In Their home aquarium, Fish and plants are not the only things which can be found.

Artificial clam open and blowing bubbles into the water has become part of the aquarium houses over the years. With the increasing desire for the perfect oyster mimic sea floor into an additional common life for the saltwater aquarium. It is not common but not unheard of to produce the pearl oysters that will be offered in addition to home aquarium, however, generally they are less productive relationships that are permanent residents. Because mussels and oysters have more specific needs than many of the inhabitants of the aquarium home aquarium owners need to be sure that they are prepared to make adjustments before installing the oysters into the aquarium.

Oysters require a very "pure" water conditions; this is not the organism of choice for those who tend to be a little lazy to clean their tanks, such as oysters will not last long if the water they become filled with garbage. Fortunately, oysters are also filter the water, so that it can balance itself. They also have special dietary needs will not be filled with generic foods people eat to much salt water. They will need a special organic food specially designed for filter feeders that can be inserted with a pipette upstream of the shells. Each oyster will need to be fed individually, so unless an aquarium owners find themselves with a lot of time on their hands might be wise to keep their aquarium oyster populations to a minimum. These invertebrates also require nutritional supplementation with phytoplankton, some microscopic plankton floating in the water.

Some types of oysters have been shown to have a better chance of survival in captivity than others. Beginners would be wise to look into this breed to start with, move to a more delicate oysters as they become more comfortable with their needs. Common aquarium oysters oysters oysters spiked and barbed; strange names, but accurate for the beautiful creatures and unique.

Oysters are demanding but beautiful addition to any home aquarium, for more information on introducing oysters to consumers home aquarium should talk to retailers who sell them. Remember, no detail too small when trying to retrieve an organism from the natural environment and watch it grow.

A well set up saltwater aquarium tank is the dream of those who love the hobby. It can be an amazing and striking addition to your home or office and bring you hour of peaceful entertainment.

If you are a beginner, starting with a saltwater aquarium can be a risky business, so I would highly recommend getting the advice of a professional aquarium keeper before setting up your tank. It takes a lot of work and planning to set up the tank just right even before you can begin to introduce fish, corals, and anemones to your new saltwater aquarium.

You will need to monitor the water parameters (temperature, nitrates, ammonia, etc) and some of the aquarium equipment on your saltwater setup. Once a week, or at least once a month, you will need to perform aquarium maintenance on your fish tank, especially water changes and water quality testing. The water in such an aquarium needs to be at the perfect temperature, be at the optimum pH, and have the exact salt content before it is safe for living beings. Salt water fish and other life forms are quite expensive, so it would be wise to have the tank properly set up before you end up with a tank full of sick or dying fish at a high cost.

There are different marine salt mixes in the market and they are all made slightly differently. Unless you're considering a reef tank, most of the commonly available mixes should serve you fine. You will develop your own salt mix preference after you've worked with them for a while.
Prepare and mix your salt water in a special bucket and once you have the perfect mixture you can add the saltwater to your tank. You will have to repeat this process until you have filled the aquarium. If it's a large tank you can mix the salt in the tank, which can be a bit more difficult and messy.

The lighting on the saltwater aquarium is very important. You need light in the aquarium for at least half a day. Plants and livestock need a perfect cycle of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
A well decorated salt water aquarium will be an asset for years to come, so it's worth it to spend time and energy looking for the right décor and ornaments for the tank. There are many types of decorations for a saltwater aquarium. Driftwood and sand look simply beautiful and are essential elements of saltwater fish natural habitat.

You can opt for real or plastic plants. However, live plants help you bring Nature into your home. Live plants oxygenate the water in the tank. Keep in mind that your fish will use the decorations you place in the tank as shelter and as playgrounds. So, for the benefit of the fish and to maintain the natural beauty of the aquarium, I would advise to use real aquatic plants.

Live rock is great for your saltwater aquarium. It helps formulate the aquarium's ecosystem, vital to aquatic life. Live rock is covered with micro and macro organisms which filter the waste products from the water, making it safe for your aquatic inhabitants.

Some saltwater aficionados keep only living corals and anemones in their tanks. This can be colorful and entertaining, at a more relaxed pace. You could keep fish in these tanks, but be aware that some fish view coral and anemones as food. Shrimps, crabs and snails will also eat any anemones you may have.

Anemones look like plants, but they are living creatures that need to be fed, and feeding them by hand can be a lot of fun. You place the food on top of the anemones tentacles and watch them curl themselves around the food and draw it into their mouths.

Before you bring in the inhabitants of your tank, choose the type of fish that you want. The type of fish will also decide the type of plants you use. You also need to research how the type of fish you are interested in will get along with other types of fish. Remember that the dynamics of a saltwater aquarium will be very similar to that in a real coral reef. Don't mix pray and predators. Do your homework.

Some types of saltwater fish are poisonous, like Lion Fish. They are beautiful to look at and it's an awesome addition to your tank, but the spines on their fins are very toxic if you get stung. You need to get medical help if this ever happens.

Deciding to have a saltwater aquarium is a lot of work. Keeping your fish and plants healthy will require a commitment on your part and it will be a considerable investment. But if you want to invite Mother Nature into your home environment, there is no better choice. You will enjoy this hobby for years to come.
What You Need to Know About the Water in Your Fish Tank
By J W Chase

Introduction
So you are getting a tropical freshwater fish aquarium. There is much to learn about keeping a successful aquarium. The most important thing to learn is keeping your freshwater aquarium water at just the right specifications for the fish you purchase.

Background
When I was growing up in the 1950s, my mother kept a single Koi fish in a small fish tank, about three gallons in size. In those days she did not add special chemicals to her fish tank to ensure the environment was right for her fish.
My mother would change the water in the tank once a week. She prepared for the changing of the water by filling a cooking pot with three gallons of tap water and then let it set overnight to remove the chemicals in the tap water. That was all she did.
This Koi fish lived for ten years in under this condition. This is a pretty good life span living under these Spartan conditions.

Maintaining Water Today
Today there is a whole different way to maintain the water in an aquarium, which is totally different from the way my mother did it.
I have a 75-gallon aquarium that is much larger than my mother's three-gallon fish bowl. I still do what she did and I fill buckets every week with ten gallons of tap water each week and let it sit over-night. But I also add a conditioner to remove all chemicals from the water.
I must also measure for certain conditions in the water to keep the fish healthy and happy. I measure for:

pH - Most freshwater fish prefer a slightly acidic condition to a little above neutral, with a pH of 6.0 to 7.5. 7.0 is considered to be neutral and below that is considered acidic. In order to keep it in this range I add chemicals to increase or decrease pH.

Ammonia - This is bad for your freshwater fish if the concentration goes above 1 ppm. I like to keep mine at 0 ppm. Ammonia develops in your tank when you first establish your tank, if your filter fails or your bacteria die.

Nitrites - Anything above 20 ppm will endanger your fish. I also keep this at 0 ppm. Nitrites come from ammonia, so if you develop ammonia, you need to test for nitrites.

Nitrates - These should be kept at less than 50 ppm. Though not directly harmful to your fish, they do have negative effects on your fish. They also encourage the growth of algae.

When I first established my aquarium I measured for these conditions once a week until they reached equilibrium. I now measure once a week.
If any of these are out of specifications, except for pH, I replace up to 20% of the water. For pH I add a chemical to increase or decrease the pH.
by Jack

There are some peculiar varieties of fish which needs particular conditions for their existence. Black molly is a single of them.

Here are in my opinion top 8 aquarium fish species which might be recommended for starters. They will not cause you a lot of trouble in the event you present them with a simple degree of care and love.

He can be kept in water with temperature in between 64 - 73 F (18 - 25 C), your ph need to be neutral (7)

Harlequin Rasbora(Rasbora Hetoromorpha) Size: up to 1 inch (4.5 cm)

Black Molly is actually a brackish fish. Such form of fish can not sustain in either pure freshwater or in pure saltwater. They should be kept in a tank with water which has some salt.

You must make some on-line research and also consult your pet shop owner about just how much salt desires to be placed in the water.

Need to be kept in group ( preferably 10 or more), temperature 24-30 C, range of ph 5,5-7.

White cloud mountain minnow (Tanichthys albonubes) Size: about 3-4cm (1inch)
You do not want a heater to hold this fish, it can survive in water temperature of couple of degrees Celsius above zero. Recommended is 17-22 C ( 62-71 F).
Sumatra Barb (Puntius anchisporus) Size: 1.5 inch ( 6cm)
There are other species which can sustain in such partly salty water.

Besides this particular requirement, Black Molly is like any other average fish. Usually it resembles a black guppy fish. This is a live-bearer fish. So you have to have to provide a good deal of baby fish around the adults. If you hold a pair of a male as nicely as a female with no young ones around, they may well not be comfortable with the atmosphere and could develop anxiety which may well even outcome in their death.

Very active fish, need a substantial space to swim but the tank really should also be nicely planted
You must put the fish in a tank with the water capacity of 10 gallons or more. This is essential for taking care of their living environment. If you wish to keep a family of them inside the tank, which is recommended, you really should calculate the water capacity at two gallons per a single inch of fish. So if the family consists of 10 members, you could maintain them in a tank of 20-plus gallons.

Likes to school, shouldn't be together with fish that have extended fins.
You must install a lighting program to offer enough light for them. They will ordinarily call for 6 hours of light every day. Please don't keep the light for longer time.
This fish is peace-loving. So it's going to be happy to reside with other species comfortably. It won't chase or hurt other fish inside the tank. It does not have any territorial ambition, so it's going to swim about the tank happily with others with out any stress.
Neon Tetra (Hyphessobryconnesi), ornamental fish are included in the group's most interesting ornamental fish. His body was red brindle and blue evergreen body of the gills to its tail. Ornamental fish are easy to maintain, strong and not easy to get sick / die.

2. HOW to breeding.
How to breed this tetra fish species is still quite difficult and requires persistence and long experience. As for culturing the fish are in need of certain conditions among:

1. Water should be sterile and acidic (pH less than 6.4)
2. Excited at a dark place.
3. Ambient temperature of 20 ° C

How to distinguish males and females are as follows:

Males Females

The form is rather long and short round abdomen enlarged straight lines are fluorescent lines are slightly curved

Way of breeding:

1. Separate moms neon tetra.
2. Rainwater is stored and aged up to + 2 weeks.
3. Places that used to spawn, the fish was first cleaned and washed with alum.
4. Enter the rain water into the spawning places.
5. Give the acid timber with water immersion.
6. Silenced 2 ~ 3 days.
7. Enter the plants or leaves to lay eggs the neon tetra.
8. Enter tetra parent who has been separated beforehand.
9. Cover the hole and give the place a little light in order to be able to see the movements of the fish.
10. If you see a male and female romp with each other, then the + 3 days later the eggs are seen attached to the leaves or roots that have been provided.
11.Move the parent and covered with black cloth so that no incoming light.
12. During the day + 3 neon tetra eggs are hatched.
13. Children can fish fed infusoria the bacterial decay on leaves of cabbage / cabbage was decomposed drop by drop.
14. After 2-3 weeks of the closing was to be opened again.
15. Then the children will look tetra fish.
In hot areas should this be done Tetra breed bathroom that weather was damp and cold.

I don't know about writing the correct name Manvis or Manfish and also known as 'Angel Fish' comes from the waters of the Amazon, South America. Manvis (Pterophyllum scalare) belonging to the family Cichlidae, has the morphological characteristics and habits as follows:

- Having a variety of colors and types of

- Flattened body shape, with a body like an arrow

- Belly fins and fin width stretches back toward the tail, so it appears as a dark-colored arc transparent

- In the chest there are two long fins that dangle down to the tail.

- Maintain and protect offspring.

- Characteristically omnivorus

- Classified as easily accept a variety of foods in various forms and sources

Some types of Manvis fish known and has been growing in Indonesia include: Diamond (Diamond), Imperial, and Black-White Marble.

Diamond (Diamond) shiny silver-gray to green. At the head of the top there is a yellow to brown-black color that ran up the back. Manfish Imperial has a silver base color, but his body decorated with four vertical black / dark brown. Manfish Marble has a mixture of black and white colors that make up the vertical line. While the Black-White manfish have black adorn the back half of his body, and white colors adorn the front half including the head.

Parent management Manvis fish

Manvis Fish can be used as the parent after reaching age 7 months with a length of ± 7.5 cm. To achieve optimal results, the parent should be well managed among others by such good feeding mosquito larvae, Tubifex worms, or Chironomous. Moreover, because the parent fish manfish very sensitive to the disease, then drug treatment should be given periodically Drugs commonly used include Oxytetracycline and salt.

Before breeding, parent manvis maintained mass (male and female) in advance in a large aquarium (100x60x60 cm 3 size). Once cooked eggs, the parent manfish will pair up and separate from other fish. Parent that these pairs can already be taken and breeding on spawning places.

Moreover, it can be done, namely by the parent pair manfish directly after learning of male and female parent. Male parent is characterized by a larger body size compared to the female parent. The head looks rather large male parent with the section between the mouth to the convex-shaped dorsal fin and body shape slimmer than the female fish. While the female parent is characterized by smaller body size and shape of his head is smaller with a larger belly / fat and looks somewhat prominent.

Breeding technique Manvis fish

Breeding conducted in an aquarium measuring 60x50x40 cm 3 with water height ± 30 cm. Into the aquarium of aeration to supply oxygen.

Manvis Fish will attach their eggs on the smooth substrates, such as pieces of PVC pipe that has been prepared / are placed in the aquarium spawning. Since the fish tend to like the atmosphere manfish a dark and quiet, the aquarium can be affixed to the wall paper or dark plastic.

Manfish parent will spawn at night. Female parent put her eggs on the substrate and followed by male fish which squirts his sperm in all egg, so that the eggs are fertilized. The number of eggs produced per parent ranged between 500-1000 eggs. During the spawning period, the parent still be fed Tubifex worms, Chironomous or Daphnia.

Hatching Eggs and Larvae Maintenance Manvis fish

Eggs are attached to the substrate was then moved to the aquarium penmetasan eggs (measuring 60x50x40 cm 3) for hatching. At hatching medium water should be added an antifungal drug, among others methyline Blue with a dose of 1 ppm. To maintain a stable temperature, then into the egg hatching medium used water heater (water heater) is installed at a temperature 27-28oC.

Manfish eggs will hatch after 2-3 days, with the degree of hatching eggs ranged 70-90%. Furthermore paralon place attachment removed eggs and larvae taken care of up to ± 2 weeks old.

Feed given during maintenance of the larval form of natural food in accordance with the larval mouth opening and has a high protein content, among others, nauplii of Artemia sp. The feed is given 2 times a day (morning and afternoon) to ± 10-day-old larvae and followed by dosing with Tubifex worms.

Nursery and Enlargement Manvis fish

After the age ± 2 weeks, the seed can be thinned to nursery until the fish is then performed at a month old.

The next step is to harvest the seed is to be moved into the tub / container enlargement. In this case can be used like a fiber or cement tanks, depending on the available container. During the period of enlargement, aligned to be no flow of water into the container, although slightly enlarged. For rearing fish density is about 100 ekor/m2 manfish. Given feed or pellets of Tubifex worms up to ± 2-month-old seedlings. The size ranges are achieved usually 3-5 cm. If feed and water quality support, survival rate during enlargement can reach 70-90%. Furthermore, seeds can manfish raised again until it reaches the size of the prospective parent or parent with a smaller density.

Diseases and Abatement Manvis fish

Manfish fish known to be quite sensitive to the disease, it is necessary for the good management by maintaining water quality and quantity of feed given. Several types of parasites that attack the seed / stem Manfish include: Trichodina sp., Chillodonella sp. and Epystilys sp. While the bacteria that infect the Aeromonas hydrophilla.

Several types of drugs that can be used to combat the disease attacks parasitek include: Formalin 25%, NaCl 500 ppm. As for the bacterial disease can be used Oxytetrachycline 50-10 ppm by immersion 24 hours.
Although these fish originated from South America, but has long been successfully cultivated in Indonesia. This fish is known for easy cultivation.

Morphological characteristics

Short and stout body shape, more arched back than the abdomen, both sides fish are equipped with such as bone plates arranged in two rows, having two pairs of whiskers located in the upper jaw and lower jaw and body size can reach 12 cm.

Corydoras fish can be cultivated in ponds that contain low oxygen in the water. Suitable environmental conditions for these fish species are: pH 6-8, temperature of 21.5-28 o C.

Infrastructure and Facilities for CORYDORAS fish

In the fish Corydoras necessary maintenance tools and equipment in the form of materials, namely:

a. Parent fish Corydoras female and male

b. Container maintenance include:

~ Bak maintenance of male and female parent mass, as well as a place of spawning, or the aquarium measuring 60x40x40 cm.

~ Bak larval rearing and seed mass

c. feed CORYDORAS fish

~ Feed the parent form or Chironomous tubifex worms and mosquito larvae.

~ Feeding larvae of artemia nauplii

~ Food for the enlargement of the fish Corydoras until ready for the market is tubifex worms

Maintenance of female CORYDORAS fish

Fish can be bred Corydoras start at least at the age of eight months. Food that is best given in the maintenance period the parent is feed a lot of chitin-containing substances such as mosquito larvae are good for egg development. Also because of Corydoras are 'bottom feeders' then the fish is more responsive to the kinds of foods such as tubifex worms or Chironomus.

The easiest way to distinguish the sexes is to look at body shape. Male fish has a body shape like a torpedo, a part of the back of the gills to tail tapering. The body is more slender and smaller than females, and male fish dorsal fins look more pointy. Body of female fish are larger in size compared to male fish, and the stomach contains an egg that looks rounded.

Spawning CORYDORAS fish

Spawning conducted en masse in cement tanks, fiber tub or aquarium with a ratio of the parent female: male l: 2 or 1:1. Replacement of water every day, to maintain water quality spawning media.

Corydoras have a type of laying by attaching egg to a substrate, namely: plate glass, pieces of plastic gutter (PVC), ceramic tiles or stone slabs.

Corydoras Fish partially take out the eggs, so that every day can be found substrate plastered egg. Each parent is able to produce 200-350 eggs. Furthermore, the substrate is mounted on the container was taken for hatching eggs hatched.

Hatching eggs CORYDORAS fish

Eggs are attached to the substrate subsequently incubated in the aquarium. The eggs will hatch in six days. During the hatching eggs, maintenance media was given anti-fungal drugs such as methylene blue 0.1 ppm. The degree of hatching eggs ranged 60-70%. Corydoras fish larvae maintained in the aquarium until the age of seven days with a nauplius feeding artemia.

Maintenance phase CORYDORAS fish

Maintenance performed on the container in the form of fiber glass or cement tanks up to a size S (Small = small) with density 20-30 tails / liter. During one month reached a size M (Medium = medium) by density 10-15/liter and ready to be marketed.

Subsequent maintenance is more directed to the procurement of prospective parent, because usually in sizes L (Large) market demand tends to decline. Density in the maintenance of size M to L size is 5 fish / liter.

Feed given during maintenance of the fish until ready to be marketed in the form of tubifex worms.

Fish Health Management CORYDORAS fish

Several types of parasites known to infect fish Corydoras are: Trichodina sp, Epistylis, Glossatella sp and Chillodonella sp. While the bacteria that attack is usually a secondary infection that occurs due to injuries due to handling, or attack the parasite that causes injury. Types of bacteria found were Aeromonas hydrophilla.

Treatment for parasitic disease is the use of formalin 25 ppm, 500 ppm of salt. As for bacterial diseases using Oxytetracycline 10 ppm by immersion.
Buy aquarium water test kit to monitor the aquarium nitrogen cycle (look at the aquarium equipment Fish Shop & Ornamental Fish Store). You can buy test kits to test for levels of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. You should also test the tap water if using tap water.

Do not place the aquarium near a window. Sunlight entering the aquarium will cause an explosion of green algae. Direct sunlight will also cause increased water temperatures in the aquarium.

Do not follow the rules 1inci fish per 1 gallon of water. A better rule is 1 inch of fish per 2-3 gallons of water.
Do deklorinasi tap water before being put into the aquarium.
Buy aquarium filters that have multiple cartridges, so you can replace one when it is dirty, look here ornamental fish ikah Shops Fish & Ornamental Fish Shop.

Do not rinse the filter with tap water use in the aquarium water that you have when replacing the water filter. Chlorine and kloramin in tap water will kill bacteria busting nitrite and nitrate in the filter.
This is because fish is able to evolve to be able to cope with these harmful chemicals.

Fish that is actually named Tomcod looks the same as usual cod, which vary only their smaller size. This strange fish live in the Hudson River and surrounding areas.

Hudson River since 1947 to 1976 have been exposed to toxic waste in the waste by the General Electric company. In the 1980's about 95 percent of the fish in the region were found to suffer from liver tumors.

But when scientists continue to investigate, they found a fish that is resistant to the toxic waste that the fish tomcod.

Tomcod fish can be resistant to the toxic waste because it has a specific gene. Technically not a mutan.Hanya tomcod fish they fish that can evolve with their environment so they are able to survive in comparison with other fish.

But although they managed to survive in this toxic river, tomcod fish have lost the ability to cope with natural disturbances such as decreased oxygen in the water or rising water temperatures. source : http://ogahnice.blogspot.com/

Search Result

Fish as well as humans can occur due to several factors causing stress fish, like this we will give some examples of the causes.

Everything beyond the necessary requirements or behavior of your fish will cause your fish stress, stress to your fish usually will affect fish health, reduce the life span and increase the likelihood of your fish have the disease.
Fish have a slime coat that their primary defense system against infection and stress is a major cause of deterioration of the mucus coat. Fish can adapt to different conditions a bit there and understand the environmental factors that contribute to stress will reduce the risk.
By maintaining a balanced environment that includes things like kamiparameter aquarium water as this will elimate stress.
So what causes stress for the fish?

Aquarium Mates:
The key word here is compatibility, so the last thing you want is to aggressively pursue the fish shy about fish, smaller fish with no hiding places will feel the stress when theres a big fish around
Some fish require a herd to feel secure where others may be happy in there own, so know your fish and you can ableto provide a better environment for them.

Aquarium Size:
Most fans of the new shoots will go out and buy fish a lot because they can suppress and at the time would be more popular saltwater aquariums them, about the rule of thumb is 1inch of fish per 2 gallons of water but remember the fish we will grow as well. Again notice the needs of individual fish before buying fish from the sea to avoid more trouble.

Aquarium Water Temperature:
Fluctuations in temperature should be moderate and controlled at all times. The optimum temperature for fish will vary from fish to fish, but it's too cold or hot will cause stress in fish. Keep in mind that the tank in direct sunlight will heat up during the day. The water temperature also may rise during the light period. It can be more concern with the tank is smaller than larger ones.
Aquarium Water changes can cause stress so it is important that you have the same temperature of water, and do not disturb the fish too much, too, because it is always better to change the water more or less frequently.

Water Parameters:
Poor water quality or toxic posioning is the most significant cause for stress. Most fish can survive in conditions of sub-optimal if it is not too far from their reach. But the sudden change in water chemistry will cause severe stress. Adjustment of aquarium pH, salinity, or water hardness should be done gradually. Ammonia and nitrite are very stressful and can be detrimental if high levels persist.
Nitrate, is not as dangerous as ammonia / nitrite contributes to stress at all levels.

Other factors:
Stress is also caused by a deficiency of oxygen levels (fish gasping), old fish food, and a balanced diet.
Fish is not good travelers and can cause a lot of stress so good care must be taken during the acclimatization process.

Symptoms of Stress:
hiding fish
fish do not eat or eat less than usual
fish floating on the surface or moving on the ground
wound healing is not
sick fish

Many factors must be considered but elimainating as much as possible will increase the resistance of your fish.
How to take care goldfish. Previously, Maybe this could be a little goldfish care Tips the new point will maintain ornamental fish.

The first search for an aquarium, adjust to the needs which the aquarium is placed, and of course budget too. I like that just to put in your own room just need an aquarium that is not too small but not large in size around LxWxH = 30x15x15 cm.

Second use of air bubbles. Desperate need of some ornamental fish and maybe some others do not. Because I think it took so I was looking for a cheap and certainly not noisy (being in the room) so as not to disturb our sleep.

Third separately or decorations or pedestal lighting, etc. as a complement to the beauty of the aquarium free aquarium at will depend budget we have.

The latter determines the ornamental fish what will we maintain. After moving from one seller of ornamental fish to other places either because it is in my place is only a little choice because that's all the kinds of fish so my choice finally fell to the goldfish. Although it is common and most widely preserved, but when I saw it was interesting and funny than the color and shape. So I decided to buy a pair of goldfish. Once everything is settled at last so suddenly had the desire to preserve fish and goldfish care precisely. Following the appearance of my goldfish.

Sorry if confidante mostly because maybe there was little sharing of tips Maintaining a goldfish that I had just done. Then after everything goes wrong I start browsing to find what is right How to take care goldfish let the fish die durable . From some references are almost all basically the same in How to Take Care goldfish and here also I would like to maybe try to be useful also for others.

How to take care goldfis.

1. goldfish need a bubble of air must then be available aquarium water pump (producer of aquarium air bubbles).
2. If using a variety of aquarium decorations or pedestal (sand or rocks) until the first wash completely clean and the water is turbid.
3. Give enough to eat 2x a day and not too much (depending on the amount of fish that are owned).
4. Drain water aquarium about two weeks (depending on how long the water dirty fast) who do not wear this for an aquarium filter disposal. If there are more budget could use a better filter.
5. At the time drain tank before being discharged to take advance of about one dipper (bucket) of water in the aquarium. Then take a goldfish using nets or nets (do not use your hands).
6. Place the fish in the aquarium water that has been taken in the bucket. Then clean the aquarium can be a cleaning brush or sponge.
7. If so, refill the aquarium with fresh water, then enter the goldfish along with remaining water in the bailer. This is to prevent stress and let the goldfish can quickly adapt again.
8. Repeat the above steps regularly and routinely.

Additional tips: If a power failure and water pump or air bubbles die one solution try reducing the water in an aquarium with so might be able to survive longer.
How to take care goldfish above I get from various sources are basically the same references and only a few may suit the needs of goldfish maintenance itself. How to take care of this goldfish I will try anything new because I also recently started keeping fish ornamental goldfish. If in fact after I practice How to take care of this goldfish none the less true and mistaken or there is a need to be added later on I will update again.
Note here: that the aquarium water will always evaporate and the only water that evaporates, not with salts. For that use fresh water (with the best conditions you can get), do not use salt water. If the sea water used to refill the water evaporates, then that would be obtained is the increasing salinity of water in the aquarium. If salinity through a certain number, some or even all types of fish could die. Use a hydrometer every time you refill your aquarium water.

Other treatments that need to be done is to periodically check aquarium water salinity. Usually along with the filling fresh water as mentioned above. Although the water that evaporates has been replaced with fresh water rather than mean levels of salinity can be fixed on the expected scale. Aquarium water salinity could tend to rise due to the feeding of ornamental fish (food always contains salt). Although this trend is classified as very slow, could be many months depending on the amount of food provided.

Cleaning the glass of moss covering it certainly is necessary so that we can always enjoy the beauty of our akuairum. Magnetic glass cleaners are best. It's just that if you use traditional lava sand (from the river) some kind of rock harder than glass may be contained in the sand. If the stone is attached to the magnet, then the glass will be scratched, even worse to cut (and solve)! Be careful!

Replace regular sea water. Although it looks just as 'sea water', but we sometimes do not think that the content in it can consist of anything. Some minerals like calcium and iodine are clearly needed for the growth and health of ornamental fish. And these minerals would have been consumed over time. Replacement of sea water every 3-4 months at 20-25% is recommended.

Lighting is not a matter of beauty alone. Adequate lighting and arranged in such a way that can mimic sunlight is necessary for the bio-rhythmic life in the aquarium. Moreover, if the aquarium is placed in the room that almost no sunlight. Some fish like-kind Keling hour kelingan have a very regular life, at night the fish of this type will be sleeping in the sand.

Finally, periodically clean the bowl container (collection cup) skimmer. Skimmer will not work if the bowl is filled with liquid manure that has been produced.

Caring for marine ornamental fish

Marine fish food can be in various forms: dry food / pellets, assorted seafood, and vegetables.

Pellets as processed foods humans have a very complete nutrition. Can dipasatikan that fish receiving the pellets will live healthier and longer in the aquarium because nutritional needs are met in full.

In contrast with seafood, any seafood species have specific nutritional content. Seafood should be given in a variety of and turns to satisfy the need for a complete nutrisis this. For example, shrimp, clams, fish, squid, and other sebaginya.

Vegetables only be given if there are fish-eating vegetables such as surgeonfish, Angelfish, Butterflyfish and Samadar some kind. Vegetables are often used are kale, lettuce, mustard greens, lettuce Clubs, and others.

How much food should be given? Food for marine fish should be given in sufficient doses or less, not more. Foods that are given too much will affect the quality of aquarium water. As an illustration, for example to 10-15 fish in the aquarium 150 liters, can be given as much as one teaspoon of pellets every day or every other day.

Feeding does not mean that all fish must obtain jatahnya every time food is given. Could have at one time a fish does not get food because the move less quickly than with other fish. But on the next occasion is usually the fish that 'more hungry' it will move more quickly to get food other than fish that are relatively 'more satisfied'.
Tips on Clownfish Care and Spawning

By Stephen J Broy

Clownfish are classified to the family Pomacentridae. The clownfish is among a group of species commonly referred to as damselfish. There are 28 recognized species of clownfish. Of those, 27 belong to the genus Amphiprion. Clownfish are native to both the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Their natural habitat includes the Great Barrier Reef and the Red Sea.
The color palette varies among clownfish depending on the species. They can be found in orange, reddish orange, maroon, yellow or black. Most species have the characteristic white bars with black trimming on their bodies for which they are named. These white and black stripes contrasting against the fish's body color make them look as if they are wearing a clown costume. Clownfish grow from 4-6 inches depending on the species. Their lifespan ranges from 3-6 years.
Clown fish are well known for the symbiotic mutualism they share with the sea anemone. The co-evolution of these two animals makes for one of the most interesting symbiotic relationships found in nature. Sea anemones are highly toxic to most marine life. This exotic creature paralyzes its prey with powerful neurotoxins. It then uses it tentacles to draw the prey into its gastrovascular cavity for digestion. This singular cavity functions as both a mouth and an anus. The digestive process results in semi-digested matter floating around the immediate vicinity of the anemone. Clownfish ingests this matter as a source of protein. They then excrete fecal matter which is an additional source of protein for the anemone.
Clownfish have a mucus membrane surrounding their bodies that acts as a natural barrier against the anemone's poisonous nematocysts. Scientific experimentation has resulted in the death of clownfishes exposed to these neurotoxins after being stripped of their protective mucus. This mucus allows the clownfish to seek shelter from predation within the protection of the anemone's tentacles. It is common for the clownfish to remain within 2-4 inches of its host for its entire lifetime. This symbiosis has lead to clownfish being commonly called an anemonefish.
Clownfish are hardy and docile creatures. They make an excellent choice for amateur aquarists. They are also the perfect addition to a marine reef tank. Maintaining sea anemones presents more of a challenge. Fortunately for the beginner, clownfish can be kept without their natural host animals present. Just make sure to provide them with adequate hiding places and avoid mixing them with more aggressive species and you will be fine. Once you become more experienced you can choose to add an anemone to your aquarium. Make sure to check for compatibility with your local fish store or online retailer. Individual species of clownfish are compatible with different sea anemones.
Despite their demean nature, clownfish will exhibit territorial behavior toward other clownfish, especially clownfish of the same species. It is best to keep a single clownfish or a pair.
Clownfish have been commercially bred in captivity. When purchasing any fish that can be bred in captivity you want to buy captive-born rather than a fish caught in the wild. You will have a happy, healthier fish that is much more likely to acclimate to its new surroundings. And tank bred fish are generally more disease resistant than their wild counterparts.
Clownfish are omnivorous. A clownfish raised without the presence of a sea anemone can be fed vitamin enriched brine shrimp, or zooplankton in combination with marine frozen foods formulated for omnivores.
Spawning Clownfish Unlike most hermaphroditic fish species clownfish are sequential hermaphrodites. All clownfish are born as males as opposed to protogyny hermaphrodites who are always born as females. If there are two clownfish in an aquarium together the larger more dominant of the two will transform into a female.
You will want to use a breeding tank if you are attempting to breed clownfish couple in captivity. Place a piece of pvc pipe in the bottom of your aquarium floor to be used as a breeding chamber. Eggs will be deposited either on the bottom of the pipe or on the surface of a flat rock near by. The fry will hatch 6-10 days later.
Newly hatched fry are very small. They should be fed rotifers until they mature. Once they get a little larger they can be fed newly hatched brine shrimp or powdered dry food.
The hottest new trend in saltwater aquarium ownership is pet jellyfish. Jellyfish can't be kept in a traditional saltwater tank setup. They need a specially designed Jellyfish Aquarium Fish Tank to remain alive and healthy. Jellyfish tanks don't require the constant upkeep normally associated with saltwater aquariums. Moon Jellies are the most popular jellyfish for home aquariums because of their exotic beauty and ease of care. Find out more about Moon Jellyfish and other Pet Jellies. Jellyfish are among the most interesting creatures in the aquatic kingdom.

Oscar fish (Astronatus Ocellatus) is a species of freshwater fish from the river Amazon, Panama, Paraguay and the Rio-Negro-Tio South America, and are distributed throughout the world. These fish can already be developed in Indonesia.

Oscar fish have interesting shapes and colors. Blackish body color with reddish yellow batik motif. This fish requires special treatment in pengembangbiakannya way, so it is difficult to be cultivated.

BREEDING

Selection of Parent

1) Parent that is suitable for the breeding should have 1.5 to 2 years old, with body length reaching 15 cm and 10cm high, and brightly colored.

2) Parent selection can be started at the age of juvenile fish (5-6 months) by mixing 5 males and 5 females. This oscar fish will find their own partners. After each pair, then separate in the tub itself to be a parent.

Differences in male and female

Male Parent

Female Parent

- Body relatively longer

- Parent who has done his stomach looks bloated

- Genital more prominent

- Larger hole sex

SPAWNING / BREEDING METHOD

1. Like a marriage can be made of cement a 1.5 x 1 x 0.5 m3, then filled with water that has been deposited for 12-24 hours with a height of 30-40 cm. If the marriage tub area, sealing can be done.

2. A pair of oscar parent who has entered a mature egg for spawning each tub.

3. At each given a flat stone bathtub, preferably dark, and the top of the vessel is closed to the atmosphere seemed dim.

4. These fish usually spawn in the afternoon and evening immediately fertilized by the males.

5. Eggs that are above the flat rock after fertilization, can be lifted to be moved into the aquarium for hatching. Aquariums are used should be sized 70 x 40 x 40 cm3 and a height of 10 cm filled with water to eggs that come from the parent pair.

6. The aquarium is supplied air bubbles (aeration) with the weak force.

7. After three days usually begin to hatch eggs. Water should be given a mixture of liquid methylene blue to prevent fungus covered eggs.

MAINTENANCE OF SEED

These fish until the age of four days should not be fed, because they still consume the egg yolks. Feeding during this period will only pollute the water and can cause disease.

On day five, the seeds can be fed rotifers or tiny shrimp. Feeding should be quite frequent as the cannibalistic nature of these fish (prey on each other).

On day ten seed was given to water fleas that have been filtered.

When she was 2 weeks, the seeds begin without filtered water was given lice da hair started to try to speed up the worm given magnification.

Seeds can be moved to a larger tub after the age of 25 days.

ENLARGEMENT

Enlargement can be done after the seed was 25 days.

Seeds that can be generated from one-time hatching approximately 1000-3000 birds.

Bak used should be a 2 x 1 x 1 m3 and filled with water as high as 20-25 cm.

For the first time enlargement, seed can be spread around 300 fish.

To reduce the heat of the sun during the day, in a bath of water given plants like water hyacinth and hidrilla verticillata. To prevent the entry of too much rain, the pool can be closed zinc with plastic.

Food can be given the hair worm.

After the fish aged 5-6 months, then be selected as a parent. Food provided was replaced with shrimp or shrimp rebon time surviving.

Parent pair can produce 1000 to 4000 eggs once spawning.
CLOSING

To produce a beautiful color on oscar fish, feeding should contain calcium (chitine) which starts from childhood, such as water fleas, rotifers, hair worms, Artemia, shrimp or shrimp rebon times.

Good luck. (RAD)
African Butterfly Fish (Pantodon buchholzi) These fish are small with a body length not exceeding 13 cm and has a fairly wide pectoral fins. is a unique fish found in the Congo river and the river Niger in West Africa. This pectoral fins look like wings of a butterfly when viewed from above. These fish have eyes and mouth are trained to hunt their prey at the water surface

The less attractive they are colored green with a slight brownish-gray color. African butterfly fish are tropical fish that can survive a temperature range of 23 - 300C and pH 6 to 7.5. Fins are transparent in color and sometimes there is a ring of dark and pale, while the pectoral fins blackish with white edges. Black pattern also extends from the top of the head through the eye to the upper jaw.

Because the African butterfly fish food are carnivores (insectivores ) and is a specialist hunter on his favorite surface is insects and small fish. Sometimes he also jumped out of the water to hunt their prey. In addition, the African butterfly fish are also able to breathe by taking air directly on the water surface.

Differences in male and female fish are located on the back edge of the fin anal, the male and the female generally convex shape of straight.
Breeding techniques is not easy but it has to be done in a tank scale. Water conditions for breeding should be slightly acidic with a pH 6 to 6.5 and a temperature of 77 - 780F. Initially males will chase females among the water plants and then the male will clamp the female in the fins.
Egg-laying process will occur within a few days by the number of eggs 100 grains per day. The eggs will float on the surface of the water, because fish is not the kind of parent guards the eggs should be separated into another tank. The eggs will hatch after 3-4 days, the seedlings were raised because the fish is difficult to require a very small live food.
Microworm not be used as a food fish newly hatched chicks, puppies are usually very small shrimp that can be used as an alternative. Fish seedlings are very sensitive to changes in water quality so that these things need to be controlled. reference [ZA fish action]

Tips for Choosing the Best Fish for a Freshwater Aquarium
Tips for Choosing the Best Fish for a Freshwater Aquarium

By J W Chase

Introduction
When choosing fish for your freshwater aquarium you need to take your time and choose the right type for you and your aquarium. Do your homework because you need to keep your aquarium peaceful. If you choose the wrong ones, you will not have a peaceful aquarium.
If your new to keeping freshwater fish, then you may not know this but you need to select the ones that are compatible with each other and occupy different parts of your aquarium. Plus you need to ensure they do not outgrow your aquarium.
Personalities
For freshwater fish there are three distinct personality types. When selecting fish for your aquarium, you should select fish that have the same personalities or you will have social issues in your tank.
The different personalities are:

Community- These fish are rather peaceful fish and are not aggressive toward other fish. Their diet is not special and is good for people just starting out with establishing their first aquarium.

Semi-Aggressive - These fish are more aggressive than community fish and will tend to nip at the fins of smaller fish. My 75-gallon freshwater aquarium is made up of semi-aggressive fish such as Kissing Gourami, Blue Gourami and schooling Tiger Barb. Semi-aggressive fish are compatible with each other.

Aggressive or Non-Community - These fish should not be mixed with other fish of different species and should either be kept alone or with fish of their own size and species. These fish are very territorial.

If you have questions about the personality of a particular fish, ask your local pet store. Your pet store should have the freshwater fish separated by personality type.
Separation
If you have a large tank like mine, 75-gallons, you will want to select fish that tend to stay at different levels of the aquarium. For example, I have two Plecostomus that spend most of their time at the bottom of the tank eating algae and fish flakes that fall to the bottom.
I also have seven Tiger Barb that school around the middle of the tank. The Gourami I have will spend their time in the middle and will go to the top of the tank periodically to grab a breath of air.
Size
Keep in mind too that you need to factor in fish size for your aquarium. As a rule of thumb consider one inch of adult fish for every gallon of water in your aquarium.
Choosing a Freshwater Aquarium Filter

By Robert Hedley

Whatever kind of fish tank or fish you have, a freshwater aquarium filter is a must have. Fish, just like any other living thing, produce waste in the form of excrement and gases, and because a tank is such a limited environment, this waste accumulates. It will eventually kill off your fish if it's not removed. A fish tank filter is used to gather up this waste as it is produced. The water in your aquarium will always circulate through the filter and leave behind any waste that's in it.
The entire filtration process has 3 steps. There is mechanical filtration which will clean up floating debris. There is also biological filtration which ensures that there is biological balance in the tank by releasing good bacteria that convert ammonia waste into nitrites and then nitrates. Chemical filtration will remove dissolved waste from the water.
A freshwater aquarium filter will depend on the kind of tank that you have, and the kind of fish too. Some fish produce more waste than others and may need a more specialized freshwater aquarium filter. Choosing should not be such a problem if you know the different kinds of freshwater aquarium filters available.
1. Corner Filters: They sit in the corner and usually come stuck on the glass wall of the tank. They will be able to do all the three processes mentioned above. They however need frequent maintenance, although all you need to do is change the carbon filter.
2. Under-gravel Filters They are an excellent for those who are starting out in aquarium keeping. They use a combination of a filter and gravel mechanism to keep your aquarium clean. They are not so popular though because the gravel needs frequent vacuuming. This means that as you buy supplies, a gravel vacuum is a must. The gravel also captures air bubbles that can contain poisonous waste gases.
3. Sponge filters These are an excellent choice for a freshwater aquarium filter because of their expert biological filtration. Water will flow through them by a tube and then into a sponge that releases friendly bacteria. They however lack mechanical and chemical filtration, and if you choose them, you'll have to install along with the other 2 different filters. It's an excellent way to go for bare-bottomed tanks and those that hold young fish -because they require frequent water changes, young fish tend to thrive.
4. Power Filter This is by far the commonest freshwater aquarium filter. Its maintenance is easy, and it's preferred because it does all three filtration processes. There is one problem though, and it's in the way they are designed; the inlet to the filter is right next to the outlet for clean water, so that filtered water immediately gets in contact with unfiltered water. It may labor the filtration process, but the filters are made to cope quite well.
5. Canister Filter They are a bit more expensive, but also highly effective. They come as trays, each filtration process carried out by a different tray. The water will be pushed from the bottom up for some and others will have it the other way around. Make sure you know how each tray works so that you can place them correctly.
Those are 5 great options for a freshwater aquarium filter. Your choice should be based on the size of tank you keep and how often you think you can manage to clean. Remember that whichever kind of filter you get, its going to need cleaning and replacing at some point.
By Lee Dobbins

Nothing can match the beauty of well-maintained fish aquariums. Setting up a freshwater aquarium can be fairly easy when you follow the correct steps for doing so. If you would like to have an aquarium in your home or office, you can start by thinking of the kind of fish you would like to have.
Selecting the fish you want will determine a few things about the tank you choose. One is the size and another is the type of plants you may want to add. Many beginners choose to use fake plants to avoid trying to care live plants while mastering the care of fish and aquariums first. Some fish only grow to be a couple of inches long while others can grow to be as large as your hand. Make sure you know how big the fish will get when choosing tank size.
Getting together all the items needed for set up is important. You do not want to get started and realize you have forgotten a vital item back at the pet shop. Making a list is best to avoid this happening. In addition to an aquarium, you will need gravel, a filter and replacement filter media, heater, thermometer, water test kit, and a pasta strainer for washing gravel before putting it into the tank.
Other important items needed include a special vacuum just for aquariums, fish food for the kind of fish you want, a small fish net, and a scrubber made for the walls of active aquariums. Keep in mind caring for aquariums and fish is a great responsibility. Water changes must be performed regularly and you will need to stay on top of any changes you see taking place with your fish and with the water for preventing disease or death.
Select an area in your home or office for placement of your tank. Be sure to choose a spot that is out of direct sunlight. Do not put the tank near drafty areas or too close to heat or air conditioning units. When buying your tank, make sure to get the right aquarium heater for the size of tank you are taking home. Maintaining a certain temperature is vital to a healthy environment for fish to thrive happily in. Place your thermometer away from the heater on the other side of the tank so you will get the correct readings.
Everything you choose to put into your tank will need to be washed in mild soap. Rinsing well is an important part of preventing chemicals from contaminating the water in the tank. Making sure you rinse away all soap residues to prevent this from happening. Wash gravel by putting it into a pasta strainer and turning it over and over under running water. Fake plants can be easily washed and rinsed in the kitchen sink as well.
Pour gravel into the aquarium you have wiped clean of dust and small debris. Some people rinse the tank out and wipe it dry with a lint free, clean cloth. This can be done depending on the size tank you select due to the weight involved in some larger versions. Be sure to never use soap of any kind inside your tank. Add gravel before placing plants or other decorations.
Place a small bowl or saucer plate in the middle of the gravel before pouring water into it. In this way, you avoid disturbing the placement of your gravel and other decorations from the force of the pouring water. Pour half way so you can arrange plants and decorations a final time before filling to the top about an inch from rim.
The cycling step of setting up your aquarium is vital for fish to thrive healthily. This process might take anywhere from two weeks to a couple of months. Cycling is a process that occurs naturally in water that allows balancing of nitrates, nitrites, ammonium, and ammonia. This is the time you will need to use your water test kit to measure for proper levels of each one. Ammonia and nitrate both are harmful to fish while ammonium and nitrates are beneficial. Follow specific testing instructions that come with your test kit for making sure tank water is completely safe for adding fish.
You might think about not using fish to start the cycling process when setting up a freshwater aquarium to prevent their death. Start your cycling by adding a few flakes of food to the tank each day. When the food begins to decompose, you will have the release of ammonia to start the process. Keep putting a little in each day until your test readings are perfect for safely adding fish.
Once you have your tank setup, one of the most important things is maintaining the eco system of your freshwater aquarium. You can find out more about that and get other tips on keeping healthy, vibrant fish at http://www.fish-tank-guide.com
