Chris and I are anxiously looking forward to attending the Virginia Food and Beverage Expo this Wednesday and Thursday in Richmond Virginia. Can anyone say “Road Trip”?

This will be our first year attending this particular show. We always attend the Fancy Food Show which was held in Washington, DC last year and will be again this year. It is one of the largest Food and Beverage Shows with thousands of vendors from all around the world. I know this show won’t be nearly as big but we are hopeful to discover other local vendors we can showcase here at The Frederick Basket Company.

Of course we will be sending your sneak peaks of what we find on our Facebook page throughout the two days and there will be plenty of Tweets as well! Please be sure to check in with us often. Last year at The Fancy Food Show we were lucky to run into President Obama (or at least his look alike LOL)! Who knows who we might run across in Richmond!

We are also going to check out the Wineries Unlimited Trade Show that just so happens to be going on next to the food and beverage expo. As you know we carry a huge selection of wine accessories here at The Frederick Basket Company and we are hoping to find some new and exciting products for the spring and summer!

We recently received a very nice letter from Technical Sergeant Michelle Gaudin, BOMD Video Skills Instructor, Bravo Team with the Defense Information School Ft. Meade, MD.

Dear Friends of The Frederick Basket Company,

On behalf of the BOMD video skills bravo team, please accept our sincere thanks for your recent  support of our student video documentaries. These projects are the culmination of the 75-day Basic Combat Correspondent Course and your assistance helped make these projects much more realistic. Many of the service members completing this course will serve in Iraq, Afghanistan or other deployed locations and will be tasked with telling the story of men and women from all walks of life doing a variety of jobs. The research they conducted before visiting the location combined with the time spent interviewing you and shooting video at your business gave them a realistic example of what they’ll be doing in the near future.

The documentaries are also shown at the class room graduation in front of students’ peers, instructors and families. Please know you are making a difference in assisting in training future military combat correspondents. We hope you enjoy watching their final projects, and again, our most sincere thanks for your support. It’s our hope we can work with you again in the future.
