There is so much buzz in our industry involving how to effectively use attraction marketing, web 2.0 and social marketing to build your mlm business. Many fail to do this effectively because they revert back to advertising instead of marketing.

According to Val Smyth, marketing is the art and science of helping another human being based on their needs an not your own.

This is a great definition and goes along with what I've been studying with concerns to mlm leadership. If you want to build a great online income then you must master the art of influence.

We all influence other people whether we recognize it or not. Your ability to influence others has little to do with your background, your parents, your social economic status or even your education. I've personally been applying the principles of influence every day as I use the latest in web 2.0, attraction marketing and social marketing techniques.

Each and every day I have people call or email telling me about how they found me and why they decided to contact me. For them it was chance that brought us together. For me it was a specific methodology of practicing influence.

I don't use these influence techniques as a form of manipulation in my mlm leadership style. Someone will sense you are trying to manipulate them and it will turn out bad for you. You must learn to practice sharing yourself, your values and your desires through influence.

I want to give you a few examples of how I utilize attraction marketing, web 2.0 and social marketing to influence others.

Free Monavie Leads and Free Ameriplan Leads?

Some will come to this article and not finish reading. That's ok, I understand that you think that free monavie leads and free ameriplan leads is not really possible, right?

Wrong!

I have been involved in our industry a little over 2 years. I failed miserably the first 14 months because I took to advice of my sponsor, upline and company.

- I made a list of everyone I knew...

- I invited them to a live conference call or my company generated website...

- I followed up with them until they blocked my phone number or went the other way when they saw me...

- I then bought biz opp leads and called 100's a day to signup 1-2 per week.

- I tried to teach these people to do the same and after months of this all I had was a group of around 30 that was shrinking.

- I plugged into resources online that were supposed to help me and attended live trainings.

I spent thousands on my education in effort to build the "old school" way. Can that work for some? Yes, but with and industry failure rate of 97%, I would say it is mostly innefective. So, did I throw in the towell and not achieve my dream or residual income? Nope.

The question I'd like to answer today is, "Are free leads really possible?" Another follow up question to this would be, "Are free leads worth anything?"
