The components of the mind/ body and spirit are interconnected and an imbalance in areas nutritionally, psychologically, physically, emotionally, environmentally, socially, and spiritually can contribute and trigger these disorders.

The Declareit app has the ability to effect and combat negative thoughts using true declarations and affirmations. Declareit has put together an extensive list of declarations to choose from regarding the Mind, Body and Spirit, categorized alphabetically.
After choosing the positive declaration . . .
(“Fear never makes the right choice; I will not choose anything out of fear”),

“You can program the app to have the declaration come up as many times during the day as you want it to… (Once every hour, once a day, etc.) causing a negative thought to be replaced and a positive thought to be realized, states co-founder Gina Blaze.”

The Declareit app is for everyone!!! It’s like having a private coach in the palm of your hand, giving instant wisdom and encouragement at a moment of need. If you are struggling in any area, mind, body or spirit, there is a declaration for you!
Changing negative thoughts…will change your world and mine!

“Watch your thoughts, for they become your words.
Watch your words for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Insightful Stories & Provoactive Questions that Unlock the Hidden Secrets to Winning Big in Business and Life

“A tremendously engaging read. AmyK reveals the fears and foibles we all face, sparking readers to reflect on our own leadership journey.”— Marshall Goldsmith, New York Times Bestselling Author of Triggers

San Diego, CA – Leadership is something every organization and company has to deal with on a daily basis. Where are we going? Why are we going? Who is leading? Are they worthy of following? Issues surface daily about the ripple effects from leaders like Jeff Bezos’ working conditions at Amazon to Twitter naming a new CEO. In her new book, The Secrets Leaders Keep (Emerge Publishing, Oct. 2015), AmyK exposes the doubts and fears most leaders are not willing to share. Secrets about who they are, how they play and why they lead the way they do.

Drawing from her intimate experiences facilitating Leadership Think Tanks in multiple cities across America for over a decade, The Secrets Leaders Keep is jammed packed with take-a-ways leaders can use to accelerate their Leadership Learning Curve. With ‘cut-to-the-chase insights’ and hilarious, poignant stories, AmyK’s Secrets will resonate with seasoned executives as well as emerging managers. Through the intimate lens of 14 different leaders, including but not limited to: a serial entrepreneur, non-profit leader, football coach, CEO, VP of Marketing, a former politician, an architect, as well as an activist, the book pulls you into the lives of relatable characters by ingeniously capturing the fears and foibles they face on a daily basis – the secrets leaders keep. The unique story-telling approach reveals secrets that most leaders would not readily share. Secrets about their politics, philosophies and perceptions. Secrets about who they are, how they play and why they lead. Secrets about how they struggle with personal and leadership growth while simultaneously growing a company or an organization’s bottom line. And in true AmyK style her provocative questions force readers to face their own secrets and work toward being leaders even more worthy of their followers.

AmyK likes to say, “People don’t want another slide deck. Storytelling is ingrained in our DNA. There are some aspects of life where we need to hear stories in order to better understand the message.”

Underneath the title, the role, or the business jacket of a leader is a human being struggling to figure it out – a leader with secrets. “Leaders often keep secrets because they believe others will find it difficult to understand the basis for their leadership success or failure. They believe others will scoff at the simplicity or complexity of their leadership style or criticize their work ethic. Many leaders find it even harder to share their secret fears, weaknesses and self-doubts for fear of being judged harshly or being perceived as unworthy of their leadership position.”

Leaders often say, “It’s lonely at the top!” AmyK’s response, “Not anymore!”

And for you. And for anyone who has had to try again. This book is personal and powerful.”
— Carl Lentz, Hillsong NYC, Patron Saint of the NBA

Orlando, FL – In America, we love determined people. There’s just something about the American mindset that applauds the individual who refuses to accept defeat, who won’t give up, and who won’t go away. Take for example Tim Tebow, who recently signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, and his comeback. “There’s a fresh wave of ‘Tebowmania’” (USA Today, 4/22/15). As success coach and author Dave Martin says, “You will never lose if you get back up.” And in his new book, Another Shot (Emerge Publishing, June 2015), Dave shares his time-tested advice of how to get back up to succeed.

Drawing from many of his own life experiences, Another Shot relates a few of Dave’s own mishaps – like being expelled from college and making and then losing a million dollars before he was thirty. The book then demonstrates the steps he took and the habits he developed to rebound from these missteps to become a highly respected success coach and leader. Using the analogy of basketball (and sports in general) to illustrate the ‘game of life’, Dave parallels life truths to the fundamentals that guide the game of hoops. “In basketball, for instance, the rebounder is the designated team member who is responsible for grabbing the ball after a missed shot so another shot can be attempted…,” states Dave. “Like a rebounder, we must be the one to grab the loose ball and put it back up again in an extra effort to score.”

Woven throughout the book are solid coaching moments including stories of athletes, business professionals, politicians, history-makers, and Bible characters who failed, had devastating setbacks in life, and then rebounded to achieve their greatest victories. Using the characteristics of Attitude, Effort and Technique, Another Shot is organized in three sections: The Attributes of a Winner (Determination, Aggressiveness, Fearlessness); The Basics of the Game (Preparation, Positioning, Teamwork), and The Results of Practice and Hard Work (Strength, Balance, Contact, Timing, and Control). The book has received early praise from several athletes and coaches including Grant Hill, Evander Holyfield, R. Jay Barsh, Tyler Summit and Pat Williams, along with recognized leaders AmyK Hutchens, Lee Cockerell, and Carl Lentz.

“When life knocks you down and you just don’t feel like trying again, it can be easy to quit on yourself and your dreams,” says Dave. “But the truth is, great athletes do not reach the pinnacle of success without tasting the bitter pill of defeat a few times along the way. And championship teams never raise the trophy at their welcome-home parade until they flounder a few times first. So as a coach, at your lowest moment is when I want to grab you by the shoulders, make direct eye contact with you, and say, ‘Get back up. Get moving. You have work to do. The game is a long way from being over. Take Another Shot at it.’

His advice will flip your paradigm, shatter your status quo and propel your leadership forward. More than ever, you likely need these treatments.”

— TIM SANDERS, FORMER CSO AT YAHOO! AND AUTHOR OF LOVE IS THE KILLER APP

Hackensack, NJ – Why is exceptionalism so important right now? Just ask RadioShack.
“After years of struggling to be relevant to customers, RadioShack will become a parable, a warning to other retailers of what can happen when you stop thinking about WOW-ing your customers and stick to old ways of doing business.”
states Lior Arussy of the Strativity Group and author of Exceptionalize It! (4i Publishing April, 2015). “Additionally, overzealous profit focus makes companies create stupid and aggressive processes. Without a solid customer centric foundation, people will continue to abuse customers – that’s why Exceptionalize It! matters right now.”

You have no other choice in today’s business landscape than to be anything other than exceptional or you will get passed by. Meeting expectations is no longer sufficient. Doing your job is not a reason to keep you as an employee. Customers expect exceptional experiences. Managers demand exceptional performance. And ultimately, your commitment to excellence requires it. Exceptionalize It! (4i Publishing, April 2015) is a manifesto of how to rise up to the exceptional performance within organizations and within us as individuals. It is a wake-up call to stop accepting mediocrity and average performance. And yes, Exceptionalize It! will be a mirror that may reveal an inconvenient truth. While respecting your achievements to date, staying relevant requires you to constantly examine the simple question: Are you Exceptional?

Lior Arussy goes on to say, “we took everything we do for our clients that makes them exceptional and addressed those issues across four dimensions: Customer, You, Manager, and Success.” “The window to Exceptionalize It! is getting narrower. Tweaking old formulas of success is not bold enough to impress customers. Yesterday’s cool is today’s norm and tomorrow’s boring.”

His legacy is a civil rights fight that won black people the right to life in America.

And almost 50 years after his racism-related death, our sons continue to be sacrificed for the equality that we’re still being denied.

As black Americans, we are forced to accept behavior that is unacceptable in today’s global world. We’re denied credit because of our address, followed around in stores and suspect in high-end restaurants. We must teach our sons to hold both hands out of the car window when pulled over by the police and not to have too many friends in the car at once…. just as a matter of survival.

Our mothers still lay awake praying all night, watching the door, terrified that the phone might ring with bad news that the son she loves, because his pants fell below the belt line, was shot and killed during his short three block walk home from his night shift at work.

The truth is that while many people still deny the deep-rooted issues and the legacy of historical injustices in the black community, recent events in the news are forcing the blinders to come off and stand as the most visceral acts of racism today.
So where do we go from here?

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom.”

Life Stations Centers of Excellence is leading the charge for equality…taking our fight to the men and women who we elected to office believing that they would serve and protect us.

We’re lobbying for legislation that punishes overt and subtle acts of racism which directly and indirectly causes the death of any individual; with stricter punishment for acts which result in the death of individuals under the age of 25.

STAND WITH US. As our voices united together deliver a clear message that it is not okay to kill our sons, husbands and brothers. And we will no longer stand on the sidelines taking pictures of the injustice while injustice prevails.
JOIN US on Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday; Thursday, January 15, 2015 in areas across the United States. We are gathering in Washington DC, in Albany New York, Canton Ohio, Chicago Illinois and in front of local and regional town halls across the United States demanding new laws to protect all people, especially black men, from racists acts of violence.

I realize that time in short. But that only means that there is no time to waste. Everyday that we delay, is another possibility of loss of life.
When history looks back on these days and at the collective deaths of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Mike Brown and what appears to be a growing list of others, it must be taught as the turning point. It must be said that the opportunity presented itself for society to finally evolve beyond color, and we took it!

Keith Ferrazzi, bestselling author of Who’s Got Your Back & Never Eat Alone

Denver, CO – The American Society of Training and Development’s 2012 industry report indicated that American businesses alone spent a staggering $156 billion on employee learning and development. Despite this investment, nearly two-thirds of organizations report that senior managers are deficient in leadership skills, and even more indicate that supervisors lack these skills.

This is the challenge that Morag Barrett addresses in her new book, Cultivate: The Power of Winning Relationships (Franklin Green, March 2014) .

The average manager spends between 70-90 percent of their time working with others, whether attending meetings, ad hoc gatherings, or responding to individual questions. Morag states, “in the work we do with senior leaders and teams; all this interaction is a wasted opportunity without deliberate attention on developing effective working relationships.”

Lack of focus on HOW work gets done is a very short sighted approach, with real business consequences. Barrett goes on to say, “to cultivate winning relationships means we take each relationship to the next level and build a personal connection, seeking to understand what motivates the person, what fears may be holding them back, how our individual styles are similar or different, and the implications for working together to deliver and outstanding result. Business relationships determine business success!”

Cultivate: The Power of Winning Relationships (Franklin Green, March 2014) is full of practical insights from 20 years of global experience. Morag helps every reader grow with real-world case studies, illuminating diagrams, a practical plans of action to improve both workplace and personal relationships.

Whether you’re a senior leader, or new in the workplace, you’ll see the world of work in a whole new way. Morag Barrett and Cultivate will help your team, and career, blossom.

Loveland, CO — The hard numbers leave no doubt that the American church is in a steady decline. According to the Hartford Institute of Religion Research, more than 40 percent of people say they go to church every week, but statistics show that fewer than 20 percent actually attend. More than 4,000 churches close their doors every year. Between 2010 and 2012, half of all churches in the U.S. did not add any new members. Each year 2.7 million church members fall into inactivity. And that’s just the tip of the statistical iceberg.

But according to a new book titled Why Nobody Wants to Go to Church Anymore, hard numbers don’t tell the whole story. Hundreds of interviews and extensive hands-on research from a variety of sources reveal four basic reasons people don’t want to go to church anymore: they don’t want to be lectured, and they view the church as judgmental, hypocritical, and irrelevant.

“Americans have been leaving the Christian church in droves for decades. We’ve watched church leaders try a variety of methods to bring them back, and nearly all of their efforts are missing the mark,” say authors Thom and Joani Schultz, whose best-selling book, Why Nobody Learns Much of Anything at Church, changed the way tens of thousands of churches conduct Christian education.
Why Nobody Wants to Go to Church Anymore: And How 4 Acts of Love Will Make Your Church Irresistible reveals the surprising results about what’s really working in the church and what isn’t. The book asks one main, challenging question: What if churches offered a brand-new way to experience God based on faith as a relationship? Churches can be optimistic that they can bring people back—if church leaders are willing to make some revolutionary changes to the way they approach ministry.

Why Nobody Wants to Go to Church Anymore isn’t all about pointing fingers. While the shortcomings of the modern church are acknowledged, the majority of the book focuses on four tested and proven basic principles for drawing people back to the church: the “4 Acts of Love.” The book offers readers a behind-the-scenes look into a “bold new experiment” that puts the four acts of love into action with the non-churched and the “de-churched”—an experiment so successful that it’s now being used in hundreds of locations around the U.S., Canada, and beyond.

“We’ve heard thousands of people tell us their stories, and the common thread is that the average church service is not connecting with them. People want God, just not how the church packages him,” the Schultzes say.

About the Authors: Thom and Joani Schultz have spent their entire adult lives serving the church and challenging the status quo. Thom is the founder and CEO of Group Publishing, a creator of innovative ministry resources for children, youth, and adults. Joani is Group’s chief creative officer. Together they oversee Group Cares, a nonprofit organization that’s helped nearly 400,000 people serve others around the world. They’ve also written several best-selling books for church leaders, including Why Nobody Learns Much of Anything at Church.

“Highly Recommended is a smart way to establish meaningful differentiation for your brand and to use the web to take word-of-mouth marketing and the power of recommendation – both implicit and explicit – to new heights.”
President of Americas, Google – Margo Georgiadis

Chicago, IL – 92% of all consumers report that a word-of-mouth recommendation is the “leading reason they buy a product or service” (Nielson 2012). In Highly Recommended (McGraw-Hill, Sept 2013) Paul M. Rand, president and CEO of Zócalo Group – Omnicom Group’s leading digital, social media and word-of-mouth agency, offers proven methods for brands and businesses to become the most highly recommended in their respective categories.

While word-of-mouth has always been marketing’s Holy Grail, social media has completely changed the dynamic of how businesses are being managed today. “Recommendations and word-of-mouth, of course have always been important. But in the age of social media, there has been a fundamental shift in how companies need to run their business,” states Rand. “One to one communication has become one to millions. Word-of-mouth is now on steroids. How a business, product or service is talked about and recommended is becoming recognized as one of the most essential, if not the most essential part of the marketing mix.”

Rand brings to life compelling case studies and examples for many of the most recommended brands including, Dove, Frito-Lay, Nissan, and Subway. “Some of the most brilliant minds in business can argue incessantly about marketing strategy. But ask them how they want their product to be talked about and they get focused very quickly”, says Rand. “It’s not about social media, it’s about becoming a social business, and that’s driving all aspects of the business to be focused on the optimal outcome of making a brand the most highly recommended in its category.”

Highly Recommended (McGraw-Hill, Sept. 2013) doesn’t just talk about becoming the most talked about business or brand but rather provides step-by-step guidance on how to do it, and do it well including: understanding where and how your brand – and your competitors – are talked about and recommended; developing a recommendable brand strategy; articulating your “sharable story”; discovering the people whose recommendations influence your brand’s purchase decisions; creating compelling content and experiences that engage – the 90/10 Rule; and identifying and neutralizing “Hear Me’s,” “Reputation Terrorists” and “Competitive Destroyers”.

From marketing to customer service to human resources and even innovation, Rand shows how companies can change the way their businesses and brands are operating under the simple measureable idea of becoming highly recommended. “I have known Paul for years and have tremendous respect for his intellect, wit, and the results he’s achieved in helping companies build stronger businesses and brands,” states Margo Georigiadis, President of Americas, Google.

Sarah became convinced after recently experiencing the interactive lessons and games included in the Heaven is for Real for Kids: 13 Sunday school lessons, taken from 12-year-old Colton Burpo’s trip to heaven and back.

Colton’s story, first recorded in The New York Times bestseller Heaven is for Real, has touched over seven million readers. Published in popular kids’ form in November 2011, Heaven is for Real for Kids hit #1 on The New York Times bestseller list and has currently sold over 500,000 copies to young readers. Now Tommy Nelson and Todd Burpo, Colton’s father, have partnered with Group Publishing to create two hands-on resources for kids to help them understand what heaven is really like: Heaven is for Real for Kids: 13 Sunday School Lessons for ages 4-8 and Heaven is for Real for Kids: 4 DVD-based Sunday School Lessons for ages 9-12.

“When kids ask adults about heaven, adults will say that the streets are made of gold,” says Colton. “But what kids really want to know is who’s in heaven? What will I do in heaven? Is my pet in heaven? I help answer these questions for them.”

Heaven is for Real for Kids: 13 Sunday School Lessons for kids ages 4-8 is centered on pivotal moments in the book. With activities, games, and interactive prayers, kids are given the opportunity to explore the wonders of eternity with God and grow closer to God along the way.

In the four DVD-based lessons for ages 9-12, the Burpo family talks about Colton’s experiences of heaven and answers preteens’ questions of: What is in heaven? Who is in heaven? Who is the God of heaven? And how do I get to heaven? Some kids may be surprised to learn that if they go to heaven as a child, they still have to go to school and still get homework. “This will be the only time you hear me say this,” says Colton. “One of my favorite parts of heaven was that I got homework from Jesus. Who wouldn’t want homework from Jesus?” Colton also discusses all the people he met, the things he saw, what angels look like and what they do, God’s infinite love and how big He is, and how adults have jobs in heaven.

“The heart and soul of these resources is Colton’s very simple message based on his personal experience,” says Jennifer Hooks, Managing Editor of Children’s Ministry Resources at Group Publishing. “God wants everyone in heaven with him, and it’s not hard to get there. Heaven and God are real.”

Colton was nearly 4 years old when he experienced a burst appendix; it was during his emergency surgery that he visited heaven. Colton says Jesus sent him back to earth because it was his dad Todd’s prayer that Colton would get to live his life.

Todd Burpo is pastor of Crossroads Wesleyan, a volunteer fireman, and works with a garage door company. His wife, Sonja, is a children’s minister, busy pastor’s wife, and mom. Colton has an older sister, Cassie, and a younger brother, Colby.

According to the CDC, depression can adversely affect the course and outcome of common chronic conditions, such as arthritis, asthma, cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. Depression also can result in increased work absenteeism, short-term disability, and decreased productivity. It’s predicted by the year 2020, depression will be the 2nd most common health problem in the world.

Carol McLeod, bestselling author and CEO of Just Joy!, an advocate for women’s emotional health, wants to change that with her 21 Days to Beat Depression Campaign.

Carol struggled with a deep, dark depression for years after a fight with infertility and losing five children. Carol had two little boys when she got pregnant and lost her baby at 12 weeks. Carol got pregnant and lost another baby at 14 weeks and another one at 16 weeks. After seeing an infertility specialist at Duke, Carol got pregnant again and lost her baby at 19 weeks. Trying once more, Carol got pregnant and lost her baby at 16 weeks. Carol sent five babies to heaven and couldn’t get pregnant anymore. Carol was suffering from depression.

But Carol found ultimate happiness through her faith in God and inspiration in reading scriptures, and she wants to help other women win the fight of depression. “I was delivered from depression before my circumstances ever changed,” says Carol. “I really do believe that joy is God’s will for every day … for every minute that you are breathing the atmosphere of earth.” And even though Carol sent five babies to heaven, today, she has five children on earth.

The 21 Days to Beat Depression campaign is being launched on January 21, 2013, this year’s official Blue Monday. Everyday there will be a plan to follow: a scripture to read, a song to listen to, a funny video clip to watch, or the encouragement of a testimony of another woman who has overcome depression. 21 Days to Beat Depression is a strategic design to overcome depression through encouragement, inspiration, laughter, real answers, and more. “When our emotional health is well, our family, relationships, employment, finances – our entire lifestyle benefits,” says Carol.

Women can access the 21 Days to Beat Depression Campaign on Facebook, twitter@justjoyceo, or through email.

“It takes 21 days, three weeks, to develop a new habit,” states Carol. “We believe we can help women beat depression in 21 days with our strategy and with God’s help.”
