Under the Arizona sun along the Route 66...Frank take a little trip for show a special Muscle of the 60'thies: PONTIAC GTO 1964 for someone the mother of muscle's

this car it had been found semi-restored by Frank,and he had think...why don't replace totally? and so he gone to start!

the car is painted in starlight black,with black interior

At this time Frank was lucky,'cause the car was in good conditions and the work have been almost easy.

under the hood a tri- power 383 ci with 348 hp!

Frank shows another work done:an Olds 442 1969 year.
Found in good conditions only the weathered time,bring on the body,originally painted in Cameo White whit black stripes on the hood

the car is all original, Frank has only refresh the details a little bit over ruined as the chromed trim

for be an old survivor car the conditions are great.At this time Frank had been very lucky...was missing the external mirrors ,and antenna is new

the wheels are repainted (center part) and new tyres replaced,also the bagde previous stolen!

the engine (L-30) 400 V8 da 360 Hp,running yet good so Frank has only changed the air intake pipes,with new in aluminum

the inerior with black strato bucket, was clean so Frank has left so...In conclusion an easy work for Frank this time, but the results are appreciable...the door are open... someone would to drive?

Another jump in the Chevy world by Frank!

At this time he show us a new work just ready!:Impala year 1958 for polish our eyes

at this time he has prepared a special personal version for this super-icon from the past...
originally find in bad condition, as usual he looking for... rusted blue colored,totally to restore.

Frank rolled up their sleeves again....First time after a total sanding...he has painted the body with a new tuxedo black,added a red profiles stripes for give a diabolic apperance!

rebuilding this car he thought about the customizing from guys of the 60thies
at the back he has changed all the rear lights,(and this he has re-built by hand)

under the hood has placed a 348 c.i. (Super Turbo Trust) with a maual gear shift on the floor (Syncro -Mesh 3) clean and full-bodied and also an original option for the 58'the maximum performance for the past(in that year).
this engine have 315 hp

the interior the Frank pride: leather bi-tone red & black,total redone,also new carpet and new dashboard..total new!

two dice lucky charm take his place at the rear mirror...on the floor the long shifter..

one can see on the body also the new logos at his place...

no more original wheels but rally wheels with oversized tyres fo more grip

a front view as a devil in the desert ranch...ready to haunt his victims...

a detail applied on the rear glass: a bad dog...but really? bite my dust!

Another tour... same Frank's friend ranch,this exposure is for show a new Frank's work

Frank has discovered this heirloom as ever in a junkyard...very lucky!

the car now bright with his new black paint...as Mercury mum had made

the perfect side view with the special fenderskirt...the car is very magnificent and express a sublime design,many customizer take inspiration for this model for build hotrods as Sam Barris as one of the first..you know?

In this front view this Mercury Eight,expresses all of his class..maybe all of the pics was taken in front of a manor!

the back view with a particular exhaust pipes,called "fishtail"a detail very cool as some hot rods

under the hood snoring sly the classic flathead common for this kind of old cars

the interior now all new as usually Frank prepare,he has choice a two tone colour grey and blue that give more elegance at this model

Frank've found with extremely luck,this Ford coupè 1949. The conditions were desperate,the car were found in a factory field,completely disassembled,burned many parts lost...but a good idea goes followed...So Frank took it home.

After a long work with his hands he show us this (almost) perfect work,seen the poor conditions of finding

the body totally welded with new metal sheet....a long work of carpentery...repainted with a special color from a color chart of '49 for Ford trucks called :"Strata Blue" ....yes -yes he know that it's incorect for the car but Frank said in my ear that's one of his special features!!

B/W photographs for improving the car look, and give the impression to give a jump in the past

The trunk is empty but all new lined and has the all-new "plaid" vinyl cover

the rear end with chromed side finiture typical for coupè model,while on the bussiness model were missing.

a detail and a curiosity,the car is from Oregon (as licence plate show) Frank for maintain the originality has used an (used part) rear window from Oregon car with an old stiker on.

the engine a typical Flathead 239 ci was replaced (missing in the model found) with all new,and now back to life this Ford

open hood under the Arizona sun...

the interior it has been very hard to replace 'case completely missing ,but after a lot of Frank's sleepless nights it has finished with pride

Now the car at Ranch entrance is ready to riding again the huge prairies and beyond ...

CHEVROLET NOVA SS 327 1966

The summer is ended (more or less) and Frank is back with another of his restoration cars!!

as we can see he show us another special car a 1966 Chevy Nova SS

unearthed in a Junkyard near to Bismark (ND) in a good condition but a little messy for body

Frak have re painted all the body with a sweetly (as a vanilla cream) "lemonwood yellow"

then he have put white line tyres and special chromed rims for give a classic appearance at this Nova

the rear end immaculate with his new SS logo on the chromed frame,also the new exhaust pipe that come out to the undercarriage are new, for a new sound sweet to listen

a particular the licence plate frame and the original plate of the 66' from ND where the car was found!!black&white photographs it's better ... for done a jump in the past with the mind!

The engine a Turbo Fire 327 with 350 prancing american horses!the engine was still in good condition but Frank obviously have cleaned all parts and added some special items as usually he does

the door panel had yet the oil control labels...Frank leaved it for more originality at the car

The interior vinyl black has been restored and cleaned, now it's as new of factory,also here Frank has added some special parts as the new shifter (for manual gear)

Also the additional gauges under the dash are added by Frank

the key is inserted , is enough a turn for another trip in the past and in the Frank's world!

Frank still works despite the holiday at the gates,show us a true Nova SS 396,and show it at the famous annual muscle car contest to his surrounding.

take it from a Michigan junkyard...he has restored completely this nice muscle.

he has repainted totally the body with one of his preferred colors:“Fathom green poly”

under the hood pulse now and yet the big 396 ci refreshed (it was find in not so in bad conditions),with new heads,and camshaft...also the carburetor it has been changed,and more all parts needed.

the interior is all new:carpet,dash,gauges and the shift on the floor with 4 manual gear...also the floor mats by Mr.Horsepower

the back with his fastback line typical for the age when this "muscle" was build..Frank has added four chromed rims with special tires "Eagle"..kind of consuetude for all performance cars of the time...

At this time before the summer holidays,Frank show us one of his last one work...a Chevelle ss 454 1972...rare and survivor from the 70'.

The car arrived to Frank almost perfect conservate.

In this pics...the car in the garage with some Frank's prefered revue on the hood...maybe publishing will hits...

Frank has done a few work for this car...a polished for the matted color..pewter silver poly...a new double exaust biggered with a 2½” diameters...the usually Frank's touch...

the interior was perfect with his bucket seats Black Elk (code:704)

the engine a rare (for the year when this car was produced) 454 with 270 hp, and more rare the shift on the floor with 4 manual gear..

another interior view...with the splendid conservation,simply and sporty at the some time...

1967 for this new Frank's work...Chevy Chevelle ss 396 325 hp under the hood simply and best.

Found almost complete as junkyard yewel,but necessary a total complete restore.
Painted in deepwater blue poly it's a good seen.

The Back side typical for this model year with vertical tail light,and black matte panel for ss version.(was also available after buyed)

The engine a classic 396 c.i with green wires by Frank,was to keep all the original features of historic vehicle

Frank has placed a new interior with this special color leather blue,in the floor the shift with the manual gear

Frank show his new creature long the route 66 -Az- one of most beautiful place for him...a special car for a special land.

DODGE SUPER BEE 1969

Another spring day..another "bee" this one survivor in bad condition for the weathered age. Frank has hard work for replacing this car at the original condition for some stuff added...Frank way!

after a complete sanding frame he have paint the car in a "rally green" very bright! but this is no sufficient for Frank..so he think...why don't added a white vinil roof ? for give a very sportful appearance? so it's done!

on the sides he have added a typical R/T version air scoop... Cragar whees dark grey/chromed very raging

the hood in fiberglass very light (for best performance) on the roof...

the threatening aspect of the "snout"-grille

under the hood the 440 "six pack" with 400 horsepower by Frank...guaranted!

the upgrade it was very industrious...but the results it's under your look.

another Frank touch...the double exaust very bigger! he love the smooth sound of the V8...he-he-he!

the interior completely replaced in withe...bench seat for driving this super car!

what else say?...with the previous bee (1970) he have done a complete tour view in "spring time" for very performance cars!

The summer beginning! and Frank at this time have prepared a superlative "super-stock" Dodge super bee 1970!

painted "banana yellow" with "C" black stripes, stock rims also yellow with a simply hubcap

absolutely sportful without frills! !in this pic,it's possible see the new grille released for the 70thies called "bumble bee wings" not so popular when released but a must today

under the hood a 440 six pack with 390 hp....untouched..in this case perfect so

the rear view,simply with characteristic red line frame...and the dual exaust...with a lovely noise

Frank show his new creature at the annual contest near his home...and what better opportunity to do so? a couple of beers, music and sun and fun is guaranteed ... and why not? also some nice chick!!!

Frank does not mind spending this time and prepares us for a car without equal ... a unique real Shelby/AC Cobra 427 ...

The car dated 1965 has been completely disassembled sand blasted and checked in detail. Repainted silver with black stripes, sporty and fierce ...

Here a back view

Frank has spared nothing ... the 427 that is under the hood with what looks like a thunder tube 2 in 1 (designed by Frank) ... that is the mouth of a cannon!

The black leather interior, with new "Bucket seats ... and a fire extinguisher in the center tunnel .. safety in this case is never underestimated.

The central cannon mouth....and gives a 'somewhat unusual and uncommon effect.

The 'upgrade' continues with 4 disc brakes and 4 rims 21 "tires with super-low, the mirror tint on the body ... replacing the two rear lights with a typical" in a single lens. "

Roll bar reinforced and prepared by Frank in matt black.

A car clean design but at the same time "full of evil" for anyone who wants to challenge you!

CHEVELLE SS 454 1970

Frank show us another month work...he have found this Chevelle 1970 SS...like usually he enjoy the tour for found this kind of junkyard yewel in his surroundings...this time was lucky,the car was in good condition...and the work to restore it was not so hard.

for first time he have clean and repaint completely the body,with mulsanna blue poly,with withe stripes

the interior is redone in black...obviously what the time and weather had ruined

under the hood we find a 454-LS 6 with 450 hp option totally refreshed...rare option also for the 1970!

the rear end with the two exhaust pipes more bigger than original for a better sound...the rear window is obscured, a classic Frank's touch...for details...

in this pics the car is ready, parking in the Frank showroomfloor waiting for a buyer.....and will not be so hard to find one!

Chevelle SS 1966 by Frank, another job,another restored...this is a Chevy all redone to Maisto Diecast 1/24 like usually not so good,but Frank it's here from improving it with his hands...or at least tries

For first thing, he have sanded the body,and then he have repainted in a "Cypress Green Metallic"

at the rear end the new double exaust pipes

inside a strong point of this restoration,all redone in al minimal parts,optional gauges down the dash included... two tone code 712 ~ Medium Fawn/Light Fawn Imitation Leather it's the raplaced by Frank in this combination color agreements with exterior color...

the original wheel and hubcap replaced with a rally wheels more sporty combination for appearance of this SS car...

Under the hood the classic 396 with some parts added by Frank for give more realism at this engine...

another pick up another usefull truck...by Frank

at this time Frank has restored an old stepside...originally found in a cream color really rusted..he has sanded all the body and has replaced with this bi-tone color red/white...

for check his work ,he would tried to an hard way to value the results...a snowed north road....for confortable driving he mounted snow tires

the interior give a warm welcome...in all restored seats......in all restored seats,also in bi-tone tissue color

the rear end with the stop- gate,for don't leave something on the road during the travel !!!...he had some presents for his friends..

maybe the tyres it's not correct for the '55 the white line it's over narrow for a kind of those year...

At this time Frank would to refresh and improve an old project of his previous done: Ford Mustang alredy done in bad results.(in the previous post).

He have used an new instruments to his hands,aluminium sheet for all trim,and then,he have lift up the rear axle for give more sinuosity and lightly at the car.
he have leave the" wire wheels" on the axis,although he had thought to change with another kind...

He have used an new instruments to his hands,aluminium sheet for all trim: glasses frame,interior and trim on the body...

the car it is remained with his color but now Frank have added a single silver stripe on all car lenght (polypropilene ribbon used usually for graphics work ).

the rear glass now is obscured,with a really sheet for glass cars

the grille has now with two headlamps like Shelby look

the interior was totally replaced tan color not so usually to see in reality,it was with a new steering wheel,handmade (oversized in originally diecast),safety belts with grip on the roof,all trim in aluminium,carpet,and floor mats tone on tone.

For calling this Mustang GTA you can see the shifter (handmade in lead) on the console.

at this time Frank it's more happy,for this restoration,also if the car by Maisto it's not so good,but he think to have done a good work althought...the improving should be with another Mustang car!

At this time Frank has prepared another Chevy classics from 50's,it's ready to run but he have loaded on a trailer for a visit in the north to some his friends,North Dakota for precision one of preferred Frank's country!

it's not the first one that he have restored...but this is for himself... a pick up may be ever useful!!!

now observing the truck we can say it's almost new...sorry without almost...the liberty that Frank have taken for painting this Chevy ,it's change of the color chip,now taken from a 54' color chart: "Skyline blue"

Frank seemed a good idea to present this chevy in the snow to get a good photo dynamic, contrast, white blue board is minimal ..

the fog headlights like vintage...but it's allowed he thought....it's yet functional

some particulars,like the sticker on the windshield,and the b/w pics give more idea for the passed time,on this sheet...

interior simple and clear,only the floor mat was added...

Our Frank wanted to give a light touch "custom" with a style not too showy but "class" and vintage interiors cleverly set " like exit from the factory", now have the touch of a bi-tone colors, the seats in simil leather material are now red and black , very warm and slightly evil!

Il nostro Frank ha voluto dare un leggero tocco "custom " con stile, gli interni non troppo appariscenti, ma "di classe" e vintage, sapientemente riportati allo splendore di fabbrica, ora hanno il tocco in colore bi-tono, i sedili in materiale sky sono diventati rossi e nero, molto caldo e un po diabolici!

CHEVELLE SS 1969

FOREWORD

For 1969, the SS 396 became an option package on all Chevelles. Therefore, it was possible for the SS 396 package on everything from the Malibu sport coupe (the most popular) and convertible to the Chevelle 300-series hardtop coupe and columns, and the El Camino pick up. All Chevelles has a new style that includes new taillights. The 396 came in 325, 350, and 375bhp tune but still suffered from inadequate treatment of four connection speeds. Towards the end of 1969, the model, the 396 bored out to 402 cubic engines, reportedly to meet new emission standards. The official name and power have not changed and the Chevelle SS remained one of the most popular muscle car era. Of particular interest to drag the drivers has been the availability 'of a number of limited edition Chevelles. Known as COPO Chevelles, these Chevelle were specially ordered from the factory by certain dealers or well-connected customers with standard L72 427 V8 rated at 425bhp. An estimated 323 Chevelle COPO 427S were built, all of which were often devoid of badges or other indications of the power that resided underneath.

Production: 86,307

Engines: 396 V8 325bp @ 4800rpm, £ 410-ft @ 3200rpm. L34 396 V8 350bhp @ 5200rpm, £ 415-ft @ 3600. L78 396 V8 375bhp @ 5600rpm, £ 415-ft @ 3600 rpm. COPO 427 V8 425bhp @ 5600rpm, £ 460-ft @ 4000 rpm.

Performance: L78 396/375: 0-60 in 6.5 sec, 1 / 4 mile in 14.5 sec @ 100 mph.

CAMARO SS 396 1968

FOREWORD

Chevy introduced its successful drive Camaro built in 1967 and rated on a platform "Nova" by creating a "pony car" to them and other manufacturers in particular to rival the Ford Mustang. To make the car attractive options were available about 80 works by more than 40 dealer; 4 engines were available (there 283-302-327-396) and 3 different types of construction RS/SS/Z28 first two could be "mixed" supplied with the order by buying a RS RS SS but had priority.

The "body" was available in both coupe and convertible.

Comments: The 1968 has received minor changes for the second year. The grid has assumed a more horizontal, while the windows were removed, and mouth "Astro Ventilation" (ie, flow through ventilation) was added. The side marker lamps are added, while the SS396 received revised chrome cap (the style was SS350s 1967). Below, the 1967 Camaro annoying tramp pin was treated with the addition of multi-leaf rear springs to replace the units and single leaf rear shock absorbers are now staggered. A new 350bhp 396cid option for the SS was added.

Il “body” era disponibile sia coupè sia convertibile.
Osservazioni: Il 1968 ha ricevuto modifiche di lieve entità per il secondo anno. La griglia ha assunto un aspetto più orizzontale, mentre la bocca finestre sono state eliminate e "Astro ventilazione" (cioè il flusso attraverso la ventilazione) è stato aggiunto. Le luci di posizione laterali sono stati aggiunti, mentre la SS396 ricevuto rivisto cappuccio inserti cromati (i SS350s rimasto con lo stile 1967). Sotto, il 1967 Camaro fastidiosi tramp perno è stato curato con l'aggiunta di multi-posteriore molle a balestra a sostituire le unità singola foglia e ammortizzatori posteriori sono ora scaglionati.
