25 YEARS, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?

Well today is the BIG day.

25 years of wedded bliss!

I'll give you a minute for the folks that have just spit out their coffee to clean it up.

This is what I wrote this morning on The Sacrifial Diet Facebook Group I have for weight release.

I think upon this Word and meditate on all the blessings from God Almighty. Here I sit this day, 25 years ago I married Randy. For those of us that know my husband and I personally, let's say everyone is shocked! Talk about being in awe of God's power and glory revealed in two dysfunctional, broken, sin filled and hurting people. Filled with strongholds and bondage's too numerous to start posting about. I cried many tears, actually sobbed, screamed, bawled and yelled in anger towards God ,'this is the best You have for me? This is Your plan? How can anything good from from this?" So here I sit, 25 years later....and I'm in awe.

All that has been going through my head for since I read the devotional from Streams in the Desert is" This is My doing. 1 Kings 12:24."

God is good all the time folks! All the time God is good.

God is transforming each us ladies. It does not come over night. There is pain. There is suffering. There is a purpose.

This present suffering is not even worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us, through us, and around us in Christ Jesus. Romans.

I have actually been wearing this jacket over my flannel pjs in the evening when it's cold.

Two years ago I picked up this dress on sale at Redeemed Good thrift store.

It was on sale.

Not only am I learning to layer my decorating around the home, I've learned to layer my outfits.

This entire outfit cost me just under twenty dollars.

That includes the purse I have added.

I like to change the brooch that I placed on the purse for the season.

Got one for spring.

Another for summer.

Two looks.

Same purse!

The belt was found in a cigar box that I paid a dollar for.

Some of you may remember that little sewing kit that was found in that box.

On Ebay, they are going for 10 dollars!

It make me feel like a Proverbs 31 Woman.

Black sweater from Walmart: 7 dollars.

Jacob capris: 1 dollar. Or should I say one dolla!

Le Chateau: 1 dollar.

Turtle neck from Walmart: 3 dollars.

Shoes from Walmart: 3 dollars.

Vintage jewelery: 1 dollar.

So under twenty dollars you can rock an outfit!

You just can't beat sales, thrift store and yard sale finds!

I guess today I can upload my pictures.

It's been very frustrating trying to figure out this new lay out with Blogger.

Pretty close to just saying the heck with it and just continue on with You Tube.

Seems like my Fastionista Baby outfits are starting to be noticed and commented on in the 'real world' these days.

Funny.

Since I started doing these posts here at blogger, more people in the 'real world' have also started to comment.

Many of them strangers.

LOL.

And the Fastionista Baby that I am, starts to rattle off the prices I paid for the outfit.

LOL.

This one was no one dolla!

Actually it was a 70 dollar dress that my mom picked up for me for 12 dollars at Sears!

Yahoooooooooooo...

A funny story.

I was busy doing my daily shopping spree at St. Vincent de Paul the other day when one of the clerks stated:

"Oh I just love your outfit".

"Oh thank you. I got this for a dollar at a yard sale. I bought this purse here for a dollar. I LOVE getting beautiful clothes for dirt cheap. The 'rich' can pay full price for their clothing and I have no problem picking it up from them for peanuts at their yard sales!"

lol.

So when I was walking home that day I noticed two women sun bathing.

One lady says..'this is the lady I told you about.'

lol..it was the clerk that I had spoken with early that day.

Too funny.

So of course I had to start my "one dolla" spiel~!

The other day when I wore my 'barmaid top', I was so workin that outfit folks.

You know what I mean.

A day where you just know your lookin fine.

Some days I feel like a blow fish.

Bloated. Achy.

Like a bloated fish!

That day though, I was feelin so fine!

After I came home from work, my work began again caring for my family.

So the fine workin outfit got a fine workin apron added to it!!

I do enjoy wearing aprons.

It gives me a boost of energy.

It's my battle gear on.

Ready to take on the world.

I'm SO workin it today folks!

One of my gifts that I received in the mail from Mim, who I 'meet' through You Tube.

Never did make it to Church today.

Had me one amazing glorious Sabbath though folks.

It was definitely a day of worship, praise and blessings to God Almighty.

Winding road that was filled with being outdoors for most of the day.

Busy working in the yard.

Pulling weeds.

Realizing how hard some weeds are to pull out.

Made me think about our 'weeds' in our life.

Some take more effort to pull out.

They don't come out as easily.

Had two bff's come to visit.

Sheila and I sat on the deck talking about life, chick stuff and about God.

I'm doing something a bit different.

Last night I found a devotional I wrote quite some time ago, a few years back. Actually it was written 7 months after Randy had lost his job. We continued on for close to two more years of him being unemployed.

It's amazing to find this and see how far my family and I have through this storm.

It's pretty long.

Pretty deep.

There is someone out there though that needs to read this.

I'm joining Tracy at Thirsty for Him for a A MakeOver of the Heart Bible Study

God always, always answers our prayers, but not always the way we want or understand.( I copied this from Tracy's post.)

Amen amen amen. The day my husband lost his job, I remember falling on my knees praying to God and said, “I don't understand this, but YOU do and that is all that matters. I will trust You in this.”

I have written in a previous devotional how one day I was reading the Word of God during my quiet time and saw that I had written beside some scripture about God granting my husband a new job and placing the date beside it. It was 8 MONTHS before my husband lost his job!

I shared in this devotional how Satan starting to whisper to me, "Look at that, you had been praying for 8 months for your husband to get another job, and NOT only did he NOT get a job, he lost the job that he had."

Once again I said to the Lord, "I don't understand this Lord, but You DO, and that is all that matters. Your the One in control. Your will be done, and Your's alone. I will trust You in this."

God’s ways are perfect and His timing is perfect. We can’t see things the way God can. God has your WHOLE life planned, not just this season of it.(I copied this from Tracy's post also. How perfect this statement is with what I just wrote above).

We must trust that God is in control of our lives

This is where my journey is. Trust. Trust. Trust. Do I TRULY trust? Or like Streams in the Desert states: Quiet tension is not trusting, but simply suppressed anxiety!

rejoice, praise God, worship the Lord during this trial.(copied this also from Tracy's post: THIS IS A DEFINITE!!!!!)

My goodness, this is one truth I KNOW what keeps me from not going literally insane during the trials my family and I have been facing these last 7 months.

Rejoicing, praising, worshiping NOW....in the storms!

Questions

What trials have you faced in life?

Name a trial? Ask me have I experienced this or that? I'm serious! I'll be honest with you that I have struggled why my life has had to have so much pain, sorrow, hurt, rejection, abuse, loneliness, sadness and sickness. Why my family has had so much heart ache when others have been 'covered'?

I don't ask why anymore. It never did any good except make me more depressed, bitter, angry and resentful!

How have you dealt with them? After reading this, how would you change your reactions to these trials?

I have dealt with my trials in many ways. Right now, at this place in my journey to the Promised Land I cling, fall to my knees, worship, adore, cry out, seek out, praise, adore the King of kings and the Lord of lords, ALL THE DAYS of my life. In the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening and in the night watches.

sigh...you ready? lol

Let's see....

Anger, resentment, controlling others, screaming, bitterness, withholding love, manipulating, smoking dope excessively, drinking alcohol excessively, food, obsessing over the trials, having conversations out loud to NO ONE about the trials, daydreaming adulterous thoughts,..

I should have just written everything and anything that I thought would 'work' to get me out of that trial NOW! Do anything and everything to numb my emotions, body, and mind.

Questions:

1. What are distractions in your life that draw you away from God?

Insecurities, feelings of unworthiness, wanting to be 'liked'. (as IF God is not enough,,grrrrrr...I can't stand the battle of seeking approval of man,,,yuck yuck). Fear, anxiety, worry, distrust.

I think distrust is the biggest. I keep crying out to the Lord, "I believe, help me in my unbelief".

If I say I trust, THAN I should not be consumed with fear, anxiety and worry. This IS totally NOT from God people!!!

2. What has God taught you about prayer through this study?

Keep on keeping on. I KNOW the power of prayer. I thank God SO much for leading me back to a deeper level of prayer time with Him, and not only in the mornings but throughout the day.

3. What are THREE practical application you plan on using in your life?

1. be more open.

2. watch my thought life and words.

3. that my prayers will go deeper , walking them out. Romans 4:17b

I want to thank Tracy for 'sharpening me' (proverbs 27:17). Thank you beloved sister for being such a precious crown of splendor in God's right hand.

Right now I keep thinking as Friday is about to roll along soon, 'IT BEGINS'.

The torture, the beatings, the rejection, the abuse, the abandonment...

THE DEATH.

Oh my precious Jesus, I sit here with tears in my eyes. Forgive me for getting so caught up in the 'living' that I'm not LIVING for You. You loved, loved, loved, loved. EVEN as You washed Judas' feet KNOWING he would be betraying You only a few short hours later..YOU LOVED.

You willingly died because You LOVED us.

How could I ever doubt or distrust that You will not be here for us all now?

Jesus, I pray that scales will fall from the eyes of those that have been blinded. I pray for the hurting and lost to see You and experience Your love in a lavish way. I pray that we ALL come to have a deeper level of intimacy with You, to truly shine Your light in and through us. That we become truly God's kingdom on earth as it is in heaven....Come Jesus, reign, REIGN, REIGN.

A WEEK OF FASHION

I thought I would share with all of you my 'fashionista' style.

Monday.

Just because I care for children does not mean I have to wear clothing that is not up to my diva personality standards!

I have no problem sitting on the floor and playing with the children in the clothes I wear.

Who cares if I get dirty.

You all know how much I love aprons.

Well I wear them at the Child-Minding Centre also.

And there is also a thing called 'washing machine'.

lol

The vintage necklace with earrings cost me a total of one dolla!

One piece top that looks like two, one dolla!

Black skirt, one dolla!

TUESDAY

I'm so loving my one dolla orange jacket.

Perfect for this flippin cold weather we have had.

Snow!

Praise God it didn't stay on the ground but melted away!

The top was one dollar, both necklaces were one dollar a piece, the cords were one dollar!

This outfit is all the way from India!

My Daddy bought it MANY years ago when he did some consultation there.

I had the pants to go with it.

Ripped them to pieces one time by accident...daaaaaa

I also have a beautiful wrap that goes with it.

The turtle neck cost me one dollar as well as the bangle bracket (8 in total) was only a dollar!

So this is my Wednesday outfit and this is about as far as I'm going for the week of fashion folks!

I'm off to work now.

Just got back from my bff's having a coffee at her house and talking about our Yard Sale Hauls.

Came to the computer to check my emails and was ready to leave to start pitter pattering around the home when I realized..FEARLESS FRIDAY!

I almost forgot to get my post up and ready.

Thank goodness for that spark of caffeine I had at Diane's!

Got me some 'pep' going on here.

Positive pep.

Sometimes just walking away from your environment for awhile puts everything in perspective.

Before going there I was stressed, angry and 'I'm so fed up'.

I love this pic above.

It reminds me that I need to do that sometimes with the rantings that go on within me.

Plug my ears so to speak, to the stresses that are trying to steal my joy.

I won't say all of us, but I do know some of you (the others just won't admit it as far as I'm concerned,lol) go through times where you just want to pack it all in.

Tired of doing. Tired of being in control. Tired of being the one that it seems to be doing everything around the home.

Sick and tired. Fed up. Ready to explode.

I have learned though that during those times, it is NOT the best time to open my mouth.

All that comes out is just a blast of spew.

Toxic. Dangerous. Deadly.

Instead it's time to just 'back off' from the thoughts that are raging, time to sit back either physically or at least emotionally and mentally, and 'rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.' Psalm 37:7

Someone this week asked me how to do that.

When you can't physically sit down and 'rest', but have to get things done around the home, work, or whatever circumstance your dealing with, go about 'resting in the Lord', keeping your eyes on Him. Not going about slamming things, huffing and puffing, throwing things.

This IS not resting. It's a full blown temper tantrum because your totally ticked off about what is going on right now.

I also shared with her..'if you were on your own, you would have to do everything right? Will you do it than with a joy filled heart than? Go about doing as if you were doing unto the Lord

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Colossians 3:23

So today I am praying for those of you that are in a place where you need a touch, a lift up from the place where you have been lying prostrate (either be it physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually).

We are going to make it beloved ones. This will not last forever.

God IS so good. He will never leave us nor forsake us. I love this part that I read from Streams in the Desert:

Have you ever realized that whatever concerns you concerns Me too? "for whoever touches you touches the apple of My eye (Zech 2:8). You are more precious and honored in My sight (Isaiah 43:4). Therefore it is My special delight to teach you.

SIGH!!

Seriously I sighed after reading this when I posted it...

Makes me heart good....
