Here's one that is near and dear to mine own heart!

There are six of these per page. Print as many pages as you need. My thought was that maybe they should be placed front to back if your child's pack (or lunch box or maybe even coat zipper) has a tag holder with two clear sides. But feel free to tape them, staple, put them in a baggy and glue them to anything that needs a label for this up-coming school year! :) Monkey Tags

Bluesday Tuesday, Let's Make It Smurfy*!

Today I was feeling kind of blue...so, I am making a "blue" post. To be honest; I am no longer feeling blue. Thank you Pierre Culliford aka Peyo (Smurf's/Schtoumpf's creator) from making this Bluesday a little smurfier for me! :)

Free Printable Beware of Dog Signs

Well, Summer is here and people are outside being people (well, I'm not. I am not big on the outside when it's hot!)

Folks will be hanging out on the streets, kids poking fingers though fences, all kinds of things to aggravate your poor pooch in her/his own yard!

I figured that I would try to help this situation by offering a list of some of the free printable "Beware of Dog" signs that I found just loafing around the greater world wide web area (not aggravating your dog(s)!)

(I made the first two...because I wanted too....but you can still find them running around the www...)

This BILINGUAL "BEWARE OF DOG" SIGN is from Life in Engspanol (the blog that I ((Stephanie)) call home.) This link also has a very generic tutorial for "laminating" printable signs using freezer bags.

This CRAZY MAN-EATING POOCH SIGN is only available here at Free Printable Fun. It's sassy and scary and funny, but mostly it's just creepy! The funny slogan is cute, but hopefully children will be so put off by the really ugly dog picture that it will serve it's purpose!

This VERY OFFICIAL LOOKING GUARD DOG SIGN is the most classic sign in this list. I couldn't get a direct link to the free PDF, but it's easy to find. Click the link and scroll down until you see the picture listed here...click the print button.

COMICAL AND TO THE POINT this sign is cute. I hope that it doesn't draw more kids with ear-pulling mitts than not, but it is noticeable! Hopefully eye-balling parents will see it first and take note! (Maybe it should be placed at adult eye-level if possible.) I would use it, but as I mentioned, I would place it for adult eyes mostly...up high-ish!

Printable Sea Creature Wall or Card Art

One wall in my house is covered in framed pictures. It has a loose theme of whimsical representations of literary characters and macabre science, and science fiction inspired, imagery. I've been thinking of refreshing the wall with a few new pictures.

While on a completely unrelated mission to find out more information about the Portuguese man o'War, I found some amazing illustrations of siphonophorae. Kunstformen der Natur, "Art Forms of Nature", was written by Ernst Haeckel and published in 1900. I can't read German, but I assume it was very informative. The illustrations in this text are so stunning they beg to be hung up on a wall, used as the front of a card, or incorporated into a scrapbook page.

This type of illustration is particularly suited to crafts for men and boys because of the intricate scientific detail and the lack of girly hearts and stars. Not that they wouldn't look good in a young girl's bedroom (they most certainly would!!), but finding starting images for crafts intended for men can be hard. You can get a quick look at the images via Google's image search, but downloading them from the main Kuntsformen der Natur site will yield better looking prints. I've included a few of the renderings I found particularly interesting below. This book is in the public domain, so have fun using the images for a variety of crafts and decorations. It isn't limited to sea creatures: there are many kinds of living organisms illustrated.

All Aboard This Free Printable Counting Train!

As the my first real post back I wanted to add something that many people have asked for. TRAINS! There has been several searches done here for large printable trains. I made one. It is the "Counting Train".

The Counting Train starts off with the conductor in the "0" engine car, and then is followed up by passenger cars numbering 1-10. There is also a numbers "blank" so that page of the download can be printed as many times as necessary (it's page 12, inside of your printing options you can opt to only print from page 12-12 which will print only that page) to add unlimited numbered cars to your fun. Feel free to take page 12 to Paint, or any other similar program and adding the additional numbers there, or do it by hand.

Page 13 of this 13 page PDF offers 4 Counting Train tickets to be redeemed for a good time of "fun while learning" aboard the Counting Train! :)

After you download and print you could either leave them as-is as whole sheets and use them as a table top puzzle-type game, or carefully cut them out and use them as wall art/learning walls deco.

She (Big Blue Sissy Sue) Lives!

Hi! Did you miss us (Sissy and me?) We are back! Sissy Sue has been cured of her woes and did not have to meet her maker (Not really HP, they made her but they didn't want her back, but the great "maker" that resides in Arizona...or where ever...) And she is as good as she ever was. That's not really saying much, but I sure am glad to have her home! :)

Now, it is time to jump in and help Jamie Sue (the sister, not Sissy Sue the computer) get this place tidied up and going full force again!

Thanks to all of you who have stuck by us through this and kept coming back, and a HUGE thank you to Jimmy...You are awesome Jimmy! Not only are you the sweetest, hunkiest computer knowledgeable guy I ever did know....you are also very handy to have around. (Hotness all the way!) :) Seriously though, you have been great, I am so glad that you are hear with us on this! Gracias!

Printable Adult ( Complex) Coloring Pages

For some reason, as we get older, we let go of the little pleasures in life. We take fewer walks in the rain, watch fewer sunsets, and smell fewer roses. We convince ourselves that we don't have the time, energy, or money to enjoy the things we once did. Worse, sometimes we even convince ourselves that we're too old to enjoy activities that we loved as children. Coloring is one of those activities that should carry well into adulthood. It's calming and therapeutic. It taps into the parts of the brain responsible for pattern recognition, improves coordination, and unlocks creativity. If you need more convincing read Jayme Kinsey's insightful little article on the subject. For those who don't feel comfortable with creating their own Zentangle designs or mandalas or who like more lively subject matter, coloring pages can provide a welcome retreat from the fast pace of modern life. Below are some coloring pages from Dover Publications. Dover produces wonderful complex coloring books and I encourage you to sign up for free samples via email so you can try out some of their wares.

Rearranging the furniture.

This poor little site hasn't seen a new coat of paint in nearly six years. So I apologize if it feels like I pulled the chair out from under you. Don't worry, you're in the right place. :)

Update:
Jimmy helped me create better navigation tabs at the top. I can't believe I had forgotten how to make a sub menu. I use to know how to do stuff. I'm not sure why I don't anymore. I guess it's a sign of my age. The top navigation isn't complete. But, it will be soon.

RIP Big Blue Sissy Sue (My Lap Top)

Well, my "Big Blue Sissy Sue" (my HP 2000 lap top) has gone to live in the great big crazy place where cheaply made, badly put together electronics go to live when they die. (I think it's Arizona...not sure though...)

Sissy Sue was manufactured horribly and was stuffed with Windows 8; but she was not to blame for these things. She tried to be a good computer, and she will be missed.

There will be no services held for her, but a box from UPS is on the way to collect her to make sure that she makes it back to the warranty place safely...or Arizona...or where ever the big brown truck takes her for her finally resting. Good bye my fair weather friend! Via con Dios, so long, farewell, alvederzane, goodbye.

So, long story short; I will not be posting until my computer is either miraculously fixed or (more than likely) replaced. Jamie may be popping in to post, but I don't know how much time she is going to be having for this right now. So, I am sorry for the inconvenience and please watch for us to be back up and posting anew real soon!

I personally tend to change up the projects that I start, not that the original plan that came with any said project was bad..I am just horrible at following directions! So, the thing that you ended up with (like so many of mine and for better or for worse) may be totally different from 10 other peoples projects done from the same download or page, etc.. Show us your work and we will share the love with the link that it came from! (I'll even hunt down the link for ya!) :)

Free Printable Mandalas and Zen Tangle Designs

This is just a picture and link list for printable materials to print off and color, or try to re-create at home. I will say that making Zen Tangle art is awesomely relaxing (I am new at it, but man I sure have had some fun with my zany (half-cracked) designs! Like-wise, coloring in a mandala (for those who don't know what that is, just scroll down to see...I think that the two are similar, but the mandala seems to follow a set pattern as to where the zen tangle goes where it chooses.)

Free Printable Realistic Play Money Learning Tools

Many of you know that we here at Free Printable Fun have had a a page of "gag" play money up for quite some time. Jamie Sue wanted her little Daax to learn about money. This works better if you are actually using "real" money. Jamie, like most of the rest of the world, does not just have a load of cash laying around that she can just give up to a very young person to learn with while praying that he doesn't eat or shred the rent money!

She copied some money on her scanner, went to wherever the U.S. Gov. has it's legalities list of how you can legally "photo-copy" currency (it is highly illegal to recreate as-is, non-conforming to U.S. guidelines American currency at home or anywhere else, ever! No-one wants to go to jail for being a counterfeiter!) There is a large list of rules, but as I was trying to find the proper link my computer got all wack-a-doo and I am pretty sure that I just got on a government watch list....all for the love of education and trying to stay legal and keep you legal too!

Anyhow; she changed up the levels of color, and size, and the ten-or-so other things that you have to do. Some have managed to print out the one-sided (never make 2 sided knock-off cash, they seem to take that as a threat!) play/fake money. For others it's a fun challenge to try and retry....

I have now went all around the lovely land that is Google and found some hopefully easier to print faux money to be used for play or as a learning/practice tool.

PAPER COINS & PAPER MONEY COUNTING LESSONS FROM CLASSROOM JR.
This is a black and white collection and in theory one should have no trouble printing this. It should be in no way considered "spendable" and thus should be fairly safe to print and in my opinion is still realistic enough for a student of most any age to grasp the concept of counting and/or learning about money. This is also one of the only sites that I found that has "change" in 1/2 dollar increments as well as $1 coins.

PRINTABLE PLAY MONEY FROM ESL PRINTABLES

Here we find six "one dollar bills", one "five dollar bill" and an awesomely altered (they are all altered, but this one is funny) "ten dollar bill". Some of us like our puppet characters more than others maybe, but Dr. Teeth from Electric Mayhem's face on a 10 spot is cute to me! Just good learning fun!

MONEY MATH MANIA: 10 WORKSHEETS

This one from education(dot)com was harder to grab pictures from but there is a nice colorful "change" sheet and the "cash" is blue-ish in color, but I think that it will still work for play or learn because it has the basics. These two sheets are part of a 10 page download that includes many different worksheet and learning games.

Free Printable Teaching Shapes File Folder Games List For Summer Learning Fun

Well, Summer is officially here, most every school around this great nation of ours has let out for the year (or it will very soon!)

When I was a kid (a very long time ago, when we went outside....to play with dinosaurs) Summer Break was a time of chasing snakes at the creek and catching fire flies in a mason jar every night that wasn't rainy! We stayed up late and we ate marshmallows from a stick that was held over a bonfire made from household waste (including the bathroom trash.) Yep, good times!

Times are a'changing though. While having good Summer fun is still on the top of my personal list, I also know that we can have fun while learning too!

I have a suggestion for the rainy days/evenings (sorry kidd-o's you can't play in the pool when there's lightening and fireflies don't come out on rainy evenings) instead of having a movie night (movie night is great, but why not exchange every other one), why not make it a game night and make the game an educational one!

There are free printable educational games all over this website and the entire internet! FREE, I TELL YOU, FREE! :) (Sorry, I have to make my own fun.) Anyhow, I am listing some below, there is a theme and there aren't many of them. My chosen theme was "learning shapes". I did this because though there are hundreds of free, printable file folder games out there to teach everything! "learning shapes" was the hardest of all to find, and when I did find them there was a cat and mouse hunt to get through the seven (I jest, but several) links to find a game that someone had on Etsy anyway and was not free. There were also some that it took the pages longer than 5 minutes to load (can't tell you how long they took after that..., I "x"ed out), and my internet speed is the fastest that I can get in my area and it's not bad..so...not sending you guys there...

Anyhow, here's my sadly short list:

(No kidding, I only found two that were decent and free and get-to-able, so I had to make one, so the first one is from my person site and it is of course bilingual.)

"LEARNING THE SHAPES AROUND YOU" FFG (SP/EN) PDF

This one is a 6 page download with a 5 page game. The first page has five shapes (circle, oval, square, rectangle and triangle) with the names of the shapes in Spanish and English, the next four pages (one page is shown above) has identifiable pictures with shapes to match up with the shapes form page one. The "shapes" from the later pages are also labeled in Sp/En for additional learning fun!

Yay! I Made It Fun To Learn Shapes!

This one from Yay!, I Made It! is a two page download with basic and more advanced shapes. Great for families with children of different ages or to use as a stepping-up game that grows with your child! (Also a great catch-me-back-up-before-school-starts-cause-my-brain-has-been-playing-outside game!) :)

This game from They Call Me Granola has great basic-yet-fun shapes, and eye pleasing colors! This is a little color heavy, but it's really lovely to look at and I am sure that it will be a real winner especially for those with pre-K or earlier players! :) (Worth the ink in my book!)

Bilingual (EN/SP) Free Printable File Folder Game (COLORS)

Okay, earlier I posted the English language version of the color board and matching medallions file folder game (here's a link to that game); and I promised to have a bilingual copy up ASAP.

I got right on it!

Some of the pictures (non-character) pictures are the same, some are different. (I saved badly, and had to start form scratch with the exception of the "faces".)

The directions for this are in Spanish, but it is so easy...Print, cut out all medallions(except for the ones on the 6 sectioned color board!), match colors!

I posted this one as an original over at my personal blog (where I tend to put things that I make that mainly pertain to bilingual things, as it is properly name Life in ENGSPANOL.)

Free Printable Color Learning File Folder Game By Stephanie

LEARNING COLORS GAME WITH COLORFUL MEDALLIONS

Recently I posted a wonderful list of color learning activities and games. Let it be said that I had the idea of using some or all of these ideas from the post FREE COLOR LEARNING PRINTABLES AND ACTIVITIES to help teach my 18 month old son (Dinky) his colors.

I had the best of intentions at heart!

Come to find out, they were too advanced for his toddler mind.

(They are still great for older or more advanced children though!)

So...

Back to the drawing board!

So, I sat and thought, and thought and thought.

Okay, this is what I knew going into this: 1. Dinky likes bright things. 2. Dinky likes cartoons (we don't do cable, so he has DVD's and only educational ones...it makes it easier to not only monitor the quality of the programming that he sees, but also the time that he spends watching it!) 3. He is getting pretty good with jig-saw puzzles (9 pieces or less.)

I could find some recognizable characters, go to my horrid "paint" program and make my versions (I am cheap like that) of these characters in little circles like game pieces. (Note: My very sad version of Sesame Street characters are probably not a threat to Sesame Workshop but I have to sat that any depiction that I have of these characters is in no way affiliated with Sesame Workshop or any other trademark holder...this project is free and only for your personal use, please don't sell it..yaddayaddayadda...Are we legal now? Okay.)

I could then make a matching game of some sort. Which I did. It is a 6 paneled board/page with the colors that I see on the "buy me" stuff from other sites (red, purple, blue, green, yellow and orange.)

Then I decided to make it interesting by adding another set of medallions that had solid colors to match the board but with the words on them...

After that I just kept adding to the "medallions" until I had a whole set that would teach my boy from toddler hood until grade K. And hopefully still be fun after that!

It goes from matching the "monsters" with their common color, to the site words, to circles with various shades of these colors (some fall into more than one category), next up is solid/obvious colored pictures, and then pictures with multiple colors.

That last one I just did to see what color stood out or why to my son. On an apple tree I may see the red of the apples and place the round in the "red" area, but he may see the green of the leaves, or the brown of the trunk and place them in the spot that he sees fit...funny how perception is so individual! :)

For long term or multi-player (classrooms settings) use I would suggest laminating the board and pieces. For printing quality I would suggest regular card stock or thicker.

Print out is 6 pages including 1 game board, 33 "medallions" (4 pages), and 1 instruction sheet.

Free Color Learning Printables and Activities

My little guy is learning everything at one time!

He has a favorite ball, when I toss it I tell him, "Get the BIG. RED. BALL."

By describing the ball slowly and with emphasis on the descriptive words he has gathered that the ball is red. He now recognizes the word red (not so much big.) If I ask him if he wants to wear his RED shirt (he has one favorite character shirt and it is red, not the only red shirt, but he knows the one I mean), he will clap and open his shirt drawer! So now we are off to learn more than just one color!

In my endless search for free learning tools (I was born thrifty out of necessity...now I am spoiled to it!) I came across numerous crafts, printing color pages, games, etc. But I have found several really well thought out and practical ideas that I plan on using. Maybe they will be helpful to you as well!

There is no particular order to these links, they are my "pick-of-litter" choices and they all are equally useful and wonderful in my opinion!

From Structured Play we have this bucket game that I think will be a fun way for my to build his cognitive skills with physical interaction and memory building play! And he gets exercise! Not only is there a tutorial/how-to, there is a list of things that you may need to purchase and a link to the free printables that she used. (These printables are from Home School Creations.)

From National Kindergarten Readiness we have these adorable yet simple animal pattern color flash cards. I feel that the images sell the colors! These free printable cards have very child friendly, cartoony designs and I love that!

Lastly, here is a page with many varites of the color wheel from Mr. Printables. There are eleven different "wheels" to choose from. Some are black and white for your child to fill in (by coloring, or adding colored bits of candy, etc.) and others have full color for site learning. They very from red, blue and yellow (primary colors) colored wheels, to a twelve sectioned tertiary color wheel (this has primary colors fading to the next...ie. red, red orange, orange, yellow orange, yellow..) all the way from red, back to red. There is also (which I have pictured below) a primary colors mix chart; the picture explains it all! (I own a lot of purple..this may be very helpful to us here my house!) :)

Get Ready. Get Safe. Disaster Checklists From Save the Children

A year ago today tornados ravished Oklahoma. Over at savethechildren.org there are a lot of things going on. There are videos, stories, ways to help, educational/preparedness help, and you can learn about Lassie the dog that goes from place to place helping teach children about preparedness for disasters.

There are two check lists (same page) that helps "Get Ready. Get Safe." One check list is marked for parents; it of course is for at-home safety and planning. The other is for child care professionals. There are several downloading options and there is a "Spanish language" option for both as well.

Free Printable Signs To Use Around The House (Spanish and English)

Helpful Signs From Life in ENGSPANOL

These little cuties do well for not only friends and family who come over and may speak either language. But also if either language is the spoken language of people who may happen to come around and like-wise need to be informed. For example, if you have a worker (lawn care professional, house painter, etc.) that may knock on your door who may speak only one of these languages. Or maybe you have a neighbor that may pop by on occasion (same scenario), if the baby is sleeping...the sleeping baby sign could really save the day!

Then there are of course the other two signs, these can not only be functional around the home, but they would be great for say the community park in your residential area, or for use at the small business that you may work at.

Where Is The "Conjunction Function" Button? Let's "Hook It Up"!

My young son is growing his vocabulary (he is 18 months old) and 2 and three word sentences are the thing!
I clap and cheer on as he babbles, and I glow as he is growing and learning each and every day! Though I am so very proud of all of his accomplishments it often reminds me of just how fast he growing and how fast time flies...
Before I know it those two or three words that he is piecing together now will be full on questions, demands, complaints, jokes, etc.
We started flash cards for site words, and we practice all sorts of spoken words in both Spanish and English...soon enough it will be time to put all of these this together..can't wait for his first big-boy sentence.
Even after he has all of these single words that we have been working on the "conjunction" words come next. "And", "but", "or", "so" these and words like them are what make those sentences full. That being said, I am trying to get prepared...
I have dug around and found some things that I thought were not only well put together, but basic enough for when my little guy is ready (probably a another year or so, but I like to be prepared!)
This first one is from our friends over at Chapel Hill Snippets. The Friends Book-Introducing conjunctions has easy to identify pictures that tell a story about friends featuring the word AND.

There are also sentence building icons for hands on learning. This is my top choice, but the others things that I have are also top notch!

Next up is a cute conjunction work sheet from Study Champs. In this work sheet there is no particular "conjunction" but many, including but not limited to "as", "but" and "while". And the little caterpillar illustration at the top right corner may help to get my guys attention so that we can get started...kids are funny like that!

The last thing that I am posting here is not a printable. It is a YOU-TUBE clip. I can't even think the word "conjunction" without hearing the song...and if you have a little age on you like I do, you are probably singing it either out loud or in your head right this second..oh yes..sing along.., "Conjunction Junction, What's your function?"...I am not alone here, right?!?! Free Printable (Spanish And English Copies) Play Date Invitations

Pick one or both! These "Play Date" invites feature the same backgrounds but with different words (to meet the needs of those receiving parents that speak either Spanish or English!)

My son is young, so he only get's to invite the people that I know and invite; he has no friends outside of circle yet. I have friends and family in my circle that fall into one category or the other and a few that could read and understand either invite. So, to cover everyone, I printed out both sets!

For those who have school aged kids and/or kids in day care, your children may have their own independent friends; that's these really come in handy! There are many children that speak English, but their parents may speak/read little or none! This is an instance that having printed the Spanish set (even if you don't speak a lick of it!)

I love it!

C/NET has done a story on Harvard Business student Grace Choi and her amazing invention.

Her invention is a printer that allows you to select and mix your own colors from basically anywhere (even from a picture or video), and print these colors in makeup form! You can blend them up special-like right from your living room!

This printer creates personalized powders, creams, and even lipsticks, says Choi.

Free Printable General "Thank You" Cards Link List

We at FPF have taken the notion to hunt down the best designed, most professional looking, free and printable "Thank You" cards that the world wide web has to offer. There is no particular rhyme or reason to the listings for they are all great for their own reasons. Happy hunting, happy printing...and "Thank You" for stopping in to view or selections! :)

Here are 6 classically designed, beautifully put together "Thank You" cards with matching envelopes from Do-it-yourself-Invitations.
The pictures vary from vintage-style to whimsical and all are delicate and very pretty! There is a step-by-step photo tutorial for getting these gems put together like a pro!

I have chosen this water color image as the "spokes card" for the group because it makes me smile, but this is not the only style offered! There are kiddy-cards, there are classically designed cards, a few vintage-ish styles as well as some more modern designs. Truly something for everyone!

This little beauty from Greetings Island is one one of more than forty "Thank You" cards to chose from all at one site (5 pages of cuteness). The styles differ greatly, this on is cutesy, others are more serious. Some of the cards are general "thank you's" and others are more specific, covering: "Thanks for being there", "Thanks for making my day special", "Thanks for taking care of me" and that's just a start. Pop on in and print out something wonderful!

Here at DELIA CREATES for the month of "Thanks" (November) they have offered up the three black and white, classic lines, intellectual-style cards. In addition to this whimsical cross-word card there is one that is a chevron-type look and the other I would say has more of a damask design. Nice clean lines, great for personal, professional or general card giving! (Added bonus, there's very little color-ink needed for any of these!)

Over at Jenny Allsorts I found only this one "Thank You" card. Though it was created for the holiday seasons (which it will be great for), I don't think that it should be limited to that! Elves are known to be helpful little guys (in my part of the world) and there are many collectors of these cute little imps! So, if you know an elf collector this would be a great way to say, "Thanks!" It is really nice to know that someone pays enough attention to your life to remember the little things! (Envelope not included, but card fits into standard greeting-card envelope.)

This awesomely cute "..thanks for your kindness" card from Canon's Creative Park is one of forty-five of it's kind. Again, there is a large variety to choose from. I am taken with the cutesy ones but there are some that have a more serious look to them, there are some that are more adult (one that's quite a bit more adult; don't worry, there's no nudity), and some that are more classic in nature. Many of them look expensive, some not so much, but they are all nice enough to warrant a look-see!

This fellow here is from Skip to my Lou. It was my personal pick of the litter and I can't image any female not mooning over this one, and it has a masculine quality too! It's got just enough spunk, and whimsy to be cute, and bold lines enough to strong. I like it!

Dimensions of Wonder has this download in both blue and pink. It has a soft, delicate look to it. Though it's design is simple, it's look is elegant.

Meg of Olliegraphic has a bird-on-feather-design "Thank You" card up for grabs over at Oh My! Handmade Goodness. The actual print sheet has two (identical, half-sheet-to-make-two-squat-but-long- cards) cards to the page. The card(s) in question have the bird-on-feather image and the words "Thank You" on the cover. The insides are blank. There is a link to the printing instructions. This is a real deal at the cost of "free" and "two-for-one"!

Penny Printables has this colorful ball of wonderful, and it's sister! There are 2 cards, the one pictured here and another that is very similar but the other has more pink and a few other subtle differences. There are several download options, including what kind of file (PDF or "save as") and there is also the option to print one card or two per page; how considerate! :)

Free Printable "Baby's First Hair Cut Keepsake" Envelope

My little Dinky got his first hair cut yesterday. I am really in the dumps about it! My little guy had curls that fluffed out like a cloud; they were beautiful!

Summer heat is my new enemy; it forced me to clip the ringlets from precious boys head and now he looks like a big boy. I just wasn't ready for that...

After having said all of that, I will tell you that with tears in my eyes I started searching for some cute envelope to save at least one of his little baby curls in.

Nothing. Well, nothing that didn't cost a fortune!

So, I made me one. And then I thought, if it's this traumatic for every other parent, maybe they could use something like this, too. It takes the sting out a little to know that you have this precious little piece of your baby's history kept safe for you to pop open from time to time just to reminisce and it does look nice in the "Baby Box of Firsts", which I am sure I am not the only one to have.

With a heavy heart I offer up this little envelope to package that "baby gold" that is the locks that you have tended and watched grow since day one that you will treasure forever.

...and know that when that day come that your little one(s) get their first hair cut, it is okay to cry, and you are not alone! Shoot, I am crying even know, thank goodness I know the keyboard!
