The site just kept Shuffliing people at a really scary rate, some of them also had their web cam turned off in which case I still tried to start a conversation. In the end not a single person replied to me. Granted I only tried text chat, it seems everybody is looking for cam2cam chat or at least voice chat. An interesting fact is that even when your own video camera is not on you can still see the strangers you are being paired with. And I can tell you that every single one of the people I saw were male hopefully only one was inappropriately broadcasting the others however for the most part seemed like normal guys I wouldn't mind starting a conversation with. If only I wasn't camera shy!

The initial process of finding you that first person might take some time but once it has started it will keep going on really fast as it has to keep up with the rate at which your strangers are hitting the Next button on you.

My second experience using ShufflePeople

One of the things I did was turn my webcam one hoping that it would give me a chance to chat with someone. Surely enough it work but the image I was sending out was apparently not clear at all and most people just gave up on me. I still managed to chat with a guy from the UK. I then decided to go without my camera again and be persistent and I did end up finding another camera-less person who chatted with me for a while and one with a cam with whom I had a good conversation going until I inadvertently hit the back button and lost him.

Just like Omegle, Chatroulette requires no registration and no download. It does not have age restrictions either. Technically you could meet babies on this site but I hope nobody is putting their baby on there.

To use Chatroulette simply go on chatroulette.com. It will activate your web cam. Your flash player will prompt you to allow access to your camera and microphone. Chatroulette is first and foremost a video chat site, however it does link to a dating site as well.
