It may be obvious from this site that Frazier Media has had a significant change occur - we’ve been folded into a new company called Glued Ideas. Glued Ideas’ focus is to create new technologies that make identifying information that people are interested in easier. Our flagship product is Glue, a deep preference analysis engine that can be used by just about any site on the Internet to provide product or content recommendations to it’s users. Expect an open beta during the summer!

So what part does Frazier Media have in working with Glued Ideas? In addition to helping provide user interface design expertise and general guidance, we also have built their showcase blog network, Digital Photography Blogs, which will be the first place the Glue line of products will show up. This has been an exciting project and we have learned quite a bit about what makes a successful publishing network on the Internet. If you’re interested in Digital Photography Blogs, feel free to contact us for more information.

Oh - and make sure to check out Chris and his wife Amy’s blog, Shooting the Kids.

A Brand New CMS

On the development side of things, we implemented a content management system (CMS) for them that makes managing their site simpler. This particular CMS was created by Clarus Networks for Frazier Media and is being used on a number of other sites as well. One of the biggest advatnages of the Clarus CMS is that it allows for on page (but not inline) editing of content, making the process of learning to edit pages much easier than having to learn how to use a whole other tool for editing page content.

Keep your eyes open here for updates on the Clarus CMS - if things go well they may release it as Open Source so that developers all around the world can make use of their fine tool.
