jQuery plugins updated

Recently I had some time to spend in the jQuery plugins. Nothing mayor, just a bit of presentation, cleanup. The biggest thing was to merge a fork from Tom Fotherby (thanks!), so now jOdometer has comma formatting.

FEM CSS Framework is getting popular!

Last month I had a wave of visits from different CSS portals that featured FEM CSS Framework. I didn’t do any promotion at all other than showing it to some friends and related people, but apparently when one portal find you all the rest come behind!

I got very good feedback from some people trying it out. It’s a good feeling. Maybe I should promote my stuff a little bit more…

Porting my jQuery plugins to Github

Just ported the jQuery plugins that are still active to Github, that is the things that I still use, because some of the plugins are quite old already, and there are better plugins available. I still have them in the jQuery plugin repository, but the development will be now under Git version control. I got used to it developing websites and now I can’t live without it!

Hello everyone and welcome to Front End Matters!

My name is Suso Guez (Jesus Carrera Rodriguez) and I’m a professional front end developer. This site is intended to be a place where newcomers to this hostile world can get help and learn about front end development. That is basically the HTML, CSS and JavaScript languages, but of course taking care of the overall user experience.

I’ll have here a pragmatic front end manual, and also I’ll post updates about front end world. If you are minimally interested in front end, or you are not but you have to, this site is for you.

With the opening of this site I say good by to my old blog, jesuscarrera.info, which was born in 2006. I realized that it was a mess. Posts of a bit of everything internet/computer/personal related, half in Spanish, half in English, and it was already ugly. I wasn’t updating it from ages, and it was working basically as a source code reference for me. Now I use another specialised services and the site didn’t have sense. Front End Matters has a different purpose. Hope you like it!
