NECA Reveals Full Details And Pre-Order Information For Jason Takes Manhattan Figure

NECA has announced the release of a Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Jason Voorhees action figure, licensed through Friday the 13th: The Game (due to licensing arrangements with Jason Universe). This is part of their Ultimate line of 7-inch scale figures, highly detailed and articulated, capturing Jason's look from the 1989 film Jason Takes Manhattan (including rips/tears in his outfit and other movie-accurate details).

Revealed in mid-February 2026 ahead of Toy Fair, with prototypes shown.

Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes To Hell Figures Finally Arriving To NECA Ultimate Line!

Huge news for collectors of Jason figures as the long wait for the missing NECA figures from the Ultimate line is about to end and are about to be yours! Dread Central has revealed that the very first officially licensed figure from Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan is about to go into production! That's not all, as an all-new Jason Goes To Hell figure is also being released.

The figures will be sold as being part of Friday The 13th: The Game, but that is because of legal and licensing issues, but it is great that we will all finally get Jason from Manhattan. Prototypes of the figures (image renderings pictured below) will be on display this weekend at the New York Toy Fair with an assortment of weapons, so expect to see some live images of these great figures very soon!

Jason Voorhees Returns In NECA Ben Cooper Costume This February

Ben Cooper Costumes were iconic vintage Halloween costumes produced by Ben Cooper, Inc., a Brooklyn-based company that dominated the U.S. market from the 1940s to the 1980s.

These affordable outfits typically featured a thin vinyl smock or jumpsuit with a printed character design on the front, paired with a rigid plastic mask held by an elastic string. They licensed popular characters from Disney, superheroes (like Superman and Batman), TV shows, movies, and monsters, making Halloween more pop-culture-focused for kids.

NECA has been producing a number of action figures with kids wearing various retro Ben Cooper costumes and now they have dipped their toes into Crystal Lake and now we are getting a brand-new Ben Cooper inspired Jason Voorhees inspired figure.

The figure was a convention exclusive initially and has been highly sought after in the years since its release. We even held a contest to win the figure that year with a lot of great submissions. Youtooz Brings The New Jason Voorhees Operator To Vinyl Figure Form For Halloween

Youtooz is a Canadian company founded in 2019 by Austin Litman, Austin Long, and Mark Prokoudine, specializing in high-quality vinyl collectible figures. These caricatural figurines are licensed and feature internet personalities, memes, content creators, musicians, and popular IPs. This past August, Youtooz partnered with Jason Universe to produce the first Jason Voorhees figure activation and now to celebrate the character's inclusion in Call Of Duty: The Haunting, a new figure is going up for pre-order tomorrow on October 14th at 3pm EST.

A new operator has slashed their way into Youtooz as Jason slaughters his way to another vinyl figure! Standing at 4.3 inches tall with a terrifying machete raised up and at the ready to finish off his unlucky prey, globs of thick red blood ooze from the blade over his arm to fall into the viscera pooling around his feet and covering his boots. Wearing a dark grey hockey mask with hollow eye holes strapped over his scarred bald head, a tactical vest with shells and grenades on the front is fastened over a long sleeve green shirt as black fingerless gloves match the straps on his combat pants. Youtooz Partners With Jason Universe For New Jason Voorhees Collectible

The Jason Universe activations continue later this month as collectible company Youtooz just announced they are partnering with Horror Inc and Jason Universe on a new vinyl collectible. The new figure is a representation of the new Jason Voorhees design by Greg Nicotero and was recently featured in the short film Sweet Revenge.

First Live Images Of NECA Savini Jason Figure From SDCC

Two weeks ago it was announced that NECA would be releasing an action figure based on the Tom Savini Jason Voorhees design used for Friday The 13th: The Game. The playable character was only offered to backers of the Kickstarter campaign that was used to fund the production of the game in 2017.

We exclusively debuted the first look of the Savini Jason figure last week and today we have the first live images of the figure from San Diego Comic Con! Thanks to Toyark, who got early access to the NECA booth, you can see different angles of the new figure and accompanying trident weapon. There is no release date for the figure as of yet.

Friday the 13th: The Game is a 2017 asymmetrical survival horror game developed by IllFonic and published by Gun Media. It is based on the Friday the 13th franchise. The game was released on May 26, 2017, as a digital release and later released on October 13, 2017, as a physical release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version was released on August 13, 2019.

Friday the 13th: The Game pits up to seven players controlling Camp Crystal Lake counselors against one player controlling Jason Voorhees. It is a semi-open world game, with players able to explore it further.

NECA Teases Partnership With Jason Universe For Upcoming Line Of Collectibles

Jason Universe is a collaboration of rights holders that include Horror Inc. (Robert Barsamian) and Friday 13th LLC (Mark Toberoff and Victor Miller). The universe has big plans for the franchise this year which will celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the legacy of Jason Voorhees and Crystal Lake. Today, part of the celebration was teased as part of ongoing efforts, and it will excite fans.

NECA teased this morning that they are collaborating with Jason Universe on a new line of collectibles that will more than likely feature their new Jason design that was unveiled a few weeks ago and also the new Peacock show Crystal Lake. More will be revealed on this partnership in the near future!

“We strive to maintain Jason’s original essence, while continuing to move toward the future with a defined look and feel that takes Jason into his next chapter. We’re also working with both familiar and fresh franchise voices to strike that balance,” Horror, Inc. president Rob Barsamian said in a recent statement. “We gave Greg our new 13-hole mask and worked together on this full body look that embodies classic Jason. Mego Corp Unveils Jason Voorhees Figure At New York Toy Fair

The New York Toy Fair took place a few weekends ago and it used to be a celebratory annual event for Friday The 13th fans as numerous reveals would be made of various Jason Voorhees and franchise related toys and collectibles. As our readers are well aware, a long-standing rights litigation has ceased almost all licensing of Friday The 13th merchandise. As such, for the past several years, not much has been made available for fans to purchase in an official capacity. That seems to have changed ever so slightly as Mego Corp just revealed a new Jason Voorhees figure!

The new figure should be part of the Mego's new wave nine offering this year, so fans have that to look forward to in the near future. Looking at the photo from the Toy Fair below, the likeness of Jason is not specific to any of the Friday The 13th films but looks like it incorporates a few items of Jason's costume used throughout the franchise.

The packaging offers an interesting choice of imagery as both the promotional hockey mask from Friday The 13th 2009 is displayed as well as Jason from Friday The 13th Part VI. Look for the figure to be for sale soon at megofigures.com and other outlets.

There has been a few iterations of Jason Goes To Hell Halloween masks released over the years. I still own the mask that was released in 1995 that has the blue eyeball attached in the right eye hole of the hockey mask. It's a sturdy mask that is way oversized, but still holds up to this day. In the past ten years, a number of talented artists have created really excellent screen accurate masks and busts depicting Jason Voorhees from the film, but the cost for those items can be pretty high for an average collector. If you are looking to own a nice Halloween mask of Jason from the film, and not break the bank, Trick or Treat Studios will be offering an officially licensed mask once again this Halloween season.

Bloody Disgusting got the exclusive today about the mask, which can be seen below. There is no solid date or reveal of price as of yet, but we are sure that more information will be released sometime this Summer about how to purchase the mask. NECA Still On Hold For New Friday The 13th Projects

It has been nearly two years since NECA was last able to release a new figure or anything related to Friday The 13th. Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood was the last figure released in the Ultimate Edition line in fourth quarter of 2021, and fans and collectors are anxious to hopefully complete that line in the near future. Other readers have been asking about a re-release of the ultra popular accessory set that included the Camp Crystal Lake sign and other objects from the films.

NECA responded to an interested fan in late 2021 about that set and at least they are open to offering that again, once they are legally able to.

With our readers reaching out to us in email and social media about the status of the availability of future releases, we asked NECA about their plans and told us the following:

Like Nightmare on Elm Street, it’s still tied up in legal hell, unfortunately. We 100% plan on continuing the line once the ownership is settled in court!

With the streaming series project Crystal Lake approved and moving forward, and the possibility of a new film project on the horizon, we had hopes that merchandise licensing had been settled, but it seems that is still under review.
