Heartlake City Restaurant MOD

Filling out the top floor of this Italian dining spot I<3Holland creates a modification with space for more diners.

Hack-a-Heart Creations

Starting off with an Elves themed heart:

Blondwave created Whistling River for Aira and Naida ~ complete with customized seats
so they can sit and chat in their heart box!

"Park on a Heart" is the name LegoMyMamma gave to her creation with a small
scene to brighten a desk.

"Pool Party" is sure to evoke a relaxation vibe when looking at Kristel's creation
with Friends Andrea.

Got a sweet tooth? Kristel's "Liquorice Lovers" heart box is the cure -- even if the
satisfaction is only in visual brick form. You could certainly add real candies to this container.

For the opposite end of the hue spectrum, Kristel created "Pastel Power" for that
famous TLM2 character to practice disco moves!

The first Disney Princess featured is Mulan in "Spring Training" by LegoMyMamma
using hinges to show opening a heart box a different way.

Elsa of Frozen is referred to as "Ice Queen of Hearts" in this depiction of a
Throne and staff for her atop an icy heart shape by LegoMyMamma.

"Heart Hopping" A Bunnies in the Spring Garden Game by LegoMyMamma
incorporates an activity into a storage display heart box.

A Lavender Grand Piano Heart Box for Emma is dr_spock_888's version of hers,
complete with a built-in keyboard!

Adding to the Elves theme, yet on the evil side ... Kristel created a Bat Box for Noctura
and her batty pets to sleep.

Skating on thin ice? Or will LegoMyMamma's heart box hold up Anna and a furry visitor to the "Frozen" pond?

Did you guess who-hoo's heart box has a tree sprout up? Mia's, of course! LegoMyMamma's creation features a hinged lid.

We hope you've been entertained, inspired, and at least compelled to smile
during this display of hacked heart boxes!

Emma's Lunar New Year Party 2019

Lunar New Year celebration at Emma's House!
Friends visit Emma's House to learn about the Lunar New Year traditions of the Wishing Tree, and to see Emma's art poster of the "Year of the Pig" for 2019! Wishes are written on a ribbon type of paper, usually red or pink, and then hung in a tree by attaching string to a kumquat (small orange type fruit) and tossing it up into the branches.
~ Built by LegoMyMamma for the "Spirit of Chinese New Year 2019" events for The LEGO Group. The brief was to show it in a Friends setting :-)

Emma writes her wish for the Wishing Tree next to her art post of the "Year of the Pig" for 2019.

Emma's mom Charlotte is happy while her dad takes a photo of her creating her art poster for the party!

Chico is not sure what to make of this piggy!

Emma's bedroom renovated just in time for the 2019 CNY February 5th!

Friends meet Elves to fly high!

SisShuttle BFF is a blend of Heartlake Airlines and Elvendale's Airship service ... a very creative merging of themes by Moto.

Here you can see Heartlake City and Elvendale passengers happily lined up to board this aircraft!

In flight, it's quite an impressive --- nearly albatross size -- flying machine!

Friendly Train Station

A purple train station that could easily be in the center of Heartlake City built by

Anne-Marie and featured in a fan expo show.

A commuter train coordinates with the station, bus, and street-sweeper on the Friendly-colored
road of shops & homes. The row of modulars' color combinations complement each other well.

This one straight across from the station is composed of Turquoise and Dark Purple.

Then we see a Light Aqua, Magenta and Bright Light Orange House.

Others in the row:

Dark Pink, Bright Light Pink and Yellowish Green House

Dark Purple, Medium Lavender and Lavender House

Lavender and Lime House

Although not in the row, her more recent Dark Blue and Magenta House seems to evoke the

LEGO Creator line as it could exist in Heartlake City.

Antiquing with Friends | Castle adaptation

This adaptation called "Antiquing with Friends" was built by Barbara for BrickWorld 2016 during The LEGO Group's "Best Friends" building contest.
Some of the North American fan events that participated also gave attendees the suggestion to re-make an existing LEGO set of other themes into a "Friendsified" version.

Here is an image of the inspirational set: Medieval Market Village 10193 from the Castle line in 2009.

This year's Snow Resort sub-theme are probably the closest of the Friends sets which look as if they could be near a Market Village setting. Perhaps on the mountain-side of Heartlake City.

Friends Chess Pieces

SuzEaton imparted subtle cues of LEGO Friends sets into these Friends Chess Pieces.

They were part of her display at Brick Fair and opposite some Elves pieces.

Here is a close up of one, the King piece, imagined as Olivia's robot creation.

Riding School MOD

Friends sets are so completely detailed from the start, that sometimes all that's needed is a "tweak" or MOD (modification) to the original in order to make a new creation.

LegoOzp has done a nice job of using two sets with modifications to become one creation. It's a creation, yet still identifiable of the original sets -- Summer Riding Camp (#3185 from the Summer of 2012) and Sunshine Ranch (#41039 from January 2014). Built together within the landscape and activity of the base created to hold the structures, it gives us a glimpse of life in Heartlake City.
Another set, Emma's Horse Trailer (#3186, also from Summer 2012) fits in just right.

The creek along side the ranch and under the bridge really adds to the dimensions of this setting! Be inspired and enjoy many more angled views and close-ups in the Flickr set.

Winter Wonderland with Friends Animals

LEGO Friends animals have always been a special part of the theme, and this creation by Deborah Higdon illustrates just how friendly and expressive they are on display.

The classic winter snow-covered tree in a woodland setting surrounded by animals she built as bookends is a wonderful use for a peaceful scene.

MOC: The Horsemen Townsquare

Denil has created another intricately detailed scene with this MOC of Horsemen Town

Square -- whether it's fictional or really exists some where in the world,

it could easily be a part of Heartlake City.

Some of the buildings incorporate a bit of Friends sets' aspects blended into unique

designs -- while all flowing with the classic LEGO Friends style.

It's hard to decide which structure or scene on this huge creation is most appealing,

as each one has been tailored to a specific activity.

Ever wonder what it was like in the early days of Heartlake City?

Well, Matthew Hocker (-aka- Brickadier General) has built a recreation of an historical scene
for us to peruse and enjoy wonderful details!

Perhaps one of these is denizens is Evie, the founder of Heartlake City,

who discovered the spring that flows into what is now Heart Lake.
