R1Soft’s continuous data protection is an application that performs high performance disk-based data protection for servers running either Windows or Linux operating systems. R1Soft’s continuous data protection suite comprises of CDP servers and CDP agents, with the agents synchronising snapshots (differential backups) with the CDP servers. The CDP server protects disk volume data from the connected agent machines and stores them at disk level using highly efficient block-level changes. The synchronisation between the agent and server is fully secured by a PGP key secured TCP/IP network, ensuring that your data is safe in transmission. The data is then compressed and encrypted on the server providing an additional layer of security.
