CME overtakes OKEx as largest Bitcoin futures market

CME Group has become the world’s largest Bitcoin (BTC) futures market following a surge in open interest over the past month, industry data shows.

In a Friday tweet, Arcane Research announced that CME had overtaken OKEx as the world’s largest Bitcoin futures market. Citing data from Skew, a market intelligence firm, Arcane said open interest in CME’s Bitcoin futures contract has reached $1.16 billion. OKEx, meanwhile, registered $1.07 billion.

“Institutional investors are here,” Arcane said.

CME’s Bitcoin futures market has more than doubled over the past month, with more traders seeking exposure to the flagship cryptocurrency as it surged to near all-time highs. Futures trading can sometimes invoke heavy volatility, especially as expiry nears, as contract holders adjust their positions before that date.

Its November futures contract, BTCX20, expires on Friday.

Cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Huobi have also emerged as major futures players. Based on open interest, they are the third- and fourth-largest BTC futures platforms, respectively.

Bybit, which also appeared on Arcane’s list, announced earlier this week that it will soon launch a quarterly Bitcoin futures contract.

The futures market is an important bellwether for Bitcoin adoption because it means traditional investors are getting into the mix. While the 2017 bull market was driven largely by retail traders, the current uptrend has been fueled by deeper institutional pockets.

CME, in particular, is becoming vital to Bitcoin price discovery, according to investment manager Wilshire Phoenix.

CME’s significance is “not only demonstrated through trading volume and open interest,” Wilshire said, “but also by influence on spot price formation.

Bitcoin price is currently consolidating in the $16,500 range following a heavy Thanksgiving day sell-off.

Institutional money may propel Bitcoin

Bitcoin may hit $150,000 by November 2021, according to Raoul Pal, founder and CEO of Global Macro Investor and Real Vision — and that would be the most conservative scenario. Pal believes that Bitcoin could even reach $250,000 due to the large amount of institutional money currently flowing into the Bitcoin market.

That is what, according to Pal, makes the latest Bitcoin rally fundamentally different from 2017’s crypto bubble, which is believed to have been driven mainly by retail investors.

According to Pal, most of Bitcoin's additional supply is currently being absorbed by PayPal, Square — which recently adopted crypto services — and Grayscale. He believes that the resulting supply squeeze is the catalyst for Bitcoin’s latest surge.

“I've never seen a market with this supply and demand imbalance before”, Pal said, pointing out the macroeconomic factors that are playing in Bitcoin’s favor.

Despite news on the coronavirus vaccine sparking hopes of a quick economic recovery, governments will likely need to release additional monetary stimulus to sustain their economies. That, according to Pal, will lead to a devaluation of fiat. He believes that this together with low-interest rates will propel Bitcoin's price to new highs.

"It's life-changing. No other asset has an upside of 5x, 10x, 20x in a short space of time," he stated.

Cryptocurrency exchanges have an important role in driving adoption around the world, but even the biggest operations face significant challenges when trying to expand their services. The advent of Bitcoin (BTC) and the subsequent development and launch of numerous other cryptocurrencies have changed the way people look at transacting across the world. Dependency on traditional banking systems is no longer the only option available to people.

Blockchain networks and cryptocurrencies are able to bypass conventional financial systems and allow people to transact directly, without having to go through a centralized institution. In an ideal, cryptographically secure world, users would transact peer-to-peer, but there are some barriers to entry for the uninitiated. In a recent interview with Cointelegraph, Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance who is otherwise known as “CZ,” stressed the importance of having a "global mindset" while maintaining a sustainable business model. In order to do this, CZ believes that exchanges need to understand the specific needs of users in different regions. “We have different approaches for various markets,” he further told Cointelegraph, adding:

“To run a global business, we have to make sure we are always offering a solid infrastructure for the users and enhance their experience, which is especially important for the 24/7 crypto space. Then, we have team members from different communities to provide customized products and services to a local market, and ensure our marketing strategy is aligned with local culture, custom and language.”

Huobi’s head of global business and markets, Ciara Sun, shared a similar idea, highlighting two major considerations that the exchange has focused on since its founding: localization and regulatory compliance. Sun told Cointelegraph that having a sound grasp of the wants and needs of users is a driving factor in launching exchange support in new regions:

“Localization doesn’t just mean offering the exchange in a new language. Users in different markets and regions each have different preferences, habits, and requirements, so we need to adapt to each audience and provide local users with highly tailored experiences.”

As Sun explains, understanding why users in specific countries or regions are looking to use cryptocurrencies also provides some insights into what sort of offerings will work in different places: “We spend a lot of time learning the intricacies of a new market before we enter it.”

Cryptocurrency adoption is slowly but surely making its way to the mainstream — a notion that has become more apparent as major retailers like PayPal announce support for digital currencies. As such, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that crypto holders may be keen to spend some of their digital currency this holiday season.

According to a new report from Forrester and blockchain payments service provider BitPay, cryptocurrency adopters tend to spend more than other consumers. Based on interviews with BitPay merchants, the report noted that cryptocurrency users have an average order value of $450, compared to about $200 for non-cryptocurrency users.

Merrick Theobald, vice president of marketing for BitPay, told Cointelegraph that often times when the price of Bitcoin increases, there is also an increase in payment transactions:

He further commented that jewelry, electronic retailers, and other industries often faced with fraudulent transactions are offering special discounts for payments made in crypto.

The Big Four Are Gearing Up to Become Crypto and Blockchain Auditors

Blockchain technology, along with the adoption of cryptocurrencies, is gaining momentum. The enterprise blockchain market is expected to reach $21 billion over the next five years. Just eleven years on, and both sectors have matured greatly, resulting in well-established organizations taking the technology more seriously as they tackle challenges that come with implementing blockchain and the use of digital assets.

Unsurprisingly, professional services giants are among those taking a larger role in tackling new market challenges. The Big Four firms and Fortune 500 companies are working with a number of blockchain and crypto companies on ways to combat regulatory uncertainty, interoperability challenges, consensus models and development of the technology. Henri Arslanian, PwC’s global crypto leader, told Cointelegraph that the Big Four firms specifically have a very important role to play in the advancement of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, saying:

“Although Bitcoin was designed with a trustless ideology, the reality is that the industry still requires trusted entities to catalyze the development of the ecosystem.”

Arslanian noted that when he first joined PwC three years ago, not many people took crypto seriously. However, he saw fast growth, which drove the company’s Hong Kong firm to start accepting Bitcoin payments from clients two years ago. Since then, PwC has formed “crypto teams” in 20 countries, consisting of 200 people in total that work on crypto-related projects. “Just within the cryptocurrency sector, we’ve conducted over 350 engagements in the last 18 months,” Arslanian said. PwC’s crypto teams are not only focused on tax and accounting challenges, but audit and assurance services are also in demand. Arslanian explained:

“Over the last couple of months, we’ve expanded our work. We recently closed the first ever crypto fundraising deal at PwC, in which we led a $14 million series A round for a Swiss-based crypto firm with Asian family offices. We are also the auditor for BC Group, a publicly listed crypto company in Hong Kong.”

Last year, Big Four firm KPMG as well as Forbes Insights conducted a survey to determine how important auditing and blockchain expertise is for finance executives. The findings show that 79% of these professionals expect their auditor to provide an understanding of blockchain’s impact on their business or the financial reporting environment.

“SEC issuers will want to design blockchain technologies to support the entity’s internal control over financial reporting. Being able to demonstrate how these technologies achieve their objectives in a well-controlled environment is critical to a successful blockchain strategy. If the technology is not auditable, the immense benefits it brings, such as increasing efficiencies and cutting costs, may not be realized.”

Helping build out blockchain systems

While Big Four firms are able to shed light on auditing for crypto companies, each of them are also working on building blockchain systems. For example, KPMG offers a number of blockchain-based software solutions. Arun Ghosh, KPMG’s U.S. blockchain lead, told Cointelegraph that the firm saw a marked increase in revenue coming from blockchain initiatives last year.

Ghosh explained that recent KPMG projects have been primarily related to defining blockchain strategies, participant onboarding, and governance and operating models. Last year, KPMG helped Microsoft, Tomia and R3 create a blockchain solution for the telecom industry in preparation for 5G networks.

Ghosh further noted that the firm has seen increasing interest in the use of blockchain in combination with other technologies such as IoT, AI and machine learning. In February, KPMG announced a new U.S. patent for a blockchain-based method designed to increase trust in AI data management practices. Ghosh mentioned that this is an important development for KPMG, as it demonstrates how critical the convergence of AI and blockchain is to enable trusted artificial intelligence. He predicts that the coronavirus pandemic will fuel these models, saying:

“In the coming years, we expect growth in enterprise blockchain and network-based models that support ‘COVID safe’ supplies, identities and products. This is already being seen as there is increasing intersectionality with other technologies like IoT, AI and Machine Learning.”

Big Four firm EY is also driving innovation in the blockchain space. EY’s global blockchain leader, Paul Brody, previously told Cointelegraph that the firm has been working with Microsoft and ConsenSys to develop an open-source blockchain project called Baseline Protocol, which runs on the public Ethereum mainnet.

According to Brody, Baseline Protocol attempts to solve the challenges associated with enterprises using public blockchain networks. On May 21, Baseline Protocol published a demo highlighting the ability for multiple companies to digitally manage purchase orders and volume discount agreements across disparate systems on Ethereum. This aims to show how enterprises can securely collaborate over the Ethereum network without exposing valuable data.

Fortune Global 500 company, Accenture, is also working on a number of blockchain solutions with senior managing director and global blockchain lead, David Treat, telling Cointelegraph that the firm is focused on using blockchain systems to drive digital identity, supply chain management and financial infrastructure.

In 2018, Accenture collaborated with Digital Ventures, a fintech subsidiary of Thailand’s Siam Commercial Bank, to launch a distributed ledger technology solution to simplify the way companies buy and sell goods and obtain financing. Built on R3’s open-source Corda platform, the solution reduces the need for physical billing in addition to invoice financing time while preventing fraudulent activity. According to Treat, this use case demonstrates how DLT can be applied for track-and-trace supply chain work, which is relevant for personal protective equipment being used during the current pandemic, adding:

“Through the use of DLT, we have created a new revenue stream and service for small-to- medium sized enterprises, which is important in order to get global economies moving again.”

More recently, Accenture collaborated with Fujitsu on an open-source software development kit called Hyperledger Cactus, which is designed to solve blockchain interoperability challenges. Treat further noted that another project with Hyperledger is in the incubation stage, mentioning the company has 160 blockchain patents. He elaborated:

“We are not a product company, but rather we engage with clients to choose a platform that best suits their specific needs. We spend a lot of time building preferred strategic alliances with ecosystem partners. Across the board, these partnerships with product and platform providers allow us to bring the right answers to our clients.”

Big Four firm Deloitte and the World Economic Forum also recently released a report on blockchain interoperability. The report brings up a key finding, noting that although blockchains are built for specific industry ecosystems, the technology may work better if all of these were linked together under one framework.

Bull Trap Warnings After Bitcoin Price Shoots Up

After dropping to a low of $16,300 per coin, bitcoin (BTC) has rebounded 11.3% to where the price stands today at $18,138 per unit. BTC is still up 33% for the last 30 days, 54% for the last 90 days, and 139% against USD for the last 12 months. Bitcoin’s dominance index, in comparison with the 7,500+ crypto assets’ market caps, is currently just above the 63% handle.

Bull Trap Warnings After Bitcoin Shoots Above $18k Handle The entire crypto-economy on Sunday, November 29, 2020, is hovering around $526.5 billion and there’s roughly $30.50 billion in global trade volume today. The biggest cryptocurrency gains today were captured by zap (ZAP), which is up 71% in 24 hours. The largest losses today stem from carvertical (CV), which is down over 59% on Sunday morning (EST).

“BTC is back at its all-time high levels, but what is worth noting is the valuation of the altcoins which are on average still 50% below their all-time highs,” the Head of Trading at NEM, Nicholas Pelecanos said. “Some altcoins represent projects that are no longer functioning, yet other projects have seen tremendous development on both adoption and tech. For me, catching these undervalued altcoins is now the trade to be made,” Pelecanos added.

Other analysts assume that the demand for bitcoin (BTC) and other crypto assets stem from Millennials and the Gen Z generation.

“The steady rise of Bitcoin in 2020 has not only continued, but accelerated, during times of political and economic uncertainty. As a whole, the world is looking outside the traditional norms for how and where they manage their finances. This demand comes from Millennials and Gen Z’ers and their progressive outlook on their financial needs, both present and future, and pivoting away from traditional financial institutions as their store of value with next-to-nothing interest rates,” Derek Muhney, Director of Sales at Coinsource explained.

Some traders think that the current rise up could be a “bull trap,” which is basically a false signal in a declining trend. For instance, the crypto trader dubbed ‘@Lomahcrypto’ told his 65,000 Twitter followers that he wants to be bullish, but he is still uncertain.

“I want to be bullish so bad,” Loma Crypto tweeted. “Please BTC just close above $17,400 or dump to $15,800. Also… Binance Futures ALTs that were performing well (market leaders) are looking kinda heavy,” he added. “I [have] to agree it looks like trash,” another trader responded.

The popular trader @Cryptocapo_ told his 25k Twitter followers that he’s ready to short BTC. “Ready to short (hedge) $17.5k-$18k,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, even though BTC slid 15% in value the other day, many expected the crypto asset to slide a lot more than that, as it has traditionally seen slides much larger in the past (-30% or more). This has caused uncertainty among traders and analysts, as some believe that the price will drop again, but many enthusiasts still wholeheartedly believe BTC is once again targeting the 2017 all-time high.

According to the revised libra whitepaper, the Libra Association intended to initially launch with some of the currencies in the proposed libra basket, such as “librausd or ≋USD, libraeur or ≋EUR, libragbp or ≋GBP, librasgd or ≋SGD),” the association explained. However, the Financial Times reported Friday:

The association would now initially just launch a single coin backed one-for-one by the dollar … The other currencies and the composite would be rolled out at a later point.

The exact launch date for the libra crypto would depend on when the project receives approval to operate as a payments service from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). Three people familiar with the matter told the publication that it could come as early as January. Libra’s application was initiated in May.

Facebook unveiled the libra project in June last year and later scaled down its plans after being scrutinized by regulators worldwide. The Libra Association has 27 members currently, including Facebook’s David Marcus, who is Head of Facebook’s subsidiary Novi Financial, formerly Calibra. According to Facebook, “The first product Novi Financial will introduce is the Novi digital wallet designed for Libra, a new payment system which is built on innovative blockchain technology.”

Despite BTC’s price lift, the coin’s dominance index (market cap value measured against the entire valuation of all crypto markets) remains at 63% today. Bitcoin’s dominance index has not increased higher, because numerous altcoins have seen massive gains during the last 48 hours.

At a current price of over $19,500 per unit, bitcoin’s market cap today is hovering at around $362 billion. BTC’s market cap is larger than each of the world’s four largest banks; JPMorgan Chase USA, ICBC China, BAC USA, and CCB China.

BTC’s SHA256 hashrate (processing power) is coasting along at 130 exahash per second (EH/s) and there are 17 mining pools pointing hashrate at the network. Mining on the bitcoin (BTC) is difficult today as the difficulty metric is 19.16 trillion but in 13 days, it’s expected to increase to over 20 trillion.

Bitcoin’s issuance rate or inflation rate has dropped considerably since the third block reward halving this past May. Back then the inflation rate was hovering at around 3.6 to 3.8% and on Tuesday in late November, the inflation rate is now 2.69% and continues to shrink.

“The narrative of bitcoin as a safe alternative to traditional finances is being established without a doubt,” Vijay Ayyar, Head of Asia Pacific & Luno Exchange at Luno told news.Bitcoin.com. “Gold is starting to become less relevant especially for the younger population and investors and this shift from Gold to bitcoin has just begun.”

The second-largest blockchain, in terms of market cap, ethereum has increased a great deal in value during the last week. Ether is trading between $590 to $600 per ETH and the crypto asset is up 0.54% this week and 58% for the last 30 days. Ethereum’s market valuation on November 30 is roughly $67 billion.

The third position held by XRP has seen a jump of over 8% during the last week. XRP is currently swapping for $0.64 per unit and 30-day stats show XRP has climbed over 94% to get to its current position. XRP’s moves have managed to push tether (USDT) down a notch to the fourth-largest position.

The fifth-largest blockchain, in terms of market cap, belongs to bitcoin cash (BCH) on Monday, November 30. BCH has a liquid market cap of over $5.5 billion and each coin is trading between $290 to $301 per unit. Bitcoin cash prices are still down over 5% during the last seven days and just above 16% for the last 30 days.

At the time of publication, bitcoin (BTC) has slipped back some after touching the high on Monday and is currently swapping for $19,500 per coin. A second attempt to break the $20k price zone could very well be in the cards later today.

Russia to Recognize Bitcoin as Property With Legal Protection

During the government meeting on Thursday, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin talked about Russia’s plans for cryptocurrency regulation alongside other initiatives to fight against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

After outlining several solutions the Russian government has come up with, Mishustin said, “Another solution concerns cryptocurrencies.” He added that “This is a relatively new tool, interest in which is constantly growing.”

The Russian prime minister continued: “The government plans to direct the development of this market in a civilized direction so that the owners of such assets can protect their rights and interests, and the creation of shadow schemes would be difficult.” In order to achieve this, Mishustin said, “Let’s make a number of changes to the tax code,” elaborating:

Digital financial assets will be recognized as property, and their owners will be able to count on legal protection in the event of any illegal actions, as well as defend their property rights in court.

Although there have been discussions among lawmakers to treat bitcoin as taxable property, it is not yet official. Different courts have, therefore, made their own decisions whether to recognize the cryptocurrency as property. In July, a Russian court denied a crypto owner the return of his cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin. The court judged that since bitcoin was not considered property under Russian law, its theft was not a crime. In December last year, the supreme court ruled that tokens were assets like money and property.

Russia will begin regulating cryptocurrency next year; President Vladimir Putin signed the crypto bill into law in August. However, Russian lawmakers are still trying to add to the bill.

In November, the Ministry of Finance developed new amendments to the crypto regulation, introducing new rules and penalties for unreported and underreported cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, the Bank of Russia is seeking public comments on the central bank digital currency (CBDC), the digital ruble.

Guggenheim Investment Fund to Invest $497 Million in Grayscale's GBTC Seeking Bitcoin Exposure

In a November 27 amended prospectus filing with the U.S. SEC, Guggenheim explains the rationale for seeking indirect exposure to BTC. According to the explanation, Guggenheim’s MOF wants to achieve its investment objective by “investing in a wide range of fixed-income and other debt and equity securities.” This includes exposure to cryptocurrencies which the fund’s management believes will “offer (an) attractive yield and/or capital appreciation potential.”

Former Trump Economic Advisor and Goldman Sachs President Gary Cohn Warns Bitcoin May Fail

Former White House chief economic advisor Gary Cohn said in an interview with Bloomberg’s Emily Chang, published Monday, that bitcoin “may fail.”

Cohn served as president and chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs for 26 years. He left the firm in 2016 to become President Donald Trump’s chief economic advisor, the position which he resigned from in 2018.

During the interview, Cohn was asked: “how bullish are you on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and how much do you believe they will fundamentally transform our economy?” Admitting that he does not have a strong opinion about bitcoin, he said: “I’m not a strong believer in bitcoin.” The former Goldman Sachs executive elaborated:

It is a developing asset class, potentially. And for all the reasons it’s a strong developing asset class, it may fail.

The former top economic advisor to President Trump explained that “part of the integrity of a digital asset class or part of the integrity of a system is knowing who owns it, and knowing who has it, and knowing why it’s being transferred. And is it being used for legitimate causes, is it being used for good, or is it being used for illegitimate causes, is it being used in corrupt practices in corrupt ways?”

Claiming that “The bitcoin system today has no transparency to it,” the former Goldman Sachs president asserted: “So there are a lot of people that question why would you need a system that does not have an audit trail, does not have integrity, you don’t know who owns it, you don’t know exactly how much exists today, how much has been mined, how much has been lost, how much has been thrown away on hard drives because they don’t exist anymore.” Cohn concluded:

So it [bitcoin] lacks some of the basic integrity of a real market.

While pessimistic about bitcoin, Cohn said he is “very bullish” about blockchain technology, noting that they are the “highways and the pipes that are necessary for bitcoin” and “for many other applications.” He added, “they’re very useful.”

Bitcoiners on social media were flabbergasted and amused by Cohn’s comments about bitcoin. Bring him to me.” Castle Island Ventures partner Nic Carter wrote that Cohn saying that “bitcoin comes up short on the domain of auditability” is “Mystifying.”

Bitcoin evangelist and chairman of Divvy Systems and Barefoot Mining Bob Burnett tweeted to Cohn: “Lots of errors here. We know exactly how many bitcoin are mined. The software engineer explains that Nigerian authorities had, prior to this year’s events like Endsars protests, “been oblivious to the immense potential of bitcoin.” During the lockdown period, cryptocurrency usage in Nigeria grew and the country is now ranked as one of the top cryptocurrency markets. It is events in the crypto world in the past twelve months that may have helped change the Nigerian government’s perception of cryptocurrencies.

Consequently, as Lasebikan acknowledges, officials might now want to take action to slow down the adoption of digital currencies by Nigerians. According to Lasebikan, one simple way authorities can achieve this is by clamping down on centralized crypto exchanges, enforcing more rigorous KYCs or driving crypto companies out of the traditional banking infrastructure.

Still, as Lasebikan explains, this “will not kill bitcoin or the value of bitcoin” because the “majority of crypto activities happen in informal channels.” He says any clampdown will not result in the dropping of peer to peer trading which is initiated via Whatsapp or Telegram social media chat groups.

Bitcoin trading is censorship-resistant and there is no way for Nigerian authorities to stop or reverse transactions. Awareness of this and other attributes about bitcoin means the CBN and others will not succeed in any effort to control the digital currency. For crypto users, knowing of this is reassuring and it helps to maintain or accelerate the adoption momentum.

Coinbase executed MicroStrategy’s $425M Bitcoin purchase in September 2020

Coinbase, the United States’ largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced that it facilitated one of the largest institutional Bitcoin (BTC) purchases in 2020.

According to an official announcement, Coinbase was selected as the primary execution partner for MicroStrategy’s $425 million purchase of Bitcoin in September 2020.

Brett Tejpaul, head of institutional sales at Coinbase, provided more details about the purchase as well as the company’s aim to facilitate institutional purchases in a Dec. 1 blog post.

“Using our advanced execution capabilities, leading crypto prime brokerage platform, and OTC desk, we were able to buy a significant amount of Bitcoin on behalf of MicroStrategy and did so without moving the market,” Tejpaul said. According to the post, MicroStrategy chose Coinbase because the platform provides a number of market tools like smart order routing and algorithmic trading tools.

According to a case study on the MicroStrategy trades, Coinbase conducted a series of pre-trade calls with MicroStrategy prior to the $425 million purchase in order to better understand trade execution goals and develop a trading plan.

Following the successful test, Coinbase began to execute the larger trade, involving the “Time Weighted Average Price” algorithm to execute the trade over a period of five days.

Over the course of the trade, MicroStrategy had a 9 am call each day with the Coinbase trading team to start trading and report overnight fills. After completing an initial $250 million investment over a period of five days, MicroStrategy went on to invest an additional $175 million in Bitcoin following the success of the first trade, for a total investment of $425 million.

In the post, Coinbase expressed its willingness to help more institutions looking to buy crypto:

“We hope that this is an inflection point for the crypto economy and look forward to helping more corporate companies and institutions looking to diversify their capital allocation strategies with crypto. New Report Finds 33% of US-Based ICO Investors Felt Projects Deceived Them, Many Believe Creators Should Be Held Criminally Liable

Crypto disclosure and transparency platform Xangle has released the findings from their new ICO Retail Investor Sentiment and Outlook 2020 report.

The objective of the survey was to better understand the experiences and overall sentiment of U.S.-based retail investors who have invested in ICO projects. On Oct. 22, 2020, X angle surveyed 600 investors who live in the U.S. and invested in an ICO at some point between 2017 and when we conducted.

Key Findings Uncovered:

56% would make another investment but felt they needed more information and research to help them.

33% felt that the ICO deceived them or withheld information from them, with 17% unable to determine whether they were deceived or not.

Of the 33% who felt deceived by their ICO, 54% believed that the ICO founders should be held criminally liable for their actions.

Respondents felt that a lack of regulation, awareness, and security is holding the crypto market back.

Respondents felt that more accountability, investor protection, and information are needed to increase investor buy-in.

Commenting on the findings, James Junwoo Kim, co-founder of Xangle, said: “The survey findings confirmed our belief that there’s a lot of opportunity and need in the crypto industry for better transparency and visibility for upcoming crypto projects, which can build investor trust and confidence.”
