( الوسن ) هو رجل الغراب وبمصر جزر الشيطان والشام حشيشة النجاة والسلحفاة لانها ترعاه كثيرا وتعريبه مبرئ الكلب يطول الى ذراع بساق كالرازيانج وورقه بين حمرة وسواد وزهره الى الغبرة أشبه ما يكون بالخلة لولا تفريعه واكاليله الى عرض يسير بطبقتين يفرك عن بزر كالناخواه الى الخضرة والحدة الحرافة والمرارة وثقل الرائحة ويغش بالوخشيزك والفرق بينهما المرارة وما قبلها ويقطف اول يولية وهو حار فى اول الثلثة يابس فى اول الرابعة وقيل حرارته فى الثانية ويبسه فى الاولى وقطفه طلوع الشعرى اليمانية وهو جلاء بالحدة مقطع بالمرارة محلل منفذ بالحرارة يبرئ الاثار طلاء بالعسل وكذا القرع وبثور الراس والزكام سعوطا وضيق النفس سعوطا وبلغم القصبة وخام المعدة وينقى الكلى ويدر الفضلات شرابا بالعسل والقولنج ويهضم الطعام ويخرج الرياح الغليظة وبلغم الوركين والمفاصل قيل وأذا علق على الرأس فى خرقة حمراء سكن الصداع ويضر بالكبد ويصلحه الكثيرا وشربته الى درهمين وبدله حشيشة الفار أو حب الغار مثل نصفه أو مثلاه نانخواه

تابع حرف الالف  ( أطريال ) بربرى تعريبه رجل الطير لشبهه بها فى الاظفار ويسمى ايضا جزر الارض والشيطان وهو كالشبث ساقا والخلة صفة لكنه ايضا مفرق وزهره ابيض يخلف بزرا الى الغبرة حاد حريف مر الطعم ثقيل الرائحة الى طول مشرف الاوراق مربع الاصل يقطف من نصف ايار الى نصف حزيران ويغش بالخلة ويعرف بالحدة وبالبقدونس ويعرف بنقص المرارة فى ذلك وأجوده الرزين الحديث وهو حار يابس فى الرابعة يسكن انواع الرياح حتى الايلاوس يتعاطى أكلا ولو بالعسل ويجلو الات النفس ويستأصل شأفة البلغم حيث كان كل ذلك عن تجربة ويدر الفضلات ويفتح السدد بطعومه وحرارته وينقى الكلى والمثانة ويحرق مع الزجاج فيفتت الحصى شربا بالعسل ويجفف القروح ضمادا ويسقط الاجنة ويزيل الاثار طلاء بالقطران قيل وينفع من الكلب ولو خاف الماء كالآلوسن ولم يثبت وأما نفعه من البرص فأمر يقينى قد تقرر وكيفية استعماله ان يشرب مفردا ثلاث دراهم وحده اذا قدم البرص أو كان البياض فى الاعصاب والعظام كمفصل الركبة والجبهة خمسة عشر يوما أو مركبا من واحد الى أثنين مع نصف درهم من كل ورق السذاب وسلخ الحية وجربته بشرب درهم واحد مع مثله من كل من التربد والزنجبيل والعاقر قرحا فأبرأ المزمن فى مرة واحدة وشرطه كشف الاماكن فى الشمس يوما وعدم تناول الماء وهو يضر الكبد الحارة ويصلحه السكنجبين والكلى ويصلحه الكثيرا وبدله فى سوى البرص مثله بقدونس ونصفه نانخواه وسدس كندس .

( ابهل ) بكسر الهمزة والهاء أو فتح الهمزة وضم الهاء هو بيوطس باليونانية وهو صنف من العرعار أو هو نفسه منه صغير الورق كالطرفا وكبير وكالسرو ويقارب النبق فى الحجم أحمر اللون فاذا تم استواؤه اسود ينكسر عن اغشية كنشارة مسودة داخلها نوى مختلف الحجم فيه حلاوة وقبض وحدة يجمع فى رأس السرطان وأجوده الرزين الحديث الاسود ويغش بالسرو وهو أصغر منه وبالطرفا ويعرف بالسواد والخضرة فى الورق وهو حار يابس فى الثانية أو فى الثالثة أو يبسه فقط فى الثالثة بالغ النفع فى الاواكل والاثار والعفونات حيث كانت والتحليل والتلطيف والجلاء وادرار الطمث حتى يبول الدم واسقاط الاجنة دلكا وشربا بالعسل ويطبخ فى الادهان فيفتح الصمم وان قدم قطورا وفى السمن ويعقد بالعسل فيخرج أفات البطن كالديدان أكلا ومسحوقه بالعسل يذهب الربو والبواسير أكلا وداء الثعلب طلاء مجرب وهو كورقة فى تحليل الاورام والاذمال ومنع سعى القروح والنملة ذرورا وتنقية الاوساخ دلكا ويضر بالكبد ويصلحه الحولنجان وبالحلق والمعدة ويصلحه الحماما أو السمن او العسل وبدله مطلقا مثله من كل السلخة وجوز السر وفى التلطيف الدارصينى وشربته من أثنين الى ثلاثة .

حرف الالف ( 4 )

( ابريسم ) بكسر الهمزة والسين المهملة المفتوحة معرب بريشم بالعجمية وهو الحرير ويسمى بذلك قبل ان يخرقه الدود وبعد الخرق قزا او القز ما عدا الرفيع وبعد الحل حريرا اتفاقا واجوده الاصفر الذى يشتد بياضه اذا غسل وحل وكان رقيقا وربى عند الاعتدال الاول ولم يطعم دوده سوى ورق التوت الابيض ولا يغش بغير انواعه وهو حار فى الاولى معتدل او يابس فيها أو رطب يخصب البدن مطلقا ويمنع تولد القمل لبسا والخفقان وضعف المعدة والرئة أكلا ورماده لقروح العين والدمعة والسلاق والجرب كجلا اذا غسل ووقوعه فى الادوية عند الحل أن يقرض ويسحق مع الجواهر والرازى يطبخ حتى يتهرى وتسقى الادوية ماءه يحرق فى قدر جديد مثقب الغطاء أو على نحاس أحمر وهذا أضعفها ومتى خلط مطبوخا بالسكر وشرب فتح السدد واصلح الالوان جدا ويضر محروقه بالكلى ويصلحه الاسارون وشربته من واحد الى ثلاثة وبدله ثلاثة امثال ماميران وفى تخصيب البدن الكتان الجديد واذا دخر وجب ان يبرز الى الهواء كل اسبوع ويرطب الامنسوجه .

( أبنوس ) معرب من العجمية بلاواو وباليونانية سيافيطوس وبالفرس والعجمية هبقيتم ينبت بالحبشة والهند فى الارض الرملية والحبشى لا بياض فيه واوراقه كأوراق الصنوبر أو هى أعرض لا تسقط ويعم كالجوز وله ثمر كالعنب لكنه الى الصفرة والحلاوة يقطف اوائل الميزان وأجوده الرزين الشديد السواد الشبيه بالقرون الكثيف المكسر الذى حكاكته ياقوتية وهو حار فى الثالثة يابس فى اخر الثانية ملطف محلل بحدة فيه اذا شرب فتت الحصى وأدر البول ونفع من الطحال بالعسل وسحالته كحل جيد للبياض والقروح والدمعة ونبت الاشفار وحفظ صحة العين وكذا محروقه وهو يضر المعدة ويصلحه العسل وشربته الى ثلاثة وقيل بدله خشب النبق اليابس .

حرف الا لف ( 6 )

( ابو قابس ) أو قابوس يونانية هو أبو حلسا بالبربرية وسيأتى وقوع هذا الاسم على خس الحمار وبالعراق شب العصفر وبالعربية الاشنان والحرض وخرء العصافير وبالفارسى بناله وعصارته القلى اذا أحرق او شمس وقيل لا يكون قليا لارماده وهو ينبت بالسباخ الحجرية ويطول الى ذراع ومنه ما يلصق بالارض وورقه مفتول وزهره ابيض غليظ الاصل فيه ملوحة وحدة وشدة مرارة وأجوده الحديث الضارب الى الصفرة والخضرة وأضعفه الابيض ويجتنى فى الثور والجوزاء وهو حار يابس فى الثانية ورطبه فى الثالثة مقطع ملطف جلاء محلل مفتح بالحرافة والحدة يقلع الاوساخ حيث كانت بمرارته ويجلو سائر الاثار لطوخا بالعسل ويزيل الربو وضيق النفس والبلغم والنخام ويدر سائر الفضلات ويذهب عسر البول والا ستسقاء والاجنة ولو حمولا وماؤه القاطر ويلحق السادس بالاول اذا طفئ فيه وموع بالنشادر وأعيد سبكه الى أحد وعشرين وعند الثقاة اذا دمس بالزجاج وقشر البيض ليلة ثم فعل به ما ذكر كان غاية ويضر بالمعدة والكلى ويصلحه العسل وبالسفل ويصلحه العناب وشربته الى ثلاثة ومطبوخا الى عشرة ولا يكون سما الا هذا القدر من عصارته وأهل مصر تشربه مع السنا فى النار الفارسية والحكة ولا أثر لحرارته وذكره ما لايسع فى الالف والشين غلطا .

حرف الالف ( 7 )

( ابن عرس ) باليونانية سطيوس وهو حيوان يألف البيوت بمصر ويسمى العرسة والفرق بينه وبين الفأر طول رجليه ورأسه وهو حار يابس فى الثالثة عصبى كثير العروق الى اليبس لا ينضج الا بعسر سبرئ من السموم كيف كان خصوصا من طسيقون أى النبات الذى تسقى به السهام فتسم واذا حشى بالكزبرة والملح وقدد نفع من ذلك ايضا قيل ويهيج الشهوة ويطرد البرد وينفع الكبد ويوضع مشقوقا فيجذب السم والسلا . قيل واذا نزع كعبه حيا وعلق منع الحمل وأكله يحلل الرياح الغليظة ويضر الاحشاء ويصلحه ان يطبخ فى الشيرج أو الزيت ويؤكل بفجل أو بقل .

( حرف الالف 8 )

( أباز ) ليس له غيره هو الرصاص المحرق بالنار فى قدر اذا طبقت صفائحه بالكبريت أو الاسفيداج وأخرق وغسل وأعيد عمله حتى يكون هباء وهو بارد يابس فى الثالثة ينفع من القروح مطلقا سوى الشرى ويصلح العين ويحلل الاورام بالخل طلاء والاستسقاء ويقع فى المراهم والاشياف وشربه خطر يولد الكرب والغثيان ويوقع فى الامراض وعلاجه القئ وأشربة الفواكه واذا لم ينق بلع الزئبق فانه يخرج به على ما ذكره بعض المجر وبدله الاسرنج .

( اترج ) معروف وباليونانية ثاليطيسون يعنى ترياق السموم ومنه يونانى وبالعربية متكأ والسريانية لتراكين وهوثمر شجر يطول ناعم الورق والحطب ويدرك عند شمس القوس وأجوده الاملس الطوال الكبار النضيجة وأردؤه مامال الى استدارة ومنه ما فى وسطه حماض وهو مركب القوى قشره حار يابس فى أخر الثانية أو يبسه فى الاولى ولحمه حار فيها رطب فى الثانية وكذا بذره وقيل بارد وحماضه بارد يابس فى الثانية مفرح وينفع الرئه ويزيل الخفقان والسدد ويحلل الرياح الغليظة ويقوى المعدة ورماد قشره يذهب البرص طلاء ومجموعه يحلل الاورام والدبيلات اذا طبخ بخمر وطلى والمفاصل والنقرس على ما ذكر وحماضه يحل الجواهر وينفع من اليرقان ويقوى الشهوة وبزره الى ثلاثة ترياق السموم بالشراب خصوصا العقرب واذا حل مع اللؤلؤ بحامضه فى الحمام فى قارورة نفع بالاشربة من كل سم ومرض فى الاعضاء الاربعة والزحير مجرب ولحمه ردئ يضر المعدة ويصلحه السكنجب

ين ورائحته تجلب الزكام ويصلحه العود وشربته الى عشرة

( أثل ) العظيم من الطرفاء بالبربرية أغرط واليونانية قسطارين ثمرة الكزمازك وبالجيم وبالعراق الابهل وبمصر العذبة أو العذبة الصغار التى داخل الحب وهو يقارب السر ولكنه أخشن ورقا من جهة مزغب لا زهر له بل ثمر كالحمص فى أغصانه الى غبرة وصفرة ينكسر عن حب صغار ملتصق وماؤه أحمر وأجوده الحديث المأخوذ فى خريران يعنى بؤنه ويوليه وهو بارد فى الاولى وقيل حار يابس فى الثانية قابض بالعفوصة جلاء مفتح بالمرارة اذا طبخ بخمر قوى الكبد مطلقا وبالماء مع العفص والرمان يقوم مقام حبوب الزئبق والشويصينى فى ازالة القروح والنار الفارسية والاكلة والنملة شربا مجرب ورماده يشد اللثة ويجلو الاوساخ خصوصا من الاسنان ويقطع الدم كيف استعمل وماؤه حكى لى من أثق به انه اذا سقى به الكبريت عشرة اوزانه وقطر سبع دفعات صبغ الاؤلرابعا وأزال الاثار ومنع الشيب شربا وطبيخه أو رماده بالزيت يشد الشعر والمقعدة وينحر به الجدرى فيسقط بعد الاسبوع وكذا البواسير ومع اللنج يمنع وجع الاسنان وهو يضعف المعدة ويصلحه الصمغ والشربة من طبيخه الى نصف رطل ومن عصارته الى اربع أواق ومن ثمره الى ثلاثة دراهم وبدله العرعار وجوز السرو .

الخلاصة : لعلاج الحمّى ودرجة الحرارة العالية نستخدم سائل نبات الأثل السكري الذي ينتج عن أغصان الأثل. لتخفيف آلام الأسنان والتخلص منه التمضمض بمغلي أوراق نبات الأثل. لتقوية الكبد شرب مقدار يقدر بأربع أوقيات ونصف منه. لعلاج البهاق ندق ورق نبات الأثل الطازج في وعاء، وندهن مكان البهاق بالمزيج ونتركه لمدة عشر دقائق أو خمس عشرة دقيقة، ثم نشطفه بالماء، وتكرر هذه العملية لثلاثة أيام متتالية ..

( اثمد ) بالكسر الكحل الاصفهانى الاسود والكره وباليونانية سطينى وهو من كبريت ضعيف وزئبق ردئ عقدتهما الرطوبة الغريبة بالحرارة الضعيفة فلذلك اسود ومولده جبال فارس قيل والمغرب وأجوده الرزين والبراق السريع التفتت اللذاع بين مرارة وحلاوة وقبض وهو بارد فى اول الثالثة يابس فى أخرها وهو قابض مكثف يشد الاعصاب ويقطع الدم مطلقا حيث كان خصوصا بالشحوم وتغسله أهل مصر بماء طوبة يعنى كانون الثانى فيصير غاية فى حدة البصر وحفظ صحة العين خصوصا بالمسك ومتى عجن بالشجوم وأحرق وطفئ فى لبن من ترضع الذكر وسحق مع اللؤلؤ وزبل الحردون والسكر النقى جلا الغشاوة والبياض مجرب ويمنع بروز المقعدة ضمادا بعسل أو شحم ذرورا مع حصى لبان الجاوى يغنى عن تقطيب الجروح بالابر مجرب ومن لم يعتده يرمده ويقذى عينه ومع الحضض والسماق يقطع الروطابات ويشد الاجفان وينبت اللحم الناقص ويزيل الزائد مع الاسفيداج حرقا بالنار وشرب درهم منه فى اربعة ايام يمنع الحبل ويسبك مع الفضة فيفعل بها كالقصدير ويسبك بالصابون أياما فيعود رصاصا يقيم الاجساد وهو سم قتال يكرب ويغثى ويجلب السرسام واللهيب والاختناق وعلاجه القئ باللبن والعسل وأخذ الربوب الحامضة والامراق الدهنية وقد يضر بالمفاصل ويصلحه الباد زهر وشراب الاترج وقد يقوم مقامه الابار وزنه أو توتيا أو لؤلؤ غير مثقوب كذلك أو نصف وزنه نحاس محرق

( اثلق ) البنجيجشت ( اثرار ) الامير باريس ( اثناسيا ) وبألف بعد المثلثة باليونانية يطلق على تركيب خاص تعريبه المنقذ من الامراض ويعزى الى جالينوس وقيل أقدم وأجوده المعتدل القوام الباقى فيه رائحة الشراب ويغش بالبرشعثا ويعرف بطعم البلسان وهو حار فى اول الثالثة يابس فى اخرها او فى الثانية ينفع مع السعال المزمن والصداع واوجاع الصدر والمعدة وقذف المدة والدم وضعف الكبد والامراض البلغمية ويخلص من السموم المشروبة ومن امراض المقعدة طلاء وشربا ويستعمل فى الاستسقاء بماء الكرفس والسموم باللبن والقولون بطبيخه مع الشبت وعسر البول بماء النجيل والشبت وشربته من ربع مثقال الى درهم بعد ستة اشهر من طبخه وتنقص قوته بعد اربع سنين ( صنعته ) أى طريقة صنعه زعفران مرقد دمانا خشنجاش اسود سنبل اصل الغافت وعصارته كبد الذئب قرن المعز الايمن محرقا سواء تنقع بمثلث أو شراب اسبوعا ثم تعجن يثلاثة امثالها عسلا منزوعا وترفع فى الرصاص او الفضة واذا فقد قرن المعز وكبد الذئب يعتاض عنهما بميعة وقسط وعود بلسان وأفيون كالبواقى وغافت مثل احدها وأصل اسوسن ثلاثة امثاله فتسمى الصغرى وعندهم انها تفعل ما ذكر والصحيح ان هذه اليق بالامزجة الحارة من تلك

 بالمغرب الاسود منه متوفر ولا وجود لما عدا البرقوق من أصنافه بمصر وكله معدوم فى البلاد التى عرضها اقل من أربعة وعشرين. وشجرة يطول الى ثلاثة أذرع وربما زاد ناعم الورق سبط العود قليل الاحتمال للعنف قشر عوده طعمه الى المرارة كورقه والمسمى بالخوخ فى مصر ليس منه بل هو الدراقن ويطلق الاجاص على الاسود اليابس من أصنافه عرفا طبياوالخوخ على رطبه مطلقا منه برى وبستانى ويركب احدهما فى ألاخر وكل فى اللوز والمشمش وهو بارد رطب وحامضه يابس يسكن العطش وأمراض الحارين كلها والخلفة والغثيان والقئ ويحبس الدم ويطلق بالتليين سيما ماؤه ويفتح السدد ومع اضافة الخل يجفف القروح بالدهان خصوصا فى الصبيان وورقه يقتل الدود بدهانه على البطن ذرورا على الجروح القديمة . وبطبخه سائر اجزائه يسكن الصداع وأوجاع اللثة بالغرغرة ومن خواصه ان حامضه بالسعال ويقطع بلغمه بدهانه مع الخل ويقضى على الحصى شربا ويدر البول ويضر الدماغ ويصلحه العناب ويضر المعدة ويصلحه السكنجبين والمبرودين ويصلحه اضرارة العسل أو المصطكى أو الكندر وقدر ما يستعمل منه الى نصف رطل وبدله فى اللهيب والغثيان التمر هندى او الزعرور المعروف فى مصر بالقراصية لكنه اقل نفعا .

A $1bn (£621m) project to build a replica of the Taj Mahal has been unveiled in the Gulf emirate of Dubai.

The Taj Arabia complex would be much bigger than the original monument to love and include a 300-room hotel, shops and commercial buildings, developer Arun Mehra said.

It would be ready by 2014 and be known as the "New City of Love", he said.

The complex will also house other structures such as the Eiffel Tower, Pyramids and the Great Wall of China.

The Taj Mahal, which is situated in the northern Indian town of Agra, is a Unesco World Heritage site.

It was completed more than 350 years ago by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a shrine for his wife Mumtaz and took more than 20 years to build.

The white marble mausoleum, situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, is sometimes known as a teardrop on the cheek of time.

The Taj Arabia complex will be built around the Taj Mahal which is a "symbol of love and will include various facilities to encapsulate the beauty of life, love and romance mixed with the long established Mughal architecture", Mr Mehra, who is the chairman of Link Global Group, told the Press Trust of India.

The developers say they hope that the Taj Arabia will become a new wedding destination and attract couples to it.

An earlier plan to build the complex was shelved when the company was hit by the global economic downturn.
