I took down the Christmas decor and tree. The greenhouse is now standing where the tree was - in front of the window. It is amazing how in 24 hours - less than 24 hours - overnight, the seedlings grew and I mean grew!Check out the Luffa seeds on the left! Here they were just yesterday! I haven't had one for years and thought time to have one for minor scrapes and burns etc. I also was inspired by Martha Stuart when one of her holiday gifts was to take the offshoots from your aloe and transplant into smaller pots as gifts. It is nice and deep and I am now wondering what would be the best use of it. Flowers or Veggies? Flowers would look so lovely inside there, but on the other hand I want to have more veggies/fruits planted...do you think potatoes would do nicely in there? Or maybe strawberries? We had an ice storm and I suppose the weight of the ice just snapped the top of the tree. So I guess it back to the beginning and starting over. Things could be worse I guess during an ice storm...but it just makes me sad. WOW is all I can say! A beautiful garden center all decked out for the holidays. If you live anywhere within driving distance or are in the area, you have to check out Feeney's. They truly go to a lot of work to set it up for the holidays and there is something there for everyone. She made a polar fleece scarf that was so so so simple. You only need ONE yard to make 3 scarves. She said polar fleece is about $9/yd, so that comes to $3/scarf. It is simple, fun and inexpensive. Along with my crocheting projects, I found that taking dollar store votive candles and old wax from candles that I have like everywhere in my house, I can create new things for my house for less than $2. These 4 candles cost me 25 cents a piece. I only paid for the votives.
