You know that I,
Couldn't find my way back home,
Set in stone,
All that went wrong,
Oh child,
Carry on.

But I pray,
To myself,
To find another,
Reason to touch life,
Alone on a lost road,
Alone on a lost road,
I light my way,
I light my way.

It was on a September morning.
My mother passed away.
God called her home.
He called her home to stay.
With every sunrise, I see her face.
In my heart, no one can take her place.
Christmas is coming.
It is so very near.
Bringing thoughts of my mother.
Whom I miss so dear.
So I'm sending a card to Heaven.
It floats upon my prayer.
One day in Heaven dear mother.
We will all have Christmas there.

Welcome to the land that is not so far away
Where the mountains sing and the dead leaves unruly play
Where the dark skinned toddlers, shyly clothed
Amuse themselves ignorantly in the thrashing fields
Brimming with mystery and rustic enchantment
Gallantly chasing the whistling
That the sage wind so gracefully yields
Welcome brothers to the land where the noble settlers
Once skipped so gingerly through its vast expanse
Hunting in packs to defend this misunderstood place
Against the ruthless, unnatural invader
From the land of legend and tales to far away
Welcome sisters to the land where the poplar grow
In its scattered abundance
Its fiery Autumn shedding, gilds the tranquil
Waters of its inseperable soul mate
With a splendour or orange and gold.
Welcome venerable wanderers to the land
Where demented apparitions guard their Former white towers
The creative mind strolling in secluded graveyards
Pining for the love ones they have left behind
Welcome one and all to the place where the Celestial giants
brilliantly carry on in their heavenly games
The regal spectacle viewing
on the black screen of the astral drive-in
For the simple traveller
Bewitched by the allure of mother earths diamond in the rough
Welcome to the Karoo!

Can you smell that?
It’s the smell of burning flesh
On the pyres of democracy.
O! Capitalists unite!
In the face of chaos
All men turn to animals.
In arenas of fame and fortune
Imposter gladiators wave their plastic swords;
Cheered on by their slaves
Who have known no other life.
Born into a world of hypocrisy
And faceless gods.
O! Capitalists unite! O! Capitalists unite.
The free world is burning.
Your free world is burning.
the grit beneath my feet,
easier than it should.

Rain drips down my brow
as the fog lifts away from
sprinting thoughts.

As if the beads of sweat are
life's burdens,
my mind clears as the taste of
blood returns
and a deep mist bellows from my lungs.

The place I go to,
without hiding,
where nobody can find me.
Thoughtless yet mindful.
Deep solitude amongst
passing cars, spray painted postboxes
and abandoned trolleys.

Where the leaves crunch,
twigs crack and the tarmac
is a black lake set against
rows of false trees.

Never running away, as
no such place exists.
There's nowhere to run to
and nothing to run from
except myself.

In his eyes I saw my future,
In his tone I found love,
In his kindness I found hope,
In every day his thought haunted me more,
In my heart a blend of love formed,
In my head the thought scared me like a trapped animal,
I had to fight my conscience which fought between itself,
The decision to make was intriguing,
The step to take was like a dug grave,
Mixed emotions, Poor choices,
Like a thief I vanished,
A mending heart was all he was left with.........

Sometime we dont want to look for the one we love:
We hope they find the path towards us,
Sometime you wish your best friend was there to hold your hand in time of the rough patches:
Only to find strangers circumnavigating your life,
Sometime we choose the path we think its right:
Only to realize it doesnt feel right,
Sometime we cry tears of people who within us are treasures:
Only to realize they never valued any drop nor were they worth:
In the end sometimes forms most part of our lives:...

As mush as I love you,
This is the end of the road:
You became my past when you used to be my present:
You became my torture when you used to be my inspiration:
You became unknown when I used to read your mind:
I knew every bone of you: I knew your heart:I knew your soul:
You are my love: you are my past...
The deep silence
No one speaks on the other end:

Deep down I have the feeling;
Deep down I wish it was his:
Nevertheless: I was a lost memory to him:
I should move on: But my heart holds back:
I should stay strong but his thoughts keeps me weak:
A response in the other end: A voice far from what I thought:
My sunken heart: My unaswered prayers:

My imagination was getting the best of me:....

The evening has not been all
it might have been disappointment
hangs in the air
the moment itself seems to yawn
I'm out of tricks
but
still we play cards
you smile, knowing you have an unbeatable hand
I
bluff, knowing full well
you won't buy it
but I am, as always, killing
Time
-but Time won't die
the table awaits no supper
I pull up another
card
but it's no winner
the shadows are watching
the ceiling looks down
on our hands
I wish I could throw away the cards
-a Joker flying
straight in your face-
I'd cry,"it's not a game!"
you smile and hold
your cards
close to your chest
the evening is not getting younger
but it
looks like we'll be here
a long, long Time,
me playing for Time
you
playing with Time
holding and smiling
as if to say,
"I've got you
right where I want you. We're going nowhere.
Let's go there together
and
we'll find out who the real winner is...."
the room's emptiness spreads
all about
casting a blanket on all and
catching no
one's
breath....

Feel this moment,
breathe it in,
life is just about to begin,
I cannot hear a thing,
my ears, all they do is ring.
I can’t say I like you much,
though I wish it could be as such.
When you hold me,
do you see the way I flinch,
It’s subtle and simple, not even an inch.
You tear me down,
you push me around,
you’re ripping my soul,
leaving a big black hole.
My heart is far gone,
I pour it out into a song,
nothing I’ve done,
deserves to have no one,
no love or affection,
I shouldn’t let you in,
stop breaking my heart,
you’ve done this from the start,
it’s like my wrist is in a handcuff,
I think I’ve had enough.

Everything is beautiful
Everything in life
Yet sometimes it seems
The lives we lead
Mask beauty that's so rife

The birds, the bees
The sound of the trees
Nature so pure and tender
Ever so green
Yet covered by our lives

If only we stood back
If not for a moment
Forgot where life might lead
And remembered "what will be will be"

If only we stood back
Clearer venture lies ahead
Gone is doubt fear and dread
Alone brave
unlike the past
Self preservation now at last
Protected by Father heaven
above
Bathed in goodness lost in love
Still searching for one true

Send the angel peace like a dove

Time passes us by so fast
Each time we blink our eyes, it becomes our
past.
Time is running away like a freight train
Leaving behind on its
tracks, sorrow and pain.
Time changes a healthy person into a frail human
being
Leaving them limited in doing certain things.
Time changes the
color of our hair
our skin is no longer smooth or fair
Time has a season
for everything
A time to be born, a time to die,
A time to weep and a
time to sing.
Time robs us of our father or mother sister or brother.
One
day we will answer God’s final roll call
then time will end for us
all.
One day the last breath will be drawn from you and I
As we softly
whisper our last goodbye.
God created time at the beginning of
creation
He will end it at the end of Revelation
For every child, woman
and man
God holds time in the palm of his hand
Time changes our seasons
each year
We adore each one so dear
Time changes the leaves on the
trees
And the waves on the sea
If I could turn back the hand of time
There
would not be any hate or crime
As children we were told
Time turns young
into old
God will roll back the curtain of time one day
To show us our
eternal home in its fine array
Time takes no holiday
It passes quickly by
night and day.

It is the day of Onam
I would like to write a
poem
Celebrated in the Gods Own Country
Right from common people to
manthri
Familes make yummy dishes
And this is one of my wishes
Floral
decorations in front of the home
I can’t wait for this day to come
Avial,
kalan, Olan, Ellisheree
Sambhar, pappad, pickle and pulianjee
The final
feast ends with a payasam
Semia or Adda that you will like to have
some.
The feast is mostly vegetarian
Neither egg nor any
non-vegetarian
Drumsticks is used in most of the dish
In Avial, Sambhar
and every other food you wish
Makes your lunch delicious
And the
hospitality is mostly gracious
You will go home with a pot belly
For
sure, I am not talking silly.

The wind that fades my tears

The love that is sincer in my heart

Am living a life full of pain

Am living a life full of lies

Am living a life towards destruction

Am living a life full of pretence

A life :not from my heart,

A life far from my thought

A nightmare it is.

Our life is a mere illusion
We are under incredible delusion
The sun neither sets in the west
Nor does it rise in the east
The earth seems to be standing
The Sun looks is it were moving
The star we see is not there
It has gone afar
We think as though we live for ever
We hate our very neighbour
And neglect even our life giver
How do we feel when the earth does tremor?
We may climb the Mount Everest
Can we stop any tempest?
We might have set our foot on the moon
Before God we are like a baby in its with a spoon
Unless we come out of our cocoon
We will never see the brightness of the Sun at noon

An island is what I left behind

A treasure is what I conquered ahead

The tears enrolled were to much to bear

the broken souls kept rigging through my mind

The trust withheld I lost it all

the pride I had faded like the watery paint

In a life time I had it all: in a minute I lost it through the drain

I had to leave: I had to move on

To greener pastures that were like an oasis to many eyes foreseen.
