Shabba-Doo, of the Original Lockers, has an instructional DVD set to be released Fall 2010 featuring Rino and Lockadelic.  According to the Shway Style 3D DVD description,

Don’t want to learn or master the technique but would love to explore the intimate passion? Then SHWAY STYLE 3D is for you! That’s right, learn sizzling RED-HAWT Waackin’, Punkin’ & Posin’ choreography created by the master himself, Adolfo “Shabba-Doo” Quiñones.

This whole set from Carnival is amazing!  I was able to see it live and the energy in the room was crazy.  But I need help describing the part from 0:36-1:08.  There isn’t a word in my vocabulary that does that part justice.   I can’t stop watching!  Can anyone think of a word besides amazing, sick, dope, ridiculous, etc?  Help me!

Freak the Fashion (FTF): How did you choose Rino for the cover of your February 2010 issue?
Image House Magazine (IHM): We chose Rino due to her growing diva status in the dance industry.

FTF: How would you describe Rino’s style?
IHM: Rino has an urban, fun yet girlie sense of fashion and an eclectic dance groove.

FTF: What can fans expect from the February 2010 issue?
IHM: You will get a chance to know Rino’s opinions and thoughts on a dancer’s fashion appeal. The issue is filled with fashion news and trends.

There were some really great performances last night on the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, including the 3D tribute to Michael Jackson performed by Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Hudson.  The one performance that had everyone talking was Pink’s high-flying rendition of “Glitter In The Air,” which earned her one of the largest standing ovations of the night.  Ryan Seacrest called it a “game-changing performance” in his early-morning radio show.  Of course, the Beat Freaks’ own Alison Faulk did an amazing job.

LindseyB was also part of the Black Eyed Peas performance that had the crowd dancing on their feet.  Can anyone spot Lindsey?

If you know the Beat Freaks, then you probably figured it was only a matter of time before an official Beat Freaks x Michael Jackson shirt was released. Well, that time has finally arrived. Initially the shirts were designed exclusively for the members of the Beat Freaks but are now being made available to fans. The new limited edition BFxMJ shirt, designed by YOVERX, will be available for purchase in the next few weeks.

The Beat Freaks performed at Choreographers Carnival last night with a mixed set of Love Comes Down choreography, the Hot N Cold section, and a new breakdancing set.  It’s not easy an easy task to impress a room full of dancers and choreographers but the Beat Freaks did just that.
