I've just got to visit Washington, DC next spring. I would love to tour all the public buildings and gardens, and I'd especially like to see the cherry trees in bloom. I drew this cherry blossom coloring page a few weeks after the horrible earthquake and tsunami in Japan, trying to keep a pleasant memory of a beautiful nation alive in my mind. I visited Tokyo's national garden during a business trip in 1995 and I still remember the beautiful landscaping there as well as the lovely park in Yokohama along the waterfront.
