Dior Men

FALL 2024 MENSWEAR.

It’s always challenging for me to me to judge menswear. I know what I like personally but when it comes to choosing from a look book or show the ability to pick a fave look is ambitious these days. I’m going to be honest with you, I found everything a bit too feminine, in general…not that it is a bad thing, it’s just not my thing. I appreciate the styling, execution and the live show. Enjoy.

RESORT 2025 MENSWEAR

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSZAQVM2wPc

“Wang’s press materials outline his new resort collection’s fundamentals as holiday dressing, subverted suiting, and velour tracksuits, but in palette, silhouette, and styling these clothes are all in fact club ready. Or maybe make that avatar ready?”- BY NICOLE PHELPS

In my opinion Alexander Wang is one of the greatest. Here are my favourites from this collection. I would wear these looks.

I often wonder how a designer considers a collection as, ‘resort’? I do not see myself wearing any of this on vacation or let alone at a resort. I agree that this merges into clubwear. I see myself wearing this out on the town with friends or even pick it apart and wear certain pieces with whatever I already have.

Menswear has always been so confusing to me. Most looks are simply just not wearable anymore. This is why womens fashion is more interesting to me because it simply makes sense.

This particular men’s collection is brilliant to me, because it is wearable. You just have to be creative and make it your own. Thanks for stopping by.

Bottega Veneta SPRING 2025 READY-TO-WEAR

“The concept this season was childhood. “I was interested in the idea of wow, the wonder you have as a kid when you try something—it’s almost like primal fashion, your first experience of fashion when you try your parents’ clothes,” he said. He showed too-big jackets and one-leg pants under asymmetrical wrap skirts, and pieces like a black tank dress and khaki and navy shirtdresses with built-in wrinkles like they’d been crushed at the bottom of a trunk waiting for a game of dress-up.”

BY NICOLE PHELPS

I really enjoyed this collection, especially the flannel looks. I really appreciated the attention to detail. The oversized shirt and collar with added pinched in waist…love. The menswear was also impressive. Some things I would actually wear and some I just simply appreciate. Very wearable and very fresh.

Don’t think I missed the bunny heels!

Very cute.

Today and only today

2024-09-30T15:46:00.000-07:00

I’m at a stage where I question everything. I no longer have the support system I used to have so I make most of my choices focusing on my mental health.

My life changed over the years. It’s confusing how we humans operate. I alway stood by the golden rule of protecting yourself, especially since I have been physically abused twice since Covid. I am secretly scared all the time, and now, I react if someone crosses my happy trajectory.

I KNOW I have to take a few breaths before reacting so I will do my best to ‘react’ effectively. Sometime “they’ are NOT always right, so stick to your heart…your soul.

Unfortunately we are trained to ALWAYS live the life of a world of happiness. All we want for our children is to be happy when that is not what life is about.

You will be challenged.

You will be disappointed.

You will question whether or not you want to continue.

It’s time to use the skills I have been taught by my therapists and psychiatrists.

Move forward do what you are supposed to do. The moment you question something KNOW that, that is a red flag. Attend to it and put it aside, remember this situation and mark it down… cover your tracks.

In my personal life there is a lot of loss.

I choose to no longer give that any more energy unless I am protecting my Mom. That’s all. I live to protect and often save my Mom.

I often wonder if this will ever come to a comfortable place where I only have to worry about my own problems, if any…always something for me. I am hard on myself. If I am interrupting someone’s flow, I’m out. It’s ok.

Again I see EVERYTHING.

No problems just life in a very unaffordable city.

I honestly think I have to work for the rest of my life.

Did you know I haven’t had an actual vacation since 2019? Grateful for my short trip to Spokane for March madness but I mean actually hopping on a plane,go and rest in a friendly warm peaceful place. That is now a dream. ..I can’t even believe I’m saying this.

Can you believe that? it’s now a dream to travel, not an option or desire, this is why I ask those who choose to follow me to keep posting their travel images so I can see what is out there by people I admire and I can tell you, it’s beautiful.

So my point is…

Live. do what it takes to make life worth living. Always remember that your family does care even though…just believe. We all are hurting,

This weekend was long only because I had no plans. So much time to reflect.

I am grateful to know now who I really am NOW..know what I really want and what I seriously need.

Well, that’s all. Sometimes you just have to get it all out.

LOVE and always respect those around you even if it’s challenging and trust that something greater will happen.

Through all this I am still grateful. I have so much love from my friends who know me well and check on me frequently. It really helps! So thank you..

This is just today.

Thank you

Missoni SPRING 2025 READY-TO-WEAR~ vogue .com/BY TIZIANA CARDINI September 20, 2024/Neneh Cherry - I've Got You Under My Skin [HQ Original Video]

“Ruth Asawa, an American artist known for her modernist looped-wire organic sculptures, served as the inspiration for Grazioli’s tour de force of revitalizing the zigzag motif. He translated it into a multitude of spiky 3D, triangular-shaped knitted forms that alternately undulated, protruded, or unfolded in accordion-pleated spirals or tremulous mille-feuilles on tubular tops, minidresses, and leggings, generating whirlwinds of kinetic energy.“ ~ BY TIZIANA CARDINI September 20, 2024

Chanel SPRING 2024 READY-TO-WEAR ~ BY SARAH MOWER October 3, 2023

2024-08-05T16:19:00.000-07:00

Well, I guess I’m late. The Olympics have put a hold on my days here in, British Columbia. My “go-to”, is CHANEL so I had to see what I apparently missed. I’m hooked on the brilliant show that has now come to an end, sadly. #THANKYOUKOREA brilliant monsters, but the obsession of …#LIPFILLER! You will see the change of KOREN LIPS. Anyway, my little injection. …btw, PERFECTION they all look EXACTLY alike which is impossible. Everyone has different lips! Same colour as your privates BTW. LIPSTICK

So I picked my faves and I ask that you do the same. Merci.

“Viard’s Chanel is much more centered on her sense of a young woman’s lived experience than themed. This collection had a relaxed look from the start, all flat sandals, slouchy tweed caftans, bathing suits with caped faux beach-blanket cover-ups, and all kinds of elaborately elevated pajama-y things and denims to follow.”

The reason why I chose to focus on women’s fashion over men’s is because when it comes to menswear I take it personally so I choose what I would wear rather than what I think is constructed well, silhouettes and styling choices.

With that said I chose Prada Men’s Spring 25. I loved Prada the most when the brand seemed more minimal and cleverly basic with brilliant details. I feel a touch of this with this collection. I picked around 22 looks out of the 45 because …I took it personally.

This time I was more flexible as I know times have changed…even though I don’t believe it has to, but whatever. I wouldn’t necessarily wear most of these looks; I simply appreciated them.

The belt placement is obviously the way the pants are styled…not a fan but other than that, I like. Use the loops, as provided.

Reminds me of an old friend of mine. He’d turn this out!

Thanks for stopping by. Be nice.

…” That push-pull played out in the collection, which began with a parade of tailored, mostly neutral looks, all worn with straw gaucho hats and mirrored racing shades. Ghesquière said that the first and third exits were modeled on the sailor’s traditional vareuse—note their wide collars—but their broad shoulders and upside-down triangle shapes borrowed equally from the 1980s silhouettes of his youth. “It’s quite dressed up, there’s nothing casual about it,” he said. By the end, though, the strictness of his jupe tailleurs and coat dresses was replaced by the voluptuous drape of silk skirts and trousers, their chiaroscuro folds of silk nodding in the direction of the Spanish masters he referred to. The ultramarine of a one-sleeved bubble dress was particularly gorgeous.“….

Met Gala 2024 Red Carpet Looks shared by Vogue. Here are my favourites and this was challenging and I finally just settled with NOT complying to the dress code and just picked what looked beautiful to me. The looks that worked for those who did make the effort to refrain from looking a fool.

MY FAVOURITES

“ Last night, guests ascended the museum’s famed steps wearing outfits that gave a nod to the event’s “The Garden of Time” dress code, and you can see all of last night’s Met Gala 2024 looks right here. The night’s sartorial theme gets its name from a J.G. Ballard story about a count who—to stave off an angry mob nearing his castle—cuts a rose from his garden to slow down time until there are no flowers remaining. With the story’s dystopian undertones in tandem with the exhibit’s emphasis on old and new, we saw a red carpet filled with everything from florals to techno-inspired fashion—and even a Sleeping Beauty reference or two.” ~ vogue

HELLO!

Do you ever just sit at home and have no motivation to even go outside and grab a sandwich or something because you’re sooo hungry? I’m there. I had a long week of work and I pushed through the best way I possibly can. I have stopped working full-time for years by choice and settled with a simple part-time working life and part-time social life. These past few weeks have been challenging for my body. I am amazed at how your body just knows you so well, like its own personality. Mine is saying WTF are you doing…STOP! Lol. It’s just everything aches and I moderately work out only on the parts of my body that need some strength training for work! My goal is never to be a huge muscle man…not my thing.

I remember the days I wouldn’t go home from work until I threw in a workout because if I go home first, it won’t happen. Gone are those days and I choose to listen to my soul first and do what I feel works well for me so I can feel good about myself. I am no longer chasing the “ideal” body. I want to be healthy and with that the body will just bounce back. It always does.

Everyone’s ‘ideal’ is personal and we should all respect that as I do, very much. I post models and most are thin and very thin. I understand that it is part of their jobs and there is more inclusitivioty now and I appreciate that so much. Beauty is within.

I post beautiful people on all my social media outlets because I love fashion and I appreciate beauty, art, celebrities, dance and film. Like most people, you have celebrities or better yet, ‘regular’ people that you “follow” and this how I show the one’s that I like. They inspire me and make me want to do better, be it in the dental industry or the fashion industry. They allow me to still dream. I still want to be an actor again and am never giving up.

My account is all about sharing the people and artists that make me smile and laugh. Celebrities that make a difference, models that make me scream like a “Swiftie”…or just the simple, “wow”.

I’ve been a fan of fashion as long as I knew what the word was. I always wore what I wanted to wear as a kid, even though I got sent back into the house to change… a lot!

Anyway, just something random because honestly I’m actually bored.

…just being honest.

I am bored of my own words. Hahaha.

Have great weekend!

PRE-FALL 2024“After Sun’s hyperreal creatures’ entrances came a long series of florals, some on what looked like gently draped jersey, rendering them feminine and sporty at once, and others embroidered on utility vests and knee-grazing board shorts for a tougher vibe. A cropped zip-front shirt conjured memories of an iconic surf-themed collection, and patchwork shell jackets, motocross leathers, and baggy sarouel pants could’ve been winks at his back catalog as well.” ~ BY NICOLE PHELPS

The coats…phenomenal, and the yarn bombers I surprisingly appreciate. Menswear is huge these past seasons for me. It addresses xenophobia, applauds global equality and LGBTQ+ culture. That may be a stretch for some. but sadly there seems to be a lot of fear these days and it feels appropriate.

“Rich textures were another running theme, selected to enhance a sense of nestling and cocooning. They leaned too much on the diamond quilting, and, let’s face it, there are limits to how far you can get out of the house in the furry shoes that many of the models wore. In general, the styling could’ve been taken down a notch or two. The over-ornamentation tended to distract from the calm, nurturing vibe the Meiers were trying to achieve.” ~ BY NICOLE PHELPS

“A lot of it’s centered on discovering new proportions. “This,” she said “is the ‘elevator trouser.’ We’ve developed it so that it really makes your legs look super-long.” You saw the proof of what she meant on the runway: pants which are high waisted and low-crotched, and which pool in a wide flare over the foot. When styled together with a cropped leather mini biker-jacket, or a shearling or peacoat, it looked grown-up and modern.” ~ BY SARAH MOWER

I believe Victoria Beckham is a trend setter. Every collection she creates makes cool, cooler; sexy, sexier and chic…CHIC CHIC after all she is an original “Spice Girl”…that ‘poshy, Posh’.

“Jones name-checked the legacies of Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent in his notes, harkening back to fluid suitings created with decisive yet forgiving cuts that outlined the body and helped define elegance in the second half of the 20th century. In this collection, Jones also expanded on the couture fabrications he introduced for fall, where he referenced Monsieur Dior’s 1950 “Debussy” gown, by extrapolating the striped embroidery from the house’s 1952 “Pépite” dress and Saint Laurent’s floral embroidery of 1958 and applying them to alluring shirting.” ~ JOSÉ CRIALES-UNZUETA

I couldn’t find the show posted on Facebook, yet. Anyway, this collection is so on point for me I love everything as always however even though I do post my faves it doesn’t necessarily mean I would wear it like the shorts…wish I can but can’t do and I love them anyway.

This is so chic and sophisticating. The details and styling always makes the difference…and sometimes the model.
