Hi! So I'm pretty awful at word problems so I was wondering if I could get some help with these…greatly appreciated!

Joes electric made 15 customer calls last week and 21 calls this week. How many calls must be made next week in order to maintain an average of at least 21 calls per week for the 3 week period?

A landscaping company is laying out a triangular flower bed. The height of the triangle is 15 ft. What lengths of the base will make the area at least 210ft squared.

Most insurance companies will replace a vehicle any time if an estimated repair exceeds 80% of the "blue book" value of the vehicle. Michelles insurance co. paid 9200 for repairs on her car after an accident. What can be concluded about the blue-book value of the car?

thanks SO much!

Suggestion:

1. To find the average of a 3 week period it would be (15+21+x)/3=21, so the answer would be 27.
2.The area of a triangle is 1/2bh so 1/2(15)x=210, so the answer would be 7.
3.Okay, so the equation would be .8x<9200, so the answer is 11500.
I hope this helps.

A little help here from financial experts. The car is question is 2008 Saab 9.3 Turbo, about 36K miles.

Based on Kelly Blue Book Value is about 15K to sell or 13K for trade in. The car is in excellent condition and I own about 6K on it to the bank. My question is what makes more sense financially considering that Saab is bankrupt. I assuming parts will eventually stop being made, in the near future, as dealers and service centers closed. What's the best option. Sell the car as soon as possible? Trade-in? or Pay off the car?

Suggestion:

All I had to read is "The car is question is 2008 Saab…"…then I was done!

Trade or sell it. Saab has NEVER been known for reliability. EVER! Worst car I've ever owned and I've had plenty!

Parts will be available, that's the least of your worries. I work at a Mazda Dealership and we used to have Isuzu and we still have parts in stock. Saab dealerships are required to have parts in-stock for X-number of years (not sure of how long, but they have to have them for a while…).

13K will NEVER happen on a trade. AND, neither will 15K selling it (I literally took in on trade an 05 less than an hour ago…4500.00 appraisal and he took it and ran!!! So 3 years newer is not going to get you another 9000.00! Sorry for the bad news). People have the same concerns as you, so why would anyone else want it if you don't? Kelley Blue Book is never even close. You can throw the print-out you got from kbb in the garbage.

I would either sell it, or trade it NOW, but do not expect close to what you have listed as trade in value or selling value…NEVER gonna happen! Sorry, not what you want to hear, but that's the way it is.

Either way, cut your losses and make a better decision when purchasing your next vehicle.

is there a something out there like this, i can just leave under the hood of my car.. (A built-in jumpstarter for a car battery.) That would automatically charge itself whilst the car is running then, also be a backup battery to jumpstart my car, if the main battery dies… I was thinkn maybe a battery from a car stereo, and wireing it to do this job. Now my question to do so is what path do i take, to do this professionally? All items to buy and how to wire it myself? Grabs for the idea, iwant them built into the car, also does this come standard, on a hybrid car's battery, should it not?

Suggestion:

Yes, it can be done. The big issue is where to put the spare battery but if you choose an Optima battery that is simplified a lot. RV shops will understand what you want and have all they need on hand and the know-how to make it work. With an Optima battery I would expect $500 for the whole shebang. It could really bail you out several times and can be transplanted into any car you replace yours with..

Hello !

i have a E90 2006 325i i got this code of the scanner

A0B4 CAS Engine Start Starter Operation

the car starts and drivers perfectly but sometimes when i try to start it just wont crank… i tried for over 10 mins trying to push the button the start and all the sudden it started again! day or two later same problem! iv tried with and with out jumpers and same problem after 15-20 mins it starts again,

I got a remmanufactured Bosch Starter and its a 3-4 job to replace this starter, once i installed it everything worked for 2-3 days then same exact problem, i checked to see if power is going to the starter when i push the button and it is! so im like shoot this starter is defected! so i order one from the dealer $300.00 ( reman not new )
another 3 hour of work installed the new * Reman * starter from the dealer which is Bosch again but the crank sounded much more stronger then just the Bosch Reman from part stores so im like WallAa , this is it

2-3 days later same exact problem! i changed the alternator & the battery ** From Dealer ** Same Exact problem!

when the problem happens there is power to the car igniton turns on, but no crank! power going to the starter when button pushed!

iv spent to much money and hours of labor on this car,
id appreciate any help
Thank you in advance!

Suggestion:

1) Make sure the car is in Park with the Emergency Brake on and the wheels chocked.
2) Get a friend to help you.
3) When your friend presses the Start button, measure whether voltage appears at the Solenoid terminal of the starter. If no voltage, then you know it isn't the starter. (You can prove this by jumping some voltage directly to the solenoid terminal).
4) If this is a manual transmission, then there is a switch connected to the brake system that will disable the starter if it thinks that the brake is not depressed. Sometimes that switch fails to activate.

So I bought a car that has severely depreciated. The trade in value according to KBB is 5,400 roughly i expect a dealer will try to knock it down i will not accept anything lower than 5,000. I currently owe 9,000. It is in excellent condition only have 68k miles on it and its a 2004 luxury car. Well it recently got the engine replaced but was still under warranty and I want to try to rid myself of this loan. We are currently a 2 car family and can make do with 1 car. Can i sell the car to a dealer and make payments on the difference? For example i owe 9,000 i trade it in for 5,000 and i get a loan for the remaining 4,000 I assume the dealer will want the title so they can own it. Can i make smaller payments till it has been payed off? or do i need to finance another car in order for them to do this.
I would like to get rid of it because the warranty is about to run out and i fear there may be more problems in the future seeing as the engine was replaced with a much higher mileage engine of the same quality.

Suggestion:

Why in the world would you ever accept a used engine under a warranty?! That would depreciate the vehicle more than anything else I can think of! I rather doubt if the facility that holds the title to this vehicle will allow you to sell it for any less that the balance of the loan. They would have no collateral in case you defaulted on the new personal loan. They may give you a second mortgage on your home, but I'm not sure if they would allow that. They only other possibility that I can think of is a private sale. You may get a couple of thousand more that way and then could try to get a personal loan for the other 2 K in order to get the title for the car. That would leave you with the least liability possible in your scenario.

These ultra soft microfiber towels will lift and trap dirt and moisture, leaving a clean, dry and polished surface. They are safe to use on all surfaces around the home, car, RV, motorcycle, aircraft, or boat. The towels are environmentally beneficial in that they require little to no water, reducing waste. In addition, these microfiber towels are especially adept at cleaning without the use of chemicals. Use them dry, and they will work like magic without scratching, linting, or streaking. Use them wet and they will absorb 7 to eight times their own weight in water. Microfiber works by attracting dust and other contaminants like a magnet and trapping them within its very fine microscopic filaments. The fibers are so tiny they are able to remove 99% of bacteria effortlessly. Due to their superior quality, these microfiber towels can be washed and reused hundreds of times. Care instructions: Machine wash. Tumble dry low, and do not iron. Do not use fabric softener as this would clog the microfibers and reduce performance. Do not use chlorine bleach. Wash with other non linting materials to maintain proper dirt-gripping properties.
