So I only thought it be about time someone {ME!} came up with a WordPress theme to match it. Introducing the Twitter WordPress Theme inspired by Twitter, of course.

It’s a very clean and simple theme, the major thing you will notice here is that the comment textarea comes before the comments itself ala Twitter.

The special thing about this theme is that you can create a “Socialize” page, which you can view on the test site, so that people can leave you random thoughts, just like on Twitter.

Except of course here they will just be targeted towards your blog and whatever topic you pick. It’s a great way to start a conversation about something and leave your readers to debate between themselves.

With over 900 downloads of just that theme and a hundred or so off my other WordPress themes this month has been pretty good. We’ve been linked too by hundreds of sites, each of which I thank profusely for taking the time to write about my work, I also see my themes in use by quite some bloggers. Some of which have even customized them to their liking.

I also would like to thank those that donated money too have the footer link removed, rather than some who just decided to remove it without doing so. Ah well…

The best part was when I happened to glance at my Search Status plugin chart for the blog a few days back and was AMAZED to see that we’ve been listed in DMOZ in under one month of being live. Which is nothing short of amazing to me.

So here’s to another month of knock out WordPress themes and more…

OK, so this theme is all about giving importance to the one thing that either makes or breaks your post, Your Title. A lot of bloggers, me included, cannot stress enough how important a good title is for your posts. I tend to spend at least 10 - 15 minutes thinking up one, by the time I’m done with my post I’ve probably revised it like 3 or 4 times. If not more.

So yeah, Titles Are Important!

I think this theme will help you write better ones. Generally, this theme can be used by video bloggers as the front page will show your latest video posts, along with another featured written post. Down below your titles will be shown, along with comment numbers, instead of a mile long blog front page.

This addresses a few concerns -

• The load time is considerably less, as you are only loading two posts and a bunch of titles.
• Your home page is not miles long.

To prepare for this theme so it works well with your blog, follow these steps -

1. Create a category called “Featured” so that your featured posts will show up on the home page.
2. Create a category called “Videos” so that your video posts will show up on the home page as well.
3. Edit your email subscription option in the “tabs.php” file so that people can subscribe via email. Please read the ReadMe file once you activate the theme for more details.
4. The footer has three widgetized areas which show up on the home page and all inner blog pages {Sidebar 1, Sidebar 2, Sidebar 3}.
5. The single posts and inner pages have one extra sidebar {Sidebar 4}.

I just wanted to make a quick post to thank all those who have linked back, downloaded themes, and especially those that have donated for the themes they’ve downloaded.

Trust me, there’s a lot more still to come. I’ve only just begun. I’ve also lined up some tutorials that will help WordPress developers and anyone else looking at customizing their themes themselves.

The main features of this theme are -

1. Theme designed with Valid CSS
2. Fast loading, with post titles optimized for search engines
3. Separate page templates for “About“, “Archives” and a pre-built “Privacy” page to adhere with advertiser privacy terms, such as in the Google Adsense program.
4. 160 x 600 advertisement area above the sidebar, simply edit sidead.php from your admin panel and place your advertisements code
5. The left footer area is widgetized and can be customized from your “Widgets” admin area. To customize the 300 x 250 ad area on the right, edit footad.php from your admin panel.
6. A “No Sidebar” page template, incase you don’t want to show your sidebar.
7. A “Blank” page template incase you want to set up some sweet affiliate landing pages or sales pages, or whatever. Just create a new page using the “Blank” template and then edit headerblank.php and footerblank.php to customize to your hearts content. Our credit link can be removed with a $5 donation
8. Alternate colors for comments, and author gets special comment highlighting.
9. A bunch of plugins prepackaged, upload and activation required, to help you make the most of this theme.
10. Clean layout, great readability, looks good and most of all it’s FREE!
