I caught the midnight show last night (this morning?). Don't get me wrong, the movie was EXTREMELY funny, but that wasn't the best part of the night. This was:

Writer's Block

Well, not so much writer's block as much as artist's block. I'm not satisfied with the Y's I've come up with. And in my boredom and frustration, I opened up Illustrator and had me some Pen tool practice:

I'm thinking of taking all that stuff off the end of the D and placing it at the end of the Y. I really don't even know why I started with the D. Weird...

It's mostly the same as that first picture I put up. There are a few differences, though. Let me know if you can spot 'em!

Way Bored

I don't work tomorrow. I guess it's today, technically. Nothing really planned, except for I have to drop off some papers at school. I went on Monday, but I was missing a form so they wouldn't take the papers I had. Way lame.

Ok, so there's not much to show from the July folder of pictures, so this should be quick...

I'm gonna be working on another painting soon. Here's the sketch I have so far, it's still missing the Y because I ran out of room. And for those who know me, and know the people I know, it's not THAT Sandy...

Hmm, this was a fun day at work:

It was about 3 weeks ago, I think. Supposedly I was receiving 80-some boxes, and they end up sending 160+. Yay. Misinformation and disorganization is one of the reasons I'm finally leaving that place.

Ok, so I had the day off from work today, and what better way to spend it than by getting a TATTOO?!?
