The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a huge part of the Thanksgiving holiday for most Americans. It shows up on NBC every Thanksgiving morning, and memorizes kids across the country as they see their favorite cartoon characters, pop stars, celebrities, and of course, plenty of marching band performances.

This year is no different, and to the joy of many toddlers and elementary school kids (and some of you parents out there!!), the Fresh Beat Band will be LIVE at the parade, performing at various stops across the city.

A Fresh Beat Band Tour has been speculated about for a year or more.

Parents have mentioned it in the online social circles, asked question about it on websites, and there has been rumors about a tour happening, but there has been no real proof that Nickelodeon had any plans to make a fresh beat band tour

…until now.

I have heard that the Fresh Beat Band Tour will simply be called, “The Fresh Beat Band Live” tour. So in doing some online research I looked into buying the domain name – freshbeatbandlive.com

When I went to purchase it, I saw it was already taken. Someone has thought of the same idea and beaten me to the punch.

I had to see who had purchased the domain. I was expecting to find it belonged to a “john smith”. A regular person, but when I looked, I saw this…

In case you don’t know, Viacom is the parent company of Nickelodeon.

Why else would Viacom buy the domain – freshbeatbandlive.com if there wasn’t a freshbeatbandlive tour planned?

And, it’s been in he works for awhile now. Look at the date it was purchased.

The rumors are indeed true.

The Fresh Beat Band Live Tour is in the works. Now, with this website, you can make sure that it comes to an area near you. I’ll let you know more about that shortly.

This was something I found very interesting.

This article talked about children and how much sleep they really need. It asks the question, are you children sleeping enough?

Most people know that young children require lots and lots of sleep. But, what is enough sleep?

A quote from the article about what sleep deprivation on your child can do:

“Not receiving enough sleep may lead to a drop in performance, irritability and in some cases, symptoms of attention deficit hyperactive disorder,” says Dr. Mohammad H. Madantschi, a sleep specialist with the Pacific Sleep Center.

The causes of lack of sleep may vary, from mental stimulation to failure to keep a regular sleep routine, Madantschi says.”

So, the cool thing is, one mother who was interviewed for the article, uses the Fresh Beat Band to get her daughter to go to sleep. Wow! I would think it would be just the opposite. Ya know since the fresh beat band is such an upbeat show. For example, if you’ve ever been to a fresh beat band concert (and hopefully, you’ll all have the chance soon when they do a fresh beat band tour) you know the kids are jumping out of their seats, not sitting quietly in them.

Just goes to show you, never assume anything.

Yes, Halloween is coming and the Fresh Beat Band is prepared.

There is a special Fresh Beat Band “Ghost Story” episode that was filmed for season 3.

At the time of this writing there has been a delay in the airing of new episodes for season 3.

Come on….let’s see the new ones. Our kids are having Fresh Beat withdrawal.

Anyway, the rumor (or hope) is that this new episode will be shown right in time for Halloween.

This episode is #13 of season 3. Hmmm, coincidence that episode #13 is about ghosts and a ghost town??

There have been a promotional push going on for the Fresh Beat Band over the past few months. More so than ever before.

Just check the list of live performances that have occurred:

Did you maybe see them perform live at Sesame Place?

Perhaps you saw them performing on television on “The View?”

Maybe, you made it to Washington D.C. to see them live on stage, as the opening act, during nick’s “Day of Play”.

Or…maybe you have tickets to see them as a special guest when they perform with Jason Mraz in carnegie hall in nyc at the end of November.

All these promotions. All these live appearances. It’s becoming clear and making and obvious. The Fresh Beats are getting ready to put on some type of tour, and it’s going to be in 2012.

According to some “online chatter” and Tara Perry, there is indeed something planned for 2012.

Maybe after the filming of the newest season finishes, and the newest cast member has been there a little longer and all the members can clear their schedules, you’ll see The Fresh Beat Band hit the road and come to a city near you.

But. Here’s the important part – Let’s make sure.

So, let’s give nickelodeon the little “umph” they need to make sure it happens.

The worldwide day of play is an annual event from nickelodeon.

This year it was in Washington D.C. and the opening act on the main stage was the fresh beat band. This just shows how popular a tour will be. And, you can feel it – a tour is definitely coming.

News of the Fresh Beat Band performing live – that you can take your kids to go see.

The Fresh Beat Band will be performing in New York City and Washington D.C.

First, in Washington D.C. in the “Worldwide Day of Play” – which is Saturday, September 24 – the Fresh Beat Band is scheduled to be on the stage around 10:30 AM. There is also rumors of a possible meet and greet afterwards.

If you are in the D.C. area this may be something you want to bring your kids too. The crowds can be really hectic however so plan to arrive early.
