CHEVELLE L79 m.y 1968

Frank shows us with true pride of passionate a "must", a 1968 Chevelle L79, a lot of work and a lot of effort to bring back to life what he considers one of the best Chevelle. The car was found during one of his research looking for an SS, the particularity but he took over and here the decision to restore this L79.

The engine was in good condition and only a good starting point was enough to make its 350 hp still roar. Frank has overhauled the gearbox that boasts the 4-speed option! And to complete it all, he has a Hurst lever that stands out in the middle of the bench-seat. Complete the work the original exhaust that appears curved from under the bumper.

Externally the Chevy was not set very well (‘cause cloned SS), Frank wanted to prepare it by having to dismantle it all. First thing was to mount its original hood without the air scoop crowning, eliminated the chrome moldings of the SS proceeded to prepare the bodywork and give it the original color that was a very special two tone: Teal Blue (lower) and Island blue (upper) a fantastic color that gives a sense of peace (like a duck in a pond) get at that car that give few sense of peace. Changed the grid with an original chrome not black (ss).

Set orange turn lights instead of the white ones (SS option), removed from the rear of the black band leaving the body color on the plate where the long badge was added. Frank has put the original rims as simple and colorful as the bodywork, tires with red line make it so sporty. A simple car without too many frills with a latent charm of those who only love the Chevelle can appreciate.

The car internally was well set up, bench-seat, deluxe interiors that are recognized by the panels with chrome and satin finish line, black and gray for the upholstery fabrics. Dashboard complete with standard central rev counter, seat belts, radio and air conditioning.
Hurst lever that stands out in the middle of the bench-seat. Complete the work the original exhaust that appears curved from under the bumper.

For Frank the best Chevelle ever made.

CHEVROLET CHEVELLE MALIBU SS 1965

Frank has prepared a special car, a Malibu SS m.y 1965, let's say almost a rarity. Restored remaining as faithful as possible to the original, Frank, however, has added some details.

Painted in Ermine white, he has prepared the interiors (Medium Blue Pattern Imitation Leather) in a metallic blue with a dark blue central part in fake leather, an aluminum center console and a "muncie" gear lever on a three-speed manual transmission.

The particular thing, however, is the engine, Frank wanted to put a 396 instead of the 327 that should have been there, Frank wanted to have in his hands that single Malibu SS Z16 convertible built in 1965 and even if so a clone is a clone of the all special!

Frank then put special 16-inch wheels with lowered tires and disc brakes to stop this beast properly.

Now the Chevelle is ready, the surf in the back seat seems to announce that the holidays are coming, bringing Frank back to that far summer in 1965 where showing off this "muscle" along the beaches was a source of pride.

Frank show us to this wonderful Oldsmobile Super 88 1955 convertible, a compact and elegant car with a charm to sell.

A splendid car that shows off on the driveway of a house in the south of the States

The car came out of Frank's hands, perfect in every detail; at the rear wheel arches the fender skirt that connects the wheel with the bodywork making the car slender upward as if it were taking off, perfect chromed parts that makes it solar.

Skilfully colored two tones in the "flying colors" style of Oldsmobile with the blue Bimini and the Polar white, just as much for the interiors as double the double tone, including the dashboard.

Under the hood the V8 324 c.i Rocket painted again in green, scratches with its 202 HP an engine that for the moment has burnt the asphalt! Frank is enthusiastic and reminds us that this car was one of the forerunners of the "muscle cars" that will arrive a decade from there.

This model / year was a real success, about 600 thousand cars that will be a record for the Oldsmobile brand for the ten years after '55 and that for the joy of Frank another has been saved from oblivion!

CHEVROLET IMPALA SW 1964

Frank has in his hands a classic Impala class 1964, just finished shows us this work in particular that it is a station wagon. Frank has completely restored it except for the timeless 409 engine.

The car was painted Almond fawn metallic a "fine" silver Which embellished by the double tone : the roof is white.

Externally Frank has added a couple of options such as the "mudguards" on the rear fenders to make the rear end and the roof rack racy to make this full-size as well as beautiful.

The engine has not been replaced but overhauled, it is Turbo Fire 409 c.i 400 hp with a change in the steering wheel a huge torque and an almost disproportionate power.

For the interiors Frank opted for a double tone between the medium metallic blue and the white, a very well-chosen exterior interior contrast; Inside we find 6 comfortable seats and a huge trunk. The air conditioning completes the comfort of this wonderful Chevy flagship.

Frank the photographer ready to go to the beach, a surf on the roof ... someone is ready to ride the waves and the road again with this classic Impala.

The newly-restored Mustang is the so-called 1964½ (because it came out on the road in mid-1964), Frank has wanted to keep the exact originality of when it was ordered; painted winbledon white with black interior, a simple color combination that stands out the line of this icon on wheels.

The black interior is simple and essential: bucket seats and three-spoke steering wheel, they are what Iacocca had imagined, a car with multiple interpretations of those who would have driven it sporty or elegant. The change on the floor shows a novelty for the American user accustomed to changing the steering wheel on low-cost cars, while here he wanted to give the impression of having in his hands a car of a higher level.
The only option installed is the "factory model" air conditioning for a more faithful restoration and to stay cool.

Externally we find wheels with white band on rim covered by an elegant full-rim chrome rim. Badges 260 on the front fenders identify that this Mustang is a V8 "base" (engine block black instead of blue) with 164 hp under the hood, might look a few but the Mustang is lightweight and can ensure an honest driving fun.

Frank has on his hands a real full size: 1958 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, a magnificent car and Frank say that could be better than a Caddy.

Unique combination of a sports car and a luxury car, it seems strange to say so for a car so huge but it was 58 and everything was huge.
A machine with a fresh and youthful design able to amaze a large owners (a pact to have a well-garnished wallet n.d.r)

Painted two tone: Mallard torquoise iridescent poly (dark) and Marlin torquoise for the sides give a chromatic combination of the favorites of Frank, even the interior has the same color, with the central coating type sport.

Under the hood the 300-hp tri-power pulses angrily, so much so that the car can be played at sporting speed despite its weight

The car is perfect with plenty of options: two-tone leather interior, radio, air conditioning, double mirrors and a continental kit so as to make it exceed five meters; rims with white band tires, antenna on the rear fender, this is a sport also by virtue of the name it bears.

A true blaze of chrome that brings us back to the 50 years of luxury and opulence, those that few could afford but this is also America.

For this project we’re started from a Welly diecast Chevelle 1971, the main idea was to modify a convertible into a fastback version…a model not yet on production.

The big work it was adding a new roof and guess the right dimension!

Frank in the restoration has thought a streamlined and essential line without too many frills.

Painted in burnt Orange the car is really beautiful as an Arizona sunset.

FORD 1938 RAT ROD

At this time, I’m started from a Ford coupe 1940 by Motor Max diecast 1/24,the model was poor in details and with some errors, the grille incorrect as the bucket seats and custom steering wheels, and front lights

For this I’ve used the salt chipping method for give a realistic wheatered aspect at the body car (green painted), then I’ve modified the front with a new grille that arrive long the engine scoop and put the new wheatered chromed details, modified the front lights

I’ve disassembled completely the car, I’ve prepared a new engine (ford 427 supercharged ) for change the flatehead positioned under the hood…during the work I thought… why no try to prepare a rat rod? I thought of the model of ford that was closer to the model and I thought of the 38 '

Inside I’ve change everything now there’s a bench seat new door panel new banjo steering wheels and I’ve build a new dashboard (aluminum made). I’ve also put new interior coverings like the carpet

I've change the windshield with trim opening, I’ve prepared also the trunk with carpet and interiors details.

New large and loud exhaust pipes appear under the body rear’s.

I’ve change the wheels with others steel made and different tires rear/front .

eliminated bumpers for get more aggressive look.

my intention it has been have a junk car...but with a hidden power.

JEEP J10 HONCHO 1981

I start this work with an old diecast model by “Hot Wheels” from early 80’s, found in a model exhibition event ,the model is poor in detail and poor in plastic quality, not styrene or similar but a plastic like PE or PP, hard to work in the intention to modifying it.

The door are without window frame, the mirrors are big and bad moulded, the wheels are preposterous, tail light wrong for this stepside model, total absent the undercarriage details, the axles only few outline; the interior poor and made also here with soft plastic hard to work especially for the dash.

I’ve modified all the parts mentioned for give at this diecast an honorable aspect, and change it from “ vintage toys” replacing it as vintage and rare model at least… I hope.

First step was disassembling the model and rebuild the undercarriage…I’ve added the frame, the transmission tree, the front and rear axle, the reduction gear and his axle then I’ve add the engine and gear bottom . I’ve put the double exhaust system and put also suspension , on the rear axle “King” and at the front two “Monroe" springs . I’ve added also the protection for the engine ad the gasoline trunk .

More is over I thought, so I’ve passed to prepare the door glass frame…thought be easy, I’ve discoverer that wasn't … I’ve had to eliminate the false frame in the Honcho’s body and try to set the new frame (attached at the door) in the right position…hard done but done..

At the rear I’ve “chromed” the bumper and I’ve modified it with rebuilding the step (not present before ) where is applied the license plate.

The front grille it has been “chromed” and modified with get insertion new direction lenses on the bottom, also added extra lights mount on the bull bar. Rebuilded the tail lights ‘cause the mould on the body was incorrect; other change it had been add new wheels and tires the now are good on the lifted axles.

After this I’ve prepared the interior where I’ve put the carpet I’ve put new upholstery (two tone)at the seats ad put the central arm rest/seat; new steering wheel, radio, new glass for the windshield and the back glass, added the sun visor and the interior mirror plus the dome light. For the cluster I’ve holed the dash then putty and fix with new panel instrument, on the rear pillar now the safety belts. A lot of work is taken for prepare the interior doors panel rebuild totally ( the original was only mould on the door and not so good) now is present the glass crank, the door opener, the arm rest and the air grille.

Doors now have new door handles (before only shape) and new truck mirrors. The body (sanded) is paint with a new burgundy color, aerial and licenses plate complete this Honcho…now pictured in his natural landscape.

FORD F-1 1949

Frank has restored a new means, a 1949 F1 pickup, found in a discreet condition at a workshop, took him home with intentions to hold him tight.

To say to him a common but very reliable means from here the desire to keep it in order to enrich his collection. The medium was polished to make the color shine under the dust and opaque of the years: "arabian green", a beautiful dark green.

Frank had to revisit the mudguards that had some dents and some rusty holes in preparing them, thinking of coloring them in black to have a nice contrast with the dark green of the body and having a two-tone pickup.

The interior was cleaned just because the bench was covered with new brown vinyl, like the cabin sky. An alternative alternative to this medium is the long handbrake lever that is at the center of the booth (not standand option).

The load floor has been restored with new walnut planks and polished aluminum reinforcements; the rims were repainted with the color of the bodywork and new white wall tires were fitted, making this vehicle very elegant. The engine itself, with only 40,000 mls run, 226 c.i. 6 small cylinders but with 95 honest horses. The "restoration" also included a chromed "bundle" for bumper and post bumper and mirrors. Only "license" but in the end is the usual "touch of Frank" is the Tan frontal color (typical of 1948) instead of the silver one, but by Frank's greatest contrast made!

Frank presents us a luxury survivor: the Lincoln Convertible Premiere of 1956. It came in splendidly bold conditions of the fifties.

It is chrome-plated and specially made by that futuristic special design, typical of those who designed cars in those years without fear of experiencing and dare by putting on a car road today Frank says that they are real art forms.

Roses are roses and wisteria is a particular color of pink just that Lincoln wanted to elegantly match a car with a romance tone.

The top is white and the interiors resemble the outside color. Elegant white-style wheels seem to want to continue the tone on tone and the unmistakable style of this full-size.

Under the hood the Y Block, runs idle with the borbottio of 275 horses ready a step longer than being due to American iron.

Frank presents us a Ford F100 model year 1954 with a fascinating location behind, an old Shell gas station in Arizona along the highway that Frank run often.

Frank has worked hard, the vehicle was completely disassembled, many parties needed to be replaced and rebuilt many, especially in sheet metal.

The grille was reconstructed almost in its entirety without being replaced to maintain the originality of the piece. The body was first sandblasted painted in "Cadet blue" and the roof was painted in white, the color chosen is not the most common products, but according to Frank exquisitely elegant

The rims are the original paintings in blue with chrome rim and boss on which sparkle tires "white wall". Frank left on the rear platform of the wooden banks to remind what use this wonderful F100 was intended

Under the hood beats back the original unit, the Y-Block 279 c.i cleverly cooled by an all parts control

The interior has been completely redone by Frank bringing them to the new, even for the inner blue it is the predominant color, the steering wheel has been replaced due to the wear and Frank reassures us on taking in the guide.

Now the exaust pipes are double, for good american sound

All the details have been carefully tended, Frank is pleased to have reported on the road once again a piece of the american history

The Lincoln-Zephyr brand was introduced in 1936 as a cost content over the Lincoln brand; It was introduced to bridge the gap between the number of Ford V8 deluxe and top range of Lincoln, as the LaSalle brand was Cadillac. The Zephir cars were the first after the failure of Chrysler Airfolw to have an aerodynamic successful style.

Frank was eager to try this beautiful vintage cars on the road, not so much for the car itself but for what it was throbbing under the hood: a 4.8-liter V12 flatehead perfectly functioning expertly prepared properly.

The sweet unusual noise has left Frank startled while conducting this jewel on the sunny lands of Arizona, and thanks to aerodynamics the speed seemed to above the expectations of the most avid driver.The car m.y 1941 has arrived in the hands of unexpected Frank a real opportunity and in excellent conditions.

The red leather interior were excellent and they have not changed, the simplicity of this car is also essential in the dashboard with round dials and give a strange feeling to those who sit behind the wheel to drive almost an airplane

Chevrolet pickup K line - 1972

Frank has a great passion for 4x4 pickups and proves it with one of his last works.

This time it is dedicated to a Chevrolet K10 in 1972. The vehicle has undergone a complete renovation to the body, which was painted totally black, to streamline this color are the faux wood trim along the side and on the tailgate.

But this might seem trivial to an experienced mechanic as Frank, in fact, what really matters is what's under the chassis, here Frank exaggerated completely redoing the bridges; First, a lift of 15 inches for all terrain, has repositioned broadcasts and has put heavy-duty shock absorbers on both axes.

The rear differential is reinforced and the front have disappeared crossbows replaced with independent springs.

Additional lights on the front grille and visible every obstacle in extreme situations, under the rear bumper a fog light to be seen and marker lights on the roof to give more visibility to this truck .

Furthermore, a reinforced plate under the cup seems to make unassailable heart of this K10. side steps help the climb into the cab and truck-style mirrors complement the uniqueness of this vehicle.

This vehicle should ensure the climbing of any obstacle because Frank has mounted a pair of truly large tires for both off-road vehicle (given the groove in plug) both the seal on the width of the tire road view, all on beautiful circles chromium by 15 inches.

The deck is protected by a cover dedicated deck with Chevy logo, driven by electric piston to keep protected objects that are charged.

The internal combustion engine 350 did not undergo peculiar changes if not the replacement of the cover aluminum valves and the installation of a more powerful air filter.

The interior is of a beautiful black villain ... lacking inserts faux wood and despite being an Cheyenne as a version of interior finishes, the lack of wood trim denote that the year 1972 was at the end when this pickup left the factory, because they were removed from Chevy production.

Frank was bound to have in his hands a piece of American history and for this service offers us a magnificent and distinctive model T Ford Touring m.y. 1925 .

Frank has unearthed at a museum in the process of restoration and renewal and bargaining here for this very dated 4 doors in its collection

The shots are taken at the lizzie arrived at the Frank garage, the long road to get there was not really recommended it on wheels saw the age of the medium but Frank said that he had no doubts about its reliability in even grind hundreds of miles , moreover this Ford has moved half of America far and wide from the 20th century.

The car is a 4-door (touring) convertible with some special accessories including deflectors for air, toolbox on the running board, bellboy always the same, can be glimpsed inside a suitcase! Furthermore there is also the stock to the rear wheel.

The car is in excellent condition, totally black as usual, only the "hood" and the interior have some wear but the seats are original.

The engine beneath the covers is in excellent condition and snoring anchors as if it was his first day of ignition.

FORD COUPE' 1940

Frank presents a 1940 m.y Ford Coupe, sober and in good general condition. In front of his workshop captures with his camera this car survived the decades and came to Arizona without flaws.

Painted "Vermillion red" with fabric inside "gray" shows that in the years before the war was a small model of cars that accompanied the Americans in their travels.

The line of the back with his big trunk give a sense of clean design and only the chrome line on the sides of the curves denote the evidence just mentioned.

The grid is the major innovation for 1940 and in this model we see the importance, as if the car was a car of higher class.

The car has little need of restoration but a controlled motor which in this specific model is a V8 flatehead with 60 hp.

The dashboard as the rest of the car's minimalist-style art deco and leaves no room for frills or excesses optional.

A turn of the key and this Ford is back on the road!

Chevrolet C 10 ( Cheyenne Super ) 1972

Frank wants to enjoy a little 'relaxation reaching a cottage in the Pennsylvania woods, to do it and not to disprove anything, does it on one of his latest creations : Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 1972 an excellent way with a good deck.

The Cheyenne was painstakingly restored as is the custom of Frank, the version is the Super, top of the line for this versatile pickup.

The medium has undergone a total repainting bi-tone, the classic white accompanied by "green gulf poly" that make this pickup unusual and delicate eye of the attentive observer.

The wood grain trim on the sides and tailgate are distinctive version of the Cheyenne and together the exterior bi-tone painting get it really wonderful.

The interior details are rich and in tone with the outside: green.

The set paints chosen by Frank for this restoration got does not go unnoticed.

Inside is the air conditioning, the FM radio and the bench seat for long miles without tiring driving. Faux wood panels decorate the interior making the reception in the cabin like a car.

Manual transmission moves this vehicle everywhere.

The engine was replaced with a new unit 350 ci, we see it under the hood in its beautiful put orange with black heads, pulsating unstoppable to go all the miles that will be required.

Only element "custom" Frank is mounting :chrome wheels with tires increased denoting a note of additional grit, but sober, how he likes. .

Frank has done a great job his relax is well deserved!

Summer comes and parked on lake shore a beautiful Impala convertible model year 1963,Frank take some shoots…the open roof show the original interiors.

Bucket seats, 4 speed manual gear on the floor..Frank think to an owner with sport attitude.

Carpet blue on tone with exterior color gave a special appearance for this car.

The car is an SS version by the badges on the body under the hood over 400 american horsepower!

But the painted color of the car (silver blue poly) and white wall tires gave an elegant touch at this car…

Probably this car is originally conserved from day of purchasing.

this time Frank is happy,’cause the holiday time on the lake don't give further work for his hands this car is perfect!
