Business Opportunities Online

Business opportunities are everywhere online so which businesses will actually generate revenue for you? With so

Business Opportunities

many opportunities out their I am sure you do not know which to try, I would suggest that you do what you enjoy since when you do something that you enjoy you will usually do it well and thus make more money at it. Working for yourself is not always as easy as it seems many people can not drive themselves and do better in a group environment.

Unfortunately not to many independents start with enough money to have a group environment so you must be self motivated and be able to follow through on goals that you set for yourself. Goals must be achievable so be realistic and do not set to high in the beginning until you begin to know your product, once you understand your product and be the goal you have set for your business you can then re-adjust your goals. It is important to remember when working for yourself you put in the same day that you would at a job, cutting short days is not really giving your new career a fair chance and you could be setting yourself up for failure if you do not meet your income requirements.

Business Opportunities – Patience is a Virtue

Patience is a virtue since becoming good at something is not an overnight process, it is important that you have either set aside a cash reserve or you keep your old job until you get your new career going if that is possible which could mean working your new career on the weekends and evenings through the week. With being self employed you will understand my motto, “Business before pleasure because with no business their is no pleasure”. So in the beginning when you are starting out and want to take some time off for whatever take a few minutes to really think about it.

For the first couple years you have to keep yourself and family expenses lean so that you can learn how to delegate your time and money to know exactly what you have coming in and going out, when the busy season are and when things slow down. Remember when you are self-employed and do not work then you do not have any money coming in unlike a regular 9-5 where you have that regular paycheck coming in each week. When self-employed it can easily be feast of famine so when the famine hits and it normally does you will have some cash reserves to get through it or time to adjust your business model to make it profitable again.

Businesss Opportunities – Decide the Size of Business you Want

Decide the Size of Business you Want is the next process in the growth of your business, once again I have a motto for this also. “If you grow fast you will go fast” which is why I feel that you need to grow a bit slower so that you fully understand every facet of your business as you grow. To many times a person will come from a leader position when starting his or her own business and leave the menial jobs to other people, well when you are self employed those so called menial job are what can an will ruin your business if you do not fully understand what the job entails to do that job properly. I have learned this process from the beginning and with over 37 years in business I am always ready to do the so called menial jobs so that my business can have continued growth. Why do you think the reality show undercover boss is really their, to many times the boss does not understand what makes the business, it is the workers of the business that make the business and if not trained properly or supervised properly then that is what can ruin your business.

Personally I do not care to get large but rather keep my business small and easily manageable where the business will remain viable through the slow time and busy times. I must say though their are times when I think that being a bit larger might be good also, point in case this morning I was getting ready to go out and start on a small project and I saw someone coming toward the office so I had to put off my other work to take care of a paying guest. Just part of the process when you are self-employed you need to put off little projects to take care of paying guests, always remember customers first.

Building Business in 2017

Building business in 2017 just got a bit easier by using Buckeye Ads as part of your marketing plan, Our business ads provide your business not only with local and regional business exposure but also global business exposure, this year we have notice a huge spike in people view our website. Take a minute to view our actual stats provide on Gamab2b , at our present rate we will exceed 30 million impressions this year minimum.

Building Business in 2017

At present we can provide close to 100,000 views day simply by using our platform, Golden Advertising has been in business since 1999 and our parent company since 1983 so the one thing you get with us is stability, the second will be high organic rankings. It is simple to place a business listing with us simply click on the add listing button, the much harder is writing an ad that will provide you the exposure that you need and want. Take some time when writing an ad, remember unlike newspaper ads you are not on a quota for content, so write quality ads incorporating important and relevant keywords in your ad so that you obtain rankings for each ad. Also share your listing through your social network to make your listing even higher ranked on the SERPs and to gain ever more organic viewers.

Obtaining Organic Rankings

Let me take some time here to explain something about obtaining organic rankings on your listings with our sites and other that you might use. Organic rankings are attained in a couple ways.

First you will obtain business from our rankings, simply by placing your ad that is properly written incorporating relevant keywords you will obtain viewers. Remember to add images as images can speak loads with a simple view but text is still king when obtaining organic rankings.

Second is the content itself, this will usually take a few days to a week for the search engines to rank based on how you wrote your listing. The better you write your listing the better your rankings

Assuming that you wrote a good ad for our site placing incoming links to your ad via your social network could dramatically improve your rankings.

Now assume that you placed links to your website from your listing then this will also improve the rankings of your website on the serps, you can now start seeing how properly placing a good business listing can dramatically change the rankings of you listing, website and social networks.

Now that you have taken the steps to create a good listing, you need to keep this listing fresh to maintain the rankings and improve the rankings. It is a good ideas to change up your business listing every 30 days so that you can maintain your rankings.

Building Business with Organic Rankings

In today’s market using business advertising resources like our only makes good business, another thing you need to understand is that many larger websites prevent organic rankings as they want all rankings for the main site and not the individual ads with in their site. With us you have to ability to build your rankings independently so you ad over time can be ranked on the search engines.

Many large sites have investors to pay for top listings and have no organic rankings, what does this mean for you if you place a listing on this site? If they fall short of cash you just wasted both time and much more money advertising on their website. With BuckeyeAds we have great organic rankings which will provide you a steady return on business which is a win, win for your business.

CEO and owner of CM Brake

Back on December 7, 2016 I had the pleasure of meeting this character who happens to own a Canadian business that does business in the US, Brian Roffey booked a room at my establishment in Southeastern Ohio though Expedia as I guess he was selling a trucking company his brakes in Zanesville, Ohio and my property happened to be close.

Below is a small part of the reservation:

Bedding Request/Smoking Preference 2 double beds, Nonsmoking
Reserved For Brian Roffey
Phone
1 Adult
Room Type Basic Double Room, 2 Double Beds Standard
Room Code 201635720
Rate Plan Code 208174466A
Checkin
Dec 7, 2016
Checkout
Dec 8, 2016

I have highlighted part of the reservation that he made that I received from Expedia, which clearly states One person.

View video of Brian Roffey and one other person entering our office: https://ring.com/share/1461788292

Independent Motel – Overview of Events

I am only stating the events as they have actually happened on December 7, 2016, this page was not put online until 12/31/2016 when I had noticed that he had posted a negative review on Expedia for my property. I feel since Brian Roffey felt a need to post an outright lie on his review when his actual beef was with Expedia and not my property that people have the right to know the actual events as they occurred. With over 36 years in business I take anything against my business personally and I personally registered Brian Roffey so I know the events first hand as they actually occurred. Anyone posting a review should only post accurate events and not inflammatory views, Brian Roffey of CM Brakes in Canada states he travels all over the US and has never had this problem before, this is because we have created a business environment where business accommodate people who use the system enough to know how to cheat it because they do not want a bad review like I got. Brian Roffey who is a business man should not be out trying to cheat other business people, he should have admitted his mistake and paid the extra with out calling me a con man, using bait and switch tactics, then yelling at me. Brian Roffey should place the correct number of people that are staying to get an accurate price when booking online. Personally as an independent business person I will go out of my way to patronize other independents and would never even think of trying to rip anyone off whether it be an Independent or a chain as I know that all businesses have bottom lines that are effected by theft in any form which in turn brings higher costs to all guests.

Brian Roffey, owner of CM Brakes – Checking In

Upon arriving at my property late in the evening on December 7th he registered for the room and left the part blank on the card stating number in party, since their was another gentleman who I assume was his new National Sales Manager in the USA I asked if he was staying also or wanted a second room. Brian Roffey immediately snapped back that he is staying with him as he made his reservation on Expedia. I said in a calm voice yes Sir but the reservation was for only one person and not two, they gave you a one person discount as Expedia had given him a rate of 53.87 including tax and the rate for 2 people – 2 beds at our property is 63.38 including tax. Brian Roffey preceeded to start yelling at me saying that I was ripping him off, I showed him the sheet from Expedia stating only one person and he stated they made a mistake. I informed him that he could take that up with Expedia but that was not my fault and he was welcome to go somewhere else and I would not charge him for the stay. There are several properties within 4 miles of us. Brian Roffey owner of CM Brakes in Canada preceeded his yelling session toward me and I sent him to his room.

Business Owner – CM Brakes, Canada

Brian Roffey owns CM Brakes in Canada and sells Braking Systems to Trucking companies here in the US. He attempted to do the bait and switch with me and got very mad when I confronted about his reservation that was only for one person and not two and he would have to pay for the extra person. I charged him the regular rate for 2 people / 2 beds instead of the discounted rated for one person that Expedia gave him, this unprofessional business man gave me a negative review in an attempt to hurt my business for his mistake. I hope that anyone doing business with this unquestionable character thinks about how he treats american business people when the problem was between him and Expedia, not my business.

His review of my business:

Beware of Unexpected Costs

Posted Dec 19, 2016

Location: Don’t know

When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that I had to pay additional because 2 people were staying in the room. In all my time travelling, this has never ever happened.

This clown would not have had an unexpected cost had he been honest in making the reservation, when a person makes a reservation they need to make it for the number of people that are staying in the room and not add guests when they get to the property and expect the lower rate given when booking the room. To be quite honest no one has ever been like this clown, personally this says a lot about the character of Brian Roffey and his company CM Brakes of Canada.

Business is ever changing and as a business owner or operator you need to be in tune with your business, part of being in tune with your business is understanding every facet of the business, personally I think this is why when a
business owner has worked different facets of a business he becomes more capable to run that business. A business owner needs to interact with customers in order to get a feel where the business is going or what changes need to be made and be willing to make the changes as needed. Larger business will have someone specifically for this but smaller businesses the owner needs to understand this so that if and when he or she wants to grow their business they no how to delegate and teach others to grow their business which in many cases is easier said than done.

Business Ever Changing

Understanding Your Business

Personally as a small business owner for over 30 years I no longer have the interest to expand my business to more properties and each business owner will need to judge that for themselves. Growing a business does not always mean that you are simplifying your job or duties it just means you are responsible for more people, in the 30 years that I have been in business I have seen many owners that like to play the role but not act the part, your success in business means that you need to understand both parts. When a business owner looses touch with how it all started then it really is time to either retire or get someone else to work the business for you. I have seen many businesses that have been around for generations that simply go broke and the owners simply think the that their was no business to continue, that is more time than not the case. What happens is the business owners loose touch with their business or become to accustomed to living a life style and not put the money into the business when and where they should. I call this a business that is to top heavy, the business climate is ever changing so you need to stay on top of the changes or simply get swallowed up and spit out.

Business Stagnating

Has your business stagnated? If you are stuck in a rut with little or no business more than likely you are just running the business and do not understand the business. Remember business is ever changing and you need to change with it. As an example with my business, I remember in the early 90’s my motel was slowing down, back then motels simply offered basic conveniences which did not include fridge and micro. I started to see more people come in that wanted to stay weeks and months, in order for me to meet their needs I started putting fridges and micros in each room and built a good weekly and monthly business. The chains did not hop on the band wagon until years later, again I saw the need so I made the change. I could go on but I do not want this article to become a book, you get the idea though that some changes can be simple and others need more thought.

Buying a Business

Thinking About Buying a Business? Do you have any experience in this area, do you have any business experience at all. Most new business fail in the first 5 years mainly because some people simply do not have the mind set for business. As an example 36 years ago when I bought my first business, failing was not even in my vocabulary. Is it in yours? I rest my case, the one that think they will fail more than likely will fail and that is why there are so many failures.

Understanding Your Business

Again on the above question I could write a book on this but due to time constraints I will not go into detail to much. Running a business takes a lot of discipline, time and money to succeed. Plus I have seen so many fail in business simply because they do not understand the effort that must be put forth to succeed or simply do not understand the business they are getting into before purchasing it. Today many people start businesses that require little or no capital outlay, typically opting for MLM Companies which in most cases the only people making money are the ones that start the business the rest will be better off getting a minimum wage job.

What ever business you are in you will need to stay in touch with the front end to see where trends are going, listen to your customers and be able to make changes when you see the market changing and your business will continue until at least you are ready to move on.

Apple Inc’s (AAPL.O) $1 billion investment in Chinese ride sharing company Didi Chuxing intensifies a race to acquire technology, talent and market access in a rapidly evolving global personal transportation market.
Apple’s investment comes as auto and technology industry executives and investors are placing bets that self-driving car systems, electric vehicles and ride sharing will eventually converge to allow companies to sell rides in self-driving vehicles, generating revenue day and night.

Apple, Chinese rideshare deal heats up race for tech-smart cars

For Apple, Chief Executive Tim Cook said to Reuters that investing in the leading Chinese ride sharing service could expand its presence in that “very, very important” market, and serve other ends as well.
“We are making the investment for a number of strategic reasons, including a chance to learn more about certain segments of the China market, and we also see lots of opportunities for closer cooperation between the two companies. Of course, we believe it will deliver a strong return for our invested capital over time as well,” Cook said in an interview Thursday.
Analysts said Apple’s investment also could bolster relations with the Chinese government, and put a roadblock in the way of rivals Alphabet Inc (GOOGL.O) and Uber Technologies, among others looking to profit from re-making the personal transportation market.
“(Apple is) going to learn a ton about what driving a car is like in China,” said analyst Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research.
Apple’s ride-sharing investment highlights a surge in automotive technology deals, which have increased by 58 percent in 2015, with a 154 percent jump in funding, according to CBInsights, a venture capital database. In 51 deals, investors put $409M into auto tech companies in 2015.
“It’s a reflection of fact there are very few industries in the world … that are going to go through as much disruptive transformation as transportation,” said Michael Linse of Linse Capital – which last week invested another $50 million in electric vehicle charging company Chargepoint.

DIPPING INTO THE MONEY CHEST
The ride-sharing investment barely dents Apple’s war chest, which stood at $232.9 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of its most recent earnings. The investment is something of a departure for the iPhone maker, which has made few large deals in its history, with the exception of its roughly $3 billion acquisition of headphone maker Beats in 2014.
Pressure is mounting for Apple to untap new sources of growth as sales of the iPhone, which accounts for about two-thirds of its revenue, declined for the first time last quarter. Investments and acquisitions could be a short cut for Apple to return to the kind of growth that Wall Street has come to expect, said analyst Bob O’Donnell of TECHnalysis Research.
“It’s clearly time for Apple to dip into their money chest,” he said. “Just moving forward with what they’ve got is not going to really cut it.”
Estimates of the size of the market for transportation services vary, but industry executives agree it is big.
Ford Motor Co (F.N) Chief Executive Mark Fields tells investors the market for transportation services could grow to $5.4 trillion a year – which is why Ford earlier this year set up a new business unit, Ford Smart Mobility LLC, to develop ventures and alliances in the sector.
Yoav Leitersdorf, managing partner of California and Israel-based YL Ventures, said self-driving car technology is “the Holy Grail” of investors right now.
“Anything leading to that is very hot right now,” said Leitersdorf, who invests in Israeli technology firms, most recently cybersecurity company Karamba Security.
General Motors Co (GM.N) on Friday said it had closed its acquisition of San Francisco autonomous driving startup Cruise Automation. That deal is one of a series of moves by global automakers to expand beyond traditional manufacturing. Automakers are under pressure from investors to demonstrate they can fend off disruption of their traditional profit engines.
GM earlier this year invested $500 million to buy a stake in Lyft, which also has an alliance with Didi. GM executives have outlined plans to use Cruise technology to deliver autonomous, electric vehicles that Lyft could use in its fleets. A GM spokesman on Friday said the automaker has ridesharing pilot projects in China, but not in connection with Didi.
The investment offers tremendous new resources for the collaborative work Didi does with Lyft, said Lyft spokeswoman Sheila Bryson, adding that the executive teams and technical teams of both companies work closely together.
Its really exciting for Lyft, too, said Bryson.
Apple’s alignment with Didi may deliver a blow to Uber, which is fiercely competing for market share in China, one of its most critical and intense markets. The company is losing more than $1 billion a year there, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick told Reuters earlier this year.
German automakers BMW AG (BMWG.DE) and Daimler AG (DAIGn.DE) have invested in car-sharing services, and also with Volkswagen AG (VOWG_p.DE) have acquired stakes in HERE, a European digital mapping company. The German automakers have said HERE will be integral to their efforts to develop self-driving cars.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCHA.MI) (FCAU.N) earlier this month struck a deal with Alphabet Inc’s Google autonomous car operation to supply 100 Pacifica minivans that Google will outfit with its self-driving vehicle technology. Both companies have portrayed this as a limited agreement – Google will not share its technology with Fiat Chrysler. The deal is the first direct collaboration on autonomous vehicle production between an automaker and Google.

Low cost advertising opportunities are out their, do you have the time to write you own listings? If you have the time then their are many ways to advertise for little or no cost, though properly writing your ads or

Low Cost Advertising Opportunities

listings may take a little more effort. Our advertising resource is just one great way to promote your business, we are locally owned and operated, offer higher rankings on the major serps than other resources that charge way more. Our basic listings are only 1.99 per month which pretty much anyone can afford, but if you want completely free simply place your ad and over the next couple days it will be live for free though for the couple bucks it is live instantly.

One thing you need to understand with short term advertising especially if you do not renew the listing is with our site your listing can get ranked for keywords so it is essential to properly write your ads incorporating important keywords at least a few time. Also remember content is King, so unlike a newspaper ad where you are charged for each letter, we only charge you for the the ad.

What is the difference between your listings and a newspaper listing? There is a lot of difference, the major one being that with a newspaper it will cost you about 10 bucks or more a day with no guarantee that anyone is even interested in what you have. That would equate to a couple hundred bucks minimum per month. With us you are looking at a couple bucks a month, have the ability to obtain rankings on the serps, add images, links, and so much more that a paper cannot offer you.

Honestly it is funny that when people spend a couple bucks online, make a sale or two they will stop advertising though that same person will spend a couple hundred in newspaper advertising not make a single sale and continue to advertise. Simply put main line media has been around for so long people think that is the only way to do business, you could not be more wrong.

What is the difference between BuckeyeAds and other sources? Cost being one difference, we are a small business so we spend a lot of time optimizing our site to continue to grow our rankings. Many larger sites do not have rankings but spend money on alternate sources of advertising to drive traffic, the alternate source charge a fortune and consequently you advertising will cost considerably more. Many business advertising resources may also simply have sales people that come a knocking or call you constantly telling you about how great they are and charge you enough that you will need to take out a second mortgage on your business but you figure since they charge so much they must be good, the reality will speak a much different tone but then it is to late.

What is the Key to obtaining rankings on a budget? Properly writing your ad or listing using keywords relevant to your website or business, you ad should be no less than 250 words, not characters. Then every 15 – 30 days modify the content a bit just to keep it fresh.

Realtors, Auto Sales, Retail outlets wanting to place many listings with a membership, simply login to your account and click on My Account, then scroll down the page and pick the membership package that fits you and start placing as many ads as you want.

Crazy Motel Story

This Crazy Motel Story day started not so different than any other day in the motel business, rented a few rooms before the evening when I had a guest come in and want a room with two beds for at first two people so I gave him the rate and he said that was great and filled out the card, I happened to notice the car outside and saw a third person popping their head up in the back seat so I asked if their was a third person? He stated that their would be three and not two so I tacked on $5.00 for the extra person.

Crazy Motel Story

Later that evening they came down to get some ice and he told me they really liked the room and loved the large flat screen television on the wall, off course I said thanks and off he went with his ice to his room. The next morning about 10 a.m. we saw him walking east on the road outside the motel, my wife asked where he came from and I stated that he was in one of the rooms I rented out back the night before. At 10:30 I gave all guest still in a courtesy call that check-out was in 30 minutes as my wife and I were going to start cleaning the rooms. About an hour late I get a call from the office that a women in the room where the guy was walking east from the motel was leaving the key on the counter, I wished her a nice day and she left.

About an hour later my wife and I were cleaning the back section rooms and had got to the room where the three people were. My wife had stated as I opened the door they probably destroyed the room but when I opened the door it was spotless and they even straightened the beds which I found odd as no one straightens the beds since I am just going to strip them anyways. When pulling down the bedspread I noticed a pillow case was missing from one of the pillow, my wife said well there that is $4.00 bucks they stole. I proceeded to strip both beds not finding the missing pillow case but I noticed a shoe under the bed and told my wife they stole the pillow case but left a shoe and I proceeded to get down on my knees to pull out the shoe, low and behold their was a foot attached to the shoe and a very small women yelled that is my foot. I stated “what the hell” as this women crawled out from under the bed and said she was just waiting for her friends to leave. Which I countered by saying that they had left over an hour ago so why was she under the beds so long, she replied she was concentrating on her breathing. My wife informed her that in all of our years in business we have never found anyone under the beds alive or dead and that was weird.

The young lady in this crazy motel story proceeded to pulled out several bags of close from under the bed and my wife could hardly hold back the laughter as she told the young lady she would have to leave. What we believe she was doing was hoping that if she remained quiet that we would not know that she was there and after we would leave she would crawl out from under the bed and get another day or two of use in the room. Unfortunately for her she came to our motel and my wife and I always look under the beds for items that might have been left such as food, clothes and more.

When she left she went west toward the gas station and called for her friends to come back and pick her up, we know this because she called the motel back and asked my wife to let her friends no where she was. My wife ask who she was and she stated the women under the bed.

A person can be very successful is his or her children grow up to be happy adults, as parents you must have done something right.

To many success is achieved when they can retire and enjoy the fruits of their life, even made more enjoyable by not having a mortgage payment on your home. Success should not be solely based on money but also on happiness.
