Hire Catwalk Supplied For Nottingham Fashion Show

1st November 2012 saw FRASP at a Nottingham bar installing a catwalk for a charity fashion show. The event which was being organised by event management company RSVIP was being held at The Lacehouse in Nottingham's Lace Market area and required a catwalk that ran the full length of the bar area. FRASP installed a catwalk of 36' x 4' including a stair module and side skirt. Ultimately the stage was the perfect size for the event requirements and was finished to a high standard.

Line Array System Provided for Nottingham Arena Event

FRASP PA Hire have a wide range of hire speakers suitable for any event including line array systems for large scale events. The FRASP range of line array systems is based around the Hill M8 active loudspeaker and was recently used for a large scale event taking place at the Nottingham Captial FM Arena. The event which was being held by the Birmingham based Syro-Malabar Church expected around 6,00 people to attend and as such required a PA system capable of catering for such an audience. The Hill M8 line array system is perfectly engineered to provide the highest audio quality with unparralled sound distribution across large venues and as such was ideal for use at this event. FRASP Provide PA System for YMCA Nottinghamshire Live Event

The 20th July saw FRASP at the newly commissioned headquarters of the Nottinghamshire of the YMCA. The NGY building in central Nottingham houses a number of youth orientated services including the YMCA Nottinghamshire's YMCA Digital facility. YMCA Digital provides a number of creative services for Nottingham youth including a digital radio station, recording studio, production facilities and live room. To celebrate the launch of the YMCA Nottinghamshire digital radio station a day of activities at the new facility was organised culminating in a live music event featuring a number of Nottingham's most talented singers, songwirters and performers. The organisers were keen to make an impact at the event which was part of the Peace Mix Live music relay and as such contacted FRASP to hire a rnage of sound and lighting equipment to facilitate the event. FRASP supplied an OHM BR sub/sat PA system including all necessary amps, mixing console, microphones and stage monitors to cater for the live music. FRASP also installed a complete lighting rig featuring PAR cans, strobes and haze machine to create the perfect atmosphere at the event. FRASP are continuing the heavy investment in our PA system hire range with the inclusion of the OHM BR-10 compact loudspeaker. The BR-10 is the sister unit to the BR-15 that has been used so successfully by FRASP for the past 6 months and is ideal for smaller scale vocal events such as conferences or public address events. The BR-10 contains a powerful 10" driver and 1" compression driver ensuring it has both the power and sound quality to cater for most small scale applications. The small physical footprint demonstrated by the BR-10 means it is ideal for events where minimal aethetic impact is required such as conferences or corporate events. FRASP were contacted by the organisers of the Derby Oxjam live music charity event on the afternoon of Thursday 12 July as they required a live sound PA system. Having been let down by their previous supplier the organisers were aware of how short notice their request was but FRASP were able to provide a quote and supply a complete live sound PA system to cater for the 200 strong audience. The event which was one of hundreds of live music events taking place across the country, was designed to promote and raise funds for Oxfam via the medium of live music. Sunday 10 June 2012 saw FRASP at the Notts County Ground on Meadow Lane, Nottingham supplying a live sound PA system for an event being held by the Nottingham Christian Centre. The One Church event was designed to bring local Christian Centre groups together and featured live music performances, presentations and services. The event hosted around 1000 people in a large marquee erceted on the Meadow Lane pitch and as such FRASP supplied a large scale live sound PA system to cater for this. The system was based around the OHM BR speakers and included all speakers, amplifiers, a 32 channel mixing console, processing equipment and cabling. Continuing our ongoing association with East Midlands Trains, FRASP were again providing PA system hire support for their latest event which was a train naming ceremony at Sheffield railway station. The train was remaned The Sheffield Star after the local newspaper and the event involved a number of speeches by East Midlands Trains and Sheffield Star executives. FRASP were onsite to install a vocal PA system on one of the station platforms complete with a handheld radio microphone. As the event was taking place in a working railway station FRASP had to operate to very strict working practises so's not to contravene health and safety directives. Also FRASP had to be highly flexible to ensure the equipment was in the correct location at the time of the event.

Outdoor live sound PA system now available from FRASP

In line with our core vision FRASP have continued to expand our hire range with high quality PA system equipment by introducing a specialised large scale outdoor PA system to our inventory.

The system which was recently used at the Ashbourne Jubilee Picnic Celebration consists of a four way front of house speaker system made up of four JBL loaded cabinets per side, equating to approximately 10Ks worth of music power. Power comes from a bank of five Crown XTi amplifiers to ensure smooth, continuous drive and depending on the application the system can be supplied with a 32 channel Allen & Heath 3300 mixing console and processing equipment.

15K Outdoor PA Rig Provided For Ashbourne Jubilee Celebration Event

FRASP PA Hire topped off a business jubilee weekend by providing PA and lighting equipment and technical support for the Ashbourne Jubilee celebration. The event which took place on Monday 4 June on the Ashbourne Recreation Ground consisted of a range of attractions which attracted around 4000 people over the course of the day.

The event concluded with live performances by a range of artists and FRASP were onsite to provide a live sound system capable of catering for up to 4000 people in an outdoor environment. To ensure sufficient sound coverage FRASP installed our specialised 15K live sound rig which consists of a four way JBL loaded front of house speaker system powered by 13k worth of Crown amplification power. A 32 channel Allen & Heath mixing console was also supplied to give us all the channels required to cater for the bands which consisted of a folk rock band, a swing band and a local rock band. On stage monitoring came in the form of four 2 way L2 wedges and the microphone selection included Shure, AKG and Audio Technica models.

FRASP also provided a stage lighting rig consisting of six LED Par cans and a smoke machine all controlled by a 32 channel DMX desk.

The five man FRASP event team were onsite by 9am to fully install and sound check the system in time for the 6pm performance start time. FRASP sound engineers were also onsite to oversee the production of the event including mixing the sound and setting the stage between acts.

Overall the day was a great success with the organisers being extremely happy with the quality of the PA system and standard of FRASP's work.
