This constitutes a 44.3% increase over the first half year of 2009. Gross profit increased strongly by 42.2% from CHF 18.4 million to CHF 26.2 million. EBIT for the first half year of 2010 was CHF 7.6 million and net profit of CHF 6.0 million were higher by 293% in comparison to the same period in 2009.

Moscow, Russia (RIA Novosti) Sep 03, 2010 – Russia’s Proton-M carrier rocket put three GLONASS satellites into orbit on Thursday, a spokesman for the Russian Space Forces said. The Proton-M rocket blasted off from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan at 4:53 Moscow time (0:53 GMT). “The launch and flight of the carrier rocket, as well as the separation of the satellites, took place on schedule,” Alexei Zolotukhin said. He also said the satellites’ onboard systems were working well. Glonass – the Global Navigation Satellite System – is the Russian equivalent of the U.S. Global Positioning System, or GPS, and is designed for both military and civilian use. Today’s GLONASS launch was successful, according to reports from the Russian Space Agency, Roscosmos. Launch occurred at 00:53:50 UTC, and the three satellites were released from the DM-2 upper stage of the launch rocket at 04:26 UTC. According to Roscosmos, by 05:08 UTC all three spacecraft were under control.
