I am not ashamed to say that I got two of these so my wife and I can have mini Nerf wars in the house.

It is day 3, the house is now littered with spend darts, the living room is no mans land. I am running out of food, my wife has taken the kitchen and fortified herself. Even with the uncanny accuracy of the blaster, she is just too quick. She is not a very good shot, but the fast reload and six shots help even the score.

I do not know how much longer I can survive, at least I have the bathroom…

WOW…

At first I wasn’t sure what to think of Nerf’s new ELITE line of blasters.
Even now I’m a bit…annoyed? at Hasbro, Nerf and their R&D guys.
Lets face it, the Elite series is a slap in the face to all owners of considerable sized
N-strike arsenals.
But enough of the past, on to the future!!

Although I’m a novice at french press coffee makers, I find this one to be really easy. At first I was intimidated by the whole process, but its very clearly spelled out in the directions.
I spent some considerable time investigating which one to buy and I choose this one because Bodum was the “mac daddy” of french presses. I wanted to get the real deal. And I picked red because my kitchen has red accents and it looks nice sitting on my counter.
My husband whose more finicky than I about the taste, was very impressed. We have a small Mr Cofee maker that uses a paper filter and we also have a pricier Kitchen Aid with a gold filter. But this new Bodum is hands down better at making a good cup of coffee than the drip makers.
I was feeling lazy about the clean up, but again, its easier than I first anticipated. I just drain the excess water off, dump the majority of the grinds in the trash and the rest down the sink and the disposal handles it with ease. No big deal on clean up.
The only thing I havent mastered yet is the “grind” of the coffee. I think I will use the grocery store’s grinder next time I go. My cheapo coffee grinder isnt so great at consistant cousely ground coffee.
Overall I give this a thumbs up. I love my Bodum like its my new best friend!

Love this. And it’s huge. I knew when I purchased it that it was 34 oz– but I didn’t realize how much that actually was, I guess. I love it. I previously had the one from Ikea (the one that was recently recalled for exploding glass…. yeah….), because it was cheap and I figured it was about the same thing. Well, it’s not. This one is much better, with MUCH less silt at the bottom of your coffee. And, really, it’s very reasonably priced.

I had a one cup Bodum but often enough we needed to make coffee for 2+ and needed something bigger. After much research, went with this. Arrived shortly thereafter. It’s great looking, not too big but not too small, makes really 4 cups of coffee (full regular size mugs). The “8-Cup” part is BS. 34 oz/8 = 4.25oz/cup does not equal 8 oz in a normal cup. But then again, it’s a “French Press” and perhaps their “cups” are smaller. Anyway, it worked great. It’s stylish and sexy, if a coffee press can be sexy. Only problem is I knocked it off a perhaps 3 foot table and it smashed on the plastic linoleum (floor wasn’t that hard). So no I have to buy another one any be more careful.
