[EVENT] Dermalogica Get Naked Launch

It was one of those days where I get awesome invites like this one. I've known that dermologica is a beauty product often used in SPAs (not necessarily owned by Dermologica) and beauty centers. Never thought that there's a whole wide range of them!

The launch took place at one of my favorite shopping spots, the Publika @ Solaris Dutamas!

The launch started at around 10:30am and every invitee were to register and get their face-mapping form. We had to go through all three stations to redeem a free gift.

The beauticians and people of Dermologica wore these awesome t-shirts.

After registering myself, I headed straight to the first station where my face and it's skin condition will be analyzed by an expert.

My face had a combination of dry and oily skin. The beautician ticked on suitable products for me on the face mapping form. Next station ---> the self done facial session!

I have to admit, my face after the cleansing, toning, moisturizing and sun-blocking actually felt more softer and supple like a baby's skin! Seriously! I kid you not!

The third session was taking a facial shot with a self-proclaimed confession written on a big white paper about myself. Hehe. Only after going all three sessions were we able to claim our free gifts.

And so..... the launch is starting!

Mr Ben of Fly.fm was the emcee for the event and presentation by Ms Charlotte Brockett, International Senior Training Specialist.

The event then proceeded with the reveal of the artists who joined the Celebrities Get Naked campaign.

Sadly though that there were actually no NAKED celebrities during the event. Only naked skin aka no make-up. Hehehe. We had lunch right after and took pictures with the celebrities on the stage.

[EVENT] Rouge in Love Bloggers Party by Lancome

Party?

When one hears of the word 'party', we'll think of balloons, games, endless flow of good food and drinks, and don't forget the memorable goody bags we get after.

But when I first arrived at the event with it's so enticing title "Bloggers Party", I must say this event was my first to.. ermm... let's put it politely.. not up to par to my expectations. Putting that aside, a blogpost is due and here it goes.

Lancome is having a SALE at the Concourse Level of KLCC until the 23rd of May 2012. You could go there now to try all the new lipsticks as demonstrated below. There are 27 lipsticks color shades in the newly launched Lancome’s Rouge In Love Collection with Emma Watson as it's ambassador. These lipsticks are divided into groups of 9 in 3 mini collections, where each lipstick with its own name are suited for three different moments in the day -

Jolis Matins for mid-day,
Boudoir Time for the afternoon and
Tonight Is My Night

Models were demonstrating the new line of lipsticks in the market.

Each of the bloggers were given ribbons to tie around their wrists for reasons I have yet to know.

And the endless flow of foods and refreshments? Only the below was found and thankfully tasty.

Before the party was officially started, bloggers took their time at the make-up tables to try out the new lipsticks. As seen below, an attendee demonstrates one of the darker pink shades.

There were aplenty of make-up to try on own face.

Each make-up settee had a make-up artist to guide you on which colors suit you the best. She did some simple make-over on one of the attendees to demonstrate the new lipsticks.

All a woman needs to look natural is maskara and lipstick

I was fascinated by the shades of pink found on the new lipstick collection. The collection varies from different shades of NUDE colors to shades of bright red colors. It is sure a bold color on any woman that wants to show sophistication and sexiness in a cute way.

[EVENT] Bridal Exhibition, Product and Venue Introduction at Zebra Square

I was invited to a bridal exhibition situated at Zebra Square, Off Jalan Pandan. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the exhibition itself is inside an igloo-like structure filled with air! And one that changes color for that! I've never seen such building before and finding out that it could be built in any open space was surely an innovation.

Before we go into "igloos", here's some of the bridal stages being displayed during the event.

A throne fit for the king. Or should I say lovebirds?

The concept of using huge, colorful flowers to decorate the backdrop gave the feeling of romance in the air. It gave a floral effect to the area despite the flowers being fake. Below is another floral themed bridal stage.

Also on display were masterpieces by a well-known photographer who had artists such as Malaysian singer, Siti Nurhaliza under his belt.

We did a walk-around, observing each bridal display in the igloo before we were called to hear some brief introductions.

The structure that we sat in has a massive self supporting roof span delivers a 20m diameter floor space that can cover events from gigs and parties, conferences and product launches. As its purpose that night, to launch a bridal exhibition.

And after that we were briefed on Zebra Square itself, the location in which Betadome were built upon. We later found out that Zebra Square also houses a fashion school named SCCA Fashion Academy under the Snips College of Creative Arts.

Two young lads who are in charge of ZebraSquare. Mr Syahrul Nizwan on the right as the CEO and founder of HGMS is spearheading Zebra Square.

A visit to the academy was in session as it was located just a few meters from Betadome. We were brought into the academy to see what facilities they had and also other services such as a Taska for kids and spaces for rent.

ZebraSquare plans to have a Ramadhan buffet operation this year and will open it to the public. In the meanwhile they have a small cafe just inside the premise.

They also have a hall, separate rooms for guests to rest or use to change attire and an open space with a fountain-like rockery covering one wall. It was indeed a convenient place to hold any event.

Overall, I enjoyed the company, the friendly hosts and especially the food. Nasi lemak was absolutely delicious! L’Oréal Paris is preparing to celebrate 15 years of partnership with the Cannes Festival in its role as Official Makeup Artist. Being the official makeup artist, L’Oréal Paris is bringing bold and glamorous inspiration to the looks on show on the red-carpet. This year the brand will be welcoming some 35 l’oréal paris ambassadors who will walk the red-carpet. Inspired by the make-up collection created especially for the Festival, "L’Or Electric", this edition of the festival is known as “cannes electric”.

[EVENT] Introducing Pure Beauty Collagen Drinks for Inner Beauty

Last Sunday, I was invited to a briefing on a new Beauty Product in town names PURE BEAUTY. It is a health tonic which you need to consume once a day (or perhaps twice if you want faster results) to have natural beautiful skin and also taking years off your face.

An eye-catching orange color specially chosen by the creator of this product.

The briefing was held in a leisurely way at Mz. Nina's Bakery Cafe situated in Solaris Dutamas in the Publika building. The event itself was organized by a dear friend of mine, the soon to be wed Ms Afra Yuri. I got to meet her sister and father during the event. =)

A special talk was given by a 47 year old manufacturer named Ms. Gen. She shared her experience in trying to mix different types of ingredients to make the perfect tonic to ensue beautiful skin. During her initial product trials, she used to put 'em in big jars and began consuming for her own self. In no time, people began noticing the change in her skin and were interested to buy it.

After selling quite a number of jars to close friends and relatives, she finally decided to make it a legitimate product.

[EVENT] Official Launch of CBK Motorsport

Located just a few meters from where I stay, I was fortunately to be invited to the official launch of this motorbike shop/workshop also known as Malaysia's First Kawasaki MX World Store. I know I've recently won the Travel Blog Award but it wouldn't be polite to not post an event you've been cordially invited to. Right?

The media, guest and VIPs arrives sometime at 10:30am. The location of the event and store caused quite a traffic jam near the junction off Sentul Link into Ipoh Street. I was fortunately to get a parking space right behind the police mobile van. Hehe.

The spanking new building for Kawasaki MX World Store!

I was told that they have just moved to this building from a smaller building just around the corner. You could easily get here by following the map below.

Having a big camera around, I took time observing the people around me whilst snapping pictures. Most of the attendees were Kawasaki enthusiasts. Can't say the same for myself but I'm an event attender enthusiast. Hehe.

When big motors are involved, so are hot babes!

Motorists came in numbers, showcasing their proud ownership of Kawasaki bikes. There were so many of them that their bikes alone would've made up a grand parade of Kawasaki bikes into town.

Vroom! Vroom!

Once everyone was seated and registered, the first person to take the floor was none other than the owner himself, Mr Chew Boon Keam of CBK Motor Sport.

Mr. Chew Boon Keam told how he rose from humble beginnings. An inspiring story.

And after his speech was Mr. Jeffrey Lim's speech on his involvement and undying support to this grand Kawasaki MX World Store launch. I met him before in previous kawasaki-related events as he is the GM if Kawasaki Motors.

After both men of importance spoke, it was now time for the launching ceremony which consists of cutting the ribbons.

Fireworks ensued once the ribbon were cut followed by a lion dance. We were than moved inside to witness the plaque signing ceremony and the exchange of token of appreciations between Mr Lim and Mr. Ah Loo.

With everyone in a joyous mood that the launch is done, we were then asked to watch a dangerous bike stunt held at the closure of the opposite road from the store.

And it sure was a heart stopping show!

Two motorists were involved and they both showcased their skills on the bikes beautifully without fault using motocross bikes.

This was my first time witnessing such stunts with my own eyes!

I can't imagine how many practice hours did they spend to make sure it was mistake-free. One minor mistake can be fatal. Thankfully the show ended with no-one in serious hurt. Hehe.

Since the store was officially launched, we, the bloggers, took the time exploring the five storey building and see what's inside.

If my memory serves me right, the second floor holds the bikes on sale and the fourth floor holds the storage for spare parts. It was a dandy bike shop with sufficient room for anything required of a Kawasaki enthusiast. And having a workshop so high in the building was a very unique endeavor. Overall the event was a success and congratulations to Mr Ah Loo for opening Malaysia's FIRST Kawasaki MX World Store!!!

And to immortalize the moment, a group photo with Mr Lim and Mr Ah Loo was taken.

I was assured by the organizers that I'd leave the event in awe. They were not kidding. =)

2 days, I just wanted to test it for texture and all. It felt a bit drying though.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY:

The price is quite cheap compared to other whitening products out there and it could be easily bought at any stores near you. Especially like Watson and Guardian.

MY THOUGHTS ON IT:

I don't like the smell, but it did lighten up my skin a bit. Will need more testing to see if there's any significant difference to my skin tone. I haven't fully test it since my previous whitening product is not finished yet. But I'm hopeful for this one.

Mega Sale at Jaya Jusco, Wangsa Maju

I went out today and headed to Jusco at Wangsa Maju. I was merely looking for some food to digest since I just finished my work and my stomach was making weird noises.

Eventually I was diverted by the many blouses on sale at the women's department at Jusco and thought to look around. I was aware that I had barely RM100 in my wallet after I refueled my car but the price was too hard to resist.

And alas I found myself trying all the blouses that caught my eye and ended buying a blouse and a matching long purple skirt. The prices were cut 50% from the original price and I was quite pleased with my purchase.

RM59.00, after less it only costs RM29.50.

And there were two other blouses that caught my eye but due to limited budget, I only bought these two only. A bit sad. Oh well.

Colored dark purple, RM99 and after less it only costs RM49.50

So readers please do head down to Jusco as I don't know when the Sale will be over. The discounts range between 20% up to 70% and I must say the clothes are beautiful!

Thankfully I only brought little money so I could prevent overspending my budget.

I was invited by Ng Connie to attend their New Eyeliner Product Launch from Maybelline at the Il Lido Italian Bar off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.

It was an exciting event and I met several of my blogger friends at the party.

You may find on labels on beauty products saying that they are non-comogendic which means it doesn't clog your pores or cause an outbreak of acne on your face. But some just don't tell you and it will be too late for you to do anything once the product is bought. I want to share you a list of ingredients that might be harmful to your skin by clogging your pores.
