Five Freelance Writing Opportunities

noreply@blogger.com (Ranee Wright) — Mon, 19 Apr 2010 07:27:00 -0700

How To Do Things
If you're looking for a freelance writing job where you can write about your interests, you may like How To Do Things. It's easy to find topics you're knowledgeable in, but you receive payment based on the article's popularity. If you don't mind revenue sharing sites, it's a great choice.

Break Studios
If you want to write for a set fee, Break Studios is a better option. They pay $8.00 per article (min 250 words). The downside is that some of the titles are a little crude.

Quality Gal
Another site that offers upfront payments. There is an extensive application process, but once you're accepted it’s a great outlet for improving your talent. Quality Gal pay is $12.00 per article, but you must be familiar with linking.

Ecopywriters
A content site that pays according to your skill level. Even at a low level, you can make two cents per word. The disadvantage of Ecopywriters is the scarcity of content choices.

Reviewstream
A unique site because it allows you to create a review about anything you want. There is no application process and the pay changes occasionally. Typically you will make about $2.50 an article at Reviewstream.

All of these sites pay frequently and are fairly easy to navigate.

Why join Associated Content?

noreply@blogger.com (Ranee Wright) — Thu, 15 Apr 2010 20:42:00 -0700

I have checked out several writing sites and Associated Content (AC) is by far the best. You may be able to make more money from a very few other writing sites but you may not enjoy the benefits of AC.

Support, feedback and tips from other writers.
Contests
AC ranks high on Google and other search engines making your articles at the top if you write properly for the internet (SEO, LSI, etc)
Upfront payments
Write about whatever you like (following submission guidelines)
Social media friendly - easily promote or link your articles
Meet wonderful writers
The list goes on and on

If you write for AC, what do you like best about the site?

How much money have I made?
As of yet, I have not seen the financial benefits of Xomba. Perhaps it helps improve your expert status or with backlinking but I have not made any money from publishing there or on referrals yet and I joined at the end of March 2010.

I give Xomba 6 stars.

Associated Content Producer

noreply@blogger.com (Ranee Wright) — Mon, 28 Sep 2009 18:13:00 -0700

I have searched a long time for ways to make money by freelancing from home; particularly by writing articles, stories and reviews. Associated Content is the first site I have found that pays off (excuse the pun;). There is also a great social network here. As a new member to the site, I have already made $30! Not bad for a beginner that also works full-time and is a single mom of 2.

If you are interested in writing, join me on this journey of discovery, extra money, and improving your writing with AC. Some people have even landed other writing jobs from the content they produce for AC!
