Hot off performing at Okeechobee Festival, Sleigh Bells are headed to Dallas. Last year they dropped their new album, Jessica Rabbit and it sounds like nothing they've ever done before. Its playful and dark and aware with themes of rebirth, being awake to all the BS that has been happening recently in the world - we definitely had this on repeat since the US Election. But don't worry its not all doom and gloom and heaviness, these two still want to rage. We can't wait to hear tracks from the new album live and of course some of our old favourites. Taken off her mixtape, Real Ting Stefflon Don releases her video for 16 Shots and we are obsessed. 16 Shots' was filmed on location in Jamaica, directed by Steff herself alongside collaborator Luke Biggins from 54 London Films. The clip shows off Steff's dancehall influences and highlights another incredible cut from the debut record that's making-waves across the globe.  We're so stoked for her debut Headline show in April!

This summer we got a chance to hang and shoot with actor and comedian Tony Cavalero and haven’t stopped laughing since! No seriously have you seen his snapchat? His story nearly always features funny behind the scenes moment from his various projects and original skits. This year we got to see Tony as Dewey Finn on Nickelodeon's breakout show School of Rock, we totally fell in love with his surfer, Dazed and Confused take on Dewey, the character made famous of course by Jack Black in the film! In Between seasons you can catch him in Groundlings’ latest production THE HOOK UP APP. Directed by Jordan Black, the show moves at a blistering fast and fun pace featuring 14 skits in 2 hours! Tony’s FriendsinISIS skit (just the name alone makes it seem like this could go terribly wrong) is hilarious and breath of fresh air all things considered with the whole Isis/terrorism fear going around. It's a light take on a heavy subject. The show runs through November 16  and is definitely one to put on your radar. Tickets are available at http://groundlings.com

Lady Gaga has returned to New York! Hours  before the release of her fifth album, Gaga made her return to the place where it all started - The Bitter End, a dive bar where she performed at when first dipping her toes in the NYC music scene. Her homecoming was an emotional one. Before her performance of the album's title track and perhaps the song closest to Gaga's heart, she acknowledged her parents and the venue for her success even noting how the venue moved their grand piano, a permanent fixture at the venue off the main stage just for her. Joined on stage by collaborators Mark Ronson and Hilary Lindsey, Gaga performed fan favourite Million Reasons (where she was so overwhelmed by the crowd’s response that she finished the first verse with them singing a Capella), Joanne, and three more never before heard tracks consisting of Grigio Girls, a collaboration with Lindsey, Another Day, co-written with Ronson and Diamond Heart.  After her set she joined the crowd and was surrounded by her family, fans and celebs including Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson of Broad City fame, Robert Dinero and Dame Helen Mirren for a quick toast in support of this incredible night and Bud Light. Then Gaga took her show to the balcony above Bleeker street for a emotional and moving acoustic set in which if you've been following Gaga for since the beginning it was really something. There's nothing like seeing a home show with emotions running high. Fans and family gathered around while Gaga belted out in between tears, clearly moved by how much love was in the crowd. On a wispy Wednesday evening last week we caught veteran garage rockers The Kills at the Granada. At their live shows one can always feel the electricity in the air, the anticipation of fans dying to see the dynamic duo behind hits like U R A Fever, Heart of a Dog and Baby Says, the brief moment of truth where the opener ( Kim + the Created were fabulous by the way - more on them on the blog soon!) finishes and you know who are up next all these things give off such a lively energy that can only be found with the Kills. At 10:15 pm sharp out walk Jaime and Alison, clearly surprised by the amount of love in the room - to be honest Dallas has been starved for a Kills show for awhile ; who open their set with Heart of a Dog, off their new album Ash and Ice.  During their hour and a half set they blaze through crowd favourites like URA FEVER and Sour Cherry, deep cuts such as Goodnight Bad Morning, Pots and Pans and new classics like Whirling Eye and Impossible Tracks. Speaking of Impossible tracks, they just released a new music video for the track which you can check out below!

Is it Friday yet? Earlier this week Lady Gaga confirmed we would be hearing the new single from LG5 Perfect Illusion this Friday and has released the single art work, a sneak peak at lyrics and a preview shot which appears to be from a music video or some other visual. What we know so far about the single is that Gaga has made Perfect Illusion with Mark Ronson, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker and Justin Beiber/Grimes producer BloodPop. We are also obsessing over this more laid back Rock and Roll look. Let the countdown begin!
