The wealthy are doing it wrong....

Right now out of fear they are putting so much of their money into Gold as a safe haven, when this is actually a time period in history when it is important that they invest in mankind. Karma is out there for them, when they leave their human form this choice they are making they will look back on with sadness. It is like the parable that Jesus gave about the 3 people that were given money by the King to invest, remember the one who buried it in the ground who got chastised..... well they are burying it in the ground right now.
The newspapers are not helping either by printing what the masses are doing, they would be doing a much greater service to mankind if they would instead seek out the few who are investing their money, and put them into the spotlight so others will want and desire to do the same thing. If we laud and praise the few that are understanding that there are so many people with "needs" that are not being met, and that there are some of the wealthy that are not just hiding money for their future "wants" I truly believe others will join in.
It is easy for the newspapers and other forms of Media to print the obvious and easy to find stories, it would be a true journalistic treasure if they looked beyond the surface and found the few.

It's a waste of time and doesn't work!

These are two of the biggest things I hear when I speak all over in reference to Social Media in business today. Is it the truth, or is it just the excuse the individual uses because they are not comfortable "selling" themselves to people?

Are they actually selling themselves or simply educating their friends and others as to what it is they do? Imagine if you had a business want or need, and didn't know who to turn to, and then later on found out that a good friend of yours or neighbor actually does what your need is for a living. Is there anyone you would rather have working with you or representing you than someone you already know?

FaceBook: It is simply your Sphere of Influence, and with over 600 million people on it, how can you deny this, or put it into the category of a "fad"? Never before have you been able to cost effectively market yourself or product to this segment which is statistically speaking the best area to get a return on your investment. It is cost effective, and you can market to them daily now, no more time consuming and costly mailings and ads. With FaceBook, the key is to be both a real person, and learn to market yourself without coming across as marketing yourself.

Twitter: If you are not a Sports Athlete, Rock Star, or Celebrity it is not one of the best areas to get a return on your time investment. I ruffle a lot of feathers with this statement, but so many educators teach people to join this Media because of the "aura" that surrounds it. In my opinion Twitter is 150 million people all trying to sell things to each other. I ask you have you ever gone to Twitter to do research on an expert or product? With this said, Twitter can be a great way to increase your Sphere of Influence if used properly, certain free applications like TwitterLocal.net or NearbyTweets.com can let you know of the local "active" people tweeting in your area. Use Twitter to sell yourself directly and become the expert to a whole new segment, and build your Sphere.

LinkedIn: The business people, the decision makers, it is the party of the "in" people, the crowd you want to be associated with. With the average age of 41, it is not a kids site. Many will say it is a Media that is for getting jobs, so true, but the reason it is, is because the decision makers of the companies you want to work at are there. So many ways to maximise with this site, but most importantly, create a great profile (an online resume) and get recommendations. The beauty is that you can be selling yourself to people you want to everyday by simply having it "out" there.

These are the three Medias you need to be using if you want to be able to get your message to the widest audience cost effectively. You can either do it now while not everyone is using it, and carve your niche, or you can wait until you are forced to in the changing business world. That younger generation that is coming up not only knows how to use these Medias way beyond what over 35 people do, but have numbers of followers that they cannot comprehend. The question I ask is how do you beat these new entrepreneurs coming up?

Experience, that is what the younger generation lacks. Imagine if YOU are one of the people who can step out of your comfort zone and start marketing yourself using the Medias properly, how much you can benefit during this window time period. I say window meaning that soon the way business is being done is going to change.

Real Estate is one of the greatest examples, the average age of a Real Estate agent is much higher than most industries, and when computers came in they lagged behind, when email became the way to communicate, they hopped on the band wagon way after everyone else. Do you think they will shift and change quickly this time? I think not, which means that those that do, are going to benefit like you would not believe.

The Medias now make it so you can contact and get your message to the masses, and get them to contact you! The key, is what to use. Understand the human behavior that stops most, and how simple systems put in place properly, will move you toward the life you dream of.

I show people what to use, and how monetize. I could have made this a 50 page document, but I give you a taste, and when I speak you will know how to capture leads with ease.

He couldn’t stand it any longer, he did what he thought was the best he could, but as he looked at his children sleeping he no longer felt the anger that he had inside each day that he went out into the world with. He felt beat, he was angry when his son said to him that he was hungry, he was hungry too. They looked up to him, and needed him to provide, and he felt like such a failure, his head now hung, he turned and looked at his sad wife’s face, she was so trying to have the strength to believe that everything would somehow work out.

Suddenly he got up and went to the door, his head was hung low, and his steps were slow as he headed out into the night. He did not like or care for the neighbor about a quarter mile away, but at this moment it did not seem to matter, he trudged toward their home. The dogs that he cursed most every day fell silent upon his ears as he came to the front door and gave a soft knock, yet loud enough to be heard. The man opened the door and had a slight scowl at the neighbor, as he could not see his face and had no idea why he was there. The scowl slowly turned to confusion, and his wife came to his side and put her hand on his arm as he looked at her and then back to the man on the front step.

Just as the man was going to ask what he wanted, he heard the neighbor’s voice, softer than usual say, “my family is hungry, and we need food…”

The wife’s head went up toward her husband’s face with her mouth gaped open, as he put his hand on the neighbor’s shoulder and said to him “please come in, and forgive me for being blind to this, we are blessed enough to be able to share plenty and would consider it an honor”.

Gave a speech, and I have to say I was all ears thinking that a billion dollars is a rather large sum of money, wondered what someone like that would do for the rest of his life?

First I must step back though, I knew he was going to be speaking, and I had been looking around. When I saw where they were I saw him and thought "oh how nice of this man to bring his son with him". Boy was I glad I didn't go say anything to him, for I was about to learn that Tony Hsieh was just a kid. Now to add to it even more I found out he had sold another company for 267 million a few years earlier. So what is this man going to talk about I wondered? He spoke of creating a company environment that had never been heard of before, it is even set up that you have to go through a training program, and at any point you can quit and they will give you $3,000 to quit, you see they want a dedicated happy employee. I felt so fortunate to be able to chat with him one on one for a few moments, he was even kind enough to give me a testimonial for my book Freedom For a Day(how excited was I : ) and got a great picture where I felt like I was an envious child looking up to this mature man... he is high on "happiness" so if you have the opportunity to read his new book "Delivering Happiness" you will be glad you did!

So what could possibly be more important?

Than appreciating each and every day we get to be here on Earth? Life is this gift that is just beyond our comprehension, and for some reason the human animal has the ability to focus on what they do not have instead of what they do. They can have great health, wonderful healthy children, food on the table, people that love them, yet they create and see in their mind something they decide is missing. Then of course you need to justify where your mind is so you give all kinds of supporting data as to why the void is important, and unfair.
How about taking that energy and taking a day to only see and focus on the beauty that is out there. What if you took a day and did not give any power to those who are hurting others with their words and actions. What if you ignored them, and while ignoring them keep your eyes seeing the beauty that the Lord has provided here while in this life form. Think of all those that have already come and gone, and do not have the opportunity to be able to see, feel, or be a part of what we are able to. What if we decided each person can be whoever they want to be, and supported their dreams with them instead of having our own fear of failure stop them from achieving a passion within. Success or failure is not really all that important, what is important is the attempt to move toward and do what feels right for you.
Go out of your way tomorrow to say nice things to everyone, all day long, and watch how much more beauty snuck into your life because allowed it: )

What's your dream?

At what point will you realize that you are the only one who stops you from taking the steps necessary towards it! Oh as long as the denail does not last until the very end, I do truly believe that you will one day have the realization that you had the potential and possibility to fulfill it. You need to make sure that you still have the energy necessary to live life in the way it is meant to be lived. How many people on the other side wish that they could have just one more chance or opportuntiy to try again, while they envy you have the energy and life to be able to go towards your passion.
So normal human behavior has almost 100% of the people grasping and holding onto excuses as to why they cannot. Have the realization that you are what is stopping you, oh yes I understand the "reasons" you give, but life is this short journey that has far to many opportunities and beauty overlooked.
Today is the day you will start a path that is different, and feel life inside you in a way that people dream of. Make the spirits not only envy you, but desire to help you in every step of the way.
There is energy within and without that wants to be a part of you, let it, feel life, don't watch from the sidelines, keep in mind what what Theradore Roosevelt said "pity those that do not know victory or defeat".
