Spring Product arriving in-stores!

Hello everyone,

Although it is still snowing on the mountains (53cm in 24 hours on Mt.Washington). We are starting to receive all of our new spring product in our stores! So far we have new product from: LGR, RDS, FOX, HURLEY, SITKA, RVCA, EMERICA, ETNIES, and more! New product will be arriving daily so come down and check out all of our new product.

We hope to get all the new stuff added to the web-store as soon as possible. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out @ www.frontsideshop.ca. We are proud to announce a new addition to the Frontside lineup with NOMIS DESIGN!

To help launch the new line, we are having a contest/giveaway on our web-store for $250.00 of new gear!

January 2012 is finally here and we're asking ourselves, how many people have their snow gear and are ready to take on the slopes as the temperature continues to drop? Hey everyone,

Today we'd like to congratulate the winner of our RDS giveaway! In case someone she's ordered it for is following our posts, I'll leave their name anonymous (since it is the holiday season). Keep following for future contests!

9 days until Christmas everyone. Today seems like the day that everyone has joined together and said "Lets go shopping!" Store owners, could you imagine all the customers you've seen today if they were to try and cram into a single coffee shop this morning to meet up and say "Okay guys, lets do all of our shopping TODAY!"

Right now in store, we have a Buy one, get one half price deal going on. It's pretty wicked, having a sale going on before boxing day. There's lots of hidden gems in store right now, and if we decide to get foursquare situated, people on their smart phones will actually find hidden gems ;)

12 days of Christmas

Hey everyone,

We're entering into the 12 days of Christmas, and the weather certainly looks it here in sunny British Columbia. The ground glazed with frost, malls filled with rampant christmas shoppers, and bright lights advertising holiday cheer.

We just had our moonlight madness sale this past Saturday (We rented giant spotlights and stayed open until 11pm.) It's always fascinating how far away the spot lights can be seen from. You can be on the opposite end of town and look up into the night sky and think "What's going on over there?" as you see the spotlights off in the distance. Sales are always enjoyable for people to see, especially when they're expecting everything to be closed at that hour as well.

Our web store is just hanging out, frontsideshop.ca. There's some sick snow gear on there, (it may look a little summery, but things like Quiksilver's Japair gloves keep things in season) Our contest for an RDS giveaway is closing soon. Contest closes December 15th, the day on which we'll do the draw and mail off the package. For those who haven't heard, it's a full outfit at an est. value of $350. While you're there signing up, take the opportunity to join our mailing list (I promise, we don't spam, just a friendly email every month or two with some news.) The Holiday Season

Hey everyone,

Enjoying the weather yet? December has finally arrived. Cars are frozen shut in the mornings, the air is crisp and cool, snow is anticipated to arrive... it's that time of year again. And with only 23 days until Christmas, get prepared for warm fires, hot cocoa, spending time with loved ones, and of course... the mad dash of shopping.
Right now it's Buy one, get one half price at Frontside in store! We have snow jackets from Burton, Foursquare, DC, Arson, Orb, Roxy, and Volcom. Yesterday, we also received a wicked looking shipment of Oakley goggles. My staff pick if you're going up the mountain would be to pick up a Burton jacket, (say... the Andover in stout white/true black anyone?) and get yourself a pair of top end Oakley's for half price, or matching snow pants from Foursquare to go with your jacket.

In other news on the product end of things, we've received our shipment of the always popular Fox/Monster Fox/Rockstar colab's. This year there's t-shirts, hoodies and hats. If you're a hoody person all year round, this may be the perfect item for you:

Jackets and In Store

Hey everyone,

As we enter the holiday season at Frontside and frontsideshop.ca, the variety of product we're seeing is crazy! A lot of the companies have some really good holiday lines out. In store we received Burton and Foursquare jackets recently. The Foursquare jackets have that timeless look to them, and Burton always makes innovative top notch product.

On the web store, we've added jackets from Orb, Nikita, Arson, Roxy, and Quiksilver. The Nikita jackets for girls have a really vibrant look to them. New DC product will be added soon as well.

I'd like to give a shout out to everyone who's picked up a Sitka hoody recently. They're very warm and look great. I've seen a lot of people wearing them now that the temperature's dropping with the season.

The "Knock on" effect

Hey everyone, how's it going? Troy from Frontside here,

As we move into the final stages of our web store (now open to the public (by the way) at frontsideshop.ca) we've run into what's called the "knock on" effect. (Which is the equivalent of a row of dominos falling in the computer world). AdVision has been wonderful for working us through it, and soon we'll have all that can be imagined for our web store!

Some of you may have noticed that there's a large portion of images online that say "Image Coming Soon"... All the photos for these were taken last night by Kyle out in Ladysmith with some local models, and very soon you'll be able to see all the images filling our pages with swag clothing!

We're in the process of adding Gift Cards to our web store for the Christmas season, which is really exciting for everyone. It's always a cool feature to have, especially on a web store. Keep checking back for more details!

Also, RDS giveaway! Come on guys, Free outfit, RDS apparel, pretty sweet package (I've personally seen the whole package, the snapback hat in there is wicked!)

Closer by the hour

Hey Everyone;

Our web store is getting closer and closer to completion by the hour. If you haven't heard about it yet, www.frontsideshop.ca is going to be our launch into the online world. Photos upon photos have been pouring into our graphic design section and getting prepped for our web store's upcoming launch!

If you haven't heard of us before, Frontside is a surf/snow/skate apparel store on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The two shops are in Duncan and Nanaimo and locally operated. If you find yourself checking out the island's action sport attractions like Tofino for surfing or Mt.Washington for snowboarding, stop off the highway into one of our locations!

Web store/In store update

First post**

www.frontsideshop.ca is well underway. Our web store will be launched very soon. It's quite an exciting season for us here at Frontside. We're doing a photoshoot tomorrow for the Fall 2011 clothing for our web store (photos coming soon). The quality from the test shots we've done is stunning.

To update everyone on recent clothing in store, we received a very large shipment of DC clothing and shoes this past week and we've also received smaller shipments of Nikita and Plan B since.

Soon you'll be able to visit us online at www.frontsideshop.ca but in the meantime, come visit us in the store! We're always happy to help people find sweet clothing.
