The man behind MOCA: Art In The Streets and producer of Exit Through The Gift Shop is back with a new venture in 2012. Roger Gastman hits the documentary arena with Wall Writers: Graffiti In It’s Innocence, a detailed journey to the era before vandals actually became graffiti writers. Beginning in the 1960′s the film, brings direct access pioneers and visionaries like Taki 183, Cornbread and Coco 144. And that’s just to begin with. Trailer after the jump

In the late 80′s 2 sets of fashion hungry kids from Brooklyn teamed up to become one of the strongest forces NYC would see to this day. The crews, Ralphies Kids and Polo USA formed the Lo-Life’s [read more]. Draped in primo POLO by Ralph Lauren they created a culture for themselves that continues to span generations. And now with the official endorsement from Lo-Life founder RACK LO, the Lo Lifestyle is popping overseas. In 2010 the London Ralph Lauren Chapter (LRLC) was formed. Although, we should probably keep an eye on they’re charter status. Because if they can’t even posse up for a crew photo shoot, it’s unlikely they’ll be able to carry on the legacy of Lo-Life’s in the UK. A well done video by Bristol outfit, Broken Antenna. Unless you’re Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, or even Diplo for that matter, being a career DJ can suck sometimes. Long hours, less than reasonable pay and of course the cut throat, gig stealing haters. Well don’t stress. Here’s a little something to give you a one up.

Original 1929 German made Panzer prototype. At the time, one of the lightest tanks to ever see production.

German artist Nik Nowak may have just added a whole new level to the game with his Panzer Soundtank. At least you know you’ll never be short of any sound, because you be pulling up in it. Check the video after the jump.

Vaughn x Mark Bodé Jigsaw Puzzle + Commercial

In a perfect world the name Vaughn Bodé would be as well known as Barak Obama. In the arenas of graffiti and underground art the Bodé name is a title of royalty that has been inspiring artists since before his death in 1975. Since then, his heir apparent Mark Bodé has carried on the family tradition to the fullest and has even taken it a step further to finish a few of his dad’s unfinished works. One of those projects, not only got the book release treatment, but is being released as a jigsaw puzzle as well. Frequent artist facilitator, Tools of the Trade is releasing a Vaughn Bode “Lizard of Oz” Jigsaw Puzzle as well as one by Mark Bodé entitled “Wanna Ride?”

Dr. King said, “judge a man not by the color of his skin but by the contents of his character.” In this case, judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by his artistic ability. “The final selection was done by a mostly African American design team and was based solely on artistic ability.” There was alot of drama over the fact that a Chinese sculptor was chosen for the project. Later for that. Lei Yi Xin is a Master Sculptor. Anytime you see the term “Master” preceding the name of someones trade, it means that person is a BOSS. It shouldn’t have been about the color of the person who was going to do the project. It should have been about who was going to do it right. In this case it was Master Sculptor Lei Yi Xin.

Taking a break from the bullsh*t and the beefs, The UK king of street swing Banksy’s step back from graffiti / street art, and drops a hilarious “documentary” centered around the history of contemporary pranking. The movie, which aired recently on UK TVrecently is almost a celebration of pranking more so than an expose´. In a statement on Channel 4′s website, Banksy admitted, “Basically I just thought it was a good name for a TV programme and I’ve been working back from there.” All jokes aside this movie is seriously hilarious. serioulsly.
