Introducing eChristian Resources–Your source for FREE electronic Christian resources!

2013-10-11T11:59:00.001-05:00

Many of you have appreciated my occasional sharing of FREE Christian music from a couple years ago (at least my blog stats tell me you do!). I have exciting news to share with you:

I have launched a one-stop site for FREE electronic Christian resources – eChristian Resources!

The idea for the site and blog goes back at least 5 years to 2008 when I first started the Free Christian Music blog. My idea then was to share links to free and legal Christian songs “to aid people in their worship of God and to lead others to Christ through the truths conveyed in music.” That vision has expanded to a wide assortment of FREE Christian resources that are available for download on the internet. Categories include:

eBooks (Kindle/NOOK/ePub/PDF)
Music
Audiobooks
Bible Software (Logos/WORDsearch/Olive Tree)
Christian Courses
Images
some physical Christian items
and more!

My purpose in creating this site is to expand the number of people who benefit from the free deals available. So, I’ve launched eChristian Resources to be for anyone who desires electronic Christian freebies, regardless of whether they know me.

I truly believe that the Lord can and does work through the kinds of free offers I share. I’m excited to have a resource site that God can use to bring about spiritual fruit and maturity. Like I said earlier, this is a dream I’ve had for the past 5 years, and I’m so thankful the dream has finally become a reality!

Please spread the word about my new site! I want as many people as possible to benefit from what I share. It will be dedicated exclusively to free deals for the above mentioned categories and more.

If you come across a free deal you think I should include on my new site, please contact me here.

If you have followed this blog for the free Christian music, then please follow eChristian Resources! I also invite you to like my new site on Facebook and follow me on Twitter.

Thank you to all of you who have ever visited this blog! I am excited to continue to connect with you at my new site.

Soli Deo Gloria,
Dan Radke

Note: This site, Free Christian Stuff, will no longer be updated. Visit my new site for the latest free offers!

Resurrection Sunday

2008-03-23T10:22:00.000-05:00

"The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.'"
- Matthew 28:5-6 NIV

Happy Easter!

Today is a day of remembering victory. By rising on the third day Jesus proved that He is Lord over death and sin. It is because we worship a Risen Lord who is alive that we have life. If our beliefs were like every other religion, which all have founders that remain dead, then our faith would be meaningless and our efforts in vain. But, this is not the case! The God whom we serve is alive and well! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! The good news of Easter Sunday is the very reason for it: the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is because of His life, sacrifice, death, and resurrection that we have any hope in eternal life or drawing near to God. Praise be to Him! Let us live our lives in proper response to this amazing God who gave Himself up as a ransom for many!

As promised throughout this week, we do have a special treat for everybody! As we've previously mentioned it is a finding that we found a while ago and have saved for the right occasion. On this day of Jesus' victory, we find it appropriate to reveal it! So, here it is:

25 FREE songs from such artists as Amy Grant, Jump5, Avalon, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Bethany Dillon, Newsboys, dc Talk, Petra, Rebecca St. James, Sanctus Real, Delirious, Steven Curtis Chapman, Audio Adrenaline, and others! We hope you enjoy this fantastic offering!

Holy Week Songs

2008-03-20T10:50:00.000-05:00

As promised, this is the post featuring songs with Easter and Good Friday related-themes. Before you begin going through the songs, we recommend reading our earlier Holy Week post.

The order of the songs below is purely in the order in which they've been posted, not in any order signifying favorites.

Take No Glory - "He Didn't Die In Vain"

Right click the link above and choose "Save target as..."

Jeremy Camp - "Give Me Jesus"

33 Miles - "Salvation Has A Name"

Keith and Kristyn Getty - “The Power Of The Cross”

Charizma - "Run To God"

Michael Olson - "On The Third Day"

Shane & Shane - "Saved By Grace"

Pocket Full of Rocks - "At The Cross"

Our hope is that the previous songs can help you in this time of reflecting on Good Friday and Easter and what they really mean. We suggest listening to each song and really meditating on what it means. Have an ear open for God to speak to you while you partake in listening and meditating on these songs and Himself. Find some Scriptures that relate to Good Friday/Easter, or maybe to something that you're going through, and really meditate on what God wants to communicate to you. May He bless you in this time!

Also, don't forget to check back on Sunday to get your special Easter gift :)

Holy Week

2008-03-16T08:41:00.000-05:00

Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
"Hosanna!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
- Mark 11:9 NIV

Today we begin the journey of remembering and celebrating Holy Week, the week in which Jesus entered Jerusalem. During this week several key things occurred:

Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey and was welcomed as coming from God

Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus and brought Roman guards to arrest Him

Jesus was sentenced to be crucified, died on a cross, and was put into a grave

On the third day, Jesus rose from the grave proving that He is Lord over sin and death

All of these events have significance to our lives. It is because these events actually occurred as history that we have salvation. If they were mere myths, our salvation would not be real. It is because God chose to step down into our history and be a man and go through all of these events that we have salvation. The Creator of everything made the decision to be one of the created in bodily form and allow His creations to crucify Him on a cross. But, that wasn't the end of things - He conquered sin and death by rising again! Wow...what a God we serve!

We hope this week you'll take some time to reflect on what Jesus has done for you, and that you'll have a renewed sense of purpose from doing so. We worship a marvelous God who is infinitely worth more than the worship we give Him! Let us never forget that!

Later this week we'll post some links highlighting several songs that specifically contain Holy Week and Easter related themes. Our hope is that they'll serve to help you draw closer to God! So, stay tuned for those!

Also, we are planning on giving you all a special treat on Easter Sunday! It's a finding that we've been saving for a short while for a special occasion and Easter fits this exactly! So, please come back here to get these special gifts!

May God bless you this week and don't forget to share the joy of Christ with those who don't know Him!

Shane & Shane - "Saved By Grace"

2008-03-15T15:03:00.000-05:00

Officially this song is called "Saved By Grace," but its filename implies the title of "The Gospel Song" which I think is fitting for this song. The idea is that we have been saved by grace alone, not by works, and this is fundamentally the Gospel. So, remember this as you listen to these truths expressed through music, and consider sharing this song with a friend who needs to hear the Good News!

3 songs from Meredith Andrews

Because these songs are on MySpace, you must have an account and you must be logged into MySpace in order to download them.

2 songs from Third Day

2008-03-12T12:07:00.000-05:00

These songs are two of Third Day's more recent hits. I've always enjoyed listening to Third Day music, and I think you'll enjoy them too if you don't already! The songs are "Tunnel" and "Cry Out To Jesus". Both contain great messages of hope and putting trust in Jesus. May these songs help you in your pursuit of deeper intimacy with Christ! Once again, special thanks to Josh!

I think this will be the last time I mention this - membership is NOT required at MyCCM to download songs.

2 songs from Red

2008-03-12T12:02:00.000-05:00

Our friend Josh told us about this opportunity at the MyCCM site. The two songs from this artist are "Let Go" and "Breathe Into Me". I really enjoyed the second song - it's a cry out to God for Him to breathe into our lives. Let that be our prayer!

Note: As is true with any songs from artists’ profiles at MyCCM,
membership is not required.
