Japan earthquake triggers tsunami, Tokyo's main airport was closed. A large section of the ceiling at the 1-year-old airport at Ibaraki, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo, fell to the floor with a powerful crash.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said a tsunami warning was in effect for Japan, Russia, Marcus Island and the Northern Marianas. A tsunami watch has been issued for Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and the U.S. state of Hawaii.

In central Tokyo, trains were stopped and passengers walked along the tracks to platforms. NHK said more than 4 million buildings without power in Tokyo and its suburbs.

TV footage showed a large building on fire and bellowing smoke in the Odaiba district of Tokyo.

Dozens of fires were reported in northern prefectures of Fukushima, Sendai, Iwate and Ibaraki. Houses collapsing and landslides were also reported in Miyagi.

The 2011 Sendai earthquake and tsunami was an 8.9-magnitude earthquake and resultant tsunami waves.The Japan Meteorological Agency's tsunami warning listed the magnitude as 8.8.It was located off the east coast of Tohoku, Japan on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 05:46:23 UTC at a depth of 32 km (20 miles).

The earthquake triggered a tsunami warning for Japan's Pacific coast and various other countries, including New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Guam, Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Nauru, Hawaii, Northern Marianas (USA) and Taiwan.

The tsunami warning issued by Japan was the most serious on its warning scale, implying that the wave was expected to be 10 meters high.A 0.5 meter high wave hit Japan's northern coast.

Two new MacBook Air models are displayed during an Apple special event at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California. Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the new MacBook Air in eleven and thirteen inch models starting at $999. He also announced the OSX Lion operating system for Mac computers.

First and foremost, the new OS X will have integration with the Mac App store. This store could solve a lot of problems that kept Apple behind the PC for so many years. With the Mac App store, independent developers will be able to essentially create software for the Mac there were previous several barriers to entry with this before.

Touch capabilities via the trackpad will be enhanced, and there will be a new “launchpad” which many claim will integrate nicely with the Mac App store functionality.

Furthermore, even though Lion was unveiled, Jobs said there’s “more to come” which could indicate that well there’s more to come. Apple is great at waiting until the right time to release the right information. If the current features are only a taste, I can only imagine how awesome the rest of the New Mac OS X Lion 10.7 will be.

But why should any multiple murderer and no one can guarantee none of them will ever get parole get a two for one (or three-for-one, or 10-for-one) discount on their period of parole ineligibility?

While it's too late for the Williams' case, the Conservative government has introduced legislation allowing judges to apply each murder conviction in the case of multiple murderers to the period of parole ineligibility.

For a second-degree murderer convicted of two killings, where, depending on the circumstances, the sentence is life with no chance of parole for 10 up to 25 years, the judge could increase the period of parole ineligibility to 20 to 50 years.

A fire continues to burn inside the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville where a SWAT situation took place Thursday afternoon.The thick, black smoke was visible as far away as Sacramento on Highway 50.

After Piggee was in custody, the danger wasn't over. Even though thick smoke poured out of the roof, firefighters were kept from going inside because of a backpack Piggee left behind and the possibility of an explosive device.

Roseville Police Lt. Michael Doane said the bomb squad was getting ready to examine the backpack, but the fire flared up and technicians were forced to retreat for their own safety.

Pigee did not make any bomb threat, but he claimed to be carrying a gun, according to police.

For more than four hours, smoke poured from the roof of the mall, even though sprinklers were activated inside. Division Fire Chief Dennis Matheson said crews were kept from the fire because the bomb squad had not given an all-clear signal.

Tod Williams’”Paranormal Activity 2,” a sequel-prequel to Oren Peli’s scruffy, much-tinkered with no-budget hit is a confident, cocky and often comic promenade down the same primrose path. It had multiple writers which give it funnier touch for its first half, and a far more conventional one in its last half. Stakes are raised, the effects are more special.

“Paranormal Activity” worked by lulling us, feeding the viewer banality and inactivity until a tiny thing — a door opening, a shadow — jolted you into awareness. Williams and Co. aren’t nearly that subtle. But the best effects are still the simplest — a pool vacuum that crawls out of the water, by itself, in time-lapse, a dog alert to something we don’t see, a toddler excitably waddling over to a mirror.

It’s not a bad movie, far less graphic than most studio or indie horror these days. Even at less than 90 minutes, it takes its time to lull us into a false sense of security. But the horror movie tropes that turn up make this “Paranormal” feelsa lot more “normal” than it needs to.

23-year-old Dayna Kempson Schacht was killed instantly in a car crash on July 17th, when she lost control of her car and hit a row of trees just off Highway 19-41 near Griffin, Georgia. Minutes after the accident, firefighters had arrived and one of them made a video in his cell phone of the devastated dead body of Dayna Kempson Schacht.

Not only did the firefighter took the footage, but also shared it with his colleagues. Later, the video found Dayna's father, Kempson, too.In an interview, Kempson said, "It was bad enough that we lost our daughter. And now we have to deal with something like this, it's just beyond words."

Terming the video as a second trauma and feeling that the video has disgraced their daughter Kempson added, "How could someone, first of all, take the video. And second of all, how could they show it and discuss it."

An investigation is underway by the Spalding County sheriff's department so as to find the reason behind sharing of the video.

Spirit Day honors the teenagers who had taken their own lives in recent weeks. But just as importantly, it’s also a way to show the hundreds of thousands of LGBT youth who face the same pressures and bullying, that there is a vast community of people who support them.

James Harrison, Jr. is an American football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at Kent State.

Click "next" and then "e registration information" page will appear.

On the "e Registration Information"page, dealer should enter /select details such as PAN, location, name of business, name of applicant, status of applicant and Act. Applications under MVAT Act and CST Act shall be made electronically. For the time being applications for registration under all other Acts such as Profession Tax Act, Luxury Tax Act, Maharashtra Tax on the Entry of Goods into Local Areas Act and Sugarcane Purchase Tax Act should be submitted manually.

After the information on the "e Registration Information" page is entered, the dealer should click"next".

E-application under MVAT Act will open.

Request id of the dealer will be appear on upper corner of this left side in red letters. Once Request id is generated , the information entered / selected on ' e-Registration Information Page' will not be editable hence dealer has to ensure that information filled on ' e-Registration Information Page' is correct before clicking the next option.This request ID and PAN should be noted. If dealer wants to fill e-application in multisession , then dealer should enter this request ID and PAN in "Retrival of Partially Filled Data " window which appears on e-Registraion Information page.
Information in the form should be completely filled either by entering in the relevant fields or selecting from the given lists and then "submit" button should be clicked.. In case a dealer has opted for CST also, then the CST e-application form will open. The data in the fields common to both VAT and CST shall get populated for the ease of the applicant. Remaining fields are expected to be entered/selected by the applicant.

In case the data in any of the fields is not entered, then the applicant would get error message and would be prompted to enter the said data.

After the completely filled application form is submitted (uploaded) then the acknowledgment containing date and time for attending before Registering Authority along with code/designation and address of Registering Authority would be generated. This acknowledgment can be saved and should be printed for producing before the registering authority. The dealer should also save the downloadable MVAT and CST e-application form of registration and should take out a print of it.

The proprietor, partner, karta, Director, as the case may be are required to sign at relevant place/places on the print out of the application so taken and submit it to the concerned Registration Authority at the time of verification and photo attestation on given date and time along with relevant documents. In case of voluntary registration signature of "introducer" should also be obtained.

If the application is correct and complete in all respect along with relevant documents then Registering Authority will generate TIN after verification. Registration certificates shall be printed and issued to the dealer on the appointed day. In case the the application is eligible for granting registration, then the date of uploading the application shall be considered as the date of application for the purpose of determining the effective date of MVAT RC. In case the dealer has uploaded CST application also, then for the purpose of determining the CST RC effective date, the date of uploading CST application shall be considered as the application date.
