How to Protect Your Adsense Account from Click Bombers

As I was browsing some adsense tips on the net, an article about "how his adsense account get banned" caught my attention. I read his story and asked if he honestly do some illegal activities on his adsense account and he said "no", and I believe him because he blogs about SEO. If you are blogging for that niche, I am pretty sure you are aware of Google Adsense policy. He said that his click has dramatically increased more than a 100% in the past days, and its because of click bombers, someone was probably sabotaging his adsense account.

What is click bombing?

Click bombing is simply having your adsense account too much click, it could double or triple depending on the malicious user who wants to sabotage your account. These people will usually click on the same ads for more than 10 times in just a minute. If you have a low traffic blog, getting your adsense account banned is easy for these click bombers.

This could happen to anyone, so we must pay attention to our adsense accounts and check for malicious activities or having too much click. To some, they suspect rivals or competitors are the one doing this kind of malicious activities. They want you to go down. As a website grow bigger and so is the rise of haters, spammers, and of course the terrorists of Google Adsense "the click bombers".

The truth is, I fear on this and I don't want it to happen to me or to you. But there are preventive measures to protect your adsense account from being sabotaged.

What to do if I suspect Click bombing?

If you happen to suspect someone is trying to do some click bombing the first thing you should do is contact Google immediately and fill up the invalid contact form. This will help them recognize your account is being maliciously being sabotaged and letting them know that you do not know where the illegal clicks came from.

Besides letting Google know, there are also other ways to prevent click bombing. Here are some:

Google Analytics. This is a very important tool for webmasters because you can trace where your visitors came from and what activity they are doing. Use this tool to find IP address of illegal clickers and ban them immediately.
Don't apply Adsense for low traffic blogs. This is one of the best way to avoid click bombers. High traffic sites usually makes a lot of money from adsense, that is why click bombers will not really affect their account because they are used to having tons of clicks. If your blog has low traffic yet it has tons of clicks it could easily get banned.
Use plugins for wordpress. One of the biggest advantage of word press is having tons of useful plugins and one of them is who sees ads plugin, use it to prevent someone from accessing your site. There maybe new and more updated version of this plugin, just search I am sure you can find one.
Be careful with 3rd party traffic. I have been using 3rd party traffic generation site before and it help a bit wit improving my traffic. But beware, malicious clickers sometimes lurks on these sites.
Don't tell anyone about your ads. I have read a story about a blogger who got banned because his sister wanted to help him make money from adsense, unaware his sister was actually "click bombing" and because of that he lost his account. It may be a sweet thing someone wanted and trying to help you make money but believe me, they could do much worse. The moral lesson here, don't tell anyone about your ads.

My Final thoughts

Despite measures to prevent this I still fear that one day Google might email me something about my Adsense account getting banned. If that happens I am quite sure click bombers are behind it.

Getting your adsense accounts banned could happen to anyone, that is why you need to fully understand Google's policies on adsense. And the most important thing is always be aware of your account and keep track of it so that if there is something wrong you can immediately fix it.

With this ad placement it could increase your Adsense earnings and make more money blogging. If you are having a low CTR on adsense, I suggest you try putting ads in the middle of your blogger post.

The instructions are easy, just follow the simple steps below:

1. Go to Blogger account

2. Template > edit HTML and open template editor

3. Look for the <data:post.body/> tag

Note: Some blogs who uses the "automatic read more" function could have more than two of these, I suggest you try them each and always back up your template before tweaking any template.

4. After looking for that tag, replace it with the code below.

One of the things I liked figuring out when it comes to blog design is make everything easy for my visitors to navigate and browse my blogs. So now I will share a simple yet cool trick for blogger, its about showing post title only on homepage for the blogger blogging platform.

This trick is really cool if you blog about more about writing and you use less image for your blog. I implemented this trick on this blog because I want to focus more on writing and not looking and creating images that will fit with my blog post.

Blogging is not free, it also has some expenses just like any business or hobby. Since blogging is a hobby to me yet it makes money. As a hobbyist I can't still consider myself as a "pro blogger", yet I admit I have skills and what it takes (probably, hehe). When kids were asked of what do they want when they grow up usually you will hear from them they liked being a Doctor, a Lawyer, an Astronaut or maybe the President of a country. These careers are a surefire to become successful in life. But times has changed, entering these kind of profession might be a successful move but the competition is really high and chances of becoming happy and rich has become lower.

If there are careers that is loosing on its demand, there are also new jobs that didn't exist 10 years ago. This may not be your "dream job" but a lot of people are shifting from their common job to the "new job" because of its high demand, and high income opportunity.

I have met some of the people who has jobs that are included on the list, and most of them (not all) quit their past careers and move to the new one.

I haven't dream of becoming any of these jobs, in fact I want to be a commercial plane pilot but sad to say going to aeronautics school is really expensive. So here are my lists of In demand careers that didn't exist 10 years ago with a short description .

On the old days there are no CSS that is why most websites decades ago are dull and grey, actually all of them suck, hehehe.

2. Adobe Photoshop

Learning Photoshop will not only help you create beautiful images but also open potentials to get hired by creating logos and banners.

You don't just reply with an "ok thanks for visiting" comment, you should try building a relationship with your readers by making them feel like they are part of your blog. Create a discussion, accept opinions and suggestions in that way you build your own community online.

Another way is to connect to other bloggers related to your topic. Try guest writing to other bloggers, it will benefit both of the owner and the guest blogger and it is one of the easiest way to gain more visitors.

Since I was a kid, we were taught by our parents to graduate college and look for a job. I didn't graduate, but I have a couple of jobs, and both of them did not work for me. To tell you honestly, I am not good dealing with bosses, because I don't like the idea of being pushed around, getting yelled at, and getting blamed on just about anything.

Since quitting a job, I have decided to become an entrepreneur, then joined direct selling. After learning the ethics of an entrepreneur, I finally enter online entrepreneurship.

Now that I am doing this, I don't know if I will ever get back on a regular job. I guess it depends on the success of my online career.

#1. I can go to work without my pants

In this business you don't need any formal attire. As long as you do your job consistently, you are good. At home I usually wear boxers while blogging, because its comfortable compared to office suits.

#2. No risk

Its because I invested on nothing, nothing is also lost. Compared to traditional business; online entrepreneurship doesn't need office space, hiring workers is optional, etc. In this business, a lot of stuff is free. But if you want to take it to the next level, you should spend on advertising and web hosting domains.

Compared to regular jobs, they require strict time management. One of the things we don't like is the hassle of going to work, the traffic, etc. An entrepreneur can go to work when he wants to. But this is not a lazy job. Successful entrepreneurs works 10-12 hours a day for almost 2 years without pay. Even you control your time, it doesn't mean you should slack a lot.

#12. Learn something new everyday.

In regular jobs, learning new everyday is not a requirement. As long as you have the skill to do your work, you are good. But in entrepreneurship, learning everyday is a must.

You need to be updated with the latest technology, business strategies and a lot more. Learning helps your brain function a lot more sharper.

Working in the office will not help you expand your network. In entrepreneurship, it is necessary to interact with different people, and potential customers to expand your business. Through connecting with other people, you learn to communicate and sales talk.

How to Boost Internet Speed without any Software

Internet speed is really important to me, because I do a lot of things with my computer. Having a very slow connection is really a pain in the butt, not only I use it for blogging but also in a lot of stuff like online games, and watching P videos.

So today I will share some cool trick that might add 20% of your Internet speed. The reason for that is Microsoft reserves 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes such as windows updating and interrogating your PC.

By unreserving the 20% bandwidth of your computer, you can increase its speed. The steps are as follows.

1. Click "start" on your taskbar > go to your search box and type "gpedit.msc" without the quotations.

2. Then go to local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > then go to Administrative Templates > Network > QoS Packet Scheduler. Click on QoS Packet Scheduler and find Limit Reservable Bandwidth and double click it.

3. After you open it, it will say it is not configured. Just select on enable and set reservable set from 20 to zero (0).

4. Click on "apply" and your Internet speed should boost up to 20%.

Mozilla is one of the most used Internet browser in the world and if you are currently using it, you should try boosting its speed using this trick.

Just follow the steps below

1. Open Mozilla

2. In the address bar type "about:config"

3. After entering the url a warning sign will appear. If you are not sure of what you are doing, don't proceed.

4. After proceeding you will see an image as shown on the image.

5. Then look for "network.http.pipelining" and double click it to change the value from "false" to "TRUE".

6. Look for this next "network.http.proxy.pipelining" and also double click it to change the value from "false" to "TRUE".

7. After changing the values, right-click anywhere on the screen, > click "New" > then "Integer". After that a box will appear, rename it to "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" without the quotation. Then another box will appear, just input the value zero (0).

8. Click OK, and restart Mozilla.

Do you have problem hiding or showing your widget on your blog? fear no more because today I will share to you blogging tricks on how to show and hide blogger widgets.

The importance of controlling your widgets is, there are plug ins that are meant to be shown only on homepages, or only on post pages. Through widget control. you create flexibility on your blog and balances each widget and maximize its functions.

In blogger platform, installing a widget usually uses the "HTML/layout" function on layout. In order to control widget display we just enclose some codes on the widget.

If you want to show and hide your widgets, just follow these simple tricks:

Since we use the "add gadget" on installing widgets, we need to search first where it is on your blog template.

How to control widget display

Before we proceed make sure you backed up your template in case you mess things up.

1. Log in to your dashboard.

2. Go to template> click edit HTML > and click on expand widget templates

Why Do Even Veteran Bloggers Quit Blogging

I have been blogging for 2 years and a loyal followers to a lot of blogging tutorial sites. And I have this favorite blog site that makes me comeback everyday, the main reason is, its tutorials are very easy to follow for a beginner like me. Then after about 6 months the blog I used to love is now officially inactive. If you check on its archive, its first post dated back 2008 so its an old blog site.

As I keep on learning and improving, I often visit that old blog and notice a lot of changes. Its thousands of followers are suddenly decreasing, no advertisers are interested on buying an ad space, yet it still remains an alexa rank of 40K.
Because of that I keep wondering why a high ranking blog like that suddenly become abandoned.
So now I will share to you guys some of the reasons even the most seasoned blogger suddenly quits blogging.

Lost Interest

At first you love doing it but there are times that boredom strikes and suddenly lost interest writing. Blogging does not only requires talent in writing, you need to learn how to promote on social networking sites, know how to design your blog, connecting with other people, and more... doing those routine everyday could be boring sometimes, especially if you are not really passionate about your blogs topic.
If its not the loss of interest its probably personal reasons and we don't know what it' s all about.

You forget what is life about without a computer

If you want to be an expert blogger you need to spend a lot of time on the internet learning, writing and promoting your blog. And because you spend a lot of time on the internet you suddenly forget your life out side the blogosphere.
when you socialize with them you felt left behind, because none of them talks your language. You feel its time to spend less on the computer and start doing some outdoor activities then you start loving it untill you didn't notice you already quit blogging.

The money

To some, money matters especially if you make blogging as a way to earn a living. But there are times when there is a bigger offer that makes us want to leave blogging even though we love doing it.
A friend of mine who inspired me to start blogging has quit due to financial reasons he is now a policeman
No matter how experienced you are to be a pro blogger they say you need to earn at least $500- above. If veteran bloggers can't make a descent living blogging, chances are they might quit.

They still don't know you

Even you have been blogging for a long time, some people can't still remember you. These readers remembers some of your articles but not your name. An author who doesn't being credited for his hard work felt worthless and has the tendency to quit.
Readers remembering your name makes you feel important and fuels you to write more great articles.

My advice

Don't do it all by yourself and have fun doing it with other people. Connections are the most important thing in blogging. Just like the saying "no man is an island" and it applies to blogging as well.
I don't believe that quality content leads to connection, for me its the other way around. Because I have seen blogs relies a lot on copy pasting but still gets tons of traffic, but if you notice, these sites they are linked to other big websites and I know that's where most of their traffic comes from.
Create first a strong connection with other experienced writers and collaborate with them, or hire them if you like.

These people are established and has a lot of outside connections that might help you boost traffic.
In other words, surround yourself with powerful people who can support you.
Besides the potential traffic they could generate to your blog, their writing style might influence you, then you learn how to create great contents for your blog.

Guest posting is one of the best way to build connection because it creates a bridge to an established blogger and to its readers. Do it! because you need it and they need it also. Guest posting gives benefits to both the guest and the blog owner.
So if you have good connection then the possibilities are endless, you could become famous at the same time earn a lot of money. And quitting won't be a problem.

Kung Hei Fat Choi! Since today is the celebration of the Annual Chinese New Year we will tackle some of the questions why Chinese are so good in business. In the Philippines almost 50% of all successful businesses are owned by the Tsinoys (Chinese Pinoys), in fact currently about 7 or 8 of the top richest man in the Philippines has Chinese blood, among them ranked number 1 is Henry Sy a former shoemaker turned billionaire and owns one of the biggest mall in Asia, SM.

I want to share some of the work ethics by the Chinese because I notice that a lot of Filipinos are not really good with entrepreneurship. I hope with this article I can inspire more Filipinos to be an entrepreneur and be successful in business.

Why are a lot of Chinese Business men from China, Taiwan, Macau and Hongkong, and all over the world are mostly successful?

I think the traditional Confucian values of self-discipline, hard work, frugality delayed self-gratification for the sake of long-term benefits are important factors in entrepreneurial success. Chinese are taught by parents to be independent and be persistent. At an early age, Chinese parents teaches its young siblings the importance of entrepreneurship over employment. They believe that having your own business is the key to a successful life, unlike Filipinos we are taught by our parents to have a good job not to have a business.

Can the Filipinos be a successful entrepreneur like the Chinese?

Of course, whatever race or color can be a successful entrepreneur. But I just want to end some of the negative traditional Filipino cultural habits influenced by the Spanish during the colonization period. These doesn't apply to all Filipino's but to some, this habits still exists and If you want to an entrepreneur, you should learn to end this bad cultural habit.

Here are some of them

Mañana Habit (mamaya na habit or do it tomorrow). This is one of the notorious habits we should eliminate. If you can do your work today, why do it tomorrow.
Filipino Time. Referred to as "always late". You can observe this when someone is planning a meeting or an activity, if they agreed on the time of the gathering expect someone is 30 min to 1 hour late. We have this mentality that whoever arrives first are too excited and sometimes get teased at, and you don't want to get noticed early, so everyone will be arriving late.
Fiesta Habit. In the Philippines we have a lot of celebrations and fiestas. And when a there is fiesta, expect a lot of foods, drinks, Lechon, and "bring home". Its not bad to celebrate a local fiesta, but the problem is, mostly who celebrates these occasions often borrows money just to celebrate, sometimes a whole week of nonstop fun. A catering service ranges from P10k - P30k. Based on statistics an average Filipino earns less than P10K a month, so spending almost 30k a day is not practical and bad for entrepreneurship.
One day millionaire. Not all, but I notice this on call center agents. They spend a lot on parties, bar hoping and just about anything that they desire. They spend like they have the highest paying job in the country. After all those one day millionaire spending, most agents are on survival mode for the next couple of weeks. Less money, no savings. So we should be careful on how we spend our earnings.

What are some of the practices of Chinese entrepreneurs?

One of the best Chinese business principle is the strategy of being content with low profit margins and aims for high sales volumes. This is not easy and requires tons of patience, perseverance and commitment. If you look down the history of big time companies like SM, Mang Inasal, Bench, most of these companies starts with low profits and instead they aim for high sales volumes.

What can we learn from Chinese entrepreneurs?

We should encourage frugality in the Philippines and promote a higher savings rate all through out the country. Americans and Spanish has influenced us with their free-spending "fiesta" and credit-card mentality, unlike traditional Chinese that value thrift and saving money. If we can save money, there is financial security in the future. Also too much debt, if you can't pay your debt don't do it. Remember do not spend more than you earn, this is a mentality that we should always keep in mind.

How to add automatic 'read more' on blogger/blogspot

In our previous post we have discussed how to fix a broken static page by removing automatic 'read more' features on blogger. And today I will share to you the opposite of my previous post, how to create post summaries on your blogger posts.

Some blogger templates does not have an automatic post summary feature so you have to insert 'jump break' on each of your articles. This trick is good if you don't want the hassle of putting jump break one by one.

So lets start shall we

How to add automatic 'read more' on blogspot

1. Go to your blogger template > edit HTML > click expand widget

2. Search for the </head> using CTRL+F.

3. Add the code below just before the </head> tag.

Remove Blogger/Blogspot Auto Read More

Most of my blogs has changed template for more than at least 5 times, the reason is I am having problems with blogger.com's flexibility so I keep looking and switching themes. When I found a great template I always encounter problems with its static page, if you click the page you will see it looks like a post but you can't see it as a whole page.

I have looked for tips on removing automatic jumpbreak but some of them doesn't work. And I keep on looking until I found this one that actually worked and I used it for my other blog which has problems with its static page.

Now I am going to share it to you guys. If you have the same problem with your template just follow the simple instructions below.

Steps on removing auto read more

1. Go to your blogger dashboard and click on template > edit HTML > click expand widgets

Find this code on the template:

5 Ugly Websites That Makes My Eyes Bleed

Even its already 2013, there are still a lot of ugly looking websites out there. Designed by a webmaster with no taste for beauty or even just plain simplicity. These blogs and websites is a sore to my eyes and I can't take look at them even for just a minute.

Factors that makes this websites horrible are

Poor Navigation
Colors that pierces your eyes
At first visit you can say "WTF!"
No concept. It is just online garbage
No clarity
Loading speed could turn your hair grey

Prepare your reading glasses some of this could hurt you a little and lets make fun of the 5 Ugly websites that makes my eyes bleed.

#5. YALE School of Art... Really? More like the School of Art Destruction!

I can't believe this is an official website of an Art School. If you look at its web design, its garbage. Although I can still read the letters, the navigation is really bad.

I may know only a little about art and for some people, this could be art. But its really ugly and has some elements that are useless. The colors are also blended badly.

And... whats with the cat with a cape? Does this suppose to be the websites banner?

I have read its "about me" page and it says, the website is continuously evolving and its content can edited by YALE Art School graduates. It is like an ongoing school project by college kids where you can screw it anytime you want.

#4. Do you feel depressed? Call the Suicide Hotline but don't visit their website

Depression is serious and dangerous, it could lead to suicide. And when you feel like killing yourself, go to your love ones, ask for comfort or advice. Then go to an expert to ease your depression, but never visit suicidehotlines.com, because it may add stress instead of helping you.

Check out the art work! It has crying girl drawn by a 3 year old and an old school telephone from the 80's.

Looking at this site is stressful, it makes me sleepy. Its designer must felt the same and maybe he is the one who really needs help.

#3. A Super bad website created to be... Ugly

Whoever designed this website is really good, and I mean good. Because he purposely created this to show the mistakes of most web designers. He intended to make it look bad so web designers could avoid them.

He did a good job creating all the bad elements of a website. This website is so bad that it gives me headaches. I recommend visiting this site for new web designers. Its educational, but I don't know if you can survive reading it for an hour.

#2. Jesus will punish these guys for creating him a horrible website!

Beware: viewing this site could cause motion sickness, headaches and epilepsy.

I had to put a warning sign on this one and I am not putting an image of it either. This site is so bad, not only it hurts my eyes it also gives me difficulty breathing.

If you can take viewing this site for 10 minutes, you are a tough guy, because viewing it is like torture. I only last 1.2 seconds visiting this site and immediately closes it.

#1. The Afterlife...

Beware: Visiting this site could cause seizures.

This is another religious website just like #2. It is a close match between the two but I say this is number 1. After looking at it I see no purpose but to give visitors a bad experience that makes you wanna say "wtf!?".

This is an abomination to websites. These are some of the factors why it sucked a lot.

Unlimited amount of GIF images
It keeps scrolling upward
No navigation
In the end there is a baby holding a guitar with a lot of cross on its sides which is creepy.
Too many to mention...

These are just few of the most horrible websites in the world, but they are indeed a sore to my eyes. I still don't get it why there are still a lot of people can't create a very simple website.
