Many of us have the same reasons for wanting to exercise and lose weight.....look better, feel better, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, decreased risk of some cancers, lower risk of heart disease, etc.

But did you know that making your waistline thinner will also make your wallet fatter?

It's true! Losing weight will help you earn and save more money. "Studies have consistently shown that obese employees are paid less than normal-weight employees doing similar jobs" (Source: HealthNewsDigest.com - Palo Alto, CA)

A comprehensive study of wages in 1998 found that obese workers earn significantly less than than non-obese employees. How much less? About $3.41 per hour. This discrepancy was found only in those workers who had employer-sponsored health insurance, perhaps suggesting that the higher costs of insuring obese individuals was being passed on to the employees themselves. (Source: Bundorf and co-author Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at the Center for Health Policy/Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research).

So it's possible that losing weight could eventually add substantially to your paycheck. But did you know that losing weight may also lower the amount of money you personally pay out in medical costs?

According to a study recently published in Health Affairs, obese Americans pay $732 more for health care each year than do normal-weight adults. So what would you do with an extra $732? Considering that $732 is more than double the annual cost of most gym memberships, it seems that joining a health club pays for itself.

We all have great reasons for wanting to lose that excess weight, and how we have two more: potentially higher wages and lower out-of-pocket medical expenses.

However, we do need to issue one word of warning.....when losing weight you may find that you need to spend some of that 'saved money' on a new wardrobe. After all, you will have to buy some new 'skinny' clothes!
Even more so, some blogs are absolute marketing machines, but they at the same time fail to fully capitalize on that fact by not being really optimized marketing-wise.Blogs may be Web 2.0, but bloggers should not ignore some of the good old internet direct marketing tactics that have been working for marketers online almost for a decade or more. Here are the absolute 101 basics you really shouldn't ignore ...

1. DON'T FORGET E-MAIL DELIVERY

Bloggers are often abandoning or completely ignoring e-mail as a tool to deliver their content to their readers. As an RSS evangelist I certainly believe in using RSS to get your content to the world, but only as a supplement to e-mail delivery.

While RSS provides us with many unique benefits, it is yet to reach mainstream adoption. Until it does, marketers and publishers should not even consider abandoning e-mail delivery, or risk ignoring most of their potential readership.

If you're still wondering why you need e-mail, consider the potential you might be wasting without it. Someone visits your blog, likes the content and would like to be notified as new content of interest becomes available, and he does not know what RSS is or even care. If you fail to capture his e-mail address and consent at that exact moment, he might never again return to your site, either because he forgets about it or because dozens of other sites capture his interest even before the next day.

2. E-ZINE PUBLISHING IS STILL A MUST

Publishing a blog is not a replacement for an e-zine. If nothing else, publish a weekly or monthly e-zine of your top blog posts, available in a single easy-to-consume format.

Some simply do not have the time to watch your blog regularly and others will only want to receive a quick summary to get only your best and most crucial content. Publishing an e-mail e-zine will do that for you, giving you the opportunity to communicate with the widest possible long-term audience for your blog.

3. E-MAIL AND RSS SUBSCRIPTIONS

Providing e-mail (e-zine) and RSS subscriptions is important to the success of any blog. But neither of these will do you much good if your visitors don't actually see them and if you don't give them enough incentive to subscribe.

Foremost, display your e-mail e-zine and RSS subscriptions information at the top of your blog, instead of somewhere far down where no one will see them.

And second, use enticing copy to get visitors to subscribe. Briefly explain the benefits of subscribing, what kind of content they can expect to receive, and also do not forget about your privacy disclaimer, calming potential subscribers that you will never abuse their personal information.

4. EXPLAIN RSS

Most internet users still do not know what RSS is or how to use it, and consequently the RSS buttons on your blog mean absolutely nothing to them.

To overcome this problem, create a special RSS presentation page and link to it next to the RSS subscribe button. On that page explain:

- What RSS is
- How the visitor will benefit from using RSS
- Where they can get a free RSS aggregator (recommend one yourself!)
- How they can install it (provide step-by-step instructions)
- How they can subscribe to your RSS feeds
- Why they should subscribe to your own RSS feeds
-
Then, on this same page, include the links to all of your RSS feeds.

5. TOP CONTENT

If you update your blog frequently, your less recent top content keeps being pushed down and down, where most of your blog readers will never bother to look for it.

Overcome this frequent blog problem by creating a list of your top posts, clearly displayed and available from each of your pages. Depending on the topic you cover, you might want to place these headlines as close to the top of your blog as possible, in order to quickly entice your new visitors to start reading the best of what you have to offer and then use this content to convert them to loyal readers and subscribers.

6. THE HEADLINE

The site or blog headline will tell your visitors what to expect from reading your blog and will answer their key question: "What's in it for me?"

Make sure that your blog headlines gives this reason and the story inviting enough for your readers to keep reading.

7. LEAD YOUR VISITORS TO YOUR MDA

MDA is the Most Desired Action you want your visitors to take on your site, ranging from a subscription to your e-zine to requesting more information about your services or ordering your product / getting more information about it.

Your blog will be of great help in this area, but only if you actually lead your visitors to this action. Putting this information in your menu simply is not enough.

Experiment putting some copy for your MDA directly below each blog post (on your permanent blog post archives pages) and also prominently in your left- or right-hand columns.

If you're providing multiple services or products, promote each of them next to the appropriate posts, based on post topics.

And yes, this is more important than having dozens of Google AdSense ads on your blog ... if you want to use your blog as part of your marketing mix.

8. LOOK DIFFERENT

Blogs are usually not heavily designed and most of them look exactly the same. While light design is one of the positive sides of blogs, you should invest some effort in making your blog stand-out visually. Don't cram it with design, but still make sure it's different than every other blog in the market.

9. USE YOUR OWN DOMAIN

Having a subdomain.typepad.com type sub-domain might be the easiest choice, but don't forget that your domain name is your permanent online address and part of your online brand.

Consequently, invest a couple of dollars to get your own domain name, to enforce your brand, as well as making it easier for your readers to access your blog.

10. DON'T FORGET YOUR KEYWORDS

What keywords do you want your content and blog to be found under in the search engines?

Don't forget to implement these keywords in the titles and body content of your blog posts. I'm not saying you should write your posts to please the search engines, but at least keep them in mind and use them when possible, without taking anything away from the actual content.

11. INTERACT WITH YOUR READERS

If you're blogging for business, don't forget about business oriented reader interaction.

Mainly, solicit questions from your readers, pertaining to your field of expertise, and then respond to them via your blog. Post interesting client case studies. When you get a review, post it or link to it. And so on ...

12. BLOG SPECIFIC PROMOTIONAL TACTICS 101

a] Intensively market your RSS feeds

b] Ping the search engines and directories after you update your blog, using a free service

13. DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE CONTENT

And of course, none of the above won't make any difference at all if you don't provide high-quality, interesting and frequent content.

These 13 points are of course only the most basic stuff, but enough to help you get on the marketing optimization train.

How can you Earn Money On The Web?

Are you looking to earn money on the web? Let's look at 3 easy ways you can earn money using the internet. Affiliate programs, home based business, and internet marketing.

Affiliate programs:

Affiliate programs may be the easiest way to earn money on the web. Why?

With any online business you must have a product or service to sell. First you must create this product or service and then you must be able to fill orders or find people who will sell it for you for a hefty commission.
Affiliate programs allow you to sell another company's service or product and make a commission on every sale or lead. You do not even need to build a website, process the order, ship the product to the person, or anything like that. Your only job is to drive traffic (customers) to your affiliate link and hope that they click on it and buy the product.

An affiliate link is a special URL code that will identify customers coming to the company's site from your advertising. It will likely be the website address with a code attached to the end.

Some affiliate programs also have tiers. That means if someone who is interested in SELLING the product comes through your link and signs up you will also get a small percentage of THEIR earnings. This is also called internet network marketing.

A home based business:

This is a business which is really described as a work at home business. The person reserves a room in the house and builts an office in it. There they have there own computer, telephone, possibly a secretery, and some nice furniture.

A home business can be anything from party plans, to mlm businesses, or any business based in your home and conducted outside of it.

Internet marketing:

This is the use of the internet to advertise and sell real tengible merchandise or services. This involves the use of someone's site and e-mail to inform his/hers customers about a product, answer their questions and feedbacks, and accept their orders directly through the online internet world.

Virtually any product or service can be sold online for a generous commission. This is a great way to earn money if you already have a product.

An excellent program that combines all 3 things, affiliate programs, internet marketing, and your own home business is the Plugin Profit Site (PIPS). In 3 easy steps you can be set up with your own money making website, and internet marketing newsletter that you can run from your own home.

This is, in my view, the best earn money on the web opportunity for someone who doesn't have the knowledge, money, or the time to set up their own home business on the internet.

Forex Flip & Go

Now, with Forex Flip & Go (another of my PDFT day trading strategies), you can take advantage of a certain EXPLOSIVE characteristic of the EUR/USD pair (the most liquid of all currency pairs) which produces HIGH PROBABILITY/LOW RISK trades over and over again.
The EUR/USD's daily range is about 80-100 pips ($800-$1,000). As daytraders we want to catch a big portion of this daily move and we want to do it with as little risk as possible. Here is where this beautiful strategy comes to our help! The strength of the Forex Flip & Go strategy is that it catches a large part of these $1,000 swings right at the beginning of the move.

Let's look at some examples so you can see exactly what I mean when I say that Forex Flip & Go catches large swings at the very beginning of the move and impressively limits risk:

NOTE: Trade examples open in a new window.

Many of the best performing professional traders agree that the key to make serious money in daytrading is having small losses and large gains. That is exactly what Forex Flip & Go does, it identifies a large move at the beginning BUT if it is wrong it will get you out of the market with a minimal loss. I hope you had the chance to view the example charts I put above, they show exactly how Forex Flip & Go does an amazing job of exiting the market when it is wrong (with losses many times smaller than 10 pips!) and how it exploits large moves from beginning to end.

If you are serious about being a successful forex daytrader and learning one of the best methods to consistently capture profitable trades then Forex Flip & Go is for you!

Like with the other two PDFT strategies we saw earlier (Forex Cash Cow and Forex Runner) I will teach you step by step how to identify and place a high probability Forex Flip & Go trade. And again, as with all my strategies , Forex Flip & Go is 100% mechanical! You will not use any type of judgment or discretion in your trading. You will only learn to follow simple rules: if A = B do C!

All the strategies you will learn in Forex Trading Methods have incredible benefits that simply make them unique, the best of the best. Forex Flip & Go is no different:

One of the only daytrading strategies that is capable of catching a large part of those 80-100 pip EUR/USD daily moves!

Rules are 100% mechanical. You will not use any type of judgment or discretion, all your trades will be placed according to simple objective rules. This is a very important aspect of all my strategies and is one of the reasons why Forex Trading Machine traders are so successful.

Large profit objectives and VERY small stop losses. This is key. As a daytrader you want to always limit your risk but at the same time you want to ride your winners and squeeze out the last available pip! Forex Flip & Go allows you to do exactly that. In fact, in order to accomplish this objective I created a mechanism that I have not seen in any other forex daytrading strategy. You will be amazed how this small "trick" keeps you out of bad trades BEFORE you even know you are in a bad trade!

Completely disclosed rules. Stop using those trading services or so called "black box" systems. Be in control of your trading.

So simple to learn that a 15 year old can trade Forex Flip & Go!

No indicators, no vague patterns, no pivots, nothing! Since this is a PDFT strategy you will only use the price of the currency to identify, enter and exit trades.

No sitting in front of the computer all day long. Most days you will not trade more than 3 hours. Some days much less.

Once 90% of traders realize the market started moving to a certain direction you will already be in the move and profiting from it.

Profit objective is pre-set. This means you do not have to think and speculate where to place it. Once you enter the trade you will simply enter a "take profit" order and forget about it.

While most traders will struggle in choppy market days (and of course, lose money in the process!) Forex Flip & Go will keep you out.

And much more.....

I constantly get emails from traders who successfuly trade the strategies I teach in Forex Trading Methods. Let's look at what people have to say about Forex Flip & Go and Forex Runner :

"David, just a quick note. Thank you for being so patient with me. You truly redefine the term "customer service"! As I told you I opened a demo account about 10 days ago and started trading the Forex Flip & Go strategy. I want to take things slowly since as you already know I am new to forex trading (so, one strategy at a time!).

As of the time of writing this email I am up 157 pips ($ 1,570) trading about 2 hours per day. The only thing that I keep on thinking about all the time is how easy it is to put to work this strategy."

Nicolas S, Greece

"Your Forex Runner is working very well, 4 winning trades on the roll (160pips) and on the way to complete a 5th one. Great. I'm still trading with my demo account."

Minh B, USA

"Being an experienced forex trader it is hard to impress me, you impressed me! I mostly daytrade the EUR/USD and USD/CHF pairs. I believe in simplicity, the best strategies are the ones that are the most simple to trade. This is one of the reasons I decided to try your course. The daytrading strategies you teach are not only profitable but very easy to use."
Fabian D, Canada

"David, i just want to tell you, am looking now on Metatrader EUR/USD, WUAW... AWESOME the Forex Flip & Go really really WORKS.....! This day at time 00:40 to 01:40 EUR/USD completed the first rule from 1.3224 to 1.3209 & the results: 32Pips.

Thank you David for your courses. This is the very best technique I ever had. I have a lot of satisfaction from your service..."

Matthew A, Indonesia

The foreign exchange market is the largest financial market in the world, with the equivalent of over $1.9 trillion changing hands daily; more than three times the aggregate amount of the US Equity and Treasury markets combined. Unlike other financial markets, the Forex market has no physical location and no central exchange. It operates through a global network of banks, corporations and individuals trading one currency for another. The lack of a physical exchange enables the Forex market to operate on a 24-hour basis, spanning from one zone to another in all the major financial centers.

Traditionally, retail investors' only means of gaining access to the foreign exchange market was through banks that transacted large amounts of currencies for commercial and investment purposes. Trading volume has increased rapidly over time, especially after exchange rates were allowed to float freely in 1971. Today, importers and exporters, international portfolio managers, multinational corporations, speculators, day traders, long-term holders and hedge funds all use the FOREX market to pay for goods and services, transact in financial assets or to reduce the risk of currency movements by hedging their exposure in other markets. MG Financial Group’s combination of low margin and high leverage has changed the way the Interbank currency market operates. We have done this by opening the doors of Forex to retail investors, giving them the professional tools and services needed to trade effectively in an independent atmosphere.

MG Financial Group, now operating in over 100 countries, serves all manner of clients, comprising speculators and strategic traders. Whether it’s day-traders looking for short-term gains, or fund managers wanting to hedge their non-US assets, MG's DealStation™ allows them to participate in FOREX trading by providing a combination of live quotes, Real-Time charts, and news and analysis that attracts traders with an orientation towards fundamental and/or technical analysis.

Make Money at Home Ideas

Writen by Ken Marlborough

Are you looking for ideas to help you earn an additional income within the confines of your own home? When looking into this option, the first step you need to take is to explore areas of your own interests. It can be a hobby or a passion, but if the option you choose is something you enjoy, the preparation and adjustment required to make it successful will be minimal.

Designing

If you have a talent for art and design, you can offer freelance services as a designer. With powerful personal computers and high-tech printers, you can do all the work at home. You would probably need a desktop computer, one monitor (although some designers work with two monitors), a keyboard, and a mouse. A designer may also want to acquire a tablet and a printer, and since most design files consume large amounts of space, you may also want to consider having an extra hard disk, or a CD or DVD burner. You would also need to purchase the image-editing application of your choice. This job would rely mostly on your creativity and skills.

The only time you may need to leave the house is to consult with clients and to submit your work. But most of your time would be spent in front of the computer.

Programmer

A different twist to using the computer is that you work as a programmer instead of a designer. The concept is the same, and the requirements are almost identical. The difference is, instead of needing creative skills, you need the technical knowledge to develop the applications necessary to complete the project.

If you are actually exploring this option but do not have the technical skills of a programmer, there are vocational courses that are available in schools or online to prepare yourself for this task.

Did you know that the Health & Fitness Industry is one of the largest producers of revenue online and off? From potions, to lotions, to pills and fitness equipment, it seems everywhere you look the focus is on health, beauty and fitness.

If you are a health and fitness professional, this news can be good AND bad. The good news is that there is plenty of money within the industry for everyone to take their share. The unfortunate side is that everyone is taking their share and some are getting more of the profits than others. As a health and fitness professional, it is imperative that you stand out in the crowd.

In hopes of cornering your piece of the market, you’ve posted your business card on gym bulletin boards, you’ve hounded all your friends, and you can’t go anywhere without mentioning your skills and services. That’s a great start, but soon you find yourself with expended resources and you’re telling the same people (friends and family) about your service and you are not really extending your reach.

So, what next? What makes some health and fitness professionals successful doing what they love while others spend all their time doing what they hate (trying desperately to market one’s self).

Exposure is the key to success in just about any industry, but in an industry as lucrative and flooded with opportunities and opportunists, it is extremely important to get more exposure than your competition.

In hopes of getting more exposure, you’ve posted your business card on gym bulletin boards, you’ve hounded all your friends, and you can’t go anywhere without mentioning your skills and services. That’s a great start, but soon you find yourself with expended resources and you’re telling the same people (friends and family) about your services and you are not really extending your reach.

Sound familiar?

The cyclic nature of marketing can be overwhelming. Think of a tornado’s vortex. If you are close to the bottom of the funnel, your “circles or cycles” are much shorter, too fast to keep up with, and you end up doing more damage than good.

If you are at the top of the tornado’s vortex your cycle is much longer, smoother and easier to manage. Best of all, you reap all the rewards of those doing all the damaging work at the bottom, as houses and cars and everything else comes easily your way.

So how do you move UP the vortex and reap all the rewards of those doing all the work?

Many of the biggest players in the industry do this through strong marketing campaigns and costly marketing. Vying for the same ad space as the bigger industry leader is futile as their pockets are much bigger and can ALWAYS spend more than you can for exposure. In fact, the more you spend competing with the bigger fish, the more they appreciate your efforts, because you are acting like the bottom of the vortex… doing damage to your own checkbook and overall business model, while the industry giants at the top scoop up all the potential clients you excited.

While spending money on advertising is one of the best things you can do for your business, many small business owners do not have the cash flow to continually market their products or services. So, you end up spending a few hundred or a few thousand on a short lived marketing campaigns that leave you discouraged and broke. As soon as your marketing starts to work for you, you run out of cash to continue the efforts. What a bummer!

Again, you are getting the crowd (customers and clients) buzzing and interested in your product or service. But just when they are ready to purchase, they look for your ad in the most recent newspaper or periodical and you are no longer there. Your ad expired and you don’t have the cash to renew, even if clients are interested and waiting to purchase from you.

So, that person who picks up the local paper ends up going with the company that purchases its ad space year round. You did the work, they got the reward. This won’t work for very long at all.

So how do you turn it around? How do you make it so others are doing the work and YOU are reaping the benefits?

Online marketing and advertising are a good choice, as the prices are much lower than print or TV advertising and if your web site process orders, your clients are always one click away from purchasing your product or service.

Remember, when purchasing ad campaigns, stay within your budget. Make sure you can afford to pay for 6 months to a year or it might not be worth the return on investment. Just as in the traditional advertising scenario above, if you let your ad campaign run out, you stand to LOSE money, while others who leave their campaigns active reap the rewards.

Return on investment is the most important thing to consider as a small business owner whether in the health and fitness industry or any other. That’s why it’s IMPERATIVE that you operate within your means. This means that if you do not have the cash flow to advertise on a web site, newspaper or TV spot for more than six months, you might want to try a grass roots approach to your marketing campaign.

In hopes of saving money and starting your grass roots campaign, you’ve posted your business card on gym bulletin boards, you’ve hounded all your friends, and you can’t go anywhere without mentioning your skills and services. That’s a great start, but soon you find yourself with expended resources and you’re telling the same people (friends and family) about your services and you are not really extending your reach.

That’s right; we’ve come full circle once again. Will it ever end?

To stop the cycle, you MUST MAKE CHANGE. I suggest you start your own gorilla / grassroots marketing campaign.

Here’s my short list of effective gorilla marketing campaigns:

1. Post your product or service on free sites like www.craigslist.org (make sure to post appropriately, or you WILL be removed from their site)

2. Post your PROFILE on FREE niche web sites like www.exercisefriends.com (the more active you are on the site, the more exposure you receive)

3. Be active on forums and comment boards. Become a leader by example. Helping others on FREE forums and message boards can really help to increase your visibility and credibility (again be sure to post according to web site rules).

craigslist.org has a broad range of forums and exercisefriends.com has one of the largest & most active health and fitness forums on the web.

4. If you have the time to write… you can quickly become an “expert” in your industry by writing e-zines and e-books. www.ezinearticles.com is a GREAT place to submit your work, as well as exercisefriends.com.

What ever you do, what ever you decide, make sure that your marketing efforts don’t go wasted. Make sure that any advertisement campaigns that you purchase are AFFORDABLE to you. Just because Gold’s Gym is advertising in a particular spot, does not mean that you can. While you may be able to afford a one time ad placement or a short run campaign, it will be very difficult to compete dollar for dollar with them.

So beat them with your time, energy, personal knowledge and experience.

To format intend colors and size of the banner ads that contain text AdSense.

It is my conviction that the ads are performing more if the background is white (or gray clear), the text is black (or very dark gray type # 222), the title and url are blue.
We immediately explain why black and white is the combination ever more readable and blue is the color standard for links since the dawn of time web ...

The best (formats your most performing)
The wide skyscraper 160x600 (contains 5 ads) placed in the left column of the site is perhaps the best (>> see example) being at the eye where a person looks west for the first and being in a very visible position. It is also a good format for the column, although perhaps% of the click will be a little lower.

In American sites (and even in many places in Italy) is becoming increasingly gaining Large Rectangle 336x280 (such as a page in the bottom of this blog) put in the body at the top of the page. This format (which contains 4 ads) is very performance put to the head as do many directories for this period.

The classic banner 468x60 (2 ads) placed in the body of the page (>> see example) and even with the edge of a color close to the background color, can provide good performance andandosi to intergrare well as content that is like look and feel .
Other formats that may go well

The classic Skyscraper 120x600 makes her beautiful figure and can bring a good number of clicks if the colors and position are azzecati.

Another format used is the Leaderboard 728x90; I use mainly in the footer of some sites (>> see example) to give my users some interesting links at the end of the page.

All other formats that I have mentioned are, in my view, very little performance, except in some very specific layout.

77 ways to increase traffic on your site

Welcome back people ...

For you to make much more than a few miserable cents from Adsense, you will need to find plenty of content for your blog. This is actually quite a challenge because even if as a blogger you have enough writing skills, it is unlikely that on your own you will be able to produce enough content quickly enough to make an impact on your Adsense blog earnings. So the big nagging question is, where do you find content for your Adsense blog?
There are actually quite a number of sources where one can find plenty of valuable content for their Adsense blog.
Or you could provoke people to comment by making controversial posts. These are but two examples of ideas that you can use to seek and find plenty of content for your Adsense blog. Creativity is the key to success in everything.
Find Content For Your Adsense Blog From Article Directories
Remember to use keywords in your post that will attract the highest click value Adsense ads.
Find out how you can learn more about the best Adsense make money secrets from an expert who makes over $19,000 a month from Adsense. Or discover an easy way to increase traffic to your Adsense blog using only free articles marketing.
Today’s student has a lot on his mind. Next week’s final, the big game, and the party scene are just some of the distractions facing our youth. Auto insurance is not a major concern for many students. The reasons for this can vary. Many young students are still covered on their parents’ policies, as they can be covered on these policies as long as the parents allow them to be. However, for all of the hard-working students that have to pay for their own auto insurance, there are a few key things to keep in mind.

Collision and Comprehensive Coverage for Students

If you have a new car or a newer used car, it is important to have full-coverage insurance for your vehicle. Full coverage means that you have collision and comprehensive coverage. Collision deductibles are the amount of money that you pay to the insurance company to fix your car in the event of an accident where you are at fault. These claims affect your future rates on insurance substantially. The comprehensive deductible is the amount of money you pay to the insurance company in the event that your vehicle was vandalized, involved in a hit and run, damaged in a hail storm, or even if you hit an animal in the road. These claims do not affect your future rates on insurance, as they are considered not to be the fault of the driver.

Minimum Coverage for Students

States vary in the minimum required bodily injury coverage—anywhere from 50/100/25 to 10/20/20. These numbers translate to the following: x thousands of dollars per person, x thousands of dollars per accident, and x thousands of dollars for property damage to others. Keep in mind that states have mandated minimums. In general, this is not enough coverage to ensure that all parties will be taken care of in the event of an accident.

Work with an Agent

Finally, when choosing your comprehensive and collision deductibles, ask your agent to compare different levels, and get feedback as to what they think you should do. Agents are professionals who do this kind of work for a living. They are trained and licensed, so they will help you to make the best decisions for your current situation. Also, when you upgrade your car, after you graduate, it is important to consider a different level of deductible. If you had an older car that was not worth much and carry liability only insurance for it, consider going with full coverage insurance for your new car.

16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

Writen by Denise Wakeman
You've got your blog set up and you've started posting pithy, useful information that your niche market would benefit from and enjoy. Days go by, you keep publishing, but no one comments and your traffic stats are barely registering. What do you do?

Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. Here are 16 steps, in no particular order of importance, that you can start doing now to get traffic moving to your blog.
1. Set up a Bloglet subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.

2. Set up a feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine (see tutorial on http://www.biztipsblog.com)

http://www.my.yahoo.com

3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Don't write things like "nice blog" or "great post." Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog.

4. Use Ping-0-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you publish.

http://www.pingomatic.com

5. Submit your blog to traditional search engines: http://www.submitfire.com

6. Submit your blog to blog directories. The most comprehensive list of directories is on this site:

http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/

Tip: Create a form to track your submissions; this can take several hours when you first start so schedule an hour a day for submitting or hire a VA to do it for you.

7. Add a link to your blog in your email signature file.

8. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.

9. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.

10. Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as autoresponder sequences, sales letters, reports, white papers, etc.

11. Print your blog URL on your business cards, brochures and flyers.

12. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to. The acronym RSS means Rich Site Summary, or some may consider its meaning as Really Simple Syndication. It is a document type that lists updates of websites or blogs available for syndication. These RSS documents (also known as 'feeds') may be read using aggregators (news readers). RSS feeds may show headlines only or both headlines and summaries.

To learn how news aggregators/RSS readers work, see this site: http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-readers.htm

13. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts

14. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts. What is TrackBack? Essentially what this does is send a message from one server to another server letting it know you have posted a reference to their post. The beauty is that a link to your blog is now included on their site.

15. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box (See example in our signature below).

16. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders. Put it on your calendar as a task every day at the same time.

Tip: Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit. You can get a free hit counter at http://www.sitemeter.com

If you have joined the blogging revolution that is sweeping the net, and you think you might want to make a little revenue – or a lot of revenue – from your blogging efforts, you need AdSense tips for bloggers. Blogging has opened up an entirely new way of how non-technical people interact with the Internet, and now, anyone can publish anything about any topic – without having a website – and anyone can profit without even having a product!

Adsense for blogs make perfect sense. Google’s advertising programs are designed to work with sites related to the keywords for the ads that are being presented. Each time you add content to your blog, the Google spiders gobble it up. The more you update, the more the Google spider visits your page. Ultimately, you move up in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for the topics that you write about. You see where this is going. The higher your search ranking, the more traffic you receive, which ultimately leads to higher revenue from AdSense ads.

The beauty of blogs is their potential for rapid growth. If you become known as an expert in your area of expertise, word of mouth spreads quickly and your blog can become very popular. So it is vital that you always teach something with every blog entry. You want your readers to come back frequently and they will if they know they will learn something. Not only will your readers bookmark your blog and return often, but they will link to your blog enthusiastically as well. People in forums will refer to your blogs and discuss what they learned. Websites will link to you as a valuable resource. In short, an informative blog can grow very quickly if the information it provides is valuable.

It is important to write about specific topics, and sprinkle your blog entries with specific keywords to get the best results – and the highest revenue – with your Google AdSense ads. There is a method to the madness. Start your revenue generating blog by testing the waters.

Decide what area you would like to write about and then do some keyword research. Research is easy if you use Google’s keyword tools found at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox . The keyword tools are located in your Google AdWords account. Yes, you need a free AdWords account to be successful but you don’t have to fund it to use the keyword tools. Look for keywords related to your subject that are high paying. These are keywords where the bid amounts are high. Make a list of the top paying keywords, and use that list to determine what topics you will write about.

Remember, you want people to visit your blog time and time again, and build up a readership, make sure that your blog is well written and informative. Don’t just target keywords for the sake of targeting keywords – the writing needs to make sense! Writing valuable content is the first step to generating traffic to your blog, and traffic is needed to profit from AdSense ads!

You are allowed to use the AdSense ad units in two different places on each page. You can accomplish this in a couple of different ways. First, you can add the AdSense ad code to the template for your blog. This is done through the control panel for your blog, and some knowledge of HTML is needed. The other option is to paste the AdSense code directly in your blog post each time you submit a new post. You can use it once at the top and once at the bottom, or once after a few paragraphs of the post, and again after a few more paragraphs.

Get that code in there however you see fit – but then pay close attention to the results so you can see what is working and what isn’t. Tracking is everything if you want to make real money!

Of course, you need to advertise your blog as much as possible as well. Make sure that you provide Trackbacks to other people’s blogs as often as possible, and that you visit blogs, leave comments – and leave a link for your blog as well!

Forex trades 24 hours a day from 5:00 p.m. ET on Sunday until 4:00 p.m. ET Friday, so you won't hear those opening or closing bells. And, there's no central market like the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq. Instead, trade is conducted between participants through electronic communication networks (ECNs) and phone networks in various markets around the world. So, when you hear that the US dollar closed at a certain rate, it simply means that was the rate at market close in New York. But currency continues to be traded around the world long after New York's close.

But, like securities, traders can go long or short and they can make a profit or lose money. As with stocks, it's best to conduct some research into how the forex market works before you begin to trade. After you understand how the forex market works, you can begin to build a trading strategy.
The following list contains 37 tutorials, tools, and resources that will help you get started with investments in forex. If you've traded on any stock exchange in the past, some of these tools might feel or appear familiar, but they may have a new twist. The resources listed below were chosen for their clarity and simplicity as well as for their reputation.

Getting Started
The following information is for the forex beginner, but even intermediate-level forex traders might pick up a tip or two from these sites:

Baby Pips: A pip is the smallest unit of price for any foreign currency, so "baby pips" is a bit redundant. But you won't find any redunancy on this site. Skip the news on the front page for now and go straight to the School of Pipsology that holds a complete course for beginners. If you walk through all the lessons contained on this site, you'll have a solid basic forex education under your belt.

Forex Glossary: Although the previous tutorial might help you to understand some forex terms, this glossary is a great tool to have on hand for future reference. You'll see some familiar terms here, like "selling short" and "limit order," and you'll learn that they mean the same as they do when you use them for trading securities. But, you'll also find new terms like "big figure" and "two-way price," terms that will set you apart as a forex trader.

Investopedia: This online financial encyclopedia contains an extensive 10-part article on forex investing, from an introduction to a recap that covers everything from benefits and risks to technical analysis. If you can't get enough of Investopedia's information, head to their Forex index, where you can find a list of articles and an opportunity to download their free e-Book entitled, "High Probability Trading Setups for the Currency Market."

National Futures Association(NFA): Now that you have a basic understanding about forex markets, visit the NFA to learn how to build a sound forex strategy. The NFA is "the premier independent provider of efficient and innovative regulatory programs that safeguard the integrity of the derivatives markets," which basically means that this organization regulates any market that depends upon future cash flows. The "investor information" section contains materials about how to find a broker and basic lessons in forex trading. Plus, they publish forex warnings, news, and they offer a place for investor disputes and complaints.

Commodities Futures Trading Commission(CFTC): The CFTC operates along the same lines as the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), except this government organization focuses on protecting market users and the public from fraud in the futures and option markets. So keep this site handy to stay on top of any forex scams through their Consumer Advisory on Forex Fraud. You can learn quickly what to avoid in your learning curve through a detailed forex advisory that offers information about other resources as well.

Martket Traders Insitute (MTI): You don't need to spend a lot of money to train in forex markets. Even MTI offers free resources such as videos and lesson plans that will help you get off the ground. If you like what you hear and see, you can invest in materials for the advanced trader down the road.

Learn about Currency
If you're going to trade something, you better know what it is you're trading. These currency sites will help you get up to speed on foreign currency exchange and markets.

Exchange Rate: Skip the top link box, as those links will take you to FXCM (Forex Capital Markets — see #13 and #33). Instead, try out the "hot" and "currency info" links that provide information about everything you'd want to know about worldwide currencies for 170 countries. Includes calculators, fun facts, serious facts, and more.

The Euro: Confused about the Euro? Over 13 European Union countries now use the Euro, and this Web site, brought to you by the European Commission, will teach you everything you want to know about this currency. But the Euro represents just one currency among hundreds. Which leads me to my next point...

List of Currencies: This is an extensive list provided by Wikipedia that covers everything from ancient coinage to the current Yen. As with most Wikipedia lists, you might run across a link or two that doesn't contain information. But, you can use that information to search elsewhere if needed.

Get the News
Once you've learned the basics, the next best thing you can do before you begin to trade is to read up on forex information via traditional financial news sites and blogs. Use the tutorials listed above during this process so that you can grasp the language and learn the strategies involved in any reporting. Take advantage of forums or chats offered by these resources to ask questions:

Sponsored by FXCM, this site offers a free weekly trading lesson and free quarterly outlook reports. You must be an FXCM client to access the market commentary, but the other "free" news offers a great resource for learning and for staying on top of forex news.

Forex Reader: The Forex Reader is a popular blog that offers updates on financial headlines relegated by currency. It also serves as a resource for individuals seeking a Houston trucking accident attorney along with other legal and financial information.

Forex News: Like most of the sites listed here, Forex News offers more than news. Check out their forums, their technical news, and their educational and research materials while you're there. Register for free to take full advantage of the site's resources, including a chat feature.

FXStreet: Global Forex Trading (GFX) sponsors this forex news site. Use the forums, chats, strategies, techniques, and trading tools to get a feel for forex. Additionally, several bloggers share their insights, including Wayne McDonell's FX Boot Camp Training Videos (visit his FX Bootcamp site).

Profiting with Forex Blog: You might discover that this newsworthy blog is part of the network, "Profiting with Forex." The blog is interesting, but the backend reports, podcasts, and commentary at the "Profiting" site might appeal to you more.

The Forex Project: Lessons learned first-hand from a forex trader. This site has an unbelievably long list of topics, along with news about the blogger's personal trading experiences, calculators, charts, news, and a perspective on forex psychology.

Participate in Forums
Speaking of forums, here are a few specific resources where you can tap into information from around the world that may help to answer your questions about forex trading and markets. Be aware that individuals who want to sell their ideas visit these forums, just like any other forums. But, you'll find a wealth of valid information here as well.

MoneyTec: With over 33,000 members, this traders' forum offers a format to discuss trading ideas, share, learn, and build new trading techniques and strategies.

Global View Forums: Another free forum that's been around since 1996. This one focuses solely on forex. You must register to participate.

Forex Factory Forum: You'll find a Forex Beginner Q&A section as well as topics that focus on specific strategies and techniques. Free to register.

Learn Strategies
You'll discover that some forex traders use Fibonacci (Fib) methods, and that others rely on current financial news to divine futures. There are as many strategies as personalities in the forex market, but — like the stock market — they rely either on fundamental or technical analysis. The following contains a mix of the two:

Fibonacci Lesson: Don't know much 'bout arithmetic, Fibonacci numbers, or the Golden Section? This tutorial, offered by Dr Ron Knott from the Mathematics Department of the University of Surrey, UK will provide results. Simple to use, easy to understand, and filled with illustrations to help you learn why some numbers are so important to nature. Interstingly, these numbers are also of vast interest to many forex investors.

Fibonacci Forex Indicators: Forex Planet will begin to show you how to apply Fibs to forex in this easy-to-understand lesson. But, the lesson is short, so you might try the next resource as well:

Mini-Lesson on Fibonnaci: This lesson also applies to forex, and it offers a short tutorial on applications along with a downloadable Fib calculator.

Intro to Japanese Candlestick Charting: Altavest provides a short and succinct introduction to Japanese candlestick charting, another method that forex traders use to graph charts.

Candlestick Patterns: If you like the Japanese candlestick methodology, this site will thrill you. Extensive patterns are illustrated graphically from basic to single patterns and reversal to continuation formations. This entire site offers some great information on techniques and strategies beyond the candlestick information, so take some time to look around while you're here. Basically, this site has it all as far as technical analysis goes.

Fundamentals of Forex: Forex TV brings you the lowdown on what type of news would affect forex from a fundamental standpoint. You can use the information on this list to conduct further research, but I'll bring a few of those topics to you now...

Consumer Price Index (CPI): The US Department of Labor offers a ton of information just on this page alone through their links. But, the CPI is often influenced by many other factors. If you're a fundamentalist, you might want to tag this next link for further research as well...

Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA): Don't play around with someone else's opinions. Get the straight stuff from the US Department of Commerce like the pros. Everyone from the White House staff to US Trade Commission employees to trade policy officials who want to negotiate international trade agreements uses the measurements contained on the BEA Web site. Why should you be left out of this information resource?

Use Charts
Charts offer visual validation for technical strategies, but they also reflect fundamental behaviors in the market. Even if you're a seasoned securities trader, you might want to learn more about the psychology behind forex trading. If you can read all sorts of charts inside and out, you'll have the forex advantage.

The Law of Charts: Joe Ross offers advice for traders across the board, but the information contained in his "Law of Charts" offer speaks to forex as well as any other trading strategy. He identifies chart patterns that result from human behaviors and points to entry and exit targets on those charts. You can take advantage of Ross's other tools as well, including the forum.

Forex Charting 101: A brief and basic overview of forex charts from Pip Trader. You'll discover that the charts are very similar to those that you might use for securities trading. But, some of the charts may seem more complicated if you're not a seasoned trader.

Free Forex Charts: There's no reason for me to push you into using a specific chart. Instead, I'll point you to a short list of free forex charts that you can use for practice. When you're ready to begin trading, take a look at their lists of premium and system trading charts for professional use. The lists contain ratings and reviews, visuals, features, and tips and tricks for individual charts.

FXCM: Although I don't advocate specific brokers in this article, when you visit brokerage sites make sure that you take advantage of any free information offered by those businesses. In this instance, Forex Capital Markets offers tons of information about forex trading, and you can sign up for a risk-free 30-day practice account to get your feet wet. Forex.com and several other brokerage sites also offer this free account service. Be aware that when you sign up for these services that you'll be added to a mailing list. You can opt out of these lists, but read any other pertinent information to make sure that you're not obligated to purchase anything from any brokerage that you use for services such as this one.

Other tools
The tools listed below are "sidebars" to all the information listed above. I'll cut you loose on the last two sites, as they contain just about every site you'd might want to access for more forex information:

Live Forex Rates: You might recognize the GFT logo behind the rates, but don't let that distract you from the constantly changing figures. If you're addicted to live feeds, you'll be mesmerized by the constantly changing currency rates on this chart.

A Free Book about Forex: This book is truly free, as you don't need to register to access the PDF file. A forex trader offers information about all the mistakes he made as he learned how to develop his own forex strategy. Short and easy to read, this little book will bring some insights into how to avoid some pitfalls in the forex markets.

Top 100 Forex Sites: Although these sites are rated by popularity and, therefore, subject to rating scams, you can learn much from the sites that are listed simply from the variety of information that's offered here. Many sites are brokerage firms, but as I mentioned previously you can find free information on many of these sites such as news, calculators, techniques, and more.

Earn Forex: A link exchange/directory for other forex sites. Unlike the "Top 100" site listed previously, Earn Forex doesn't rate their links. But, you will also find much different information here than at the previous site. Additionally, the links are sorted by categories, which makes it easier to find what you need. In addition, you'll find other tools here like calculators, articles, and a forex FAQ and glossary.

There are many other sites that I could list for your forex training, but my next suggestion is to head to your local library and read some books about forex trading. If you find an author or two who are to your liking, begin to study their techniques and strategies both through their books and on the Internet. If you share your information and questions on forums, you might find a mentor who will help you learn how to strategize and to use charts and fundamentals to your advantage as well.
Forex trading isn't learned overnight; so don't feel inadequate if you can't grasp the fine points immediately. You can't lose by learning more about how world economies work. The information that you gather in your search for forex training will make you a better trader no matter which markets you prefer to use.

But Forex trading is not always easy. You will need a good amount of knowledge related to how the currency markets behave in order to become a profitable forex trader. It is the dream of every trader to have a forex trading machine that would help them once the time to make a transcendental decision in the markets comes.

Now a days a veteran trader has been spreading the word about an original and quite revolutionary way to trade the forex markets. It is a system based on what is called Price Driven Forex Trading (PDFT).

He claims that this is at last that elusive Forex Trading Machine that has been dreamed by many traders for many years. PDFT is a system based in three trading strategies that are able to produce consistent and systematic profits for the trader that follows PDFT to the letter.

Many veteran traders agree that in order to be successful in the world of forex trading you must be original, innovative and different in your trading systems. And this is the basis of the Forex Trading Machine based on a different approach to currency trading, this is by the use of PDFT which is a method of trading the forex market without using any type of indicators, support or resistance levels, moving averages, pivots, oscillators, fibonacci, trend lines or any other trading tool you can think of. Price Driven Forex Trading only uses the price of the currency pair and a time element. Quite innovative I would say.

In short, the Forex Trading Machine is what every machine should be; this original trading system is 100% mechanical, this means it requires no discretion or interpretation. However, if we could find a way to give them the very best for far less, we'll be very happy. That's what this article is all about. Use these tips here and you'll lower your family health insurance premium.

It is important to bear in mind that your health insurance rates are determined based on the risk an insurer associates with insuring you. Your risk to an insurance company is based on certain factors. Some of these factors are such that you can really do little or nothing about. However, some of them are also within your power. Those are the type I'll talk about here.

1) You'll pay higher family health insurance rates if you have a smoker or smokers in your household. Smokers do not only pay more, they expose members of their households to more health hazards. This is because children who are constantly exposed to second hand smoke are much more likely to develop certain health conditions. Although this may not affect them immediately, the effects will become more obvious with time. And if they do develop health conditions that are consequences of second hand smoke, your family health insurance rate will be affect negatively.

So you can see that if every smoker in your house quits you'll pay lower family health insurance rates.

2) A first aid box is another thing that can help your family health insurance rates. It's cheap but very useful especially where there are kids -- It can help reduce fatalities.

3) You can also lower your family health insurance rate by removing your college kids from the family plan as they have health insurance programs that are designed specially for them.

4) Get and compare family health insurance quotes from many sites. Visit at least three insurance quotes sites if you want to increase your chances of getting massive savings. That will require only a little extra time investment. It takes just between 3-5 minutes per site.
I got this news from Indonesian Famous Adsense Publisher, Cosa Aranda.

Cosa Aranda is the most well known as a successful adsense publisher in Indonesia. Today, I just read his post (in indonesian language) reporting that one of his sites got banned by Google Adsense couple days ago. (note, it’s his site not his adsense account).

Then he sent a letter to Google Adsense Team asking why his site got banned. And the result as you may expected is really shocking. They said that Cosa’s adsense code should not be placed under the post title because it can raise ambiguous or accidental clicks on the ads.

This is pretty confusing since Cosa said that he had once asked Adsense Team to check his site just to make sure if he has implemented the ad code as Google Adsense tips and guidelines, and that time GA Team clarified that it was fine.
Unfortunately Cosa didn’t mention on his post which site is it so we can see and learn from it. I once actually has placed the adsense code under my post title too, but then because I see the CTR was to low, I removed it and replace it with ttzmedia ads. They pay me more then adsense
For you who run adsense on your site, you probably can learn from Cosa’s mistaken (well if you call it a mistake, since I don’t see anything wrong with placing the adsense code below post title). If adsense gives you good money, then you might want to be wise with this.
There are Cosa’s readers said that he has put space between the post title and the ads, and even gave them different background, so it’s pretty weird if GA Team said it can raise ambiguous or accidental clicks.
Just be smart, and always remember that Google Adsense is not the only advertising network on the internet. there are more of them, so don’t let it become your only income source.
Did you notice that there is only one ad code here on the site, and i’s not even in the content

While it doesn’t seem to be publicly detailed yet, some publishers have received an email from Google AdSense regarding a change in the way the text ads are formatted, and yes, it is a legitimate email (I received one from an account rep, and I have received many copies of this letter from people who received this as well, and it seems to have been sent to those with account reps).

What is the change? AdSense has just changed where a visitor can click on an ad and actually end up truly clicking the ad to visit that advertiser’s site.

This screenshot of an ad unit details the way you used to be able to click on an AdSense ad, and the new areas where a visitor can click on the ad. As you can see, they have dropped the clickable area down by well over half, and with many ad units, it is just a fraction of the original clickable area.

This is already live on publisher’s ad units, although it appears to be rolling out as not all ad units are behaving this way yet, so some ad units on your site could be using the new clickable areas while others are not (including the same ad unit sizes on the same site). There is the possibility that Google is also using the rollout to do some A/B testing between the new clickable areas and the old ones, so perhaps the change isn’t as certain as the email leads publishers to believe.
It is also worth noting that several smaller ad formats do not have a URL displayed when you use them. Those without a URL appear to have the ad text clickable as well, although this could be a part of the rollout. If this change is permanent, it could make sense for publishers to switch to the smaller ad units if they see a huge drop in CTR and earnings.
The two ad unit sizes without URLs are:

Banner (468×60)

Half Banner (234×60)

The official reason is to reduce the number of accidental clicks, and I suspect it is to help combat the prevalence of “Made for AdSense” sites. But Google is acknowledging that publishers will likely see a decrease in the CTR rate, which means that users will also end up seeing a loss of income. However, Google speculates that as this is making a change good for advertisers, since they are reducing the chance of accidental clicks, that they will also see a trend of more advertisers opting into the content network or increasing their ad spend.
I suspect many publishers will not be happy with this change, especially coming right at the beginning of the hard-core holiday shopping season. While I agree that reducing the ad click area was a good idea, I think they reduced it by far too much. If they wanted to reduce the clickable areas, I do believe they should have kept the ad text area (even if just the specific text area that has text on it) as a clickable area instead of only having the title and URL clickable. In other words, make all the text clickable (Title, Description, URL) and the white space non-clickable, as I am also fairly certain there were clicks made on white space areas that should not have been counted as a legitimate click.
What should you do if you see a drop in income or as a preventative measure to avoid the income drop? First and foremost, change your titles to hyperlink blue, as visitors are used to seeing links in blue. And if your site design doesn’t include other on-page links in blue, you might consider a slight style change.
Other things to try include perhaps try mixing some image-only ad units (which remain fully clickable) or try some of the non-URL ad units. And yes, I believe publishers will see a drop in income due to this change, meaning some publishers will have less Christmas spending money than expected.
I am seeing some slight initial CTR drops, but I will continue to monitor it as the rollout becomes more complete (not all of my ad units have the new clickable areas) and post followups, including what happens with the non-URL ad units.
What do you think of the changes? Are you happy with them or not-so-happy?
When you think about this happening, in a logical manner, one would think that one of the richest companies in the world cannot possibly bounce a check. Obviously, this can happen, but is very unlikely. So what happened in the previous cases of a Google check bouncing? What is the likely story? We know it is unlikely that Google won’t have funds in their bank accounts, especially the accounts used for paying AdSense publishers.

A long WebmasterWorld thread had a recent report of a bounced check. This time the forum members and I were not going to let this go. We kept grilling the person who reported the issue to bug the bank and get more details. After dozens of calls and speaking with several people at his bank, he found out the true reason as to why the check was “bounced.”

In fact, the check was fine and should have been cleared into the account. However, the bank thought that this individual, who happens to deposit a check from Google very month, was defrauding the bank and Google.
A woman at National City Bank named Rachel, told the bank customer, that several individuals have tried to cash fraudulent Google checks at National City. Due to this, the bank put a hold on the check and told him that it bounced. Again, this individual has been an AdSense publisher for two years and has been depositing Google checks at that bank for 18 months.
I suspect this is much more likely a reason for a Google check to “bounce,” when compared to Google not having the necessary funds in their bank account.
Before you banish these underperforming idlers to some distant house upon a lonely hill, we recommend redeeming them with a chance to boost your earning potential. This Halloween, the FeedBurner development team is asking those of us who do the announcing around here to make note of the now-available integration of FeedBurner site ads and AdSense. This newly integrated capability — designed just for FeedBurner-powered content like yours — puts relevant AdSense content ads to work on your blog and/or website. (Note: AdSense options for feeds not available at this time.) If you choose to activate this service, you can run a 300×250 or 468×60 text or image AdSense ad on your blog. The ad will appear below the first item on your site and archive pages once you have installed the necessary code. Ad content is automatically targeted to complement your site and you will earn revenue each time visitors click on ads. You can even customize the colors (or use a saved color palette from your AdSense account) so the ad unit fits your site’s look and feel. Check out these 300×250 examples below.
Once you’re signed up for AdSense, you can check out all the other ways you can monetize your site with ads near your non-feed-powered content. If you are currently part of the FeedBurner Ad Network (FAN), and you’ve configured your site to run ads, AdSense ads will be inserted on your web site only when there are no FeedBurner Ad Network ads available for those placements (if you choose).

Get Started

Traffic.

Did you remember in our last post the equation: no traffic = no money? Drive Traffic to your website by using adwords. Drive visitors to your site by having a compelling ad.

Here are 5 techniques I used to increase the clicks of my adwords:

1. Positioning of the bolded keyword. If you’re into adwords already, you know that when the searcher types a keyword, that keyword appears bolded in the ad. For example, if the searcher types “plasma tv”, the words “plasma” and “tv” will be bolded like this:

Plasma TV Sales
Buy Plasma TV for Les
Next Day Delivery

Many of the advertisers know this and they intentionally use the keyword in their ad. But do you know that you can add a little twist to this?

Here’s How to do it:

Position your keywords on the far left side or the far right side to grab the searcher’s attention. For example:

Buy Plasma TV
Only $1,300 for Plasma TV
Next Day Delivery, Plasma TV

While it may not read that good but hey! It surely grabs the eyeballs!

2. Inclusion of numbers. I don’t know, but the eyes just love numbers. If you put numbers in your headlines, especially those that relate to the product, the clicks simply rise sky-high. Here are 3 headline examples:

a. $1300 Plasma TV
b. $2,142 In Just 11 days?
c. Drop 13 Pounds In 72 Hours

3. Referencing of famous people. When using this technique make sure you do your homework. Check who are the famous people using the product you are offering.

Here’s an an example:

Remove Excess Fat Now
Transform Your Body In 2 Weeks
(Britney Spears Used This)

Also notice the use of parenthesis which added the power to this ad. Always remember to do this legally and properly. This technique is extremely potent.

4. Capitalizing the first letters. Well, this was what I first learned when I started Google Adwords. This little tweak could exponentially increase your CTR.

Change the first letter of every word of your ad to the Upper Case. This includes the following:

Headline
Description Line 1
Description Line 2
Display URL

Here’s an example:

5. Shorten Ad. This is seldom used by advertisers. But with almost everybody doing the same thing with adwords, doing something different could significantly push your CTR thru the roof.

Most of the advertisers would try to maximize the number of characters allowed by Google – 95 characters total. But to be recognized be different.

Original Ad:
Buy Canon Camcorder Today
Canon’s ZR800 MiniDV Camcorder
Next Day Delivery at $253.99

New Ad:
5% Discount

The sheer slimness of the ad differentiates itself from its competitors. This is also powerful because with this kind of product people only care for one benefit, and that is the price.

Now open your Adwords account and try using these 5 techniques and see your number of clicks explode! By the way, be sure to check you daily budget.

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
