In 2012...

I ran my first fun run,

Went to Boracay for the first time,

Had my first hosp outing,

Cloud celebrated his first birthday,

Finished reading some awesome booksss for the first time after ages,

Attended Weddings,

And so many other exciting stuffs happened..

But the 'incident' that happened these past few days definitely makes the cherry on top of my 2012 list.. Nevertheless 2012 is indeed my year just as i claimed it to be last year.. thank you for the persons who made my 2012 extra exciting, extra challenging, and extra especial..

DIY: Beaded Denim Shorts

Shopping is every girl's bestfriend. May it be high fashion, first class shopping or thrifty bazaar or tiangge shopping. It's stress reducing, mind relaxing and feel good feeling everytime we get a hold of something we knew that can make us look good and more than that, something that can boosts even a little of our confidence. But shopping for those girls who doesn't always have the resources is merely possible.

So what should a thrifty girl like me, should do? SOB? CRY? Well if you're an overly dramatic person well, that's should do. But if you're an optimistic person like me (excuse my french=)) you'll know that DIYs just around the corner.

Since my closet is overly crowded of old clothes that are not just unnecessary, but also unfashionably out of style. I decided to transform one of my old boring denim shorts into a chic beaded denim shorts.
It's not just simple and easy, if you know your resources it can also be surprisingly free!
All you need is:
Pearl Necklace you don't use

Old denim shorts

Needles and Thread(preferably the same color of your denim shorts or the pearl)

All you need to do is sew the pearl beads randomly onto different parts of the shorts depending on your choice and on how much beads you want to put onto your shorts.

And Voila! A new pair of denim shorts for no cost at all! How cool is that?

Try redesigning your old clothes and give them a fashionably new look!

Banson "Baby" No more

I've always wanted to have a home pet dog. So when Pappy (that's my term of endearment to my dad)brought home a dachshund dog two years ago, we were all so happy (well, all except for my mom=)). We called him "Banson". Banson is like a sixth member of our family. Pappy treats him more like his son than a dog. I saw how much Pappy loves and cares for him.

Although, we all like Banson to stay inside our house it's always been an argument because Mammy doesn't really like a dog or any pet for that matter. And since my sister got pregnant and it's a plan that she would stay here after giving birth, we have to make a decision. Banson will be staying out of the house.

In case you didn't heard my sister gave birth last week. And for that, we were all making preparations in case my sister and my nephew, CLOUD would be coming home and one of which of course was Banson's staying out of the house.

It's day three since Banson's apparent stay outside the house. So far, all he got was a wound on his foot which he got because he wasn't all used to walking on a rough cement and rashes all over his chest.

A while ago i was checking out on him and made an improvised bed on our doorstep for him. It was so heartbreaking seeing "our baby" Banson to be living outside. What broke my heart even more so is when i opened our door and he went inside our house. Usually when Pappy having him for a walk outside the house he usually sponge bath banson's feet and chest upon coming home. Well maybe Banson is missing how Pappy used to do that. You could just imagine how Banson's face looks like when he enters our house. He immediately laid down on the spot where his dog house were supposed to be and he ran on the kitchen where Pappy was sitting. And when i opened the door for him to get out. He was turning his back away from the door. ='(

Now, As i am writing this blog, I couldn't help myself from crying. I just miss Banson. I miss seeing him upon waking up in the morning upon going down the stairs and the first thing i would see when i open the door. The house would surely feels different without Banson around. And hopefully it would feel different again when Cloud arrives.

I personally don't have this philosophy of love at first sight nor believes in first impressions last. As a matter of fact, I've proven this two statements rather not applicable for me.

When i first watched an episode of Gossip Girl,a popular series about teenagers with unique and exquisite fashion sense, friendship, betrayal as well as sexual dilemmas not to mention of course the juicy GOSSIPS of the unknown identity of "GOSSIP GIRL".

True enough, I was able to prove this belief upon seeing Ed Wastwick aka Chuck Bass. His formal sense of style, his bad ass attitude and his overall appearance doesn't appeal to me at first. I'd rather like Chase Crawford aka Nate Archibald. But when his love-hate relatonship with Blair Waldorf began, I actually also started falling in ove with his character. But like Blair's feelings for chuck , im more on the inner side rather than his superficial feature. ;)

When i Heard about him coming to the Philippines to be an endorser for a certain clothing line, I really got excited and surprised. But when i heard of the news, Unfortunately, it was over a month ago pa pala. And i only realized that he visited the Philippines already because i saw one of his billboard along Edsa and in the malls. TSK! TSK! POOR ME. I'm so late when it comes to gossips and news. awwwww.

Anyway, I find him so cute and so hunky and classy in his Ads.

Mini Blog Update

My life has been going through serious UPS and DOWNS. My social life's dying and I myself might be dead pretty soon. I haven't been updating my blog due to my whirlwind duty schedule. Our unit was total chaos. From 8-10 patients during my first weeks to a roaring number of 24 patients including TOXIC relatives. I wasn't even eating during my past shifts and like the patients I am putting myself on an NPO (Nothing Per Orem) basis. I don't even have time to catch my breath. Eight hours wasn't enough to fit in all the task that i need to do. I'm just thankful that i have been adjusting to the numerous patient set-up. Thank God i wasn't screwing up - at least not that MUCH. ;)

I LOVE MY JOB. I LOVE MY JOB. I LOVE MY JOB. *whew*

Good for Nothing ME

I'm not good at anything.

I'm not good looking. I'm not a good person. I'm not a good writer, a dancer and a worst singer. I'm not a good friend, a good sister, a good daughter nor a good listener. I'm not good at modeling nor taking pictures, driving hates me and I'm screwing up at my work.

Just as when i thought everything was working out just fine. Problem just keeps on hunting me and keeps on pulling me down. It always make sure that it's keeping up on whatever i'm doing.

I'm trying. But i'm not giving my all, not even my good. Not even my best.

So much frustrations keeping me down. I don't know where i'm headed and not know where i wanted to go.

All i know is i'm STUCK. Not knowing what i want so i'm staying nowhere.

My life sucks. Because i'm making it hard for me. No one is to blame. I am what i am because subconsciously, it's what i am doing to myself.

MY Dearest Sister's Birthday at DAD's part 1

My card reader broke and so, I bought a new one. Thus, having this LATE post last June 12.

My sister Gladys' birthday is on the 13th of June, however it fell on a Monday so we celebrated a day earlier. It feels a little weird because we have to meet her at a certain place, unlike the past years where we would all just go at the same time. Oh well, that's for the fact that she's already married. It's just kind of sad because we didn't get to spend much time together due to the limited time that we have. =( But nevertheless, it's still another happy bonding moment.

This year, we spent Glad's birthday at Dad's Glorietta. It's sort of annoying because Glad and her husband came LATE as usual.

While walking way pass the breadtalk we saw this cutie little cake called Mango Furomaji. Ain't this cake cutie patootie!?

Glad's and Mike (her husband) were so late and so we took ths chance to have snapshot of the cutie cake.

Update, Adjustment and Skin Breakdown =(

So i've been promising to do another lippies review for quite some time now and all i do is to mum about promises! huhuhu... SORRY. My memory card reader broke down out of nowhere and As you all know, I've been spending my life practicing adjusting to my new hell which by the way is going well for the moment. It's turning actually really, really GOOD, surprisingly.;)

Anyhow. This past few days and weeks has got me so many things going on. First off is my life at the hospital. I can say, it's going pretty well. I am learning so many things and relearning everything i know. I am just so blessed that i am assigned at a unit where everyone else is going along so well. Their bonding is incomparable and my mentor, well, she's so GREAT! I got to learn a lot from her and she is so patient when teaching me about everything i need to know. I can't complain anything. =)

And because i am having a major adjustment in my career. My skin is having a MAJOR ADJUSTMENT too!.. ='( I'm having a lot of skin break-outs as of the moment. Been trying using benzoyl peroxide (panoxyl) for quite some time now, but as of the moment it's doing no good for my skin. ='( Could anyone suggest what other product could i use with immediate action? I badly need one ASAP! ='(

"Hello" From Duty and Lipstick Review Preview

Okay. So, I've been lost in the blog circulation lately because i am now spending my time upgrading my nursing career. It's been a while since i sort of spend some time having a duty. I must admit i'm having a culture shock right now and i'm still having difficulties absorbing how things should be done. AAAARRRGGGHHH!! Information OVERLOAD!

Anyway, since it's been ages since i have done a review, I think it's time for me to do another LIPSTICK REVIEW! YAY! You read it right! I will do another quick review of another lipstick that i have been using for quite some time now in a few days. So better watch out for it! First Day Funk

First Day. How will i even begin to explain my first day at the hospital. Like what Cady Heron said at the movie, Mean Girls, "The first day of duty was a blur. A stressful, surreal blur." I am lost. Completely LOST. I don't know what i'm saying. I don't know what i'm doing. I acted and looked like an awkward-looking-IDIOT. I just stand there awkwardly and staring at the nurses blankly. I feel so stupid and dumb. ='( I suddenly feel so small and realized that my years are so behind me. I feel so withdrawn because of my batch and my age and my hospital experience. I realized how much time i have wasted. Years that i should be growing personally and professionally. I wanted to blame someone else. But the blame is all on me. ='( I feel so insecure. I just hope that i will be able to prove myself and everybody else of my capabilities and skills. This is my last shot. If ever i fail on this, i don't know what else i'm gonna do. I just pray that God would help me go through this. ='(

Happy Days Once More =)

I'm soooo excited for Monday! It's like going back to school on a first day. I'm filled with different emotions. I'm thrilled, anxious, happy and most of all, excited! I get to go back to practice my profession and hopefully this time it's for good. Being a nurse is the thing i really wanted to do and at the same time it's the only profession i know i'll do good. And i thank God for letting me do what i do best.

Everything happened from slow motion to fast forward. And that said, i don't know if i could do everything in so little time. I have to buy and prepare stuffs i need for Monday. My uniform's not even made until Sunday afternoon. AARRRRGGHH!! And for that reason, I also have to cancel attending my friend's christening for her daughter. Well, it's just an excuse but yeah, you can also say that. hahaha.

Because of the little time i have. I have to list things that i need to do and i need to buy.

Well, i've been gone from a couple of days now. And it's only until this moment that i find time posting in my blog. Well, this post was kind of late since this was supposedly a blog entry for last Saturday. But oh well, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER... ;)

Every year, my family and i always make sure that we were able to go to Antipolo to hear mass every month of May. Having to commute, Rain or Shine, that doesn't stop us from visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage/Imaculate Conception Parish. It's our family vow. My mom said that all she had wish to Our Lady of Peace and Voyage came true. =)

This year, we made our visit last saturday, may 21. It's kinda sad because glad's wasn't able to join us because for 1) she's already married and 2) she's pregnant. Although it feels that we were incomplete, (you what they say) the show must go on.
Ofcourse since NIKKO's already with us, we didn't let this chance pass without having our kodakan session.

From Pit Stop going back to the RACE

The past four years has been the longest pit stop in my life. I've been going through more down moments than positive ones. And the more i tried to be happy the more i struggled to have a better life. My life has been undergoing it's dark phase.

I almost gave up trying until last Monday. I received a phone call from something i was hoping for from the past 4 years. And this morning, it was my time to redeem what has been withheld from me for so long. It was a make or break moment. And I asked God that if nursing isn't really for me, then just lead me to the right path. But this afternoon, God lead me to the path he wanted me to take. I did my best and he did the rest.

On Monday, i shall be starting a new life. A life God chose for me. God has taken my life out of the darkness and into the light. It's a new start. A new chance to win against the race of life.

Note to Future Self 3

Dearest Future Patty,

You are now thorn between the Future and the Past. You know that all you wanted to do is just to move forward but things just keeps on dragging you to the past. Depression has it's own way of block mailing you of the skeletons you kept in your closet which you thought you have dragged out. But apparently, you were wrong. You still have a couple more of that skeletons hiding inside. And for some reasons, they weren't going anywhere. Depression made it sure that he will be able to use it against you. Please hang on Future Patty. I know you'll be able to survive everything and anything. Just HANG ON.
